NEET home tutors in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula

NEET asks for two quite different kinds of tutoring. Biology, half the paper, is won by exact recall of the NCERT text, checked little and often. Physics is won by slow, watched problem-solving. In the tricity, where a tutor may have to cross Housing Board Chowk or the Zirakpur highway to reach you, matching each subject to the right format decides whether the plan survives the year. This page covers that split, the four tricity zones, what students on the Punjab and Haryana boards should add to their reading, plans by stage, and how to run a mock at home. The exam itself and the NCERT-first method are explained on our national NEET home tutor guide. Written by the NXTutors Academic Team.

NEET (UG) in short

In the NTA's 2026 bulletin, NEET (UG) was one pen-and-paper sitting from 2 pm to 5 pm: 180 multiple-choice questions in 180 minutes, 45 in physics, 45 in chemistry and 90 in biology, for 720 marks. A right answer earns four marks and a wrong one costs one. If totals tie, biology marks are compared first. The syllabus is notified by the National Medical Commission, with ten biology units split evenly between the Class 11 and Class 12 NCERT books. Confirm the current year's details on neet.nta.nic.in before planning around any of them.

Biology checks online, physics at the table

Which format suits each NEET subject in the tricity
WorkFormatReason
Biology recall: closed-book questions, diagrams from memoryOnline, 30 to 40 minutes, two or three times a weekShort and frequent; no one drives across the Margs for half an hour of questions
Physics concepts and numericalsAt home, 75 to 90 minutes, once or twice a weekThe tutor needs to see how a problem is set up on paper
Physical chemistryAt home, often in the same visit as physicsNumerical method, like physics
Inorganic and organic recallOnlineLine-by-line NCERT checks travel well on a screen
Mock reviewWeekend, either formatWeekend mornings are quiet on Madhya Marg

Splitting the week this way often wins a stronger physics tutor, because the tutor makes the journey only when being in the room matters. Our NEET physics tutor page shows how a physics session runs, and the NCERT-first biology guide explains what a recall check should test.

Fitting a tutor around coaching days

Where a student already attends coaching, the tutor's job is not to repeat the lecture but to deal with what it leaves behind: the physics questions marked as stuck, biology lines that did not stick, and the last test's wrong answers. In practice that means placing the long physics visit on a day without coaching, ideally starting before the evening return rush on Madhya Marg and Dakshin Marg, and putting short online biology checks on coaching evenings, when nobody should be on the road. Share the coaching days when you send a request and we shortlist tutors whose own week fits.

Take an illustrative Class 12 student in a Zirakpur society, comfortable in biology, losing marks in physics and in inorganic chemistry, with coaching on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. A week that respects both the subjects and the highway might look like this:

An illustrative tricity NEET week (coaching Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
WhenWhat happens
Monday and Wednesday, after coachingOnline, 30 minutes: inorganic recall straight from the NCERT chapter
Tuesday, late afternoon, at homePhysics with a tutor from Panchkula or the southern sectors, before the highway fills
ThursdaySelf-study: the week's biology reading and a short timed MCQ set
Saturday, 2 pm to 5 pmFull mock on paper
Sunday morning, onlineMock review, every wrong and blank answer sorted by cause

In the first-phase sectors, where tutors often live a few streets away, the same student could take two shorter home physics sessions instead. The geography changes the format, not the goal.

When tricity families usually begin

  • Between Class 10 results and Class 11. A good moment to confirm the subject choice and, for a student switching board, to start the Class 11 NCERT biology book.
  • Early in Class 11. When school and coaching first feel heavy together; one subject tutor set up early stops gaps from piling up.
  • After a move across the state line. A change of board often comes with a change of town; begin with a diagnostic session.
  • Class 12, after the first few mocks. Once the pattern of lost marks is clear enough to target one subject.

NEET tuition zone by zone

What tends to work for NEET students in each tricity zone
ZoneExample areasWhat tends to work
Sectors 1 to 30Sector 16, Sector 27Doorstep visits; near the Sector 16 stadium agree a parking spot at the first visit, or choose a tutor who comes by bus and auto
Sectors 31 to 56 and ManimajraSector 33, Sector 40Sector 40 lies on the Mohali side, which widens the physics pool; give the block and flat number for housing-board homes
MohaliMohali Phase 7, AerocityPhase 7 borders Sector 52, so southern-sector tutors reach it easily; Aerocity has fewer local tutors, so plan hybrid
Panchkula and ZirakpurMansa Devi Complex, ZirakpurDuring Navratra, temple crowds fill the roads around MDC, so move home sessions earlier or online in those weeks

PSEB, BSEH, CBSE and the NCERT text

Tricity students reach NEET from several boards: CBSE and CISCE schools in all three towns, the Punjab School Education Board on the Mohali side, and the Board of School Education Haryana in Panchkula. The board shapes two things, eligibility paperwork and how far school teaching matches the NCERT wording that NEET questions follow.

