Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Science in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) looks the same in Class 6 on every board: observe, record, explain. By Class 10 it has split into physics, chemistry and biology, and the three boards families here follow test it very differently. The State Board examines Science and Technology as two SSC papers answered on activity sheets. CBSE sets one NCERT-based board paper. ICSE turns it into three separate papers. A science tutor's first task, then, is to be clear about the destination and to work from the very book your child carries to school. NXTutors sends two or three science tutors who fit the board and your part of the city, lists what each charges up front, and the opening lesson is a free demo.
The CBSE and ICSE advice on this page is written by Aaditya Kashyap. Before a tutor is chosen, it helps to see the three routes together:
| Board | How the subject is examined | Marks inside school | What the tutor teaches from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Maharashtra State Board (SSC) | Science and Technology as two 40-mark papers, written as activity sheets | 20, for experiments, the journal and projects | The prescribed state textbook and the board's sample papers |
| CBSE | One 80-mark board paper covering physics, chemistry and biology | 20, shared equally by four components | NCERT and the CBSE sample paper |
| ICSE (CISCE) | A separate paper for each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology | Internal assessment in each of the three | The school's chosen books within the CISCE syllabus, and CISCE specimen papers |
Until the end of Class 10 a single science tutor is normally enough, and it has an advantage: the same person can see when a lost physics mark is really an arithmetic problem rather than a gap in the idea. The national science home tutor page explains how we match for the subject as a whole.
In Standards IX and X the State Board names the subject Science and Technology (code 72). The scheme sets it as Paper 1 and Paper 2, 40 marks apiece, written on different days on activity sheets, while the school awards a further 20 for practical work, the journal and projects. Rather than asking for definitions alone, an activity sheet makes a student use what they know: complete a table, account for an observation, draw and label, or work out what happens in an unfamiliar setting.
| Kind of task | Weekly practice with the tutor |
|---|---|
| Complete a table or a flow chart | Two or three blank tables from the current chapter, filled from memory and then checked against the book |
| Explain why something happens | Answers that start with the reason, then give the evidence, in two or three plain sentences |
| Draw and label | Figures from the textbook redrawn without looking, with every label spelled correctly |
| Apply an idea to a new situation | One unfamiliar example per lesson, talked through aloud before it is written down |
Because the two papers stand apart, keep both on one weekly progress chart; a strong first paper cannot make up for a weak second one. Look at the journal regularly too, since it feeds the internal 20. The board recognises both Marathi-medium and English-medium schools, so terms should be taught in the language of your child's textbook. Check mahahsscboard.in for the current scheme, and see our Maharashtra Board tutor page for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for the other State Board subjects.
The middle-school years are where habits form. Children meet new ideas through activities, whether in NCERT's Curiosity series, the state textbook or a book the school has chosen, and the risk is that they remember the activity but cannot say what it showed. A tutor at this stage should:
Parents can check progress simply: ask your child to teach you the last activity without the book open. For more on these years, see the Class 6 science tutor page.
Class 9 brings motion, the make-up of matter and the living cell together, often within one term, and State Board students meet the two-paper Science and Technology scheme for the first time in Standard IX. CBSE has moved Class 9 to Exploration, NCERT's new textbook. The yearly exam is still 80 marks with 20 internal, divided into four units: matter and how it behaves, 27; the living world, 25; motion, force, work and sound, 23; Earth as a system, 5. Hand-me-down notes from an older sibling were written for the old book, so plans should start from the new chapter list, and every gap should be closed before the next chapter begins. More is on our Class 9 science tutor page.
Eighty marks come from the board paper. The other 20 are given in school, five each for periodic tests, multiple assessment, the portfolio and subject enrichment through practicals. Of the 80, biology accounts for 30, with 25 each for chemistry and physics. By unit, Chemical Substances and the World of Living carry 25 each, Effects of Current 13, Natural Phenomena 12 and Our Environment 5.
| Question type | Number and marks | What to practise |
|---|---|---|
| One-mark items, multiple-choice or assertion–reason | 20 × 1 | Reading every option and the reason before choosing |
| Short answers | 6 × 2 | Two exact points, with a labelled sketch where it helps |
| Medium answers | 7 × 3 | Balanced equations and numericals with units on each line |
| Case- or source-based questions | 3 × 4 | Reading a short passage or data set and answering from it |
| Long answers | 3 × 5 | Full explanations with a diagram, set out in order |
By skill, 50% of the paper checks knowledge and understanding, 30% asks for application, and 20% for analysis and evaluation. Three topics are kept off the 2026-27 board paper and tested in school instead: how the electric motor, electromagnetic induction and the generator work; evolution; and how elements are arranged in the periodic table. Teach them properly anyway, because they carry internal marks and reappear in Class 11. Board questions also lean on the 14 experiments named in the curriculum, so revision should include the practical file. A main exam is compulsory for all Class 10 students, and those eligible can try a second, optional exam to raise their marks in as many as three subjects; CBSE announces the dates. The CBSE Class 10 science notes, the board-year planner and the Class 10 science tutor page go further.
