What home tuition costs in Nashik

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

CBSE home tutors in Nashik: NCERT depth, board-style writing and a slot that lasts

In Nashik, CBSE is one of several boards in the same neighbourhoods, alongside the Maharashtra State Board, ICSE and ISC, and a tutor's experience may lie mostly with another of them. That is why a CBSE request needs to be specific: a tutor who knows the NCERT books line by line, writes answers the way CBSE marks them, and keeps up with the board's changes in Classes 9 and 10. This page covers what CBSE examines from Class 6 to Class 12, what is new in 2026-27, where students in each class usually slip, how a CBSE plan works next to JEE or NEET preparation, how tutors reach six Nashik localities, and what to ask in the free demo. Abhinandan Tiwary is named here for Class 10 CBSE maths and Aaditya Kashyap for CBSE science.

CBSE among Nashik's boards

Our Nashik tutors page lists the boards students in the city write: the Maharashtra State Board (SSC and HSC), CBSE, CISCE's ICSE and ISC, and a smaller number on IB or IGCSE, in Marathi or English medium. We do not publish shares and do not guess them.

The practical difference for a tutor is the source material. The State Board teaches from its own textbooks and sets its own question types; CBSE builds every paper on the NCERT books and publishes sample papers and marking schemes on cbseacademic.nic.in each year. A tutor who mostly teaches State Board students knows the science and maths, but may not drill CBSE's case-based questions or its step marking. A child moving between the two, in either direction, should spend the first weeks on the new board's textbook wording and answer layout before racing ahead. Our Maharashtra Board tutors in Nashik page describes the state route.

Classes 9 and 10 under the 2026-27 curriculum

  • Marks. Major subjects carry 80 marks for the written paper and 20 for internal assessment, and a student needs 33% in a subject to pass at Class 10.
  • Question style. About half of each secondary paper is competency-based: case and source passages, data, situations and applications rather than recall.
  • Common and Advanced papers. Class 9 students sit one common maths paper and one common science paper. Each may add an optional Advanced paper in either or both, worth 25 marks, built entirely of higher-order questions on extra content. Advanced marks stay outside the aggregate; 50% or more is noted on the marksheet.
  • Basic and Standard maths. This split is being phased out; the 2026-27 Class 10 batch is the last to finish under it.
  • Two board exams in Class 10. Everyone sits the first. A student who passes may return for the second to improve marks in up to three of science, maths, social science and the languages.
  • Third language. Compulsory in the transition years and assessed inside the school, with no board paper.

Treat the first Class 10 exam as the main event and the second as a safety net, not the plan. Choose Advanced only where your child is already at ease in the subject; an extra paper should stretch, not frighten.

Classes 11 and 12: how the marks divide

CBSE senior secondary subjects and their mark split, 2026-27
Subject (code)TheoryPractical or internal
Physics (042), Chemistry (043), Biology (044)7030 practical
Mathematics (041) or Applied Mathematics (241), one only8020 internal
Accountancy (055), Economics (030), Business Studies (054)8020 internal

Thirty practical marks in each science are easy to underrate. The tutor should ask to see the practical file every month and make sure readings, diagrams and conclusions are the student's own work. The Class 12 board paper covers the whole Class 12 syllabus, and the paper design arrives each year with the sample paper, so the tutor should be using the current one. Our guides on Class 12 physics, organic and inorganic chemistry and calculus and algebra help in the board year.

Where marks slip, class by class

Common CBSE slips and what tuition should do about them
ClassTypical slipTuition focus
6 to 8Fractions, negative numbers and careless reading of a science paragraphNumber sense and the habit of writing each step
9Algebra and geometry widen at once; science splits into three strandsChapter tests every fortnight; a decision on the Advanced paper
10Case-based questions answered from memory instead of the passageSample papers marked to the official scheme
11The jump in physics and maths, often as a batch beginsFoundations made firm before the board year
12Revision squeezed by entrance work; practical file left lateOne revision plan for both; the file checked monthly

For a Class 9 or 10 student, two shorter sessions a week usually achieve more than one long one at the weekend. Give each a fixed purpose. The first repairs whatever went wrong in the week's school tests: back to the NCERT explanation, then exemplar and competency questions on the same idea. The second is a writing session, where your child produces two or three board-style answers in full and the tutor marks them line by line for steps, units, diagrams and layout. If your child thinks in Marathi but writes the paper in English, the tutor can explain in Marathi and still insist on clear English in the written answer. Ask for a one-page note at the end of each month.

Maths and science: what the tutor should insist on

Maths (Abhinandan Tiwary's subject on this page). In CBSE maths, method marks matter as much as the final number. A Class 10 student should write every line of working, state the theorem or formula used, and draw and label figures in geometry. Weak spots in the middle years, especially fractions and early algebra, are the usual reason a student suddenly struggles in Class 9, so a tutor should test those first. See Class 10 maths, our Class 10 maths preparation guide and maths home tutors in Nashik.

