Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Ask a Class 11 or 12 student in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) which subject keeps slipping, and chemistry is a common answer. It is really three subjects under one name. Physical chemistry is mostly numericals, where a missed unit costs the mark. Organic chemistry is a growing web of reactions that must connect. Inorganic chemistry is precise recall that fades quickly. Alongside all this sits a written board paper, the HSC for junior-college students or CBSE or ISC in school, which wants reasons and balanced equations rather than ticked options. A home tutor's value lies in keeping all of this moving together. NXTutors puts forward two or three chemistry tutors who suit the syllabus and can reach your locality, with every fee shown in advance and a free first demo.
Both NTA tests in 2026 awarded four marks for a right answer and deducted one for a wrong one; NTA confirms the pattern again each year. For entrance priorities, see the NEET chemistry chapters that matter most, our JEE chemistry guide by branch and the NEET chemistry tutor page.
On the State Board, Standards XI and XII are usually taught at a junior college, and the HSC at the end is conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Since the board revises its chemistry syllabus, textbook and evaluation scheme from time to time, we do not restate the paper here. Instead, put these points to any tutor you meet:
State Board support in other subjects is on our Maharashtra Board tutor page for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
CBSE assigns marks to each chapter, which makes the year straightforward to plan. The 2026-27 design matches the previous session; here are the ten chapters arranged by branch:
| Branch (total) | Chapter | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Physical (23) | Electrochemistry | 9 |
| Solutions | 7 | |
| Chemical Kinetics | 7 | |
| Inorganic (14) | d- and f-Block Elements | 7 |
| Coordination Compounds | 7 | |
| Organic (33) | Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids | 8 |
| Biomolecules | 7 | |
| Haloalkanes and Haloarenes | 6 | |
| Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers | 6 | |
| Amines | 6 |
Organic chemistry carries the most marks, so it needs steady weekly attention rather than a burst before the preliminaries. The paper is divided into five lettered sections with some internal choice, and neither a calculator nor a log table is allowed. Roughly two-fifths of the marks test recall and understanding; the rest ask students to apply, analyse or evaluate. The Class 12 organic and inorganic chemistry guide works through each chapter, and the Class 12 chemistry tutor page shows a board-year plan.
For 2026-27 two areas are gone from Class 12 altogether: the solid state, and Groups 15 to 18 of the p-block. Four others are taught and assessed in school but kept off the board paper: surface chemistry, the isolation of elements, polymers, and chemistry in everyday life.
That list is for board revision only. NTA publishes separate syllabi for its tests, and material the board has removed, parts of the p-block among it, can still be examined there. MHT-CET likewise follows its own published syllabus. Before a topic is skipped, check it against the official list for every exam your child will sit.
The home session is most useful when it follows what college or coaching covered that week, then does what a large class has no time for:
| Branch | Where marks go | Routine at home |
|---|---|---|
| Physical | The formula is known but a unit, a sign or a power of ten goes wrong | One or two problems solved aloud, line by line, while the tutor watches every step |
| Organic | Reactions learned as a list, so conversion questions feel impossible | A single reaction map linking alcohols, carbonyl compounds, acids and amines, redrawn from memory each week |
| Inorganic | Trends and exceptions forgotten within a few weeks | Short quizzes taken word for word from NCERT, each answer with the reason behind the trend |
Close every lesson with two "give reasons" questions in board style, marked before the tutor leaves. That keeps the written paper in step with all the objective practice an entrance year brings.
Volumetric analysis and salt analysis carry 8 marks each, a content-based experiment 6, and the project and the record with viva 4 each. In this session the titration is potassium permanganate against oxalic acid or Mohr's salt (ferrous ammonium sulphate), and every student must weigh out and make up the standard solution personally.
Without glassware, a tutor can still rehearse the molarity calculation for the weighed sample, set out burette readings in a clean table that leads to the result, run through salt analysis from preliminary tests to confirmatory ones, help pick a project the student can complete, and ask likely viva questions, for instance why permanganate needs no separate indicator. HSC students can prepare their own journal and practical in the same way.
