What home tuition costs in Aurangabad

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Maths tuition at home in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad): match the tutor to the paper before the postcode

In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, also known as Aurangabad, a maths student might be writing two SSC papers at the end of Standard X, an HSC paper after junior college, a CBSE or CISCE board exam, or an IB or IGCSE assessment. Each of these marks a solution in its own way, and a tutor who is excellent for one can be the wrong choice for another. The city's layout adds a second filter: a family in a CIDCO sector on the eastern side and a family in the old lanes near Gulmandi need tutors coming from different directions. Send NXTutors the course and your locality, and we return two or three maths tutors who fit both, with each fee visible before you meet. The first class with the tutor you choose is a free demo.

Who writes this guide, and what do we ask first?

Abhinandan Tiwary is responsible for the guidance here on Class 10 maths for CBSE and ICSE. Ajay Vatsyayan is responsible for the sections on ISC, IB and IGCSE maths. Before we look for a tutor, we ask four things, in this order:

  1. The examining body. State Board, CBSE, CISCE, IB or Cambridge. It decides the textbook and how working must be shown.
  2. The class and the level. CBSE Standard or Basic in Class 10; IGCSE Core or Extended; IB Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation, at SL or HL.
  3. The language of answers. The State Board recognises both Marathi-medium and English-medium schools, and a tutor should explain in the language your child will write in.
  4. The locality and the free hours. These decide which tutors can come regularly and which would be better online.

How do the maths courses in the city compare?

The table sets the main options side by side. The last column is the habit we look for when we shortlist.

Why does SSC maths need two separate weekly plans?

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, based in Pune, conducts the SSC and HSC examinations, and one of its nine divisional boards carries the name Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. In the board's scheme for Standards IX and X, Mathematics (code 71) is examined as Part I and Part II, each a 40-mark paper, with 20 more marks for work assessed in school. Algebra and geometry are therefore sat as separate papers, and a good score in one does nothing to rescue a weak score in the other.

What we ask an SSC tutor to do, from Standard IX onwards:

  • Rotate the parts on set days. School teaching does not always keep the two parts level; a tutor should, so neither is crammed at the end of the year.
  • Make geometry readable. Every step of a proof or construction needs its reason written beside it, in the order an examiner expects to read it.
  • Work from the board's own material. The prescribed textbook and the sample question papers on mahahsscboard.in come first; a guide written for another board does not.
  • Use the textbook's language. If your child writes in Marathi, the tutor's terms should match the Marathi textbook; if in English, the English one.

The board sets patterns and dates, so read its current scheme before you fix the year's plan. Our Maharashtra Board tutor page for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar covers the state board in every subject.

How should a junior-college student prepare for HSC Mathematics and Statistics?

Most State Board students take Standards XI and XII at a junior college. The Standard XII paper in Mathematics and Statistics (code 40) is set for 80 marks, and its four sections ask for four different skills:

  1. Section A holds eight multiple-choice questions worth two marks each and four very short answers worth one. Only the first attempt at an MCQ is evaluated, so a student should practise writing the option's letter once and moving on.
  2. Section B asks for any eight of twelve two-mark questions. Short answers still need every line of working.
  3. Section C asks for any eight of twelve three-mark questions. A tutor should train the student to choose the eight quickly and stick with the choice.
  4. Section D asks for any five of eight four-mark questions. These are the long answers, and each section starts on a fresh page.

With the options counted, the paper offers 112 marks, 56 from each part of the syllabus. Log tables are allowed and calculators are not, so arithmetic speed matters all year. The choice inside B, C and D can tempt a student to drop whole chapters. We prefer a tutor who agrees, chapter by chapter, which topics are safe to treat lightly for this student and which must be secure, especially if an entrance test follows the board paper.

Which CBSE Class 10 maths units carry the most marks?

For 2026-27 the CBSE board paper is worth 80 marks across 14 NCERT chapters, with the same design as the previous session. A tutor who plans the term by weight gives the heavy units their time first.

