Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Ask a Standard XI student in Jalgaon what is hardest about physics, and the answer is rarely the theory. It is the numericals: the problem that looked easy in the lecture and stalls at home on line two. Junior college sets one pace, an entrance course another, and nobody has time to watch one student's pen. That is the home tutor's work: sitting beside your child, spotting the exact line where a sign flipped or a formula was chosen for the wrong reason, and checking a week later that it has not happened again. Share the board, the entrance plan and your colony; NXTutors suggests two or three physics tutors who suit, fees shown first, and the opening class is a free demo.
First, which paper matters most this term: the board exam, or an entrance test such as MHT-CET, JEE Main or NEET. Both can be served, but not equally in every month, and the answer changes the homework. Second, the language of the paper. A student who studied in Marathi medium up to the SSC and now reads physics in English needs a tutor who can explain in Marathi, or even Khandeshi, while making every written answer match the exam. Third, the slot. Senior students often get home late from junior college or a coaching batch, so pick an hour that is free of both and will stay free all year.

An entrance syllabus may still include a chapter that a board has removed, so never drop a topic until you have checked the current NTA bulletin. How we match tutors for each test is explained on the Jalgaon JEE and NEET pages, and the JEE physics tutor page sets out which chapters deserve the most time.
Standards XI and XII on the State Board are normally spent at a junior college. The board recognises Marathi-medium and English-medium schools alike, and students who change medium after Standard X often say the hardest part is reading a long numerical in a language they have not used for science before. A helpful tutor does three things here:
We do not copy the HSC physics marks onto this page; the current scheme on mahahsscboard.in has them. Other subjects of the board are on our Maharashtra Board home tutor in Jalgaon page.
The 2026-27 sample paper follows last session's design, and its weighting is lopsided. Electricity and magnetism, from electrostatics through current, magnetic effects and induction to alternating current, carry 33 of the 70 theory marks on their own. Electromagnetic waves and optics carry 18; dual nature, atoms and nuclei 12; and semiconductor electronics 7, now limited to diodes since transistors and logic gates have left the course. So a year plan that gives electricity and magnetism roughly half its weeks is simply following the paper.
The paper climbs a ladder of marks. Sixteen one-mark questions come first, twelve multiple-choice and four assertion–reason; then five of two marks, seven of three, two case studies of four, and three long answers of five. Around 38% of the marks are for recall, which leaves most of the paper to application. Our Class 12 physics strategies article lists the derivations worth rehearsing, and the Class 12 physics tutor page lays out the board year.
Yes, for the parts that are about understanding and writing. CBSE splits its 30 practical marks into two experiments worth 14 together, a record worth 5, one activity worth 3, an investigatory project worth 3 and a viva worth 5. Its record must hold at least eight experiments and six activities, shared evenly between the two sections, along with the project report. State Board students follow their own board's practical rules.
At home, a tutor checks each record entry for aim, diagram, observation table and result; asks why a reading was repeated or which way an error would push the answer; and runs a short practice viva before the exam. A record written week by week is far less stressful than one finished in a rush.
Standard XII physics leans on tools first met in Standard XI, and gaps there spread quietly. A tutor's early months are well spent on a short list of basics:
A mistakes notebook helps throughout: the question, the original attempt, one line on what went wrong and a fresh solution a few days later. Bring it to the demo. See the Class 11 physics tutor page and our stream choice guide, which helps families still deciding after Class 10.
Physics lessons for senior students usually happen after dark, so directions need to be clear and the slot needs to survive college timetables. Tutors for every locality are on our Jalgaon page.
In Navi Peth many families run a business near home, so set the lesson after closing time with a firm end, and guide the tutor by the shop beside your door. Jilha Peth, near the middle of the city, can draw tutors from several colonies, which widens the choice of evening slots; give the building, floor and chowk.
Shivaji Nagar lies across the railway line from the old peths, so tell the tutor which side you are on and whether to come by the Shivaji Nagar bridge. In Vidyut Colony both parents often work; agree who will be home during the lesson, and ask for a short message afterwards on what was covered.
