What home tuition costs in Jalgaon

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

ICSE and ISC home tutor in Jalgaon: long answers, internal work and the right subject choices

Jalgaon has CISCE schools alongside State Board and CBSE ones, but a tutor who teaches the council's books week in, week out may not live in your colony. That makes the search more deliberate. This page explains how the ICSE groups its Class 10 subjects, what the maths and science papers and their internal marks expect, the ISC rules that bite in Class 11, the choice many families face after Class 10, and how to find a CISCE tutor who can reach Mahabal, Yashwant Nagar, Kanchan Nagar or the western colonies, with online lessons filling the gaps.

The three ICSE subject groups

Under the council's ICSE regulations, a Class 10 student's subjects fall into three groups, and the split between exam and internal marks differs by group:

ICSE Class 10 subjects by group
GroupContentsWritten paper : internalTutor's angle
I, compulsoryEnglish and a second language, plus History, Civics & Geography80 : 20Long written answers, map work, steady reading
II, two or three subjectsChoices such as Mathematics, Science, Economics, Commercial Studies or Environmental Science80 : 20The bulk of tuition requests, maths and science above all
III, one subjectAn applied subject, for example Computer Applications, Economic Applications or Art50 : 50Projects kept on schedule; half the marks are internal

The Group III subject is the easiest place to win or lose marks quietly. Half of it is internal work done through the year. A tutor who checks that project work is moving each month protects marks that need effort, not brilliance.

Maths and the three sciences: the paper and the internal part

ICSE Mathematics has a single 80-mark paper. The other 20 marks come from assignments, at least two of them, which the school's teacher and an external examiner both assess. Banking and shares sit in the commercial arithmetic part of the course, beside algebra, geometry, trigonometry and statistics. Examiners look for every stage of working, so a correct final line with steps missing still loses marks.

Physics, Chemistry and Biology are three separate 80-mark papers, each with 20 marks of internal practical assessment. Strength in one does not carry the others. So ask at the start: can this tutor teach all three sciences properly, or does the weakest one need a separate teacher? The council publishes specimen papers and a subject-wise Analysis of Pupil Performance, and a CISCE tutor should be using both.

Our maths, physics, chemistry and biology pages for Jalgaon go subject by subject.

Writing the way CISCE papers reward

CISCE papers lean on full written answers in English across subjects, from history and geography to biology. A child who knows the content but writes two lines where six were needed will lose marks steadily. Three habits help:

  • Answer to the marks. A four-mark question needs four clear points or steps. The tutor should mark practice against that, not against "roughly right".
  • Diagrams and labels. In biology, physics and geography, a neat labelled diagram often carries marks of its own.
  • Reading aloud. For a child whose home language is Marathi, Hindi or another language, reading answers aloud to the tutor exposes unclear English quickly.

Our English home tutors in Jalgaon page covers the English subject itself.

An ICSE Class 10 year, planned in four parts

Class 10 is easier to manage when the year is split into parts with a clear job each. The outline below is a pattern, not a timetable; your school's own calendar sets the dates.

Four parts of the ICSE Class 10 year
PartMain workTutor's job
Opening monthsNew chapters in every subject; internal assignments setKeep pace in maths and the weakest science; agree a project calendar
Middle of the yearSchool terminal examsMark terminal papers as an examiner would and list the weak chapters
Before the preliminary examsSyllabus finished; internal work submittedSpecimen papers under timed conditions; long answers rewritten
Final stretchRevision for the council's papersShort sessions on weak chapters only; no new material

Jalgaon's hot season runs from March to mid-June, so agree early-morning or online slots for those months with the tutor well before they arrive, whether your child is finishing Class 10 or starting Class 11.

ISC in Classes 11 and 12: the rules to know in advance

The ISC regulations are stricter about subject choice than many families expect, so read them before Class 11 starts rather than after. Every student takes English. Alongside it go between three and five electives, and the total can never pass six. The choice is not open for long: once the date fixed in the regulations for the Class 11 registration year has passed, the subjects stay as they are, and a Class 12 subject has to be one the student also studied in Class 11.

Promotion to Class 12 depends on two things: at least 35% in four subjects, English being one of them, and attendance of 75%. Any subject with a practical component must have its practical done; there is no opting out. One pairing is not allowed at all: Physics with Engineering Science. On the final certificate each subject gets a grade on a scale of 1 to 9, and passing needs four subjects with English among them, together with Socially Useful Productive Work and Community Service.

For maths, the ISC splits each year into a theory paper worth 80 and project work worth 20, so the project deserves a place in the tutor's plan from the first term. More on this is on our ISC maths page and in our guide to ICSE and ISC maths.

After Class 10: ISC, a State Board junior college, or CBSE

The months after the ICSE results bring a real choice for Jalgaon families: stay with CISCE for the ISC, move to a Maharashtra Board junior college for the HSC, or join a CBSE school. Each move changes what a tutor must do.

What changes for an ICSE student after Class 10
RouteWhat stays familiarWhat the tutor works on first
ISCThe council's style of long written answersSubject choices before they lock, and project work from the start
HSC (Maharashtra Board)Much of the science and maths contentThe board's own textbooks and answer pattern; see our Maharashtra Board page

Science students planning for entrance tests should map the ISC or HSC chapter order against the entrance plan in the first month; see the JEE and NEET pages for Jalgaon, and our guide to choosing a board and stream.

