Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Ask three Bhiwandi families what "maths tuition" means and you may hear three answers. One child is in an Urdu-medium Standard VIII class and has started to dread algebra. Another sits SSC this year and has two separate maths papers to face. A third is in Standard XII, writing the HSC Mathematics and Statistics paper while also preparing for an entrance test. A tutor who suits one of them may be wrong for the others. Tell NXTutors the class, the course, the school's medium and your locality, and we send two or three maths tutors who match on all four. Each tutor's fee is on the shortlist before anyone visits, and the first lesson is a free demo.
Plenty of parents start by looking for coaching classes in Bhiwandi, and a batch can work well for a child who keeps up and asks questions. The trouble starts when a child sits quietly at the back, copies the board and goes home with a notebook full of answers they could not produce alone. Group tuition classes move at the pace of the room. A one-to-one tutor moves at the pace of one child, reads that child's own working and stops at the exact line where it went wrong. NXTutors arranges one-to-one teaching only, at home or online. Some families keep a batch for the syllabus and add a home tutor once a week for the problems that were never understood.
Abhinandan Tiwary wrote the Class 10 CBSE and ICSE parts of this page, and Ajay Vatsyayan the ISC, IB and IGCSE parts. Maharashtra State Board details come from the board's own subject lists and published schemes. Find your child's row, then bring the item in the last column to the first lesson.
| Course | Examined by | Paper in brief | Bring to the demo |
|---|---|---|---|
| SSC Mathematics, subject 71 (Standards IX–X) | Maharashtra State Board | Two parts, each a 40-mark paper, plus 20 internal marks | The last unit test for both parts |
| HSC Mathematics & Statistics, subject 40 (Arts and Science) | Maharashtra State Board | One 80-mark paper in four sections, with choice inside it | A recent college test and the chapter list for this term |
| HSC Maths & Stat., subject 88 (Commerce) | Maharashtra State Board | A separate subject with its own scheme | The textbook your junior college uses |
| CBSE Class 10, Standard or Basic | CBSE | 80 on the board paper, 20 assessed by the school | The level your child is entered for |
| ICSE Class 10, ISC Class 12 | CISCE | An 80-mark paper with 20 for internal or project work | The exam year printed on the syllabus |
| IB Diploma, Cambridge IGCSE | IB, Cambridge | IB: timed papers and an exploration. IGCSE: Core or Extended | The course name and level, exactly as the school writes it |
Most Bhiwandi children study under the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, which holds the SSC after Standard X and the HSC after Standard XII. On the board's SSC list, Mathematics is subject 71, and its Standard IX–X scheme splits it into two parts. Each part is set as a full 40-mark paper, and the school adds 20 internal marks. A strong showing in one part cannot rescue a weak one, so a tutor has to keep both moving all year.
A workable weekly pattern for SSC maths looks like this:
Schemes are revised from time to time, so check the current version on mahahsscboard.in before fixing a year's plan. The Maharashtra Board home tutor in Bhiwandi page covers the other SSC and HSC subjects.
After SSC, a State Board student usually moves to a junior college for Standards XI and XII. For subject 40, the paper taken in Arts and Science, the board publishes marks for every Standard XII chapter. Including the options built into the paper, each of the two parts offers 56 marks. The table groups them the way a tutor might plan a term:
| Part and group | Chapters (marks) | Planning note |
|---|---|---|
| Part I, geometry and vectors | Vectors (12); Line and Plane (10); Pair of Straight Lines (6) | 28 marks that reward a clear sketch before any algebra |
| Part I, algebra and logic | Trigonometric Functions (10); Mathematical Logic (8); Matrices (6); Linear Programming (4) | Logic and linear programming are short chapters that pay back quickly |
| Part II, calculus | Indefinite Integration (10); Differentiation (9); Applications of Derivatives (9); Differential Equations (8); Definite Integration (6); Application of Definite Integration (4) | 46 marks in all, so calculus needs a slot every single week |
| Part II, statistics | Probability Distributions (5); Binomial Distribution (5) | Leave these until the calculus routine is steady, then drill them with past questions |
The same scheme sets out how the paper is pitched. By objective, 30% of questions test knowledge, 42% understanding and 28% application and skill. By difficulty, 30% are easy, 50% average and 20% difficult, and theory questions are limited to 15%. For a student, that means solving many problems matters far more than learning derivations by heart.
