Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Maths help in Nanded rarely means the same thing in two homes. In one flat a Standard IX child has just learnt that SSC maths arrives as two separate papers. Next door, a Standard XII student is juggling the HSC Mathematics and Statistics paper with an engineering entrance test. A cousin in a CBSE school needs someone who knows that board's step marking. Add schools that teach in Marathi, English, Urdu or a semi-English mix, and the real task is finding a tutor who fits all of it. Send NXTutors the class, the exact course, the school medium and your locality. NXTutors then suggests two or three maths tutors who fit on each of those points; you see every fee before any meeting, and lesson one is a free demo.
Abhinandan Tiwary wrote the parts on Class 10 maths for CBSE and ICSE, and Ajay Vatsyayan covered ISC, IB and IGCSE; State Board details come from the board's own published schemes. The last column gives a first question that shows quickly whether a tutor knows the course.
| Course | Set by | Shape of the exam | Ask the tutor |
|---|---|---|---|
| SSC Mathematics (71), Standards IX–X | Maharashtra State Board, through its Latur division for Nanded | Two papers of 40 marks each, and 20 internal marks | How do you stop one part falling behind the other? |
| HSC Mathematics & Statistics (40), Arts and Science | Maharashtra State Board | One 80-mark paper with four sections and built-in choice | Which chapters would you treat as non-negotiable? |
| HSC Maths & Stat. (88), Commerce | Maharashtra State Board | A separate subject code; read its own scheme | Have you taught the Commerce paper, not only the Science one? |
| CBSE Class 10 (Basic or Standard) | CBSE | 80 on the board paper, 20 from school | Which level suits a child who may take maths in Class 11? |
| ICSE, ISC | CISCE | An 80-mark written paper, 20 internal or project marks | Which exam year's specification are you working from? |
| IB Diploma, Cambridge IGCSE | IB, Cambridge | IB: timed papers and an exploration. IGCSE: Core or Extended tier | Is this course and level something you teach now? |
MSBSHSE, the state's board for secondary and higher secondary education, holds the SSC after Standard X and the HSC after Standard XII. Its own results statistics place Nanded in the Latur division, with Latur and Dharashiv districts. Under the board's Standard IX–X scheme, Mathematics carries code 71 and is split in two, and each half is examined as a full 40-mark paper. School-based work adds 20 marks. A good score in one paper therefore cannot hide a weak one.
What this means for weekly tuition:
Patterns are revised now and then, so check the latest version on mahahsscboard.in before you commit to a plan for the year. Other SSC and HSC subjects are covered on our Maharashtra Board home tutor in Nanded page.
After SSC, most State Board students in Nanded move to a junior college for the two HSC years. For the Arts and Science paper (code 40), the board publishes marks for every Standard XII chapter. Counting the options built into the paper, Part I and Part II offer 56 marks apiece, 112 together. Here they are, heaviest first:
| Chapter | Part | Marks | When to begin |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vectors | I | 12 | Standard XI groundwork, so Standard XII starts fast |
| Indefinite Integration | II | 10 | As soon as differentiation feels easy |
| Trigonometric Functions; Line and Plane | I | 10 each | Early in Standard XII, then weekly |
| Differentiation; Applications of Derivatives | II | 9 each | The first calculus months |
| Mathematical Logic | I | 8 | Any term; quick to secure |
| Differential Equations | II | 8 | Once both kinds of integration are firm |
| Matrices; Pair of Straight Lines | I | 6 each | Short blocks between the big chapters |
| Definite Integration | II | 6 | Paired with its application chapter |
| Probability Distributions; Binomial Distribution | II | 5 each | Late Standard XII, with past questions |
| Linear Programming | I | 4 | A single focused week |
| Application of Definite Integration | II | 4 | Straight after definite integration |
Add up the six calculus chapters and they come to 46 of the 112, which is why calculus deserves a slot every week from Standard XI. The scheme also says how questions are pitched. Knowledge questions make up 30%, understanding 42%, and application with skill the last 28%. By difficulty, 30% are easy, 50% average and 20% difficult, and theory questions are capped at 15%. In short, the paper rewards solving many problems far more than learning proofs by heart.
