What home tuition costs in Bhiwandi

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Example only, not a quote: one subject, one-hour classes, 4 weeks a month. Your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.
Classes a week Classes a month At ₹800 an hour At ₹2,500 an hour
2 8 ₹6,400 a month ₹20,000 a month
3 12 ₹9,600 a month ₹30,000 a month

Why one-to-one home tuition costs more than group coaching

In a coaching batch, one teacher's hour is shared by many students, so each family pays for a part of it. At home the whole hour is your child's: the pace, the questions and the homework check follow one student, and the tutor's travel to your home is part of the working day. A small group of two or three children from the same society usually costs less per child, with less individual attention.

Home tuition in Bhiwandi, naka by naka: a family guide from Chavindra to Anjur Phata

Bhiwandi lies in Thane district on the Mumbai–Agra road, and most families here describe where they live by the nearest naka rather than by a sector number. Vanjar Patti Naka anchors the north, with Gokul Nagar, Avachit Pada and Chavindra around it. Nagaon, Shanti Nagar, Gaibi Nagar and Ashok Nagar fill the closely built east, and Kaneri sits at the centre near Kalyan Naka. Dhamankar Naka, Padma Nagar and Temghar make up the south-central and south-east side, while Kamatghar, Narpoli and Anjur Phata form the south-west, where the road from Thane comes in. Classrooms run in Marathi, Urdu, Hindi and English medium, mostly on the Maharashtra State Board, and the city has CBSE and ICSE schools as well. So before anything else, a tutor in Bhiwandi needs three facts from you: your naka, your child's board, and the language your child's textbooks are printed in.

What should a Bhiwandi family tell us when asking for a tutor?

Give us the class and the board, the subjects that are slipping, your locality with the nearest naka or chowk, the medium your child studies in, the hours that stay free once school and homework are over, and whether you want lessons at home, online or a mix of the two. Add a monthly budget if you have one, and we keep the shortlist inside it. We send back two or three matched tutors, each tutor's fee is shown before you meet anyone, and the first lesson with the tutor you pick is a free demo. Four details change the match more than any others in Bhiwandi:

  • The medium, not only the board. Two children in the same State Board class may be reading their science book in Urdu and in Marathi. Say which one, and say what is spoken at home, so the tutor can explain in one language and write answers in the other.
  • The naka you live nearest. Vanjar Patti Naka, Kalyan Naka, Dhamankar Naka and Anjur Phata are the points every tutor knows, and many lanes borrow their names. Give the naka first, then the building, wing and floor.
  • Your side of the city. A tutor based around Kamatghar reaches Narpoli and Anjur Phata easily, while Chavindra on the northern edge is a longer trip. Tutors who live close by keep a weekly slot far more reliably than those crossing town.
  • The school session. Some children here go to a morning session and others to an afternoon one, so the free hour may come straight after lunch or only after dark. Tell us which.

Treat the demo as an ordinary lesson on this week's chapter. If it does not feel right, the next tutor on the list takes a turn, and changing tutor later costs nothing either.

Coaching classes, tuition classes or a home tutor in Bhiwandi?

Plenty of parents begin by looking for coaching classes in Bhiwandi, and for many children a group class does the job well. Before paying for a term, be clear about what each option gives your child.

  • A coaching or tuition class teaches a batch from one syllabus at one pace, usually at a centre. Each family pays less per hour, there are regular tests, and it suits a child who keeps up and is happy to ask questions in front of others.
  • A home tutor teaches one child, at your home or online, at that child's speed and in that child's medium. The whole hour goes on your child's own mistakes rather than the batch's average.

Trouble usually starts when a child sits through a batch without saying they are lost. In Bhiwandi this is more likely when the class is taught in a different language from the child's school: an Urdu-medium Class 9 student in an English-medium batch may follow the sums and still miss the words in every question. It also happens with shy children and with HSC students whose entrance batch races ahead of the board chapters.

Some families use both: the class for structure and tests, and two short one-to-one hours a week for doubts and written answers. Others leave the batch in the SSC year and keep only the tutor. NXTutors does not run coaching centres or batches; every lesson we arrange is one-to-one. If you are weighing tuition classes in Bhiwandi against a personal tutor, a free demo with one of the two or three tutors we suggest shows the difference in a single lesson, and you see that tutor's fee before it starts.

