Chemistry home tutor in Nashik: sort the reactions, steady the numericals, and keep the board paper in view

Chemistry is the subject where many Nashik students in Classes 11 and 12 feel they are always catching up. Organic reactions pile up faster than they can be learned, physical chemistry numericals go wrong on a unit, and the inorganic lines that NEET rewards slip away within weeks. Meanwhile the board paper, whether the HSC at junior college or CBSE or ISC at school, still expects written reasons and balanced equations. A home chemistry tutor can tie these together in one calm session a week. NXTutors suggests two or three chemistry tutors who match your child's syllabus and can reach your part of the city; you compare their fees before meeting anyone, and the first class is a free demo.

How big is chemistry in each exam a Nashik student may face?

Chemistry across the Class 12 board papers and entrance tests Nashik students sit, and what each rewards
ExamChemistry in itRewards
HSC, Maharashtra State BoardA board paper on the state textbook; scheme published by the boardWhat the current scheme on mahahsscboard.in describes
CBSE Class 12 (043)A 70-mark theory paper of 33 compulsory questions, plus a 30-mark practicalClear reasons, balanced equations and tidy numericals
NEET (UG), 202645 of 180 questions, carrying 180 of 720 marksQuick, exact recall of NCERT statements
JEE Main 2026, Paper 125 of 75 questions: 20 with options and 5 numerical-answerMechanisms and multi-stage physical problems
MHT-CETConducted by Maharashtra's State CET CellPattern and syllabus as listed on cetcell.mahacet.org

Both NTA exams in 2026 gave four marks for a correct answer and took one away for a wrong one, and NTA confirms the pattern afresh each year. Read more in the important NEET chemistry chapters, the JEE chemistry guide by branch and on the NEET chemistry tutor page.

What should a junior-college student on the State Board expect from a chemistry tutor?

State Board students usually study Standards XI and XII at a junior college and write the HSC set by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. The board issues its own chemistry syllabus, textbook and evaluation scheme and updates them from time to time; we leave the paper's details to its official website. Four points help a family judge a tutor:

  • Does the tutor work from the state textbook and the board's sample question papers?
  • If MHT-CET, NEET or JEE is on the list, can the tutor say which chapters need more depth than the board asks?
  • Will the tutor look over the practical journal and rehearse the reasoning behind each experiment?
  • For a student who moved from a Marathi-medium school, will technical terms be bridged into English early in Standard XI?

The Maharashtra Board tutor in Nashik page covers the state board across subjects.

Which CBSE Class 12 chemistry chapters carry the most marks?

CBSE fixes chemistry marks chapter by chapter, which makes a tutor's year easier to plan. With the paper's design unchanged from last session, the ten 2026-27 chapters sort into three bands:

CBSE Class 12 chemistry 2026-27: chapters grouped by marks, with the branch and the practice each band needs
BandChapters (marks)Practice for the band
8 or 9 marksElectrochemistry (9, physical); Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids (8, organic)Cell numericals with units throughout; named reactions written as chains
7 marksSolutions and Chemical Kinetics (physical); d- and f-Block Elements and Coordination Compounds (inorganic); Biomolecules (organic)Colligative and rate problems; trends with one reason each; naming and isomers; short structures
6 marksHaloalkanes and Haloarenes; Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers; Amines (all organic)Mechanisms step by step; distinguishing tests; basicity comparisons

By branch, organic chemistry totals 33 marks, physical 23 and inorganic 14. The paper has five lettered sections, some internal choice, and no calculator or log table. About two-fifths of it checks recall and understanding; the rest asks the student to apply, analyse or evaluate. A chapter-by-chapter guide is in our Class 12 organic and inorganic chemistry article, and the Class 12 chemistry tutor page shows a board-year plan.

Which topics have left the CBSE board paper, and do they still matter?

For 2026-27, the solid state and Groups 15 to 18 of the p-block are out of Class 12 entirely. Four more are still taught but assessed only in school, never on the board paper: surface chemistry, the isolation of elements, polymers, and chemistry in everyday life.

Entrance students should take care. NTA releases its own syllabi, and some material the board has dropped, including parts of the p-block, can still appear there. Use the board list for board revision only, and the official entrance list before deciding what to skip. The same caution applies to MHT-CET and its own published syllabus.

What should the tutor do differently in each branch?

The home session should follow what college or coaching taught this week, not run ahead of it, and give each branch the attention a large class cannot:

  • Physical chemistry, slowly. In solutions, electrochemistry and kinetics a student often knows the formula and loses the mark on a unit or a power of ten. Watch one or two problems solved line by line.
  • Organic chemistry, as a map. One sheet linking each functional group to the next, from alcohols through carbonyl compounds and acids to amines, redrawn from memory each week. Conversion questions then become routes rather than facts to cram.
  • Inorganic chemistry, word for word. NEET rewards the exact NCERT sentence. Short quizzes straight from the textbook, with the reason behind each trend, keep it fresh.

