Nanded Home Tuition Guide: Vazirabad, Anand Nagar, Taroda and New Nanded
Nanded lies on the Godavari in Maharashtra, and the river gives the city its basic shape. Old Nanded sits on the north bank and New Nanded, which takes in Waghala, on the south bank. For home tuition, its neighbourhoods fall into four groups: the central belt around Vazirabad and Shivaji Nagar; the Anand Nagar colonies in the east; Taroda and the newer colonies to the north and north-west; and New Nanded across the river. All sixteen localities follow, zone by zone.
Reference points for a tutor's first visit
Most tutors in Nanded get about on a scooter or a bike, and many people use shared rickshaws, so a name the whole city knows works better than a postal address. Hazur Sahib Nanded railway station is the main station, close to Vazirabad, and Maltekdi is a second station serving the city. Vazirabad Road and Station Road run through the centre, and the Hazur Sahib gurdwara on the river bank is the usual way to place the old centre. Hingoli Gate, a junction with a flyover and a bus stop of the same name, sits just south of the eastern colonies. Canal Road crosses the north of the city, the Pawadewadi road leads out to the north-western fringe, and the Nanded to Latur highway runs past Vishnupuri in the south-west.
| Zone | Bank of the river | Landmark to name | Typical homes | What slows a first visit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vazirabad and Shivaji Nagar | North (Old Nanded) | Hazur Sahib Nanded station, Vazirabad Road, Station Road | Flats above shops, family homes on residential lanes | Shoppers filling the main road from late afternoon |
| Anand Nagar and Vasant Nagar | North (Old Nanded) | Hingoli Gate junction | Apartment buildings among older family homes | Three colonies whose edges run into one another |
| Taroda and North-West Nanded | North (Old Nanded) | Canal Road, the Pawadewadi road, the Chaitanya Nagar or Taroda Road post office | New colonies and apartment buildings beside older homes | Colony names that phone maps do not show |
| New Nanded and Waghala | South (New Nanded) | The river crossing, the Nanded to Latur highway | Apartment projects and newer colonies | The trip across the river for a tutor from Old Nanded |
Vazirabad and Shivaji Nagar
The busy centre of Old Nanded, on the north bank. Vazirabad Road is its spine, and the municipal corporation office is mapped on Station Road. Tutors reach this zone easily from almost every side; the hard part is the hour, not the distance.
Vazirabad: shops, offices and flats share the same blocks, and many homes are flats above a shopfront. A road name alone is too broad here, so give the building, the floor and the shop at ground level. Because the road fills with shoppers from late afternoon, a class soon after school, or later once the shutters come down, keeps the tutor on time.
Shivaji Nagar: a settled residential part of the centre, with lanes of family homes close to Vazirabad. Many colonies across India share the name, so write "Shivaji Nagar, Nanded" in full. Where both parents work, say plainly that the hour has to fit between the school bus and dinner, and ask for a fixed day kept through the term.
Hyder Bagh: a residential area on the eastern side of the centre, with homes close together along its lanes. Give both spellings, Hyder Bagh and Haider Bagh, with a lane and a corner shop. If your child is moving from Urdu or Marathi medium to English, mention it first; a tutor who explains in the home language and checks answers in the exam language helps most.
Anand Nagar and Vasant Nagar
Three neighbouring colonies in the east-central part of Old Nanded, north of the Hingoli Gate junction, with the airport on Sangvi Road further out on the north-eastern side. Because they share their edges, a tutor living in one can usually teach in the other two.
Anand Nagar: apartment buildings among older family homes. Requests here often come from Class 11 and 12 students preparing for HSC Science along with MHT-CET, JEE Main or NEET. Name the entrance exam in the request and ask how the week will be split between board-style answers and timed objective practice.
Harsh Nagar: a newer residential pocket where apartment buildings have come up beside independent homes. For a primary child, shorter and more frequent lessons usually beat one long weekly session. Give the building name, wing and flat number, and name Anand Nagar or Vasant Nagar as the nearest reference.
Vasant Nagar: family houses and newer flats on the edge of Anand Nagar and Harsh Nagar. Many students here study under the State Board, and the Class 10 year is when outside help counts most. A tutor who starts from a list of weak chapters and ends the year on full SSC practice papers suits that stage.
Taroda and North-West Nanded
The northern and north-western side of the city, where apartment projects and new colonies have spread out from Taroda towards Pawdewadi and Wadi Bk. Fewer tutors may live in the outer colonies than in the centre, so families here often pair a home tutor for one or two subjects with an online tutor for another.
Taroda: two parts that locals name separately, Taroda Bk and Taroda Kh. Always say which one, then add the colony and a map pin. Some families here have moved from other parts of the city or the district; if your child changed board on the way, send the chapters the old school covered.
Chaitanya Nagar: a residential colony close to Taroda and Canal Road, with its own sub post office, which many people use as a reference point. After SSC, students here choose Commerce as readily as Science; for HSC Commerce, ask for a tutor who sets and marks written problems every week.
Ashtvinayak Nagar: a newer colony at the northern edge, near Taroda, Canal Road and Chaitanya Nagar, also written Ashtavinayak Nagar. With fewer tutors inside the colony itself, a mixed plan makes sense: a home tutor for maths or science, and an online class with a quiet corner and a working camera for the rest.
Canal Road: a long road across the north of the city, with shops along it and quieter lanes behind. The colony matters more than the road, so give the colony name, the side of the road your home is on and the nearest well-known corner. Households with two school-going children can often share one tutor's visit.