Bhiwandi in four zones

Bhiwandi matches are drawn from our pool of tutor profiles, and 15 Bhiwandi localities have a page of its own. Each of those pages lists tutors in the same order: people living in the locality, then those who already travel there, then the rest of the zone, then Bhiwandi as a whole, and lastly online tutors. For home visits we group the city into four zones, drawn up from the corporation's ward maps and the roads tutors really use: Vanjar Patti Naka and the North, Nagaon, Shanti Nagar and Kaneri, Dhamankar Naka and Temghar and Kamatghar, Narpoli and Anjur Phata. The grouping is ours, made for planning a tutor's trip; it is not a set of ward boundaries.

Vanjar Patti Naka and the North: out towards Nashik Road and Wada Road

Vanjar Patti Naka is a busy junction on the northern side of the city, and its name covers the homes around it too, from older two-storey houses to newer apartment buildings. Spellings vary, Vanjarpatti and Wanjarpatti among them, so use the one your neighbours write. Gokul Nagar is a residential colony beside the naka, with small apartment buildings and family homes along its lanes; several Indian cities have a Gokul Nagar, so add Bhiwandi to the address. Avachit Pada, also written Avchit Pada, grew out of an older pada settlement near Nadi Naka and the road to Wada. Chavindra sits on the northern edge of the corporation area, where the old Chavindra Gaon core is now ringed by newer buildings and colonies.

The ward maps for this side mark Nashik Road, Wada Road and the Kamwari river, and the Mumbai–Agra road passes the Vanjarpatti flyover. Children here mostly study on the State Board in Marathi, Urdu, Hindi or English medium, and a switch of medium around Class 5 or Class 8 is common; that is exactly when a tutor who can bridge two languages earns a place. Chavindra lies on the outer edge, so fewer tutors may live within easy reach, and many families there pair two home visits a week for a younger child with an online lesson for a Class 9 or 10 student. Say whether you live in the gaon itself or in one of the newer buildings around it.

Nagaon, Shanti Nagar and Kaneri: the closely built east and the centre

Nagaon runs along Nagaon Road in the north-east of central Bhiwandi, towards Khandu Pada, and many families live above ground-floor shops in compact buildings set close together. Shanti Nagar is one of the larger residential parts of the city and stretches over more than one ward on the eastern side of the old town. Gaibi Nagar and Ashok Nagar sit beside it towards Kalyan Road; a single ward map shows all three together, which is why one tutor can often teach in two of them on the same evening. Gaibi Nagar has independent houses and small buildings, and Ashok Nagar mixes apartment blocks with older homes. Kaneri is the centre of the city, around Kalyan Naka on Agra Road, close to the municipal corporation's main office.

Most children in this zone follow the State Board in Urdu, Hindi, Marathi or English medium, and some in Ashok Nagar and Kaneri attend CBSE or ICSE schools. Senior requests differ by colony: HSC Commerce and accounts come up often in Nagaon, while Kaneri sees HSC Science students preparing for an entrance test at the same time. Back-to-back one-to-one slots for two or three children in one home are a regular arrangement. Addresses in these lanes can be hard to follow, so give the building name, the floor, a shop everyone knows and a phone number someone will answer. The main roads near Kalyan Naka are at their busiest at peak hours, which makes early-afternoon or late-evening lessons the ones that start on time.

Dhamankar Naka and Temghar: south-central lanes and newer buildings to the east

Dhamankar Naka is a well-known junction in south-central Bhiwandi, and the name stretches over the residential lanes and buildings around it. Padma Nagar lies right next to it, a locality of many apartment buildings that property listings often write as Dhamankar Naka Padma Nagar. Temghar, sometimes spelt Themghar, is in the south-east towards Kalyan Road; it takes in the older Temghar Pada and a growing number of apartment buildings where young families have settled.