CBSE Class 10 maths 2026-27: board marks by unit, heaviest first, and a practice idea for each
UnitMarks of 80Practice idea
Algebra20Quadratics and progressions practised as word problems, not only as drills
Geometry15Theorem proofs written with a reason on every line
Trigonometry12Identities proved both ways; heights and distances drawn before solving
Statistics and probability11Grouped-data tables set out neatly, with the formula named
Mensuration10Combined solids sketched and split before any calculation
Real numbers; coordinate geometry6 eachShort, accurate answers for quick marks

The paper has five sections, A to E: twenty one-mark items (eighteen multiple-choice and two assertion–reason), five two-mark questions, six of three marks, four of five, and three case studies worth four each. Calculators are not allowed, and π is 22/7 unless the question says otherwise. Basic covers the same chapters as Standard but leans more on recall, so choose Standard if maths in Class 11 is likely. Since 2026, Class 10 students sit one compulsory main exam and may take an optional second exam to improve up to three subjects; dates are for CBSE to announce. See the Class 10 maths preparation guide, the board-year planner and the Class 10 maths tutor page. For ICSE Class 10, the single 80-mark paper with 20 internal marks is explained in the ICSE Class 10 maths guide.

What changes for Class 12, the entrance tests and the international courses?

Senior students often carry two targets at once. The facts below are the ones a tutor should plan around:

CBSE Class 12
38 compulsory questions for 80 marks, of which calculus is worth 35. The Class 12 calculus and algebra guide and the Class 12 maths tutor page go further.
JEE Main
In 2026, Paper 1 had 75 questions for 300 marks, 25 of them maths: 20 multiple-choice and 5 with a numerical answer, marked +4 for a correct response and −1 for a wrong one. NTA confirms each year's pattern on jeemain.nta.nic.in. Read the JEE maths topic-wise guide and our JEE home tutor page for the city.
MHT-CET
Maharashtra's professional entrance test, run by the State CET Cell. Take its syllabus and pattern only from cetcell.mahacet.org.
ISC Class 12
For the 2027 and 2028 exams, one 80-mark paper of seven compulsory units, with no choice between Sections B and C; calculus carries 35 and two projects add 20. The ICSE and ISC maths guide has the detail.
IB Diploma
Analysis and Approaches leans on algebra, calculus and proof and has a non-calculator paper; Applications and Interpretation leans on modelling and statistics. SL is two papers at 40% each, HL two at 30% and one at 20%, and the exploration, which must be the student's own work, supplies the last 20%. See the IB maths AA or AI guide.
Cambridge IGCSE
Core caps the grade at C; Extended runs from A* to G. Settle the tier with the school well before entries close.

A single tutor can cover a board paper and an entrance test if the week is divided on purpose: one session that ends in a long, fully written answer, and one of timed objective questions with every error noted. If coaching is already in the picture, the home tutor's job is the problems the batch left unsolved, not a repeat of the lecture. IB, ISC and IGCSE teachers are fewer in the city, so name the course in your first message; an online specialist is a sound fallback.

What should you arrange for a maths tutor in six localities?

Most tutors in the city travel by two-wheeler, auto or city bus, so a clear address and a sensible hour decide whether a weekly class holds. Every locality is on the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar home tuition page.

OsmanpuraMostly flats in multistorey buildings, with some older housesShare the building name and flat number for the entrance registerAgree a fixed slot early; Nirala Bazar roads are busy at dusk
GarkhedaFlats in apartment buildings and houses in older coloniesUse Sutgirni Chowk or Deolai Chowk as the landmark for the watchmanChowks get busy in the evening; fit the slot to the family's routine
UlkanagariFlats and some builder floors; a few older buildings have no liftMention the floor and where a two-wheeler can standA regular slot agreed at the start avoids the evening build-up

The zone pages for CIDCO and Jalna Road, the Old City and Central belt and Garkheda and Jyoti Nagar add landmarks and calmer hours, and the home tuition guide for the city covers all five zones.

What should you watch for in the free demo?

Ask the tutor to teach the chapter your child is on at school this week, using your child's own notebook. Then look for these signs:

  • Diagnosis before teaching. The tutor checks what your child can already do before explaining anything new.
  • A label for each mistake. Careless arithmetic, a misread question and a missing concept need different remedies, and the tutor should say which one is at work.
  • Working in the examiner's format. Reasons beside each SSC geometry step; sections laid out as the HSC paper asks; the step marking CBSE uses.
  • A short written task. Your child should solve something alone during the lesson, not only watch.
  • A plan you can repeat back. By the end you should know what the next few lessons will cover and what homework will be checked.

If the fit is wrong, tell us and we set up a demo with another tutor on your shortlist; switching tutor later is also free. The demo class checklist for parents lists more to notice.

Home, online or a mix?

Sitting at the same table, a tutor catches a slip in a proof or a sign the moment it appears, which helps younger children most. Online lessons make sense when the right specialist lives across the city, when junior college or coaching finishes late, or when the course is ISC or IB and local teachers are few. Another option is one home lesson and one online lesson a week with the same tutor, which also saves a second trip at the busiest hour. The home tutor or online tutor article sets out the trade-offs.

