Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

A senior physics student in Nanded usually serves several masters. The junior college or school runs the board course. An entrance test, whether MHT-CET, JEE Main or NEET, sets a second pace, and a coaching class may set a third. Lectures can cover the chapters. What tends to be missing is one patient adult who reads the student's own attempt, finds the exact line where the reasoning slipped, and checks a week later that the slip has not come back. That is the job of a home physics tutor. Share your child's board, target exam and neighbourhood, and NXTutors proposes two or three physics tutors to match, fees listed up front, with an opening lesson that is a free demo.
Most chapters appear in every one of these papers, but each paper rewards them differently. Settle early which one gets priority this term, since homework follows from it.
| Paper | Physics content | Marking | Practice emphasis |
|---|---|---|---|
| HSC Physics (54), State Board | Theory, plus a 30-mark practical with a certified journal | Theory marks as given in the board's latest scheme | Complete written answers and an up-to-date journal |
| CBSE Class 12 Physics (042) | A 70-mark theory paper of 33 compulsory questions, and a 30-mark practical | Physical constants printed on the paper; calculators not allowed | Derivations, labelled figures and the case questions |
| JEE Main (as set in 2026) | 25 physics questions, 5 of them needing a numerical value | +4 for a right answer, −1 for a wrong one | Multi-step problems, each mistake reworked |
| NEET (UG) (as set in 2026) | 45 of the 180 pen-and-paper questions | The same +4 and −1 rule, out of 720 | Exact NCERT recall and careful skipping |
| MHT-CET | Conducted by the State CET Cell | Pattern published only by the Cell, at cetcell.mahacet.org | Speed work after the board chapters feel solid |
A chapter removed from a board course may still be in an entrance syllabus, so check NTA's current bulletin on nta.ac.in before dropping any topic. Matching for entrance students is described on our Nanded JEE and NEET pages; chapter priorities are on the JEE physics tutor page.
The State Board lists Physics as HSC subject 54, and in Nanded it is normally taken at a junior college across the two senior years. The board's Standard XII scheme gives the practical 30 marks, of which 11 are needed to pass, and asks for a certified journal. So the practical is not a side issue: a student can know the theory well and still be caught out by an incomplete journal.
Many students here studied science in Marathi, Urdu or a semi-English class up to Standard X and now meet physics in English, often while also preparing for MHT-CET. Three things to weigh when you choose a tutor:
We do not reproduce the theory marks here; read the current scheme on mahahsscboard.in. For the board's other subjects, see the Maharashtra Board home tutor in Nanded page.
CBSE has not changed the paper's design for 2026-27. The fourteen chapters are grouped into four blocks, and the electricity-and-magnetism block alone is worth nearly half the 70 theory marks:
| Group | Marks | Practice it needs |
|---|---|---|
| Charges and fields through to alternating current (electrostatics, current, magnetism, induction, AC) | 33 | Circuit laws, field-line sketches and units written at every step |
| Electromagnetic waves and optics | 18 | Sign convention and ray tracing until they are automatic |
| Dual nature, atoms and nuclei | 12 | Short numericals and graph reading |
| Semiconductor electronics | 7 | Diodes only; transistors and logic gates are no longer in the course |
Five lettered sections make up the 33 questions. A opens with sixteen one-markers: a dozen multiple-choice and four assertion–reason. B has five worth two marks; C has seven worth three; D has two four-mark case studies; E ends with three five-mark long answers. About 38% of marks are for recall, and there is a single main board exam in Class 12. For derivations that recur year after year, see our Class 12 physics strategies, and for a whole-year plan, the Class 12 physics tutor page.
Yes, quite a lot. CBSE's 30 practical marks break down as 14 for two experiments, 5 for the record, 3 each for an activity and the investigatory project, and 5 for the viva. The record must hold eight or more experiments and six or more activities, half from each section, along with the project report. For HSC students, the board's own scheme governs the 30-mark practical and the certified journal.
Nothing from the lab comes home, but the paperwork and the thinking can. A tutor can check each journal entry, quiz the student on precautions and likely errors, and hold a practice viva: why repeat a reading, and what does the slope of this graph mean?
A good deal, provided the hour is not a second lecture. Three jobs usually slip through a crowded week:
Two of our articles weigh up JEE coaching against a home tutor and the same choice for NEET. Either way, fix the home hour so it never clashes with college or a batch.
A written solution is a better progress report than any score. Every one should show four things: a sketch with axes, rays or directions marked; a line naming the law being used; numbers substituted with their units, line by line; and a final sense check on the answer's sign and size. Alongside, a student can keep an error log: the question, the first attempt as it was, a one-line diagnosis, and a clean retry some days on. Put the log, or a couple of marked tests, in front of the tutor at the free demo. A capable tutor will find the weak step from those pages before starting to teach.
