What home tuition costs in Bhiwandi

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

ICSE and ISC home tutors in Bhiwandi: long English answers, three sciences, electives planned early

In a city where most children sit the SSC and HSC, an ICSE family in Bhiwandi is following a different map. The council examines through long written answers in English, splits Class 10 science into three papers, gives half the marks of one subject to internal work, and in the ISC years fixes electives early and makes practicals and projects compulsory. Tutors who know that map well are fewer than state-board tutors, so it pays to ask precise questions. This page explains how the CISCE years are built, where a tutor makes a difference, what changes when a child's home language is not English, and how tutors reach different parts of the city. The ICSE maths notes follow the approach of Abhinandan Tiwary, the science notes that of Aaditya Kashyap, and the ISC maths notes that of Ajay Vatsyayan.

Where ICSE fits among Bhiwandi's boards

Bhiwandi's schools follow the Maharashtra State Board in Marathi, Urdu, Hindi and English medium, alongside CBSE and ICSE schools. We do not publish shares for each board. For tuition, the useful contrast is with the state board: the SSC and HSC use the board's own textbooks and activity-sheet papers, while CISCE prescribes its own texts, expects fuller answers in English and publishes an Analysis of Pupil Performance after each exam season showing where candidates lost marks. Before taking on an ICSE child, a tutor whose students are mostly SSC candidates should prove they can grade an answer the way a council examiner would.

How the Class 10 subjects are grouped

The three ICSE groups, as the council's regulations set them
GroupContentsExam : internal
Group I, taken by allEnglish; History, Civics & Geography; and one second language80 : 20
Group II, two or three subjectsMathematics and Science are the usual pair; Economics, Commercial Studies, Environmental Science and classical or foreign languages are among the other options80 : 20
Group III, one subjectAn applied subject, for example Art, Physical Education, or Computer, Economic or Commercial Applications50 : 50

Because half the Group III marks come from internal work, it rewards a child who keeps the project moving through the year. Left to the last term, those are the easiest marks to lose.

Mathematics and the three science papers

ICSE Mathematics is a single 80-mark paper, plus 20 internal marks earned through a minimum of two assignments, each assessed twice: once by the child's own teacher, once by an examiner from outside the school. Commercial arithmetic, including banking and shares, sits beside algebra, trigonometry, geometry and statistics, and examiners want the working at every stage. A correct final figure with steps missing still loses marks.

Science is not one paper but three: Physics, Chemistry and Biology, each written for 80 marks with a further 20 for practical work in school. A good physics score cannot rescue a poor biology one, so settle early whether one tutor genuinely handles all three or whether the subject your child finds hardest deserves a separate teacher. Any ICSE tutor you hire should be working from the council's specimen papers and its published analysis of candidates' answers.

Long answers in English when English is not the home language

Many Bhiwandi homes speak Urdu, Hindi, Marathi or Telugu, and an ICSE child from such a home may know the history or biology well yet write two lines where the examiner expects six. The council marks content and expression together, so this costs marks in nearly every subject, not just English.

  • Mark the two separately. Ask the tutor to note, on each practice answer, what was missing in content and what was weak in expression.
  • Plan before writing. Three or four points jotted first, then joined into full sentences, gives longer and clearer answers.
  • Keep timed writing going from Class 9. Speed with long answers builds slowly and cannot be crammed in Class 10.
  • Use the home language to explain, never to answer. Understanding can come in any language; every written answer stays in English.

The English home tutor in Bhiwandi page covers set texts and composition.

The second language in Group I

Every ICSE candidate sits a second language as part of Group I, marked 80 for the paper and 20 internally like English. In a multilingual city this paper is easy to overlook: a child who speaks Hindi or Marathi at home may still struggle with formal grammar, set texts and composition in that language, while a child from an Urdu or Telugu home may be learning the school's second language almost from scratch. Check which language the school offers your child and ask whether the maths and science tutor can also cover it, or whether a separate language tutor for one session a week makes more sense. Leaving this paper to the last term is a common way to lose easy marks in Group I.

ISC in Classes 11 and 12: rules to know before the year starts

  • How many subjects: English is compulsory; electives number three, four or five; six subjects is the ceiling.
  • No late changes: once the cut-off date in the Class 11 registration year passes, the subject list is final, and Class 12 cannot add a subject skipped in Class 11.
  • Moving up to Class 12: the student needs 35% in four subjects, one of them English, and attendance of at least 75%.
  • Lab work: every subject with a practical component must include it, and a student cannot pair Physics with Engineering Science.
  • Passing: results come as grades 1 to 9; the certificate needs passes in four subjects with English among them, plus Socially Useful Productive Work and Community Service.

In ISC Mathematics, both years combine a theory paper worth 80 with a project worth 20. Our ISC maths page and the guide to ICSE and ISC maths explain the paper.

Keeping ISC and entrance preparation in step

An ISC science student preparing for JEE, NEET or MHT-CET is following two chapter orders. Entrance syllabuses rest on NCERT content; ISC follows its own texts and order, so the same chapter may be taught in school long before or after the entrance plan reaches it. Early in Class 11, have the tutor draw a single sheet that pairs every ISC chapter with its NCERT twin and the month each is due. From there the tutor supplies NCERT phrasing and rapid multiple-choice drills wherever the ISC treatment is thin, and protects long answers, practical records and projects where entrance work would push them aside. See JEE and NEET home tutors in Bhiwandi.