Finding a CISCE tutor in Jalgaon

If no CISCE tutor lives close by, widen the search in a planned way rather than waiting for one to turn up next door:

  1. Ask first for a home tutor within your own group of colonies; the zone pages show which colonies sit together.
  2. If none fits, accept one from a neighbouring zone for the subject that most needs a person at the table, usually maths or physics.
  3. Take the remaining subjects online with a CISCE specialist, who may teach from Pune, Mumbai or further away.

One home subject and one or two online is a workable mix. Our online tuition in Jalgaon page explains how to set it up, and the national ICSE page for Gurgaon goes deeper into the council's rules.

ICSE tutors for six Jalgaon localities

  • Mahabal. State Board, CBSE and ICSE children all live here, so write "ICSE" in the first line. Tutors from Adarsh Nagar and Samata Nagar reach most homes easily.
  • Adarsh Nagar. English help is a frequent request; one tutor for English and history can suit Group I well.
  • Yashwant Nagar. Many families have younger children; for Classes 6 to 8 a shorter session three days a week often works better than a daily one.
  • Kanchan Nagar. Agree the number of sessions, length and missed-class rules in writing before the first month.
  • Ayodhya Nagar. If a parent works shifts, ask the tutor to note each lesson in the notebook so anyone at home can follow.
  • Dadawadi. On the western side, plan the summer timetable early; lessons often move to early morning in the hot months.

See the zone pages for Mahabal and Yashwant Nagar, Mehrun and Tambapura and Pimprala and Khote Nagar, the full Jalgaon home tutors page, and our Jalgaon home tuition guide.

Checking a tutor against the CISCE style

  1. Ask which ICSE or ISC specimen paper they used most recently, and for which subject.
  2. Give them a four-mark answer your child wrote. Do they mark it point by point, the way an examiner would?
  3. Ask how they would keep Group III project work or ISC project work on schedule.
  4. For Class 10, ask what they think about the move after the results; a good tutor will discuss it without pushing.
  5. Check the slot they can keep all year, and whether they will take one subject online if travel becomes hard.

If the demo does not suit, we arrange another, and switching tutor later is free. The demo class checklist suggests more questions.

Fees and the next step

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own rates, and you see each one before booking, so you can weigh fit and fee together. See the pricing guide and our Jalgaon tuition fees post.

Send the class, "ICSE" or "ISC", the subjects, your colony with a landmark and your free slots. You get two or three matched tutors to compare, and the first class with any of them is a free demo. Anyone who joins as a tutor goes through an ID check, and the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how it works). ICSE Home Tutor in Jalgaon (ICSE & ISC, Classes 6–12): common questions

Where can we find an ICSE or ISC tutor in Jalgaon if none lives in our colony?

Start with your own group of colonies, then accept a tutor from a neighbouring zone for the subject that most needs a person at the table, usually maths or physics. Take the remaining subjects online with a CISCE specialist. We send two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.

What do ICSE and ISC home tutors in Jalgaon charge?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. ICSE and ISC tutors in Jalgaon set their own fees, and each is shown before the demo, so you can weigh fit and cost together.

How are ICSE Class 10 subjects grouped, for a student in Jalgaon?

For a Jalgaon student, ICSE Class 10 subjects fall into three groups, each marked differently. Group I is compulsory: English, a second language, and History, Civics and Geography. Group II takes two or three subjects such as Mathematics or Science, marked 80 for the paper and 20 internal. Group III is one applied subject, split evenly between paper and internal work.

How is ICSE Mathematics marked, including the internal assignments?

ICSE Mathematics has one 80-mark paper and 20 internal marks from at least two assignments, assessed by the school teacher and an external examiner. Examiners look for every stage of working, so missing steps lose marks even with a correct answer. A Jalgaon tutor should mark practice the same way.

Which ISC subject rules should a Jalgaon family know before Class 11 begins?

English is compulsory, with three to five electives and no more than six subjects. After a date set in the Class 11 registration year, subjects cannot be changed, and a Class 12 subject must also have been studied in Class 11. Physics cannot be combined with Engineering Science, so choose carefully.

What does an ISC student in Jalgaon need to move up to Class 12?

An ISC student needs at least 35% in four subjects, English among them, and 75% attendance to move up to Class 12. Practicals are compulsory wherever a subject has them. A tutor can watch the weakest of those four subjects from the first term, rather than at the end of Class 11.

Should a Jalgaon ICSE student stay with ISC or move to the HSC after Class 10?

Neither route suits everyone; it depends on the subjects, entrance plans and which college suits your child. Staying with ISC keeps the familiar written style, while the HSC brings new textbooks and a different answer pattern. Whichever you choose, ask the tutor to spend the first weeks on the new paper style.

How can a tutor help an ICSE student in Jalgaon write fuller answers?

A tutor can teach your child to answer to the marks: four clear points for a four-mark question, with labelled diagrams in science and geography. Reading answers aloud exposes unclear English quickly. The council's specimen papers and Analysis of Pupil Performance reports show what examiners reward.

How do we request ICSE tutors for Mahabal, Yashwant Nagar or Ayodhya Nagar?

Send the class, "ICSE" or "ISC", the subjects, your colony with a landmark and your free slots. We share two or three matched tutors, each fee visible before the free demo. If a parent works shifts, as some do near the industrial area, ask for a written note of each lesson in the notebook.

Can a Jalgaon ICSE student take one science at home and another online?

Yes, and it is often the most practical arrangement in Jalgaon. Keep the science that needs worked problems, usually physics, with a tutor at home, and take chemistry or biology online with a CISCE specialist. Make sure both tutors know the internal practical deadlines, so the work is spread across the year.
