Physics home tutor in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad): the person who reads your child's own working

A Class 11 or 12 student in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) usually hears physics from more than one teacher. The junior college or school teaches to the board syllabus, a JEE, NEET or MHT-CET batch moves at whatever speed suits its timetable, and the Standard XII board exam keeps demanding derivations, ray diagrams and a practical record that the batch seldom has room for. What is often missing is someone who sits beside the student, reads the actual working line by line, and finds the step that keeps going wrong. That is the job of a home physics tutor. NXTutors proposes two or three physics tutors familiar with your child's exam who can travel to your area at a time that suits; you see what each charges before meeting anyone, and your first session is a free demo.

Which exam should set the aim for physics tuition?

The chapters overlap between exams, but the scoring does not. Settle the main aim with the tutor before any homework is set, then let the other exams share what time is left.

  • HSC, Maharashtra State Board. A board paper on the state's own physics textbook, in the format the board publishes on mahahsscboard.in.
  • CBSE Class 12 (042). Theory out of 70, with all 33 questions compulsory and no calculator, plus 30 practical marks.
  • JEE Main. Under the 2026 pattern, Paper 1 gave physics a third of its 75 questions: 25, including 5 with a numerical answer, scored +4 when right and −1 when wrong.
  • NEET (UG). The 2026 paper, written with pen on an answer sheet, gave physics 45 of the 180 questions, so 180 of the 720 marks, with the same +4 and −1 scoring.
  • MHT-CET. Conducted by Maharashtra's State CET Cell; take its syllabus and pattern from cetcell.mahacet.org.

In 2026 only the first 2,50,000 JEE Main candidates by rank could sit JEE Advanced. Each entrance test publishes its own syllabus, which may still include a chapter the board no longer examines, so look at the latest information bulletin before dropping a topic. For priorities, read the topic-wise JEE physics plan and our list of high-yield NEET physics chapters.

Choosing a physics tutor for an HSC student

On the State Board, the last two school years are normally spent at a junior college, ending in the HSC that the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education conducts. Its physics syllabus, textbook and marking scheme sit on mahahsscboard.in and are updated now and then, so this page does not describe the paper itself; the official site is where to read it. A family can still judge fit with four questions:

Four questions to put to a physics tutor for an HSC student in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad)
AskA good answer sounds like
What will we practise from?Questions from the prescribed state book and from sample papers the board has released
How will you handle an entrance test as well?A clear view of which chapters carry over to MHT-CET or JEE and which need extra depth
What about the journal?Regular checks of each entry, and practice explaining every experiment aloud
My child studied in Marathi until Standard X. Will that matter?A plan to carry each technical word across from Marathi to English while Standard XI is still new

What should a home tutor do that coaching does not?

A tutor who repeats the batch lecture adds nothing. The useful work is the part a crowded room cannot do:

  1. Clear the leftovers. Problems from the coaching sheet that the student could not finish are solved together until the method belongs to the student.
  2. Protect the board paper. Derivations, ray diagrams and the practical record get a regular written slot, even in a heavy entrance year.
  3. Read each mock properly. Every lost mark is sorted as a concept gap, a careless slip or a question that should have been skipped, and next week's plan comes from that list.

Our comparisons of JEE coaching and a home tutor and the NEET equivalent go further, and the JEE and NEET home tutor pages for the city describe matching for each exam.

Where are the 70 theory marks in CBSE Class 12 physics?

CBSE has not changed the design for the 2026-27 sample paper. Its 33 questions run from Section A, with 12 multiple-choice and 4 assertion–reason items at one mark each, through five 2-mark questions in B, seven 3-mark questions in C and two 4-mark case studies in D, to three 5-mark long answers in E. Recall earns only about 38% of the marks; the constants are printed on the paper, and no calculator may be used. The marks are grouped by chapter block as follows:

Theory marks by block in the 2026-27 CBSE physics paper, and where home tuition time goes
BlockMarksUse of tuition time
Electricity and magnetism, from electrostatics to alternating current33Nearly half the theory marks; field and circuit problems with every direction drawn on the figure
Light and optics, plus electromagnetic waves18Ray diagrams drawn to the sign convention and checked one ray at a time
Atoms, nuclei and the dual nature of radiation and matter12Brief calculations in which the powers of ten are tracked carefully
Semiconductor electronics7Current material only; transistors and logic gates have left the syllabus

There is a single main board exam in Class 12; CBSE announces its dates. Recurring derivations are gathered in our strategies for Class 12 physics, and a month-by-month approach is on the Class 12 physics tutor page.

How can a tutor help with the 30 practical marks without a lab?

CBSE Class 12 physics practical: the components and what can be rehearsed at home
ComponentMarksHome rehearsal
Two experiments, one from each section14 (7 each)Aim, circuit or ray figure, and the observation table set out before the lab day
Practical record5A minimum of eight experiments and six activities, split evenly across the two sections, reviewed one entry at a time
Activity3Its purpose and its result put into two sentences
Investigatory project3A topic the student can genuinely manage, picked early in the year
Viva5Practice questions: the meaning of a graph's gradient, the reason for repeated readings, the origin of errors

Handling the instruments happens only in the school laboratory; reasoning about them can happen at a dining table. An HSC student can follow this exact pattern with the journal and the board's practical exam.

What should every physics solution look like?

Ask the tutor to hold the student to one layout until it becomes automatic:

  1. a figure with directions and known quantities marked;
  2. the principle or law named in words;
  3. substitution with units written on every line;
  4. a last look at whether the answer's sign and magnitude are believable.