The CISCE years, one at a time

Six CISCE years in a Bhiwandi home
StageAt stakeWhere a tutor helps
Classes 6–8Marks in the school's own examsWriting whole sentences, showing each line of a sum, learning scientific terms precisely
Class 9Year one of a course examined at the end of Class 10Older chapters revisited on a rota; weekly practice with diagrams and full working
Class 10The council's papers plus school-assessed workSpecimen papers under exam timing, marked with the council's analysis in hand
Class 11Locked electives and the promotion conditionsChoosing subjects with care, then starting the tougher topics early
Class 12Theory papers, practicals and projectsReal depth in every elective, with practical and project deadlines tracked

How ICSE tutors reach six Bhiwandi localities

  • Ashok Nagar: a share of children here attend CBSE and ICSE schools; say ICSE or ISC first, and write "Ashok Nagar, Bhiwandi" with the nearest road.
  • Kamatghar: many families study in English medium; in a housing society, give the building and flat and let the guard know the tutor's name and time.
  • Temghar: senior students here often pair a home tutor with online lessons; send a map pin, and note the Themghar spelling.
  • Kaneri: central around Kalyan Naka, which makes it easier for a senior-class specialist to reach; avoid the busiest hours on the main roads.
  • Anjur Phata: say which side of the junction you live on; a fixed evening hour suits parents who return late.
  • Dhamankar Naka: give building, wing and floor, since the naka name covers a wide area.

ISC elective specialists are scarcer than general tutors in any city, so a common arrangement is a nearby tutor for maths and science with an online teacher for a single elective or for English literature. The Nagaon, Shanti Nagar and Kaneri zone page and the Bhiwandi home tuition guide add local timing advice; see also online tuition in Bhiwandi.

After Class 10: ISC, CBSE or an HSC junior college

A Bhiwandi student finishing ICSE usually weighs three routes. Staying with ISC keeps the council's answer style, with deeper electives and more practical and project work. Moving to CBSE means NCERT books and CBSE sample papers, with shorter answers closer to the textbook. Moving to a state-board junior college means the HSC, with subjects such as Physics (54), Chemistry (55) and Biology (56) on the board's own list, and a different paper style; the Maharashtra Board tutor in Bhiwandi page explains it. Whichever route wins, spend the break after the Class 10 papers on the first chapters of the next course. Because ISC subjects lock early in Class 11, decide before term begins.

Testing a tutor against the council's style

  • From which year are the specimen papers and the council analysis you teach with?
  • In a maths answer, what do you expect to see written besides the final figure?
  • Are you as comfortable with chemistry equations as with physics numericals and biology diagrams?
  • When an answer is right but thinly written, how do you fix the English?
  • For ISC, how will you support a project or lab record without doing it for my child?

We send two or three matched tutors with their fees listed up front; after the demo you can still swap tutors later at no cost. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how we check tutors).

Fees and getting started

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. An ICSE or ISC quote depends on the class, how many papers need help, the weeks left before exams and how far the tutor travels. Read the pricing guide and home tuition fees in Bhiwandi.

ICSE Home Tutor in Bhiwandi (ICSE & ISC, Classes 6–12): common questions

How much does an ICSE or ISC home tutor in Bhiwandi charge?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. An ICSE or ISC quote in Bhiwandi depends on the class, the number of papers, the weeks before exams and the tutor's travel.

How can I find a tutor who really knows ICSE in a mostly State Board city?

Name ICSE or ISC, the class and the subjects in your request, and ask each tutor which specimen papers and council analysis they use. We send two or three matched tutors with fees shown first, the first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later costs nothing.

Why do ICSE students from Urdu or Hindi homes lose marks in long answers?

They often know the content but write too little in English, and the council marks content and expression together. A tutor can mark the two separately, teach the student to jot points before writing, and keep timed writing going from Class 9, while explanations can still use the home language.

How is ICSE Class 10 science examined?

ICSE Class 10 science is examined as three separate papers, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, each of 80 marks with 20 more for internal practical work. Strength in one paper does not help the others, so decide early whether one tutor covers all three or the weakest needs its own teacher.

Why should a Bhiwandi ICSE student keep the Group III project moving through Class 10?

The Group III subject, such as Computer Applications or Art, takes half its marks from internal work, split 50 : 50 with the exam. A child who keeps the project moving month by month secures those marks, while one who leaves it to the last term loses marks that were easy to earn.

Can my child change ISC subjects after starting Class 11?

Only until a cut-off date in the Class 11 registration year set by the ISC regulations; after that the subject list is fixed. No subject can be taken in Class 12 that was not studied in Class 11, so decide electives carefully before the term begins.

How should an ISC science student balance ISC and NEET or JEE work?

An ISC science student should ask the tutor for a one-page sheet pairing each ISC chapter with its NCERT match and due month. The tutor then adds NCERT wording and quick objective practice where ISC is light, while protecting long answers, practical records and projects.

Should an ICSE student in Bhiwandi move to the HSC after Class 10?

It depends on the child, and there are three routes: stay with ISC, move to CBSE, or join a state-board junior college for the HSC. ISC keeps long answers and deeper electives, while the HSC uses the board's own list and paper style. Decide before Class 11 begins.

How do ICSE tutors reach Ashok Nagar and Kaneri?

In Ashok Nagar, say ICSE or ISC first and write Ashok Nagar, Bhiwandi with the nearest road, as the name is common in other cities. Kaneri sits centrally around Kalyan Naka, which makes it easier for a senior-class specialist to reach; avoid the busiest hours on its main roads.

Does the ICSE second language need a separate tutor?

Sometimes it does, especially when the second language is not spoken at home. It is a Group I paper of 80 marks with 20 internal, and a child from an Urdu or Telugu home may be learning it almost from scratch. One weekly session with a language tutor often protects easy marks.
