Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Nashik is spread out. A tutor living off Gangapur Road and a family in Upnagar or Deolali Gaon are on opposite sides of the city, and a weekly evening ride across it is the first commitment to slip when school gets busy. Some subjects also have very few specialists in any one city. Online tuition solves both problems for many students, and creates a few of its own for others. This guide from the NXTutors Academic Team explains when an online tutor is the better choice for a Nashik student, when a home tutor still wins, how online lessons are arranged through NXTutors, what your child needs at the desk, how to judge an online lesson, and how to combine online sessions with home visits from the same person.
The eastern side around Nashik Road, Jail Road and Upnagar is a long way from the western apartment corridor of Gangapur Road and College Road, and the CIDCO, Satpur and Ambad belt sits apart again in the south-west. Our zone guides advise families on the Nashik Road side to start with tutors who live there, because a daily ride from the western suburbs is hard to sustain for a full year. If the teacher your child needs lives on the other side, online lets you keep them without asking anyone to make that ride.
IB, IGCSE, ISC electives and entrance-level physics or maths have few specialists in any single city, and Nashik's own city page notes that the closest IB or IGCSE specialist may well be online. Online widens the choice to the whole country. Our national IB maths and IGCSE maths pages explain what such a specialist should know.
Families near the Satpur and Ambad industrial estates see roads fill at shift change as well as in the evening; junctions at Mumbai Naka and Pathardi Phata slow down at the morning and evening peaks. If the only hour your child is free is a busy one on the roads, a screen removes the problem.
Class 11 and 12 students often have junior college, a batch and travel back to back. A focused online session late in the evening is realistic; a home visit at that hour usually is not. See our JEE and NEET pages for Nashik on fitting a tutor around a batch.
Online is a tool, not a rule. Five situations argue for someone at the table, at least to begin with:
Each of these can change. Once a younger child settles into a routine, or a board-changer has caught up, moving online is often straightforward.
| Case | Format to try first | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Primary-age child, suitable tutor in the same zone | Home | Close supervision; the tutor's ride is short |
| Standard IX or X on the State Board, or Class 9 or 10 on CBSE or ICSE | Online or a mix | More board specialists to choose from and no evening ride |
| Junior-college student with a batch | Screen on weekdays, a visit at the weekend | Late weekday hours suit online; weekend roads are calmer |
| IB, IGCSE or an ISC elective | Online | Few specialists in any one city |
| Family near Nashik Road, chosen tutor in the western suburbs | Online, or a mix | A weekly cross-city ride rarely lasts the year |
| New colony in Makhmalabad or Adgaon that is hard to find | Both | Start online while the first visits are worked out |
| Any home arrangement | Home, with a standing online back-up | A day when travel is hard keeps its lesson |
The home tutor or online tutor article sets out each trade-off in turn.
There are three ways in. On the home page, the search box has a Home tutor, Online and Either switch; pick Online, or simply include the word online in what you type, for instance "online HSC chemistry Class 12", and tutors from other cities are no longer filtered out by distance. On the Find Tutors page, set the mode to online and narrow the list by subject, board, class, maximum fee, experience, rating or the tutor's gender. If you are undecided, Either lets the shortlist mix a nearby tutor for some visits with online tutors from elsewhere.
When you ask for a demo, the form has a Mode field: set it to online and add the class, board and times that suit you. We reply with two or three tutors and each one's fee. The first class is a free, real lesson on screen, and the tutor and your family settle the video platform and the way written work will be shared. If the match is wrong we line up the next tutor, and a later switch is also free.
Online names can also turn up when you searched for home tuition. A Nashik locality page shows tutors in that locality first, then the wider zone, then the city, and then those who teach online, and each card states where the tutor is based. So an online tutor on your list usually means the specialist you want does not live within easy reach. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after our team has reviewed the ID (how we check). The demo is still the place to judge the teaching.
| Item | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Laptop or tablet rather than a phone | Graphs, ledgers and long derivations need a screen large enough to read |
| A second camera on the notebook, or a stylus tablet | The tutor follows each line of working as it is written |
| A whiteboard or document both sides can edit | Saved afterwards, it doubles as revision notes |
| Headset with a microphone | Household sounds stay out of the lesson |
| A well-lit table in a common room, door open | Better focus, and a parent can look in |
| A hotspot and a charged spare device | A dropped connection or power cut need not end the session |
Check every item in the free demo. If the tutor cannot follow your child's working, solve that before paying for a single session. More practical advice is in our online versus offline tutoring article.
In the demo and the first weeks, listen for who is doing the thinking. A good online tutor asks more than they tell, stops a wrong step with a question, and keeps your child writing. Cameras stay on throughout. The practice comes from your child's own school tests, the board's sample or past papers and the coaching sheet, not from a generic worksheet. At the end there is a short written record of the work done and the practice set. If the tutor spends the session presenting slides while your child watches, that is a lecture, not tuition. Our demo class checklist suggests further questions.
Mixed arrangements are common, and they work well when each format has a clear job. A few patterns that suit Nashik:
Whatever the mix, keep the same tutor if you can; continuity counts for more than the format.
Simple house rules cover most risks. Hold lessons on a shared family device in a common room rather than on a phone in a closed bedroom. Have links and messages go to a parent's number or to a group that includes a parent. Keep both cameras on and decline any request to move to a private chat app. Stay within earshot for younger children, at least for the first few weeks, and share nothing personal beyond what the lesson needs.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Without the ride, some tutors quote a different rate for screen sessions; a sought-after specialist may not. Class, board, subject and sessions per week move the figure more than the format does. Fees are shown before the demo; see home tuition fees in Nashik and the pricing guide.
Tell us the class, board and subjects, whether you want online only or home plus online, your locality with a landmark if visits are part of the plan, and the evenings that work. To see who teaches near you first, open a locality page such as Mumbai Naka, Govind Nagar, Indira Nagar, Pathardi Phata, CIDCO or Satpur; each lists nearby tutors first and then online options. The Nashik home tuition guide covers every zone.
Book a free demo class, browse online tutors, or start from the Nashik home tutors page with its five zones. Board pages for Nashik: Maharashtra Board, CBSE and ICSE and ISC. Teachers can see Nashik tuition jobs.
When the right tutor lives on the far side of the city, such as the western suburbs for a family near Nashik Road; when your child needs a narrow specialist such as IB, IGCSE or an ISC elective; or when the only free hour falls in busy road traffic. Online lets you choose on teaching quality.
Pick Online on the home page search switch, or include the word online in your search with the subject and class, and tutors from other cities stop being filtered out by distance. On Find Tutors, set the mode to online and narrow by board, class, maximum fee, experience, rating or the tutor's gender.
Yes. Set the Mode field on the demo request to online and add the class, board and suitable times. We reply with two or three tutors and their fees, and the first class with your chosen tutor is a free, real lesson on screen, using a video platform you and the tutor agree.
A laptop or tablet rather than a phone, a headset, and a second camera aimed at the notebook or a stylus tablet so the tutor sees each line of working. A whiteboard both sides can edit, a well-lit table in a common room and a hotspot for dropped connections complete the set-up.
Yes, and it works well when each format has a clear job. One pattern is a weekend visit for new chapters and written practice, with short weekday screen sessions for doubts. Another keeps visits through term and goes online in exam weeks or when travel is hard. Keep the same tutor across both.
Mostly not, at least at first. In the early primary years, reading, letter formation and counting on paper go better with an adult at the table who can see the pencil. Brief screen sessions with a parent close by can support reading practice, and a child can move online later once a study routine is in place.
Sometimes. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Without the ride a tutor may quote differently, though specialists often charge alike.