Pawdewadi: on the north-western edge, reached by the Pawadewadi road, with new homes beside its older village core. Give both spellings, Pawdewadi and Pawadewadi. Two weekday classes and one longer weekend session suit many tutors who travel out here.
Wadi Bk: short for Wadi Budruk, on the north-western fringe close to Pawdewadi. Other places in the district are also called Wadi, so always write "Wadi Bk, Nanded" with your colony and a map pin. For Classes 9 and 10, try to keep the same tutor for both years.
New Nanded and Waghala
The south bank of the Godavari, the larger of the city's two parts by area. Waghala's name is joined with Nanded's in the name of the municipal corporation, and Vishnupuri on the Nanded to Latur highway has grown from a village into a suburb. Tutors from Old Nanded must cross the river, so we look first for tutors who already live or teach on this side.
Waghala: apartment projects and new colonies, with many families who moved from Old Nanded or other towns. Children here attend State Board, CBSE and ICSE schools, often some way from home. Write "New Nanded, south of the river" in the request so a tutor coming from the north plans the route.
Kautha: a residential area often split in local use into old Kautha and Navin Kautha; say which, and add the building and a map pin. Many children travel to school by bus or van, so the tutor's hour starts after the child is home, has eaten and has rested.
Vishnupuri: on the south-western side, an old village that now also has campus housing and new colonies. Send a landmark on the main road and a map pin. Students aiming for NEET here often want help with biology diagrams and NCERT-based physics and chemistry, and a home and online mix is easy to arrange.
Dhanegaon: a former village on the southern side, near New Nanded, where new homes and colonies are spreading. Families have children at every stage. For Classes 1 to 4, ask for a tutor who reads aloud, practises tables and writes a short note in the notebook after each class.
Boards, mediums and entrance years in Nanded
Students across the city study under the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, CBSE or ICSE. The State Board conducts the SSC (Class 10) and HSC (Class 12) examinations, and Nanded falls under its Latur division; use only mahahsscboard.in for notices and dates. Schools teach in Marathi, English, Urdu and semi-English mediums, so name the medium in your request as well as the board.
- Board pages: Maharashtra Board tutors, CBSE tutors and ICSE tutors in Nanded.
- Single subjects: maths, science, physics, chemistry, biology and English.
- Entrance years: MHT-CET is run by the State CET Cell, and JEE Main and NEET (UG) by the National Testing Agency. See JEE and NEET home tutors in Nanded.
Many Class 11 and 12 students already attend coaching classes in Nanded for the entrance side. A home tutor works well beside them when given a narrow job, such as board answers, practical files or doubts left from the week.
Home, online or both
Sitting at the same table helps a young child, a student switching medium, or anyone who loses focus alone. A screen helps when the right specialist lives in Pune, Mumbai or another state, when the only free hour comes late after coaching, or when your colony on the edge of the city has few tutors close by. An online tutor for Nanded students can be added to a home plan in any term. How NXTutors can help
Send us four things: your child's class and board, the school's medium, the subjects, and your locality with the bank of the river it sits on. In return you get two or three matched tutors. We look in your own colony first, then across your zone and Nanded as a whole, and we add online tutors from other cities if one suits the subject better. Every tutor's fee is shown to you before the demo, each tutor's first class is a free demo, and moving to a different tutor later is free. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete, explained in full on how we check tutors.
Your starting page is home tutors in Nanded. Before the first class, read the checklist for a demo class, then book your free demo class. Tutors who live in Nanded will find families' open requests on tuition jobs in Nanded.
Frequently asked questions
Which localities of Nanded are in this home tuition guide?
Sixteen Nanded localities are in this guide, grouped into four zones on both banks of the Godavari. The zones are Vazirabad and Shivaji Nagar, Anand Nagar and Vasant Nagar, Taroda and North-West Nanded, and New Nanded and Waghala. Every locality name links to a page of its own, with directions, typical homes, timing and the tutors available there.
What landmark should we give a home tutor in Nanded?
Give a home tutor in Nanded a landmark the whole city knows, such as Hazur Sahib Nanded station, Vazirabad Road, Hingoli Gate or Canal Road. Then add the colony, building, floor and flat or house number. In the newer colonies of Taroda, Pawdewadi, Kautha or Dhanegaon, a map pin sent before the demo saves the tutor a search.
Is it harder to find a tutor in New Nanded than in Old Nanded?
Finding a tutor in New Nanded can take a little longer, because many tutors living in Old Nanded must cross the river. We look first for tutors who already live or teach south of the Godavari, in Waghala, Kautha, Vishnupuri or Dhanegaon. Where nearby choice is thin, an online tutor can cover one subject.
Can a home tutor teach in Marathi or Urdu as well as English?
Some home tutors in Nanded explain in Marathi, Hindi or Urdu as well as English, so ask for it in the request. Say which medium the school uses and whether your child has recently moved to English medium. The tutor can then explain a term in the home language and check answers in the exam language.
Should a student who attends coaching also have a home tutor?
A student who attends coaching can benefit from a home tutor when the tutor has a narrow job the class does not cover. Board answers, practical files, a change of medium or doubts from the week are common examples. Share the coaching days and the school timetable so the home hour leaves room for self-study.
What happens if few tutors live close to our Nanded colony?
When few tutors live close to your Nanded colony, we look further out, first across your zone, then across the city, and then online. A common answer in the outer colonies is one home tutor for the subject that needs a table and a pencil, with an online tutor for another. Each tutor's first class is still a free demo.