Student and tutor should also share one mistakes notebook. Every entry records the problem, the original attempt untouched, a single line naming the error, and a clean redo done some days afterwards from memory. Take that notebook, or a couple of recent coaching tests, to the free demo; within the session a strong tutor ought to locate the faulty step instead of jumping to a new topic.

Will an evening physics slot hold in your locality?

Class 11 and 12 students often return from college or coaching after dark, so physics lands in the evening, exactly when Jalna Road and the central market roads are fullest. The tutor's own route decides whether a weekly slot holds. Tutors are listed area by area on the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar page.

Evening physics lessons in six localities of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad)
LocalityWhat the tutor findsHow to keep the slot
CIDCOA numbered neighbourhood of plotted houses and apartment blocks; the CIDCO bus stand is a main bus hubGive the sector and building; an early-evening hour stays clear of Jalna Road's rush
ChikalthanaNewer apartment complexes with a gate, beside offices and workshops on the eastern edgeLeave the tutor's name at the gate; avoid office and shift-change times on Jalna Road
Jalna RoadFlats and older houses just off the city's main road, reachable by auto or city busName the nearest chowk and say which side of the road you live on
AurangpuraA busy central area near Nirala Bazar with narrow older lanesA tutor on a two-wheeler; a clear chowk as the landmark
Samarth NagarFamily houses and apartment buildings close to the Central Bus StandShare the building name and floor; fix a slot that misses the market rush
UlkanagariFlats and builder floors in the south-centre; some older buildings have no liftTell the tutor the floor and where to leave a two-wheeler

On a day when classes run late, hold that week's lesson online with your usual tutor instead of starting a late trip across town. The CIDCO and Jalna Road zone page and the home tuition guide for the city add more local detail.

International and CISCE physics, and the right year to start

IB Diploma
Five themes, labelled A to E, make up today's course; options and Paper 3 are gone. The written papers decide 80% of the final grade, and the internal investigation, which the student must design personally, decides 20%. SL and HL are compared in our IB physics guide.
ISC
Alongside the theory paper, CISCE marks practical work and a project, and examiners look for answers that reason rather than merely state. Confirm the tutor is working from the syllabus published for your child's exam year.
Cambridge IGCSE
Entered at Core or Extended level. Anyone switching to CBSE or the State Board for Class 11 should expect to strengthen vectors and graph work first.

Starting in Class 11 tends to cost less effort overall: vectors and graphs underpin mechanics and keep returning in Class 12. The Class 11 physics tutor page and our guide to choosing a stream say more.

How much does a physics home tutor charge here?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Rates are personal to each tutor and usually reflect the exam being prepared for, how long the tutor has taught it, the evening journey to your home and how many lessons you book weekly. An online lesson with that same tutor may carry a different price. Every fee is visible before the demo, and the home tuition fees article for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar lists questions to ask.

What should a physics request include?

Tell us the class, the course (HSC, CBSE, ISC, IB or IGCSE), whether JEE, NEET or MHT-CET is the bigger goal, which days college and coaching take up, your locality plus a landmark, and which evenings remain open. We reply with two or three physics tutors and what each charges, and you pick one to meet at the free demo. If that first match does not suit, a second demo follows with another tutor, and any later switch costs nothing. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after our team has reviewed the ID (read about it). NXTutors is based in Sector 66, Gurugram, and also teaches online across India.

Our national physics home tutor page explains matching elsewhere, and the maths and chemistry pages for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar cover the subjects that sit beside physics. Physics teachers in the city who want students close by can find current requests on the tuition jobs page.

Physics Home Tutor in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad): common questions

What does a physics home tutor in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) cost?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Entrance-focused physics usually sits in the upper part, and you see each fee first.

Do you have physics tutors for HSC students at junior college?

Yes. We look for tutors who work from the State Board textbook and sample papers, keep an eye on the practical journal, and know which chapters need more depth if MHT-CET or JEE follows. The board publishes its current scheme on mahahsscboard.in, which should be checked each year.

My child already attends coaching. Why add a home tutor?

A home tutor should do what a batch cannot: finish the problems left over from the coaching sheet, keep derivations and the practical record moving for the board paper, and go through each mock so every lost mark is understood. Repeating the coaching lecture would waste the session.

How are the CBSE Class 12 physics theory marks divided?

The 70 theory marks fall into four blocks: electricity and magnetism 33, optics with electromagnetic waves 18, dual nature with atoms and nuclei 12, and semiconductor electronics 7. The paper has 33 compulsory questions in five sections, with constants supplied and no calculator allowed. Electricity and magnetism therefore deserves the most regular practice.

Can a tutor help with practical marks if there is no lab at home?

Yes. CBSE gives 30 marks to two experiments, the record, an activity, a project and the viva. At home a tutor can check every record entry, rehearse observation tables and sources of error, and run a mock viva, while the apparatus work stays in the school lab.

How is physics weighted in JEE Main and NEET?

In the 2026 patterns, physics was 25 of the 75 questions in JEE Main Paper 1, five of them numerical-answer, and 45 of the 180 questions in NEET (UG). Both marked +4 for a correct answer and −1 for a wrong one. NTA confirms each year's pattern afresh.

What if the evening traffic makes a home slot unreliable?

Move that evening online with the same tutor instead of asking anyone to cross the city late. A week of one home lesson and one online lesson suits many students too, and it leaves room for late college or coaching days without losing the weekly lesson.
