Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Senior biology asks two opposite things of a Bhiwandi student. The board examiner, whether HSC, CBSE or ISC, wants full explanations with neat, labelled figures. NEET and the PCB group of MHT-CET want split-second recall and punish guessing. Junior college lectures and coaching classes in Bhiwandi can cover the chapters, but they rarely have time to test one student sentence by sentence, mark a long answer properly, or check that the practical record is up to date. That is where a home tutor earns their place. Send us the class, the board, any entrance plan and your locality. A shortlist of two or three biology tutors follows, fees included, and whichever tutor you pick starts with a free demo.
| Paper | How it is set | Habit to build |
|---|---|---|
| HSC Biology, subject 56 (State Board) | Theory and practical over Standards XI and XII; marks as in the board's current scheme | Answers in the board textbook's terms, written in the paper's language |
| CBSE Biology | Theory out of 70 and practical out of 30, in both Class 11 and Class 12 | Close NCERT reading and case-based questions |
| ISC Biology, Class 12 | Theory out of 70; practical, a project and a file make up 30 | Exact terms and careful drawings |
| NEET (UG), 2026 pattern | 90 of the 180 questions, from botany and zoology | Fast, exact recall; a wrong answer costs a mark |
| MHT-CET, PCB group | Set by the State CET Cell; pattern on cetcell.mahacet.org | Timed sets once the board chapters are secure |
| IB Biology or IGCSE | IB at SL or HL with a student-run investigation; IGCSE as Cambridge 0610 or Edexcel 4BI1 | The school's chosen course, followed precisely |
Up to Class 10, biology is part of science; our Bhiwandi science tutor page covers those years.
Biology is subject 56 on the State Board's HSC list, taken at a junior college, often alongside NEET or the PCB group of MHT-CET. In Bhiwandi many students learnt science in Urdu, Marathi or Hindi medium until Standard X, and Standard XI brings a great many English terms all at once. The HSC marks themselves are set out in the board's scheme on mahahsscboard.in, which we leave to the board.
Three things mark out a suitable tutor. They teach from the board's textbook and sample question papers, not from material written for CBSE. They are happy to explain in Urdu, Hindi or Marathi but insist that the final answer is written in the language of the paper. And they ask to see the journal within the first month. Other HSC subjects are covered on the Maharashtra Board home tutor in Bhiwandi page.
Each year has a 70-mark theory paper. Read the units by size rather than in textbook order, and the plan for tuition becomes obvious:
| Class | Units, largest first (marks) | Tutoring note |
|---|---|---|
| 11 | Human Physiology (18); Diversity of Living Organisms (15); Cell: Structure and Function (15); Plant Physiology (12); Structural Organisation in Plants and Animals (10) | Physiology recalled every week; the cell unit revisited before NEET |
| 12 | Genetics and Evolution (20); Reproduction (16); Biology and Human Welfare (12); Biotechnology (12); Ecology (10) | A few genetic crosses every week; reproduction drawn and labelled |
In Class 12, half the marks reward recall and understanding, 30% application and 20% analysis and evaluation. A short summer revision of the Class 11 cell and human physiology units pays off later in NEET.
The council divides theory, worth 70, into five units. Reproduction is the biggest at 16; Ecology and Genetics and Evolution carry 15 each; Biology and Human Welfare has 14; Biotechnology has 10. The remaining 30 are earned outside the theory paper: 15 for practical work, 10 for the project, 5 for the practical file. Nearly a third of the result therefore rests on work spread through the year. Because ISC examiners reward exact terminology and tidy drawings, the tutor should correct how an answer looks as strictly as what it says. Fewer Bhiwandi tutors have taught ISC recently, so mention the board at the outset; an online specialist may be the answer.
Half of it. The 2026 NEET (UG) paper set 180 multiple-choice questions, every one compulsory, for a total of 720: botany and zoology together supplied 90, physics 45 and chemistry 45. Four marks came with each correct answer and one was deducted for each wrong one, which makes careless guessing expensive. The syllabus is notified by the National Medical Commission, while NTA publishes each year's pattern on neet.nta.nic.in, so always work from the newest bulletin.
Three practice rules follow. Read NCERT line by line, figures and tables included; sit timed sets often; and record every wrong answer with the reason the wrong option looked right. The NEET home tutor in Bhiwandi page and our comparison of NEET coaching and home tutoring explain more.
The home tutor's job is to check and strengthen what has been taught, not to teach the chapter a second time. Each chapter can go through a simple cycle:
Every fourth lesson or so can go to the practical side. Keep all of it clear of college and batch timings.
Biology brings more new words than any other school science, and a Bhiwandi student who reasons in Urdu, Hindi or Marathi but answers in English has to learn every one of them twice over. These habits help:
Quite a lot. CBSE and ISC each put 30 marks on practical work, and HSC students follow the State Board's own practical rules. Microscopes stay at college, yet the written record and the thinking behind each experiment travel home easily. The tutor can check that every entry states its purpose, shows a clear figure and records what was seen; quiz the student on slides and specimens from printed or phone pictures; and ask the "why" behind each step, the way an examiner does at the viva. A short, regular slot for the record in each lesson beats a last-month scramble.
