What home tuition costs in Nashik

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

ICSE and ISC home tutors in Nashik: long answers, three sciences and electives chosen early

The CISCE route asks a lot of writing. ICSE in Class 10 spreads a student across more separate papers than most parents expect, with English literature, three science papers and a group of subjects where internal work carries real weight. ISC in Classes 11 and 12 then cuts the number of subjects but deepens each one, and its rules on subject choice and promotion catch families who plan late. This page explains how the council organises both stages, which habits protect marks, how tutors travel to six Nashik localities, what to weigh after Class 10, and how to judge a tutor's CISCE style in the free demo. Abhinandan Tiwary is named on this page for ICSE maths, Aaditya Kashyap for the sciences and Ajay Vatsyayan for ISC maths.

Where CISCE fits among Nashik's boards

Our Nashik tutors page names the boards in the city: the Maharashtra State Board, CBSE, CISCE's ICSE and ISC, and a smaller group on IB or IGCSE. We do not publish shares. What matters to a family is the contrast. The State Board teaches from its own textbooks, in Marathi or English medium, and sets its own question types; CBSE builds on NCERT. ICSE expects longer answers in English across almost every subject, treats physics, chemistry and biology as three papers, and the council publishes examiner reports on common errors. A tutor who is strong on State Board papers should be able to show that they also mark to CISCE's expectations.

How ICSE arranges the Class 10 subjects

The council's regulations sort subjects into three groups, and the weighting between the final paper and internal assessment differs by group:

  • Group I, taken by everyone. English, a second language, and History, Civics and Geography. Final paper 80, internal 20.
  • Group II, two or three chosen. Options include Mathematics, Science, Economics, Commercial Studies, a modern foreign or classical language and Environmental Science. Again 80 and 20.
  • Group III, one chosen. Applied subjects such as Computer Applications, Economic Applications, Commercial Applications, Art, Physical Education, and Robotics and AI. Here the split is 50 and 50.

Because half the Group III marks come from internal work, it suits a student who keeps project work moving all year. A family that leaves the project to the final term often loses marks that were easy to earn earlier.

Maths and the three sciences

ICSE maths and science papers, from the CISCE regulations
SubjectWritten paperInternalWhat the tutor watches
MathematicsOne paper, 80 marks20, from at least two assignments, each marked by the school's teacher and an external examinerEvery step written; commercial maths such as banking and shares alongside algebra, geometry, trigonometry and statistics
PhysicsOwn paper, 80 marks20, practical workUnits, ray and circuit diagrams, numericals with reasoning
ChemistryOwn paper, 80 marks20, practical workBalanced equations, observations written precisely
BiologyOwn paper, 80 marks20, practical workLabelled diagrams and exact terms

Strength in one science does not carry the other two, so ask whether one tutor will take all three or whether the weakest paper needs a specialist. After each exam season CISCE releases a subject-wise Analysis of Pupil Performance showing where candidates lost marks; a good tutor uses it next to the specimen papers. For maths in depth, see our ICSE and ISC maths guide and maths home tutors in Nashik; for the sciences, science home tutors in Nashik.

Three habits that protect ICSE marks

  1. Revision in rounds. The syllabus is wide and runs over two years. Every few weeks, give one session to revisiting earlier chapters across the papers, so Class 9 work is still fresh in Class 10.
  2. Timed writing from Class 9. Speed in long answers grows slowly. A short timed answer in most sessions, marked line by line, builds it steadily; cramming it into the last term does not.
  3. A dated project list. Internal assignments and practical work are listed with deadlines and checked at the start of each month. The tutor explains; the student writes.

A well-run session opens by marking what the student attempted since the last visit, spends the middle on one new idea, and closes with a single full answer written under time pressure.

English deserves a plan of its own. The set literature texts take real reading time, and answers are judged on expression as well as content, so a student who reads the texts only in summary form tends to write thin answers. A tutor can set a chapter to read before each session, discuss it briefly, and ask for one paragraph that quotes and explains. Our English home tutors in Nashik page covers this.