The old Thane Road appears on the ward maps for this side of the city. Families speak many home languages, and children follow the State Board, CBSE and ICSE. Requests tend to follow the colony: planning for the SSC year around Dhamankar Naka, reading and number work for primary children in Padma Nagar, and board-plus-entrance support in Temghar, where senior students often keep a home tutor for school subjects and take entrance lessons online. Because one naka name covers a wide area, add the wing and floor to your building name, and from Temghar send a location pin before the first visit, since newer buildings do not always show clearly on maps.

Kamatghar, Narpoli and Anjur Phata: the south-west, where the Thane road comes in

Kamatghar is a large residential part of south-west Bhiwandi that has grown around the old Kamatghar Gaothan and Kamatghar Road. It now has many apartment buildings and housing societies, and with them a lot of families whose children are in the early and middle classes. Narpoli lies between Kamatghar and the Anjur Phata side and takes in the older Narpoli Gaon along with newer colonies such as Ajmer Nagar. Anjur Phata is the junction where the road from Thane meets the city, and its name also covers the homes and buildings nearby.

Bhiwandi Road station, on the Vasai Road–Roha line between Kharbav and Kopar, is near Anjur Phata, and the bus stop there stands on NH848. Where a parent works in Thane or Mumbai, the free hour often depends on who gets home first, so a fixed evening start, with an online lesson on days when nobody is in, keeps the routine steady. Children here follow the State Board, CBSE and ICSE, and English medium is common in Kamatghar. In a housing society, give the guard the tutor's name and timing before the first visit. In Narpoli, lead with the gaon or colony name, then the lane and a nearby chowk; near Anjur Phata, say which side of the junction you live on.

Which board, and which medium? State Board, CBSE, CISCE and international syllabuses in Bhiwandi

Most Bhiwandi children study on the Maharashtra State Board, and the city has CBSE and ICSE schools too; IB and IGCSE families usually find their specialist online. We check the syllabus before suggesting anyone, because a tutor who is at ease with one paper may be new to another.

SyllabusWhat your child facesA question for the tutor
Maharashtra State Board (MSBSHSE): SSC and HSC The SSC examination at the end of Class 10, and the HSC at the end of Class 12 in the Science, Commerce or Arts stream. Textbooks come in more than one medium. Will you teach from my child's own textbook, in its medium, and practise the written answers the board paper asks for?
CBSE NCERT textbooks at the centre: every in-text question and exercise first, sample papers after. How will you make sure the NCERT exercises are done before any extra book comes out?
CISCE: ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) More subjects, longer written answers and prescribed English literature. How will you spread the week across so many subjects without dropping one?
IB Diploma and Cambridge IGCSE Internal assessment and coursework for IB; past papers and mark schemes for IGCSE. Will you guide the coursework without writing any part of it?

SSC and HSC timetables, patterns and circulars change, so read them on mahahsscboard.in rather than trusting last year's notes. Our pages on Maharashtra Board tutors in Bhiwandi, CBSE tutors for Bhiwandi families and ICSE and ISC tuition in Bhiwandi go into each in more depth.

A short word on medium

Bhiwandi has many home languages. At the 2011 census Urdu, Hindi and Marathi were the most widely spoken, with Telugu, Gujarati, Bhojpuri and Rajasthani also heard, and Marathi is the official language. State Board schools in the city teach in Marathi, Urdu, Hindi and English medium. Tell us the medium, and the language your child thinks in if it is a different one. A tutor who explains an idea once in the home language and then writes the textbook term beside it helps most in the year after a change of medium. If Marathi or English is taken as a language paper, give it its own regular time rather than squeezing it in before the exam.

How should tuition change between Class 1 and Class 12?

Classes 1 to 5: reading, writing and number facts

At this age the work is phonics and reading aloud, neat handwriting, times tables and simple word problems. Short lessons of about an hour, three times a week, suit young children better than two long ones. A small notebook of new words for each subject, read through together on Sundays, helps for years. Home visits stay the easier choice here, because small children focus better with an adult beside them.

Classes 6 to 10: the climb towards SSC or the Class 10 board

Algebra, grammar and science diagrams pile up between Classes 6 and 8, and a twice-weekly tutor can rebuild those basics before Class 9. In the board year itself, regular written practice beats reading: one timed paper every fortnight, each mistake taken up in the next lesson. CBSE families can use our Class 10 maths preparation plan and Class 10 science notes alongside the tutor.