The written paper is worth 80 marks and comes in four sections. Each one asks for a slightly different habit:
Log tables are permitted, calculators are not, and graph paper is not needed, though a rough sketch is expected where a question calls for one. That makes clean arithmetic a year-long habit. The choice inside the paper also tempts students to drop entire chapters; a sensible tutor agrees with the student, early, which topics are genuinely optional and which are not.
Yes. The board's HSC subject list shows two separate maths subjects: code 40, Mathematics and Statistics for Arts and Science, and code 88, Maths and Statistics for Commerce. The chapter weights above belong to code 40 only. A Commerce student in Nanded should ask the junior college which code they are entered for, then read that subject's own scheme on mahahsscboard.in. When you ask us for a tutor, write "Commerce maths" in the request. A tutor who has taught only the Science paper may still be strong, but should say so plainly, and the demo is the place to check.
In 2026-27 CBSE spreads its 80 board marks across 14 NCERT chapters, keeping last session's design. The largest share, 20, goes to algebra. Geometry follows on 15 and trigonometry on 12; statistics with probability takes 11, mensuration 10, and real numbers and coordinate geometry 6 apiece. Let those numbers set the timetable, so quadratic equations and progressions get far more hours than the lightest chapters.
No calculator is permitted. Basic shares Standard's chapter list but tests more recall and less depth, so anyone keeping Class 11 maths open should take Standard. There is also an optional second Class 10 sitting where up to three subjects, maths among them, can be improved; CBSE announces when it runs. For more, see the Class 10 maths tutor page, our board-year planner, and our article on how to prepare for Class 10 maths.
Plenty of Standard XII students in Nanded write the board paper and one or two entrance tests within the same few months. MHT-CET, Maharashtra's entrance test for professional courses, belongs to the State CET Cell, and the Cell's own site, cetcell.mahacet.org, is the only place to read its syllabus and pattern. NTA sets JEE Main. The 2026 Paper 1 placed 25 maths questions inside a 75-question, 300-mark paper: 20 had four options and 5 asked for a numerical value. A correct response earned four marks and a wrong one cost a mark. NTA can change this, so read the newest bulletin before planning.
A split week keeps both sides alive: one session ends with a full board-style answer marked line by line, and another is a timed objective set with every wrong answer solved again later. If your child already attends coaching classes, the home tutor takes the unsolved problems and the written board answers, not a repeat lecture. Tutors for these courses are fewer in Nanded than State Board tutors. Say which course it is in your first message; if no specialist lives within reach, an online tutor is the usual answer.
Tutors for every locality are listed on our Nanded page.
| Locality | What it is like | Giving the address | Agree first |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vazirabad | The busy centre of Old Nanded, with flats above shops along Vazirabad Road | Building name, floor and the shop at ground level | A slot that avoids the late-afternoon crowd on the road |
| Shivaji Nagar | Lanes of family homes near the old centre | Write "Shivaji Nagar, Nanded", plus lane and a nearby chowk | An hour between the school bus and dinner that holds all term |
| Anand Nagar | An east-central colony north of Hingoli Gate, flats among older homes | Building, wing and flat number | How coaching hours and the home slot will avoid each other |
| Vasant Nagar | Family houses and newer flats beside Anand Nagar and Harsh Nagar | Lane or building and a familiar shop | Extra weekend revision during the SSC year |
| Taroda | The northern side, in two parts, Taroda Bk and Taroda Kh | Always say which part, with the colony and a map pin | How gaps will be filled if your child changed board |
| Chaitanya Nagar | A northern colony near Taroda and Canal Road, houses and flats | Lane, house number and a known corner | Whether the tutor teaches the Commerce maths paper |
The zone pages for Vazirabad and Shivaji Nagar, Anand Nagar and Vasant Nagar and Taroda and North-West Nanded add local tips. For the whole city, including New Nanded south of the Godavari, read the Nanded home tuition guide.