ISC in Classes 11 and 12: the rules to plan around

ISC regulations and what they mean for a family
RuleWhat it means in practice
English plus three to five electives, six subjects at mostChoose electives for the stream your child wants, not to fill slots
No subject changes once 15 September of the Class 11 year has passed; nothing new can be started in Class 12Decide before the first term ends; there is no late switch
To move up to Class 12: 35% in four subjects, English among them, and 75% attendanceClass 11 is not a gap year; weak subjects need help early
Practical exams compulsory where a subject has them; Physics not combined with Engineering ScienceKeep practical files current all year
Grades run 1 to 9; to pass, a student needs four subjects with English among them, as well as Socially Useful Productive Work and Community ServiceThe non-exam requirements count too

ISC Mathematics has an 80-mark theory paper and 20 marks of project work in each year; our ISC maths tutor page covers it, and Ajay Vatsyayan's role on this page is ISC maths.

Stage by stage on the CISCE route

Classes 6 to 8

School exams only. Build full-sentence answers, stepwise maths and correct use of science vocabulary now, while the stakes are low.

Class 9

The two-year ICSE syllabus begins. Start revision rounds at once, and practise diagrams and written working every week.

Class 10

Specimen papers and examiner reports, timed and taken paper by paper, plus internal work finished on schedule.

Class 11

Electives chosen with care before the September lock, the jump in depth tackled early, and the promotion rules kept in view.

Class 12

Depth in each elective, practicals and projects kept on time, and, for science students, the board paper balanced against any entrance plan.

After Class 10: ISC, CBSE or the State Board's HSC?

Three paths are open to a Nashik student leaving ICSE. ISC is the least disruptive in style, but every elective becomes far more demanding, and practical and project work expands. CBSE in Class 11 means NCERT textbooks, CBSE's yearly sample papers and its own split between theory and practical marks, with shorter, textbook-led answers. A State Board junior college means the HSC textbooks and question types of the Maharashtra board, so read its notices on mahahsscboard.in first. Whatever the choice, the weeks after the Class 10 exams suit a bridging plan: early chapters of the new course, practice in its question format and, for science, an unhurried first look at Class 11 mechanics and algebra. ISC subject choices close in September, so settle the decision before term starts. Compare our CBSE tutors in Nashik and Maharashtra Board tutors in Nashik pages, and the stream choice guide. For entrance plans, see JEE and NEET home tutors in Nashik.

How ICSE tutors reach six Nashik localities

Getting a CISCE tutor to your door
LocalityPractical note
UpnagarTutors from Nashik Road and Jail Road are nearest; avoid the evening build-up on roads towards Nashik Road
Mumbai NakaCentral and served by a bus stand, so tutors from many parts of the city can reach it
Indira NagarMostly flats; share the wing and floor and agree where the tutor parks
Pathardi PhataName your side of the highway junction; a map pin helps for an independent house
CIDCO (New Nashik)Give the colony or sector and a landmark; the township has many similar roads
AmbadRegister the tutor at the gate; choose an hour clear of shift change

ICSE and ISC elective specialists are fewer than general tutors, so many families keep a home tutor for maths and add online sessions for one elective or literature. Online works for written subjects when the tutor sees the work live through a writing tablet, shared whiteboard or a camera over the notebook; see online tutors for Nashik. Zone pages: Nashik Road and Jail Road, Mumbai Naka to Pathardi Phata, CIDCO, Satpur and Ambad, Gangapur Road and College Road and Panchavati, Mhasrul and Adgaon.

Testing a tutor against the CISCE style

  • Which specimen paper and which year's examiner report will they teach from? Vague answers are a warning.
  • In maths, do they insist on working, units and a properly stated final answer, or accept a bare number?
  • Can they move from a physics numerical to a biology diagram, with labels, inside one session?
  • When your child writes an answer, do they fix the sentences too, or only the science?
  • For ISC, how will they support a project or practical file while leaving the writing to your child?

Your shortlist has two or three tutors, each fee shown before the demo, and changing tutor later is free. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after our team has reviewed the ID (how we check).