End each session with two board-style "give reasons" questions, corrected before the tutor leaves, so the written paper keeps pace with objective practice.

How much of the 30-mark CBSE practical can be prepared at home?

Titration and salt analysis carry 8 marks each, an experiment based on theory content 6, and the project and the record with viva 4 each. This session's titration uses permanganate against oxalic acid or Mohr's salt (ferrous ammonium sulphate), and each student weighs and prepares the standard solution personally.

Without glassware, a tutor can still rehearse the molarity working for the weighed sample, a neat table of burette readings leading to the result, the order of salt analysis from preliminary to confirmatory tests, a project the student can manage, and viva questions such as why no separate indicator is added with permanganate. HSC students can apply the same rehearsal to their own journal.

What changes for an evening chemistry class across six Nashik localities?

Six localities from the west, north, east and south-east of the city show the differences that matter for a regular evening session. See every area on the Nashik page.

Close to the preliminary exams, if a route turns unreliable, move one weekly visit online to protect the revision plan. The Nashik home tuition guide covers each zone in more depth.

Can you find a tutor for ISC, IB or IGCSE chemistry?

  • ISC: CISCE combines the theory paper with practical and project work, and strong answers explain more than a single NCERT-style line.
  • IB Diploma: at SL and HL, the course is organised under two themes, structure and reactivity. The scientific investigation must be shaped by the student; a tutor may ask questions about it, nothing more.
  • Cambridge IGCSE: science papers come in Core and Extended tiers; our Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE comparison explains the difference.

Teachers for these courses are fewer than for the HSC or CBSE, so ask early. If none can travel to you, pair an online specialist with a local tutor who marks written practice. And if your child is still in Class 11, this is the year to fix the mole concept, equilibrium and early organic chemistry, which return throughout Class 12; see the Class 11 chemistry tutor page.

What does a chemistry home tutor in Nashik cost?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor names their own rate, which tends to follow the exam targeted and the tutor's record with it, the evening trip to your locality and the number of sessions a week. Online lessons with the same tutor may be quoted differently. All fees are visible before the demo; the Nashik home tuition fees article explains what to ask.

What should you send us for a chemistry shortlist?

Send the class and board, the main exam, the branch that loses most marks, the days of college and coaching, your locality with a landmark, and the free evenings. You receive two or three chemistry tutors with fees and choose whom to meet at a free demo. A wrong first pick leads to a second demo, and switching tutor later costs nothing. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after our team has reviewed the ID (read how). If no suitable tutor can reach you, we propose an online or part-online arrangement. NXTutors has its office in Sector 66, Gurugram, and teaches online all over India; the national chemistry home tutor page explains how we match, and our biology and NEET pages for Nashik suit medical aspirants.

Chemistry Home Tutor in Nashik: common questions

How much does a chemistry home tutor in Nashik charge?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Chemistry tutors fix their own rates, and every fee on your shortlist is visible before the demo.

Do you find chemistry tutors for HSC students in Nashik?

Yes. We look for tutors who teach from the Maharashtra State Board textbook and sample papers and who will check the practical journal. Because the board updates its syllabus and evaluation scheme from time to time, take the current paper details from mahahsscboard.in before fixing a revision plan.

Which CBSE Class 12 chemistry chapters carry the most marks?

Electrochemistry leads with 9 marks, then aldehydes, ketones and carboxylic acids with 8. Solutions, kinetics, the d- and f-block, coordination compounds and biomolecules carry 7 each, and three organic chapters carry 6. By branch, organic totals 33, physical 23 and inorganic 14, so organic deserves the biggest share of the week.

Can we skip chapters the board has dropped if NEET or MHT-CET lies ahead?

Not without checking. NTA and the State CET Cell publish their own syllabi, and material the CBSE board has removed, such as parts of the p-block, may still be examined there. Use the board list for board revision and the official entrance list for everything else.

How should organic chemistry be revised?

As a map rather than a list. A single sheet linking functional groups, from alcohols through carbonyl compounds and acids to amines, redrawn from memory each week and checked against NCERT, turns conversion questions into routes. Pair it with two board-style reasoning questions at the end of each session.

What does the CBSE chemistry practical exam include?

Of its 30 marks, titration and salt analysis carry 8 each, an experiment based on theory content 6, and the project and the record with viva 4 each. This session's titration uses permanganate against oxalic acid or Mohr's salt, with a standard solution each student prepares.

Can a chemistry tutor come to a home in Adgaon or Makhmalabad?

Yes, if one on your shortlist can travel there at your hour. Many homes in both areas are houses on plots in newer colonies, so share a map pin, the colony name and a landmark before the demo. Online lessons fill the gap when no suitable tutor can travel.

Do you have tutors for ISC or IB chemistry in Nashik?

We can search, though such teachers are fewer than for HSC or CBSE, so ask early. ISC pairs theory with practical and project work, and IB chemistry is organised under structure and reactivity at SL and HL. An online specialist plus a local marker often works well.