The written paper carries 80 marks. Practising each section on its own terms, rather than just "doing questions", is what turns chapter knowledge into marks:
Log tables may be used and calculators may not. Graph paper is not needed, but a rough sketch is expected where a question calls for one. Choice inside the paper tempts some students to drop whole chapters; a careful tutor agrees early, in writing, which topics are truly optional.
No. The board's HSC list carries two maths subjects: 40 for Arts and Science, and 88, Maths and Statistics for Commerce. The chapter table above is for subject 40 only. Commerce is a common HSC choice in parts of Bhiwandi, so check which code the junior college has entered your child for and read that subject's own scheme on mahahsscboard.in. When you send us a request, write "HSC Commerce maths" in plain words. A tutor who has taught only the Science paper should say so, and the demo is the place to find out.
For 2026-27, CBSE spreads its 80 Class 10 board marks across 14 NCERT chapters and keeps last session's paper design. Algebra carries 20, geometry 15, trigonometry 12, statistics with probability 11, mensuration 10, and real numbers and coordinate geometry 6 each. Section A of the paper holds twenty one-mark questions, and the later sections step up through two, three and five marks to three four-mark case studies. Calculators are not allowed. Standard and Basic share the chapter list, but Basic leans more on recall, so a child who may want maths in Class 11 should take Standard. An optional second Class 10 sitting allows up to three subjects, maths included, to be improved; the timetable comes only from cbse.gov.in.
In Class 12, the paper has 38 compulsory questions for 80 marks, with 20 internal, and calculus alone is worth 35. Useful next reads are the Class 10 maths preparation guide, the board-year planner, the Class 12 calculus and algebra guide, and our Class 10 and Class 12 maths tutor pages.
Often, yes, as long as the week is split on purpose. MHT-CET, the state's entrance test for professional courses, is run by the State CET Cell, whose site, cetcell.mahacet.org, is the only safe place for its syllabus and pattern. JEE Main is set by NTA. In 2026, Paper 1 had 75 questions for 300 marks, 25 of them in maths: 20 multiple-choice and 5 needing a numerical answer. A right answer earned four marks and a wrong one lost one. Read the newest bulletin on nta.ac.in before planning, since NTA can change the pattern.
A split week might give one lesson to a full board-style answer, marked line by line, and the other to a timed objective set whose wrong answers are reworked slowly the next time. If your child already attends a batch, the home hour takes the sheet questions that were skipped and the board writing that a batch rarely checks. Our JEE home tutor in Bhiwandi page and the article on coaching or a home tutor for JEE go further.
Teachers for these courses are fewer in Bhiwandi than State Board tutors, so name the course in your first message. Where nobody suitable lives close by, an online specialist is the usual answer.
Addresses in Bhiwandi can be hard for a newcomer to follow, so a clear description saves the first lesson. Tutors for every locality are listed on our Bhiwandi page.
| Locality | Setting | Describing the address | Agree first |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vanjar Patti Naka | A busy junction on the northern side, with older houses and newer apartment buildings | Use the spelling your neighbours use (Vanjarpatti and Wanjarpatti are both seen) and add one landmark | Whether a third weekly lesson can run online on late school days |
| Chavindra | The northern edge of the corporation area, an old gaon core ringed by newer colonies | Say whether you live in the gaon or a newer building, and name the nearest chowk | A home-and-online mix, since fewer tutors may live next door |
| Gokul Nagar | A residential colony beside Vanjar Patti Naka, small buildings and family homes | Write "Gokul Nagar, Bhiwandi" and the nearest naka, as the name is common elsewhere | A fortnightly timed SSC paper, checked in the next lesson |
| Nagaon | Closely built lanes along Nagaon Road, with homes above shops | Building, floor and the lane off Nagaon Road | A fixed late-evening start time, and whether the tutor teaches Commerce maths |
| Shanti Nagar | A large, crowded residential area spread across more than one ward | Building name, floor, a nearby chowk or shop, and a phone that will be answered | Back-to-back one-to-one slots if siblings also need maths |
| Ashok Nagar | Apartment buildings and older homes near Kalyan Road, with some CBSE and ICSE students | Always "Ashok Nagar, Bhiwandi" plus Kalyan Road | A regular evening slot fixed early in the term, before evenings fill |
The zone pages for Vanjar Patti Naka and the North and Nagaon, Shanti Nagar and Kaneri add local tips, and the Bhiwandi home tuition guide covers every part of the city, including Dhamankar Naka, Temghar and Narpoli.