Classes 11 and 12: the stream first, then a specialist

The HSC stream decides the help a student needs, and a commerce tutor and a physics tutor are rarely the same person. For Science, pick a separate specialist for each subject that worries you, since a weak Class 11 start tends to follow a student into Class 12. Our Class 12 physics strategies and guide to Class 12 calculus and algebra are written for CBSE but useful to any board student.

Which subjects can a Bhiwandi tutor help with?

Maths and science from Class 6 onwards make up a large share of what parents ask for, but tutors listed with us also teach English and other language papers, history and political science, geography, accounts and economics, computer studies, and for younger children one tutor can often cover every subject. The core subjects each have a Bhiwandi page: maths, science, physics, chemistry, biology and English.

What marks out a good subject tutor here? In maths, they trace a wrong answer back to the first broken step, even when that step sits in an earlier class. In science, they check that a child who learnt a topic in Urdu or Marathi can now read the same question in the book's own words. In chemistry, they keep numericals, reactions and definitions moving together; our organic and inorganic chemistry guide for Class 12 shows one way to plan that. And in English, which many families here want for confidence as much as for marks, they work on short daily reading, one grammar point a week and a paragraph that is corrected and then rewritten.

Where does a home tutor fit in MHT-CET, JEE or NEET preparation?

Many HSC Science students in Bhiwandi aim at one of three entrance tests, and each runs on its own pattern. MHT-CET, the state's entrance test for professional courses with PCM and PCB groups, is held by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, which publishes its notices on cetcell.mahacet.org. JEE Main and NEET (UG) are conducted by the National Testing Agency, whose bulletins are on nta.ac.in, and candidates who qualify through JEE Main can go on to JEE Advanced. Take every date from those sites in the year your child applies.

A personal tutor helps most here when the brief is narrow and clear. Families usually choose one of these:

  1. Keeping the HSC on track. Board chapters and practicals move forward every week, so entrance work never leaves the Class 12 paper behind.
  2. A weekly doubt hour. The student brings the questions from class or self-study that would not come out, and nothing new starts until those are clear.
  3. Steady practice in one subject. Biology for NEET needs daily reading and diagrams, while physics and chemistry need regular numericals; one tutor per subject keeps each moving.
  4. Tracking mock tests. A tutor who records each score and changes the plan when scores stall gives the family a clear view of progress.

Read more on our pages for JEE tutors in Bhiwandi and NEET tutors in Bhiwandi. At the demo, ask which test the tutor has actually taught for, and how they would split the week between it and the board syllabus.

Home visits or video lessons: which suits a Bhiwandi home?

A tutor at the table helps most with children below about Class 6, with anyone who drifts during screen time, and with subjects where you want to see every line of working. Online lessons widen the choice to tutors across the Mumbai region and the rest of India, which matters for IB, IGCSE, an uncommon ISC elective or senior entrance work. A few local patterns shape the choice:

  • The outer edges. Chavindra in the north and parts of Temghar in the south-east have fewer tutors within easy reach, so a nearby home tutor for school subjects plus an online specialist is a common pairing.
  • The busy centre. Around Kalyan Naka and on the main roads of the east, peak hours slow every journey; an earlier slot, or video on the most crowded day, keeps lessons on time.
  • Long working days. Where no adult is home on some evenings, an online lesson on those days keeps the habit going without a visit.

For online lessons, a desk, a steady connection and a quiet room are enough. See online tuition for Bhiwandi and our comparison of home and online tutoring.

What do home tutors in Bhiwandi charge?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.

We do not fix fees. Every tutor sets their own, shown to you before the demo. Put the same few questions to each tutor:

  • How long is one lesson, and how many a week would you suggest for this class?
  • Is the fee the same for two children taught one after the other in our home?
  • Does coming to our side of Bhiwandi change anything about the timing or the fee?
  • What happens when either of us has to miss a lesson?

Spend first on the subject that is causing the most trouble; one strong tutor there usually does more than the same money spread across three subjects. For the national picture by class and subject, see the pricing guide, and for the local view, our post on home tuition fees in Bhiwandi.