With college and coaching filling the day, many Standard XI and XII lessons happen after dark, and an evening slot only holds if the tutor reaches the door easily. Many people in central Nanded travel by shared rickshaw, so a tutor without a vehicle can still reach most homes there. Compare tutors by locality on our Nanded page.
| Locality | The area | Directions | Tip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vazirabad | Central Old Nanded, shops and flats on the same blocks | Building, floor and the shop below | A later slot once the shutters come down |
| Hyder Bagh | Homes close together on the eastern side of the centre | Both spellings, Hyder Bagh and Haider Bagh, plus the lane | Mention the language your child thinks in |
| Anand Nagar | Flats and older homes north of Hingoli Gate | Building, wing and flat number | Home physics, with an online class for a narrow topic |
| Harsh Nagar | A newer pocket beside Anand Nagar and Vasant Nagar | Say "Harsh Nagar, near Anand Nagar" | Back-to-back slots if a younger child also needs help |
| Chaitanya Nagar | A northern colony near Taroda and Canal Road | Lane, house number and a well-known corner | Name the entrance exam so board and entrance work are planned together |
| Taroda | The northern side, in two parts | Taroda Bk or Taroda Kh, colony and a map pin | Fewer tutors nearby, so mix home and online |
If college runs late one evening, switch that lesson online with the same tutor. The Taroda and North-West Nanded and Anand Nagar and Vasant Nagar zone pages have more local advice.
Start in Standard XI if you can. Mechanics depends on vectors and graphs, and both come back throughout Standard XII. Read the Class 11 physics tutor page and our article on picking a stream after Class 10.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee. When comparing, ask which exam they taught most recently, how late they can come, and whether one session a week could be online. Every fee is on the shortlist before the demo, and our Nanded home tuition fees guide has more questions.
Tell us the class, the board, what matters most this year (board marks, MHT-CET, JEE or NEET), when college or coaching runs, where you live with a landmark, and which evenings are open. A list of two or three physics tutors arrives with fees; choose one for the free demo. A poor fit means a second demo with someone else, and a later change is free. Where nobody suitable can come at the hour you need, we suggest an online or mixed plan. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works). Our office is in Sector 66, Gurugram, and online lessons reach all of India. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each Nanded physics tutor sets their own fee and shows it before the demo. Ask how late in the evening they can come.
You share the class, board, main exam aim, college or coaching timings, locality and free evenings. NXTutors sends two or three physics tutors with their fees, and the first class is a free demo. If the tutor does not suit, another shortlisted tutor gives a demo, and switching later is free.
The State Board's Standard XII Physics scheme gives the practical 30 marks, and a student needs 11 of them to pass. A certified journal is required. Nanded students should write each journal entry soon after the experiment, and a home tutor can check entries and run practice viva questions.
Extra help is often worth it, because the ideas may be clear while the English terms are new. A tutor can explain a concept in Marathi, Urdu or Hindi first, then have the student write definitions and derivations in English. Mention the change of medium when you send your request.
The electricity and magnetism block, from electrostatics to alternating current, carries 33 of the 70 theory marks in 2026-27. Electromagnetic waves and optics bring 18, dual nature, atoms and nuclei 12, and semiconductors 7. Nanded students on CBSE should give the electricity block steady weekly practice.
Yes, a home tutor helps most by doing what the coaching batch cannot. That means reworking the problems the student skipped, keeping board-style written answers in practice, and reading every test to label each lost mark. The home slot should be fixed so it never clashes with coaching or college hours.
A Nanded student should read the MHT-CET pattern only on cetcell.mahacet.org, the site of the State CET Cell that runs the test. Coaching notes and old guides can be out of date. For JEE Main and NEET, use the latest NTA bulletin, since entrance syllabi can keep chapters a board has removed.
Every physics answer should show four steps, starting with a labelled sketch and ending with a sense check. In between come the law or principle used and the substitution with units on each line. A tutor who insists on these four steps every time builds habits that earn marks in both board and entrance papers.
Tutors do teach on the northern side, but fewer may live close by, so many families mix home and online lessons. In Taroda, say Taroda Bk or Taroda Kh and share a map pin. In Chaitanya Nagar, give the lane, house number and a well-known corner nearby.
Standard XI is usually the right time to start, because mechanics depends on vectors and graphs that return throughout Standard XII. Starting early also leaves time for the journal and the practical. A student who begins in Standard XII can still catch up, but should name weak chapters in the first request.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