CISCE sets ICSE Class 10 science as three papers, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and each has an internal component of its own. Because each school selects its books inside the CISCE syllabus, the tutor's material should be your child's own textbooks plus CISCE specimen papers, not an NCERT scheme of work. ICSE examiners reward precise definitions and numericals carried through to a final answer with its unit. Help with a single paper, commonly from Class 9, is a perfectly reasonable request. Fewer local teachers specialise in ICSE science, so start looking in good time; including online tutors gives you a much wider field.
Science lessons for these classes usually sit between school and dinner, so the tutor's trip needs to be short and predictable. Browse every area on the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar page.
Homes along Jalna Road range from flats just behind the showrooms to older houses; a flat on the near side of the road is far easier to reach than one that needs a U-turn across the evening traffic, so tell the tutor which side you are on. In Chikalthana, at the city's eastern edge, newer apartment complexes keep a gate register, and office and shift-change hours load the same road. In HUDCO, mostly independent houses in numbered parts, the tutor comes straight to the door once given the part number and a landmark.
Samarth Nagar is close to the Central Bus Stand, so tutors can come by two-wheeler, auto or city bus; the roads around the bus stand and the markets fill in the evening. Begumpura is one of the older suburbs, with family houses on narrow lanes that look alike and small apartment buildings; a landmark and the house name matter, and a two-wheeler parks most easily.
Garkheda is a large, mostly residential area of flats and older colony houses around Sutgirni Chowk. Many buildings have a watchman who notes visitors, so send the building name and flat number in advance. Fix a slot that suits the family's routine before the chowks get busy.
The CIDCO and Jalna Road and Old City and Central zone pages add landmarks and quieter hours.
Whatever the board, careful habits win marks in science. After the free demo and the first weeks, check that these are becoming automatic:
In the demo itself, ask the tutor to teach the chapter your child is on now and notice whether these habits appear unprompted. The demo class checklist for parents lists more. Should the first tutor not suit, we book a demo with another name from your list, and changing later costs nothing.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees. In this band of classes, Class 9 and 10 board preparation is usually priced above help for Classes 6 to 8, and the journey to your home and how many lessons you take each week also play a part. Every fee is on the shortlist before the demo; the home tuition fees article for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar suggests what to ask.
Send us your child's class and board, whichever of physics, chemistry or biology feels weakest, the textbook's language, your locality with a landmark, and the after-school times you can offer. You get two or three science tutors back, each with a fee, and you decide whom to meet for the free demo. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after our team has reviewed the ID (what the check involves). When no suitable tutor can travel at your chosen time, we put forward an online plan or one that mixes home and online lessons. NXTutors has its office in Sector 66, Gurugram, and its online lessons reach students all over India.
Students moving into Class 11 can continue with our physics, chemistry and biology pages for the city, and the maths home tutor page covers the other core subject. The home tuition guide for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar describes every zone. If you teach science and live in the city, current family requests close to you are listed on the tuition jobs page.
To start with a Classes 6 to 10 science tutor in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, send the class, board, weakest strand, textbook language, locality with a landmark and after-school times. We shortlist two or three matched science tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free.

An Aurangabad tutor should prepare an SSC child for Science and Technology by practising tables, reasons, labelled figures and unfamiliar situations every week. The subject (code 72) is two 40-mark papers on activity sheets, plus 20 school marks for practicals, the journal and projects. Track both papers on one chart, since a strong Paper 1 cannot cover Paper 2.
One science tutor is normally enough in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar until the end of Class 10, across physics, chemistry and biology. The same person can see when a lost physics mark is really an arithmetic problem rather than a gap in the idea, and can balance the three strands across the week.
Yes, an Aurangabad science tutor can teach in Marathi if you ask, since the State Board recognises both Marathi-medium and English-medium schools. Technical terms should follow the language of your child's own textbook. Mention the medium in your request, because it changes which tutors we put on the shortlist.
A Sambhajinagar CBSE tutor should still teach evolution and the electric motor because, for 2026-27, they leave the Class 10 board paper but are tested in school. The same applies to electromagnetic induction, the generator and the periodic table arrangement. They carry internal marks and reappear in Class 11.
An older sibling's Class 9 science notes will not fit an Aurangabad CBSE child now, because CBSE has moved Class 9 to NCERT's new book, Exploration. The exam stays 80 marks with 20 internal: matter 27, the living world 25, motion, force, work and sound 23, and Earth as a system 5.
Yes, an ICSE family in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar can ask for help in just one of Physics, Chemistry or Biology, commonly from Class 9. Each paper has its own internal component, and the tutor should use your child's textbooks plus CISCE specimen papers. Fewer local teachers specialise in ICSE science, so including online tutors widens the field.
A Garkheda or Chikalthana family in Aurangabad should choose online science when no suitable tutor can make the short, predictable trip between school and dinner. Help a home tutor by sending the building and flat for the watchman or gate register. If travel still fails, we suggest an online plan or a home and online mix.
After the free demo and first weeks, an Aurangabad parent should see careful science habits becoming automatic, whatever the board. Look for ruled ray diagrams with arrows, standard circuit symbols, neatly labelled biology figures and balanced equations. Observation tables should carry units and a one-line conclusion. For Classes 6 to 8, ask your child to teach you the last activity without the book.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