Fees and getting started

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. For ICSE and ISC, the class, the number of papers, the time left before the exam and the tutor's ride to you shape the figure. See the pricing guide and home tuition fees in Nashik.

ICSE Home Tutor in Nashik (ICSE & ISC, Classes 6–12): common questions

Whether we live in CIDCO, Upnagar or Pathardi Phata, can a CISCE tutor reach our Nashik home?

NXTutors takes ICSE and ISC requests from all five Nashik zones, including CIDCO, Upnagar and Pathardi Phata, and looks first for a tutor on your side. Tutors travel by road. ISC elective specialists are fewer, so a local maths tutor plus online sessions for one elective or literature is a common, workable arrangement.

Which subjects fall in Groups I, II and III for a Nashik ICSE Class 10 student?

A Nashik ICSE Class 10 student takes Group I compulsorily: English, a second language, and History, Civics and Geography. Two or three Group II subjects such as Mathematics or Science follow, plus one Group III applied subject such as Computer Applications. Groups I and II split 80 final and 20 internal; Group III splits 50 and 50.

With three separate ICSE science papers, is one Nashik tutor enough or should the weakest get a specialist?

A Nashik ICSE student sits physics, chemistry and biology as three separate papers, each with an 80-mark written paper and 20 internal practical marks. Strength in one does not carry the others, so ask whether one tutor covers all three or the weakest needs a specialist. The tutor should use specimen papers and examiner reports.

By what date in Class 11 must a Nashik ISC student lock in electives?

A Nashik ISC student must finalise subjects by 15 September of the Class 11 year, and nothing new can be taken up in Class 12. English is compulsory, with three to five electives and six subjects at most. Settle the choice before the first term ends, with the intended stream in mind.

What can stop a Nashik ISC Class 11 student from moving up to Class 12?

A Nashik ISC Class 11 student needs 35% in four subjects, English among them, plus 75% attendance to move up to Class 12. Practical exams are compulsory where a subject has them. Class 11 needs steady work, so a tutor helps most by catching a weak subject in the first term.

How much should a Nashik family expect to pay hourly for an ICSE or ISC tutor at home?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. For ICSE and ISC in Nashik, the class, number of papers, time left before the exam and the tutor's ride shape the figure. Each fee is shown before the free demo.

What do I tell NXTutors to arrange a CISCE trial class in Nashik, and what should I test?

To arrange a CISCE trial in Nashik, tell us ICSE or ISC, the class, subjects, locality and free slots. We match two or three tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, so request a short physics problem and a labelled biology diagram. Switching tutor later is free.

For an ISC elective, should a Nashik student keep a home tutor or learn online?

Many Nashik ISC families keep a home tutor for maths and add online sessions for one elective or literature, because CISCE elective specialists are fewer. Online works for written subjects when the tutor sees the work live through a writing tablet, shared whiteboard or a camera over the notebook. Younger students usually need the tutor in the room.

Leaving ICSE after Class 10 in Nashik, how do ISC, CBSE and the State Board's HSC compare?

A Nashik student leaving ICSE can choose ISC, CBSE or a State Board junior college; ISC is closest in style, but every elective grows far more demanding. CBSE means NCERT books and shorter textbook-led answers, while the HSC follows Maharashtra board textbooks, so read mahahsscboard.in notices. Use the post-exam weeks for a bridging plan.

Which study habits keep a Nashik ICSE student's marks safe across two years of syllabus?

Three habits protect a Nashik ICSE student's marks: revision in rounds, timed writing from Class 9, and a dated list of projects and practicals. Every few weeks one session revisits earlier chapters, most sessions include one timed answer marked line by line, and internal work deadlines are checked monthly.

How does a Nashik tutor help with ICSE English literature beyond reading summaries?

A Nashik ICSE English tutor sets a chapter of the literature text to read before each session, discusses it briefly, and asks for one paragraph that quotes and explains. Answers are judged on expression as well as content, so students who read only summaries tend to write thin answers.