The east, the old centre and the south-centre of the city each bring their own arrangements for a regular evening lesson. All areas are listed on the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar page.
CIDCO began in the 1970s as New Aurangabad, and its neighbourhoods carry numbers from N-1 to N-15; give the sector and building name. HUDCO is laid out in parts H-1 to H-20, mostly independent houses where the tutor simply comes to the door. Homes on Jalna Road itself are easiest to reach on the near side of the traffic; the road is at its heaviest on weekday evenings, so an early slot or a weekend lesson is often steadier.
Begumpura mixes older family houses on narrow lanes with small apartment buildings, and roads towards Shahgunj fill up in the evening; share a landmark and expect the tutor on a two-wheeler. Osmanpura, also written Usmanpura, is mostly flats in multistorey buildings with an entrance register, so send the flat number and building name, and agree the hour early as the roads near Nirala Bazar crowd at dusk.
Garkheda takes in Garkheda Parisar and smaller nagars around Sutgirni Chowk. Flats are common, and many buildings have a watchman who notes visitors; Sutgirni Chowk or Deolai Chowk makes a good landmark. Tutors come here from CIDCO, Osmanpura and the Beed Bypass side.
Near the preliminary exams, if a route becomes unreliable, shift one weekly lesson online to protect the revision plan. The zone pages for Old City and Central and Garkheda and Jyoti Nagar, and the home tuition guide for the city, go deeper.
Teachers for these courses are fewer than for the HSC or CBSE, so ask early, and consider an online specialist paired with a local tutor who marks written work. For a student still in Class 11, this is the year to make the mole concept, equilibrium and basic organic chemistry secure, because all three run through Class 12. See the Class 11 chemistry tutor page.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor quotes a rate of their own, shaped by the exam in view, their experience of teaching it, the evening journey to your area and how often you want lessons. An online lesson may be priced differently by the same tutor. You see every fee before the demo, and the home tuition fees article for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar suggests what to ask.
Include the class and board, the main exam ahead, the branch that loses your child the most marks, the days already taken by college and coaching, your locality with a landmark, and the evenings that are free. You receive two or three chemistry tutors with fees and choose whom to meet for the free demo; if the first is not right, another demo follows, and changing tutor later costs nothing. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after our team has reviewed the ID (how it works). When no suitable tutor can reach you, we suggest an online or part-online arrangement.
NXTutors has its office in Sector 66, Gurugram, and teaches online throughout India. The national chemistry home tutor page explains our matching, and the biology and NEET pages for the city suit medical aspirants. Chemistry teachers who live in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar can browse open requests on the tuition jobs page.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Senior and entrance chemistry usually sit in that upper part; every fee is listed first.
Yes. We look for tutors who teach from the State Board chemistry textbook and its sample papers, check the practical journal, and know where MHT-CET, NEET or JEE needs more depth. The board revises its scheme from time to time, so confirm the current paper on mahahsscboard.in.
Electrochemistry leads with 9 marks and Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids follow with 8. Solutions, Chemical Kinetics, d- and f-Block Elements, Coordination Compounds and Biomolecules carry 7 each. By branch, organic totals 33 of the 70 theory marks, physical 23 and inorganic 14, so organic chemistry needs attention every week.
Not without checking. The solid state and Groups 15 to 18 of the p-block are out of the 2026-27 board paper, but NTA publishes its own syllabi and can still examine some of that material. Use the board list for board revision and the entrance list for entrance work.
By turning reactions into a map rather than a list. A good tutor links alcohols, carbonyl compounds, acids and amines on one sheet that the student redraws from memory each week, so conversion questions become routes to follow instead of facts to cram the night before.
Much of it. The CBSE practical gives 8 marks each to titration and salt analysis, 6 to a content-based experiment and 4 each to the project and the record with viva. A tutor can rehearse calculations, reading tables, the order of salt analysis and viva questions without any glassware.
Sometimes locally, often online, because such teachers are fewer. ISC adds practical and project work to the theory paper, and IB chemistry is organised under structure and reactivity, with an investigation the student must shape alone. Mention the course early so we can search widely.