  • Subjects first. The 2026 bulletin required physics, chemistry, biology or biotechnology, and English in Class 12. Keep all four when choosing Class 11 subjects, and check the bulletin's list of qualifying examinations.
  • State-board students. PSEB and BSEH use their own textbooks and papers. Read the NCERT biology and chemistry books alongside them, and ask the tutor to mark where the school text differs in order or detail. Check board syllabi only on the boards' own websites.
  • CBSE students. School already follows NCERT, so the tutor's work is depth, recall accuracy and speed.
  • ISC students. The science overlaps heavily, but NEET's figures and phrasing come from NCERT, so build that reading into the week.

School-side help is on our biology, physics and chemistry tutor pages for the tricity.

Class 11, Class 12 and a repeat year

Class 11

Five biology units come from the Class 11 book. Set up weekly recall checks from the first chapter, keep mechanics secure in physics, and for PSEB or BSEH students, start the NCERT reading habit now rather than in Class 12. One or two sessions a week is usually enough.

Class 12

New chapters, Class 11 revision and the board exam all compete. Schedule biology revision passes in advance, keep timed physics practice going, and switch to the board's own style of written answers in the weeks before pre-boards. Three to five shorter sessions across subjects is common.

A repeat year

The 2026 bulletin set a minimum age and no upper limit; check the current one. Begin with last year's mocks: which subject lost most, and was it knowledge, speed or guessing? Daytime home sessions are easy to keep here, since the Margs are quieter outside office hours.

A NEET mock at home, run like the real one

  1. Sit it on a weekend from 2 pm to 5 pm, the 2026 exam's own hours.
  2. Use paper and a separate answer grid; filling it takes time worth practising.
  3. No breaks and no phone in the room.
  4. Score four for each right answer and minus one for each wrong one; note blanks and the minutes spent per subject.
  5. Send a photo of the answer sheet to the tutor so the Sunday session starts with the review, not supervision.

That last step saves a tutor a cross-tricity drive just to watch a paper being written. Physics-heavy errors can then be handled at home and biology ones online.

Judging a NEET tutor at the demo

  • For biology, ask the tutor to quiz your child on a chapter just read. Gaps should show within minutes.
  • For physics, bring two stuck questions and see whether the tutor guides rather than solves.
  • Ask how negative marking should change the attempt plan, and how many questions and minutes NEET has.
  • For a state-board student, ask how the tutor will use NCERT alongside the school textbook.
  • Ask for a one-month plan and how mock scores will be tracked.

You receive two or three matched tutors, the first lesson is a free demo, and switching later is free. Tutors who join go through an ID check; you can also browse tutor profiles.

NEET tutor fees in the tricity

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, shown before the demo. Because biology checks work well online, a mixed plan usually costs less each month than all-home visits. See the tricity fees guide and our pricing guide.

NEET Home Tutor in Chandigarh (Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula): common questions

Do you have NEET home tutors across the Chandigarh tricity?

Yes. We match NEET tutors in Chandigarh's sectors, Mohali's phases and Aerocity, Panchkula, Mansa Devi Complex and Zirakpur. With no metro running, we look at road time at your slot. In Aerocity, where fewer tutors live so far, a hybrid plan with online sessions usually brings in a stronger subject specialist.

Should NEET biology tuition be online or at home in the tricity?

Biology recall checks suit online sessions: they are short, frequent and need nobody on Madhya Marg at peak hours. Physics benefits from a tutor at the table watching the working. A common tricity pattern is two or three online biology checks a week and one longer home physics session on a day without coaching.

My child is in a PSEB or Haryana board school. Can they prepare well for NEET?

Yes. NEET questions follow NCERT wording and figures, so read the NCERT biology and chemistry books alongside the school textbook from Class 11. A tutor can mark where the board's text differs. The 2026 bulletin required physics, chemistry, biology or biotechnology, and English in Class 12; check its qualifying-examination list.

How should we run NEET mocks at home?

Sit them on a weekend from 2 pm to 5 pm, the 2026 exam's hours, on paper with a separate answer sheet and no breaks. Score four for a right answer and minus one for a wrong one, note blanks and minutes per subject, then send the sheet to the tutor before the review.

What happens to home sessions near Mansa Devi Complex during Navratra?

Temple crowds fill the roads around the sectors during Navratra weeks, so move home sessions earlier in the day or switch them online for that period. Biology recall checks lose nothing online, and a physics lesson can run with a camera over the notebook until the roads clear.

How much does a NEET home tutor cost in Chandigarh?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour, with NEET toward the upper end. Tutors set their own fee and you see it before the demo. Because biology checks work well online, a mixed plan usually costs less each month than all sessions at home.

Is the NEET demo class free?

Yes. You receive two or three matched tutors and a free demo with the one you choose. For biology, ask the tutor to test a chapter your child has just read; for physics, bring questions that would not come out. If it does not fit, we arrange the next demo, and later switching is free.