It matters a great deal. Bhiwandi homes speak Urdu, Hindi and Marathi most often, with Telugu, Gujarati and other languages also heard, and State Board schools here teach in Marathi, Urdu, Hindi and English medium. A child may follow a method perfectly when it is explained at home and still lose marks because the paper uses different words for "ratio", "perpendicular" or "hence prove". Some children also change medium around Standard V or VIII, and suddenly every word problem looks harder than the maths inside it.
The fix is simple to describe. The tutor explains a hard step in the language your child reasons in, then writes the textbook's own term beside it and uses that term from then on. A small word list per chapter, read aloud once a week, does the rest. In your request, mention both the language spoken at home and the medium of the school, and during the demo check that the working on the page uses the textbook's words.
Give the tutor this week's school chapter and the last marked test, and ask for an ordinary lesson rather than a show. Then look for four things:
If it does not feel right, tell us and another shortlisted tutor takes a demo; changing tutor later is free as well. The demo class checklist for parents has more questions, and home tutor or online tutor compares the two ways of learning.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, and it usually reflects the course, the tutor's recent experience with it, the trip to your part of the city and how many lessons a week you want. Every fee is visible before the demo, and our Bhiwandi home tuition fees guide lists sensible questions to ask.
Six details are enough: the class; the course (SSC, HSC subject 40 or 88, CBSE Standard or Basic, and so on); any entrance test in view; the school medium and the home language; your locality with a landmark; and the days and times you can offer. We reply with two or three maths tutors and their fees, you choose one, and the first lesson is a free demo. If no good match can reach you at that hour, we suggest online lessons or a mix, as described on our online tutors for Bhiwandi page. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works). NXTutors works from Sector 66, Gurugram, and teaches online across India. The national maths home tutor page explains how matching works everywhere, and families nearer the metro can compare maths tutors in Mumbai or the Mumbai hub. For neighbouring subjects in Bhiwandi, see science and physics.
Maths teachers who live in Bhiwandi and want students close to home can see open requests on the Bhiwandi tuition jobs page.

Bhiwandi maths tutors set their own fees, which usually reflect the course, recent experience with it, the trip to your locality and the number of weekly lessons. Every fee is shown before the demo.

On the Maharashtra State Board, SSC Mathematics (subject 71) is split into two parts, each examined as a full 40-mark paper, with 20 internal marks from school. A good score in one part cannot hide a weak one, so a Bhiwandi tutor should give each part fixed time every week and set a timed paper each fortnight in Standard X.
For HSC Mathematics and Statistics (subject 40), Vectors carries 12 marks with options, and Indefinite Integration, Trigonometric Functions and Line and Plane carry 10 each. The six calculus chapters together give 46 of the 112 option-inclusive marks. A Bhiwandi student should therefore keep a calculus slot every week from Standard XI onwards.
Yes, the State Board lists HSC Commerce maths separately as subject 88, Maths and Statistics (Commerce). The well-known chapter weights belong to subject 40, the Arts and Science paper. A Bhiwandi Commerce student should confirm the code with the junior college, read that subject's scheme on mahahsscboard.in, and ask any tutor whether they have taught it.
The 80-mark HSC maths paper rewards clean first attempts, quick choice of questions and complete working. Only the first attempt at a multiple-choice item is marked, Sections B to D let students choose eight, eight and five questions, and each section starts on a new page. Log tables are allowed, calculators are not, and rough sketches are expected.
A good tutor explains a hard step in the language the child thinks in, then writes the textbook term beside it and uses that term from then on. In Bhiwandi, where many homes speak Urdu, Hindi or Marathi, a short word list per chapter, read aloud weekly, helps children who change medium around Standard V or VIII.
One tutor can handle both if the week is split on purpose between board writing and timed objective practice. MHT-CET is run by the State CET Cell, so read its pattern on cetcell.mahacet.org. JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 had 25 maths questions, five needing a numerical answer, with four marks for a right answer and one deducted for a wrong one.
In Chavindra, say whether you live in the old gaon or a newer building and name the nearest chowk; fewer tutors live there, so a home-and-online mix helps. In Shanti Nagar, which spreads across more than one ward, give the building, floor, a nearby shop or chowk and a phone number that will be answered.
A batch suits a child who keeps pace and asks questions, while a one-to-one tutor suits a child who copies answers without understanding them. NXTutors arranges one-to-one teaching only, at home or online. Some Bhiwandi families keep the batch for the syllabus and add one home lesson a week for the problems that never made sense.