Both are large, so add the smaller colony name and a map pin. Ramanand Nagar families often keep home tuition for core subjects and add an online class with an outside specialist. In Pimprala, where many families face the stream decision after Class 10, a few trial physics sessions can show whether science suits your child.
When college runs late, move that evening online with the same tutor. The Navi Peth and the Old Peths and Pimprala and Khote Nagar zone guides, and our Jalgaon home tuition guide, have more.
ISC students are assessed by CISCE on practical work and a project as well as the written paper, and the examiner wants every step of reasoning shown; make sure the tutor uses your exam year's syllabus. In the IB Diploma, physics is organised in five lettered themes, the exams count for 80% and the student's own investigation for the other 20%; our IB physics SL and HL guide explains it. Cambridge IGCSE physics is entered at Core or Extended, and students joining an Indian board after it usually need support with vectors and graphs. Specialists for these courses are scarce in Jalgaon, so online lessons are common.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors decide their own rates. Before choosing, it is fair to ask which papers a tutor has prepared students for, whether they can come after junior-college hours, and whether a busy week could switch to an online class. Every fee is listed on the shortlist ahead of any demo; our Jalgaon home tuition fees guide suggests other questions.
Tell us the standard and board, the test your child is aiming for, the junior-college and coaching hours, your colony and a landmark, and which evenings are open. A shortlist of two or three physics tutors arrives with fees, and one of them gives a free demo. If it does not click, a second tutor gives another demo, and changing tutor later in the year costs nothing. When no one suitable can reach you at your hour, we propose an online or blended plan. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works). NXTutors works from Sector 66, Gurugram, and online classes cover all of India. Physics teachers who live in Jalgaon can find students near home through the Jalgaon tuition jobs page.

NXTutors needs the standard, board, target test, junior-college and coaching hours, your colony with a landmark and the free evenings. We send two or three physics tutors with fees, and you choose one for a free demo. If no suitable tutor can come at your hour, we suggest an online or blended plan instead.
Many Jalgaon students find numericals harder because a lecture shows the method once, while home practice exposes every small error in units, signs and formula choice. Students who change from Marathi to English medium after the SSC also have to read long problems in a new language. A tutor watching each line fixes this fastest.
Jalgaon families should read the HSC physics marking scheme on the Maharashtra State Board's own site, mahahsscboard.in, because the board sets and updates it. This page does not copy those marks. A tutor should work from the board's prescribed textbook and sample question papers, and keep the practical journal current from the first term.
Electricity and magnetism, from electrostatics to alternating current, carry 33 of the 70 theory marks in the 2026-27 CBSE Class 12 physics paper. Optics and electromagnetic waves bring 18, modern physics 12 and semiconductors 7. A Jalgaon student can sensibly give electricity and magnetism roughly half of the year's physics weeks.
The CBSE physics practical is worth 30 marks: two experiments 14, the record 5, an activity 3, the investigatory project 3 and the viva 5. The record needs at least eight experiments and six activities. A Jalgaon tutor can check record entries, rehearse sources of error and hold a practice viva at home.
JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 had 25 physics questions, five needing a numerical answer, while NEET (UG) 2026 had 45 physics questions out of 180. Both tests gave four marks for a right answer and took one for a wrong one. Jalgaon students should confirm the next pattern in the latest NTA bulletin before planning.
A Jalgaon student should secure vectors, graph reading, units on every line and free-body diagrams in Standard XI. These tools return in almost every Standard XII chapter, and gaps spread quietly. Keeping a mistakes notebook with the original attempt and a fresh solution a few days later helps a tutor see progress clearly.
Yes, evening physics lessons work in both if directions are clear. In Shivaji Nagar, across the railway line, say which side you live on and whether to use the Shivaji Nagar bridge. In Vidyut Colony, where both parents often work, agree who opens the door and ask for a short message after each class.
Online physics tuition often makes sense for ISC or IB students in Jalgaon because specialists for these courses are scarce locally. ISC assesses practical work and a project beside the written paper, and IB physics counts exams at 80% and the student's own investigation at 20%. Check that the tutor uses your exam year's syllabus.