Each locality has its own tutor list on our Bhiwandi page. Six are summarised here.
| Locality | The place | How to direct a tutor | What to plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vanjar Patti Naka | A northern junction, older houses and newer apartment buildings | The spelling your neighbours use and a nearby landmark | A third, online session on days college runs late |
| Chavindra | The outer northern edge, an old gaon with newer colonies around it | Gaon or newer building, plus the nearest chowk | Fewer specialists nearby, so one visit and one online lesson a week |
| Gokul Nagar | A residential colony beside Vanjar Patti Naka | "Gokul Nagar, Bhiwandi" and the nearest naka | A fortnightly timed paper, reviewed in the next lesson |
| Nagaon | Closely built lanes along Nagaon Road | Building, floor and lane | Say "HSC Science, biology", as many local senior requests are for Commerce |
| Gaibi Nagar | A settled colony towards Kalyan Road | Lane and house, with Kalyan Road as reference | A longer weekend lesson for long answers and the record |
| Ashok Nagar | Apartments and older homes near Kalyan Road, with some CBSE and ICSE students | Always "Ashok Nagar, Bhiwandi" with the road | Name the board first, since CBSE, ISC and HSC biology answers differ |
More local advice is on the Vanjar Patti Naka and the North zone page, and the Bhiwandi home tuition guide covers the whole city.
At Standard XI and XII level, frequently yes. A tutor can sketch a nephron or a flower on a digital pen, the student can show a diagram straight to the webcam, and marking a past paper together on screen takes no special kit. Home visits still suit students who concentrate better with a person beside them, and parents who like to see the journal signed off on paper. Since tutors who know ISC, IB or NEET well may not live nearby, many families combine a weekly visit with a weekly video lesson; see online tutors for Bhiwandi. At the demo, check that the tutor asks what your child already knows, has your child draw and label something, and can say plainly how a board answer and a NEET item differ.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Rates are set by the tutors themselves and appear on your shortlist ahead of the demo. Useful questions: which board and which entrance exam have you prepared students for this year, and how would you share the week between them? Our Bhiwandi home tuition fees article suggests others.
Useful details: class and board; NEET, MHT-CET or neither; the chapters that worry your child; when college and any batch run; the language your child understands most easily; your locality; and your open hours. You will get two or three biology tutors with their fees. Should the first demo disappoint, another tutor from the list can give one, and a change of tutor mid-year costs nothing. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works). For the other senior sciences, see Bhiwandi's physics and chemistry pages; for IGCSE and IB detail, the national biology home tutor page; and nearer the metro, biology tutors in Mumbai.
Biology teachers who live in Bhiwandi can see current requests on the Bhiwandi tuition jobs page.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Bhiwandi biology tutors set their own rates, shown on the shortlist before the demo. Ask which board and entrance exam each has taught this year.
Send the class, board, any NEET or MHT-CET plan, the difficult chapters, college and batch timings, your child's easiest language, locality and free hours. NXTutors sends two or three biology tutors with fees, and the one you pick starts with a free demo. A later change of tutor costs nothing.
Look for a tutor who teaches from the State Board textbook and sample papers for Biology, subject 56, rather than CBSE material. The tutor may explain in Urdu, Hindi or Marathi, but should insist on final answers in the paper's language, and should ask to see the practical journal within the first month.
In Class 11, Human Physiology carries the most at 18 of 70, followed by Diversity of Living Organisms and Cell at 15 each. In Class 12, Genetics and Evolution leads with 20, then Reproduction with 16. A short summer revision of the Class 11 cell and physiology units helps later NEET work.
ISC Class 12 biology gives 70 marks to theory and 30 to work done through the year. Those 30 are 15 for practical work, 10 for the project and 5 for the practical file. In theory, Reproduction carries 16, Genetics and Evolution and Ecology 15 each, Human Welfare 14 and Biotechnology 10.
Biology supplied 90 of the 180 compulsory NEET (UG) questions in 2026, half the 720-mark paper. Each correct answer earned four marks and each wrong one lost one, so blind guessing is costly. The syllabus is notified by the National Medical Commission, and NTA publishes the pattern yearly on neet.nta.nic.in.
The tutor runs each chapter through three checks instead of reteaching it. First the student explains it aloud with the book shut, then writes two board-style long answers with labelled figures, and weeks later sits a timed objective set. Every fourth lesson or so can go to the practical record.
The student should say each new term aloud, explain it in the easiest language, and attach it to a small labelled sketch. Learning common roots and endings, such as -cyte or photo-, lets new words be worked out. A weekly self-test of a personal glossary keeps the vocabulary fresh.
Yes, much of the record and viva can be prepared at home, even though the lab stays at college. A tutor checks that each entry has an aim, a clear figure and observations, quizzes the student on slides and specimens from pictures, and asks the reasons behind each step, as an examiner would.
In Chavindra, on the outer edge where fewer specialists live, one home visit and one online lesson a week often works well. In Ashok Nagar, where CBSE, ISC and HSC students live side by side, name the board first and write "Ashok Nagar, Bhiwandi" with Kalyan Road so the tutor finds you.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