Science (Aaditya Kashyap's subject on this page). NCERT wording is the safest wording in a CBSE answer, labelled diagrams earn marks on their own, and units belong on every numerical. Competency questions often describe an unfamiliar situation; the tutor should teach the student to find the concept inside it before writing. See Class 10 science, our Class 10 science notes and science home tutors in Nashik; for the senior classes, our Nashik physics, chemistry and biology pages.

Keeping board marks safe beside JEE or NEET

Careful NCERT work feeds both the CBSE paper and the entrance tests, which is the good news. The risk is that months of objective practice weaken written answers. A CBSE tutor working beside an entrance batch should do three things: list the NCERT chapters the batch rushed and return to them with board-style questions; set at least one fully written answer in every session, marked for steps, units and diagrams; and keep an eye on the practical file and internal work, which no batch checks. For the entrance side, see JEE home tutors in Nashik and NEET home tutors in Nashik.

How tutors reach six Nashik localities

  • Nashik Road side. In Deolali Gaon, tutors living around Nashik Road and Jail Road are nearest; book outside the morning and evening peaks near the station.
  • Mumbai Naka. Mumbai Naka is a central junction with a bus stand, so tutors can come by bus as well as by two-wheeler or auto; keep clear of the junction's rush hours.
  • Govind Nagar. In Govind Nagar, say where a two-wheeler can be parked near the shopping stretches.
  • Indira Nagar. Most visits in Indira Nagar are to flats; give the building, wing and floor in advance.
  • Satpur. In Satpur, plan around shift change near the industrial estate; tutors from CIDCO and Gangapur Road are not far.
  • Ambad. In Ambad, register the tutor at the gate and pick an hour away from shift-change traffic.

Zone pages: Nashik Road and Jail Road, Mumbai Naka to Pathardi Phata, CIDCO, Satpur and Ambad, Gangapur Road and College Road and Panchavati, Mhasrul and Adgaon. The Nashik home tuition guide has timing advice for each.

Home, online or a mix?

A tutor at the table suits younger children, students who drift on a screen, and subjects where every written line matters: maths, physics numericals, chemical equations and accountancy formats. Online suits a short doubt session on a batch day, a senior subject whose right tutor lives across the city, and any day when travel is difficult. Many families keep one tutor for both, with home visits for new work and online sessions for checks. The home versus online comparison and our online tutors for Nashik page explain the choice.

Questions for a CBSE tutor at the free demo

  1. "Which year's sample paper and marking scheme do you use?" It should be the current one from the CBSE academic site.
  2. "Walk my child through one case-based question." Watch whether they teach how to read the passage.
  3. "How would this answer differ for the State Board?" Useful if the tutor teaches both.
  4. "Should my child take the Advanced paper in Class 9?" A good answer depends on your child, not on a rule.
  5. "What will I get each month?" Chapters done, test scores and repeated errors on one page.

CBSE Home Tutor in Nashik (Classes 6–12): common questions

Do you have CBSE home tutors in every part of Nashik?

We take CBSE requests from all five zones, from Gangapur Road and College Road to Nashik Road and CIDCO, Satpur and Ambad. Tutors travel by road, so we look first for someone on your side of the city. If nobody suitable lives close, online lessons with a CBSE specialist fill the gap.

What changed in CBSE Classes 9 and 10 for 2026-27?

Class 9 students sit one common maths paper and one common science paper, with an optional 25-mark Advanced paper in either that stays outside the aggregate. The Basic and Standard maths split is being phased out. Class 10 now has two board exams: the first is compulsory, the second lets students improve up to three subjects.

How is a CBSE tutor different from a State Board tutor?

The content overlaps, but the books and marking do not. CBSE papers are built on NCERT and about half the secondary questions are competency-based, marked step by step. A tutor should use the current CBSE sample paper and marking scheme. A student switching boards needs a few weeks on the new textbook language first.

How are marks split in CBSE Class 12 science and commerce?

Under the 2026-27 senior curriculum, physics, chemistry and biology carry 70 theory and 30 practical marks. Mathematics or Applied Mathematics, accountancy, economics and business studies carry 80 theory and 20 internal. A tutor should check the practical file regularly, because those marks are easy to lose through late or rushed work.

Can a CBSE tutor work alongside JEE or NEET coaching in Nashik?

Yes, if the roles are clear. The tutor returns to NCERT chapters the batch rushed, sets at least one fully written board-style answer each session, and keeps the practical file and internal work on track. The batch handles entrance speed; the tutor protects board marks and written presentation.

How much does a CBSE home tutor cost in Nashik?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, which you see before the free demo.

How do I book a CBSE demo class in Nashik?

Send the class, subjects, locality with a landmark, medium and free slots. We match two or three CBSE tutors and show each fee before anything is booked. The first class is a free demo; ask the tutor to work through one case-based question. If it is not a fit, switching tutor later is free.