How much does a maths home tutor cost here?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Every tutor sets a personal rate. The course and class, the tutor's experience with that paper, the trip to your locality at your chosen time and the number of lessons each week all move it. You see each fee on the shortlist before the demo, and the home tuition fees article for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar lists questions worth asking.

How do you ask for a maths shortlist?

Write the class; the course by its full name (SSC, HSC Mathematics and Statistics, CBSE Standard or Basic, ICSE, ISC, IB or IGCSE); any entrance test ahead; the language your child writes answers in; your locality and a landmark such as the CIDCO bus stand, Kalda Corner or Sutgirni Chowk; and the days and hours you can offer. We reply with two or three matched maths tutors and their fees, and you pick one for the free demo. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after our team has reviewed the ID (see how the ID check works). If no suitable tutor can reach you at that hour, we suggest an online or mixed plan instead.

NXTutors works from Sector 66, Gurugram, and teaches online across India. The national maths home tutor page explains matching in other cities, and our science and physics pages for the city cover the neighbouring subjects. Maths teachers who live in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and want students nearby can see open requests on the tuition jobs page for the city.

What should I write when asking for a maths shortlist in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar?

When asking for a maths shortlist in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, write the class, the full course name, any entrance test and your child's answer language. Add your locality with a landmark and free hours. We reply with two or three matched maths tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free.

Why does SSC maths in Aurangabad need separate weekly plans for Part I and Part II?

SSC maths in Aurangabad needs separate weekly plans because the State Board examines Mathematics (code 71) as Part I and Part II, two 40-mark papers. Another 20 marks are assessed in school. A strong algebra score cannot rescue weak geometry, so a tutor rotates the two parts on fixed days rather than following the school timetable.

How is the HSC Mathematics and Statistics paper laid out for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar junior-college students?

For Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar junior-college students, the HSC Mathematics and Statistics paper (code 40) carries 80 marks in four sections. Section A has two-mark MCQs and one-mark answers; B, C and D ask for eight of twelve, eight of twelve and five of eight. Log tables are allowed, calculators are not, and only the first MCQ attempt counts.

Which CBSE Class 10 maths units should an Aurangabad student plan around first?

An Aurangabad CBSE Class 10 student should plan around algebra first, worth 20 of the 80 board marks in 2026-27. Geometry carries 15, trigonometry 12, statistics and probability 11 and mensuration 10, with real numbers and coordinate geometry at 6 each. Calculators are not allowed, and pi is 22/7 unless stated otherwise.

Should a Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar student pick CBSE Standard or Basic maths in Class 10?

A Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar student should pick CBSE Standard maths in Class 10 if maths in Class 11 is likely. Basic covers the same chapters but leans more on recall. Since 2026, Class 10 students sit one compulsory main exam and may take an optional second to improve up to three subjects, with dates for CBSE to announce.

Can one Aurangabad maths tutor cover the board paper and JEE Main or MHT-CET together?

One Aurangabad maths tutor can cover a board paper and JEE Main or MHT-CET if the week is divided on purpose. One session ends in a long, fully written answer, the other is timed objective work with every error noted. Take MHT-CET's pattern only from cetcell.mahacet.org, and with coaching, the tutor tackles unsolved batch problems.

Can I find an ISC, IB or IGCSE maths tutor in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar?

Yes, though ISC, IB and IGCSE maths teachers are fewer in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, so name the course in your first message. ISC sets one 80-mark paper of seven compulsory units for 2027 and 2028, with calculus worth 35. IB needs a tutor who knows AA or AI at your level, and an online specialist is a sound fallback.

What should we arrange for a maths tutor visiting CIDCO or HUDCO in Aurangabad?

For a maths tutor visiting CIDCO in Aurangabad, send the sector number from N-1 to N-15 and the house or building name, as many lanes look alike. In HUDCO, give the part number from H-1 to H-20, the house number and one landmark. Keep clear of the weekday evening rush on Jalna Road.

Does home or online maths tuition suit students in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar better?

Home maths tuition in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar suits younger children most, because a tutor at the same table catches a slip in a proof or sign immediately. Online makes sense when the right specialist lives across the city, junior college finishes late, or the course is ISC or IB. One home and one online lesson a week is another option.

What signs of a good maths tutor should parents in Aurangabad watch for at the demo?

At a maths demo in Aurangabad, parents should watch for a tutor who checks what the child can already do before explaining anything new. Good signs include labelling each mistake, working in the examiner's format, a short task the child solves alone, and a plan for the next lessons you can repeat back.