How do you judge a tutor during the free demo?

A profile helps you shortlist, but one real lesson tells you much more. Sit nearby for the first part, or ask your child afterwards, and go through these points:

  • Did the tutor ask about the board, the medium and the textbook before starting?
  • Did they test what your child already knows with a few questions instead of opening at page one?
  • When your child got stuck on a word, did the tutor explain it in a language your child understands, then return to the textbook term?
  • Was your child reading, writing and solving for most of the hour, or mostly listening?
  • Asked how the SSC, HSC or CBSE paper is marked in their subject, did they answer precisely?
  • Can they honestly keep the agreed time, week after week, from where they live?

In a housing society, pass the tutor's name to the guard in advance; in a lane off a naka, send the building, wing, floor and a location pin. Keep lessons in a shared room while an adult is at home, and agree how the tutor will report progress. Our demo class checklist for parents has more.

Is there a good time of year to begin?

Tuition can start at any point, but each stretch of the school year asks for something different from a tutor:

  • The start of the year and the summer break. The easiest time to close last year's gaps before new chapters arrive, and to settle a child into a new medium or a new school.
  • The first term. Set the weekly rhythm early, while evening slots are still open.
  • The festival months. Expect a few lighter weeks, and add an hour or two before and after them.
  • Winter. Finish the syllabus, then move to full papers and preliminary exams; take every exam date only from the board's own notices.
  • The board and entrance season. SSC and HSC papers come first, followed by the entrance tests; the tutor's job shifts to timed practice and calm revision.

State Board families should follow the board's own calendar on mahahsscboard.in, which need not match a CBSE or ICSE school's. Starting later is still worthwhile, with the weight moving towards past papers and exam technique.

How do you get started in Bhiwandi?

Three steps. First, tell us the class, board, medium and subjects, your locality with its naka or chowk, and the hours left free after school. Second, look over the two or three tutors we suggest, fees included, and choose one for the free demo. Third, decide after that lesson. You can also open your own locality from the list on this page, browse tutor profiles or book a free demo class straight away. Where no home tutor lives near enough yet, an online tutor can start without waiting.

For advice locality by locality, our Bhiwandi home tuition guide walks through all four zones, from Chavindra and Vanjar Patti Naka in the north to Kamatghar and Anjur Phata in the south-west.

Nearby, our Mumbai page covers Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai, and the neighbouring cities of Kalyan and Dombivli, Vasai, Nalasopara and Virar and Mira Road and Bhayandar each have their own guide. Elsewhere in Maharashtra we also cover Pune, Nashik and Nagpur; the full list is on our cities page.

Home tuition in Bhiwandi: common questions

How much does a home tutor cost in Bhiwandi?

Tutors set their own fees, by class, subject and experience. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. You see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Can my child join NXTutors coaching classes in Bhiwandi?

No, NXTutors has no centre or batch in Bhiwandi, and every lesson we arrange is one-to-one. We match your child with a single tutor who teaches at your home or online, in the board and medium your child studies in. You get two or three matched tutors, see each tutor's fee before the free demo class, and switching tutor later is free.

Are tuition classes in Bhiwandi or a home tutor the better choice for an SSC student?

It depends on whether your child keeps up in a group or needs someone to find the gaps. A tuition class moves the whole batch at one pace and costs each family less per hour; a home tutor works on your child's own mistakes, in Marathi, Urdu, Hindi or English medium, and marks timed SSC papers one by one. The free demo class lets you try one-to-one teaching first.

Which areas of Bhiwandi do your tutors cover?

Tutors currently cover 15 areas of Bhiwandi, including Anjur Phata, Ashok Nagar, Avachit Pada, Chavindra, Dhamankar Naka. Each area page lists the tutors nearest to it.

Which boards and exams do tutors in Bhiwandi teach?

CBSE, ICSE and ISC, IB and IGCSE for Classes 6 to 12, plus JEE and NEET preparation, at home or online.

Is the first class free?

Yes. The first session is a free demo class, so you can judge the tutor's teaching style before deciding. If the fit is not right, we suggest another tutor.