It does. Marathi, Urdu and Hindi are all spoken at home in Nanded, and schools teach in Marathi, English, Urdu or a semi-English mix, where maths and science may be taught in English while other subjects stay in Marathi. A child can understand a method perfectly in one language and still lose marks writing it in another. Let the tutor unpick a hard step in whichever language your child reasons in, then rehearse it with the textbook's own terms, because the exam answer must be written in the paper's language. Mention both the home language and the school medium in your request, and in the demo watch whether the tutor writes the textbook's words on the page.
Hand the tutor this week's school chapter and the latest marked test, and ask for an ordinary lesson on it. Four signs are worth watching for:
Not convinced after the demo? Say so, and a second shortlisted tutor comes for one; a later change of tutor is also free. For a fuller list, read the demo class checklist for parents, and home tutor or online tutor helps if a mixed plan suits better.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, which usually depends on the course, how recently they taught it, how far they travel to your part of Nanded and how many sessions a week you need. Fees are on the shortlist before any demo, and our Nanded home tuition fees guide suggests what to ask each tutor.
A good request has six parts: class; course (SSC, HSC code 40 or 88, CBSE Standard and so on); any entrance test in view; school medium and home language; locality and landmark, saying whether you are in Old or New Nanded; and the free days and times. You receive two or three maths tutors with fees, pick one, and the first lesson is a free demo. When no good match can reach you at your hour, we suggest online lessons or a home-and-online mix, as set out on our online tutors for Nanded page. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works). Our office is in Sector 66, Gurugram, and online lessons reach all of India. The national maths home tutor page covers other cities; elsewhere in Maharashtra, see Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Solapur or maths tutors in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Nanded's own science and physics pages deal with neighbouring subjects.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each Nanded maths tutor sets their own fee, and you see it before the demo. Ask which paper they taught most recently.
You send the class, the exact course, any entrance test, the school medium, your locality and your free hours. NXTutors replies with two or three maths tutors who match those details, each with the fee shown. The first class is a free demo, and if the tutor is not right you can switch later at no cost.
The Maharashtra State Board examines SSC Mathematics as two separate 40-mark papers, with 20 more marks from school-based work. Because each part is marked on its own, a strong score in one cannot cover a weak one. A Nanded tutor should keep a fixed weekly day for each part from Standard IX.
Nanded comes under the Latur division of the Maharashtra State Board, according to the board's own results statistics. Latur and Dharashiv are the other districts in that division. The exams, syllabus and evaluation schemes are the same across the state, so families should still read the current scheme on mahahsscboard.in.
Calculus carries 46 of the 112 marks, options included, in the HSC Mathematics and Statistics paper for Arts and Science. That total comes from six chapters, led by Indefinite Integration with 10. Since it is the largest block, a Nanded tutor should give calculus a slot every week from Standard XI onwards.
No, the board lists Commerce maths separately, as Maths and Statistics (Commerce) with code 88. Code 40 is the Arts and Science paper. Check with the junior college which code your child is entered for, read that scheme on mahahsscboard.in, and write "Commerce maths" when you request a tutor.
Calculators are not allowed in the HSC Mathematics and Statistics paper, but log tables are. Only the first attempt at each multiple-choice item is marked, so the option letter must be written once and clearly. A Nanded tutor should build steady written arithmetic through both junior college years, not just before the exam.
Yes, one tutor can handle both if the week is split on purpose. One session ends with a full board-style answer marked line by line, and another runs timed objective questions with every error logged. Read MHT-CET details only on cetcell.mahacet.org, and JEE Main details in the current NTA bulletin.
A semi-English medium student in Nanded usually learns maths in English while other subjects stay in Marathi. The tutor can explain a hard step in Marathi, Urdu or Hindi first, then practise it in the textbook's English terms. Tell us both the home language and the school medium so we can match well.
A Taroda family should always say Taroda Bk or Taroda Kh, then add the colony and a map pin. In Vazirabad, give the building name, the floor and the shop at ground level, and choose a slot that avoids the late-afternoon crowd on Vazirabad Road so the tutor arrives on time.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
