Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Senior physics asks a student in Loni to hold several things at once: the board paper with its derivations and ray diagrams, a 30-mark practical, and for some, an entrance test with negative marking. Many Intermediate students here write the UP Board paper in Hindi; others follow CBSE in English or are preparing for JEE or NEET. What helps most is one adult who reads your child's own working, finds the line where it slipped and checks that the slip does not return. We shortlist two or three physics tutors who know the board, the medium and the target exam, and who can get to your colony; their fees are listed before you meet, and lesson one is a free demo.
The same chapters turn up in every paper, yet each one hands out marks for different things. Decide which paper leads this term, because it decides what the tutor sets as weekly practice.
| Paper | Shape | Marking | Weekly practice |
|---|---|---|---|
| UP Board Intermediate physics | Theory 70 in Part A and Part B, practical 30 | Pass marks of 23 and 10, each part separately | Full written derivations and the practical record |
| CBSE Class 12 physics (042) | Theory 70, 33 compulsory questions; practical 30 | Written answers, constants supplied, no calculator | Diagrams, derivations and case-based questions |
| JEE Main Paper 1 (as set in 2026) | Physics has 25 questions, five of them needing a typed number | Four marks gained per correct answer, one lost per wrong one | Long chains of reasoning, and a written review of each miss |
| NEET (UG) (as set in 2026) | Physics is 45 questions, a quarter of the 720-mark pen-and-paper test | The same four-for-right, one-off-for-wrong rule | Exact NCERT facts, and leaving a question rather than guessing |
NTA, not the school board, decides what an entrance test covers, and a chapter one board has removed may still be examined there; read the latest bulletin on nta.ac.in before dropping anything. For priorities, use our topic-wise JEE physics plan and the post on high-yield NEET physics chapters. Matching for each exam is explained on the Loni JEE home tutor and NEET home tutor pages.
In the 2026-27 Intermediate syllabus, the 70 theory marks sit in two halves of 35, Part A and Part B, and a practical exam adds 30. Optics is the biggest single unit, but Part A's chain of electric and magnetic chapters is worth far more taken together:
| Part A unit | Marks | Part B unit | Marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Electrostatics | 8 | Optics | 13 |
| Magnetic effect of current; magnetism | 8 | Atoms and nuclei | 8 |
| Electromagnetic induction; alternating current | 8 | Electronic devices | 8 |
| Current electricity | 7 | Dual nature of radiation and matter | 6 |
| Electromagnetic waves | 4 |
The board's model paper gives a reading period, then three hours for 70 marks across five sections, and it is printed in Hindi. In Rampark and the colonies around it, many Intermediate students write physics in Hindi, so the tutor should explain derivations and numericals in the language of the paper. A student who moved to English medium in Class 11 needs the reverse: the idea first in Hindi if that helps, then every written line in English. Take practice from the model papers and question bank on upmsp.edu.in, and see our UP Board tutors in Loni page for the other subjects.
Class 11 is built the same way, with 70 theory marks across Parts A and B in a three-hour paper and 30 more for practicals. Part A is mechanics in all but name: laws of motion, work–energy–power, rigid bodies with systems of particles, and gravitation take 7 marks apiece, kinematics 6, and measurement a single mark. In Part B, bulk matter and oscillations with waves earn 10 each, thermodynamics 9 and kinetic theory 6.
Vectors, graphs and force diagrams learnt now return in nearly every senior chapter and entrance question, so a term spent on mechanics now is far cheaper than a rescue later. Families at this point can read the Class 11 physics tutor page and our guide to choosing a stream, especially in Indrapuri, where many requests come from teenagers choosing a stream.
The 2026-27 sample paper repeats last session's design. Everything electric and magnetic, electrostatics through to AC, is worth 33 of the 70 theory marks; optics plus electromagnetic waves 18; modern physics (dual nature, atoms, nuclei) 12; and semiconductors just 7. Notes that still teach transistors or logic gates are outdated, because both topics have gone.
Sections A to E hold 33 questions. A starts with 16 single-mark items, of which 4 are assertion–reason; B has 5 two-markers, C has 7 three-markers, D two case studies at 4 marks, and E three long answers at 5. Recall earns about 38% of the marks. Constants come printed on the paper, and no calculator may be used. For the derivations that recur, read our Class 12 physics strategies; the Class 12 physics tutor page shows how we plan the board year.
Yes, though the equipment never leaves school. Under CBSE, two experiments earn 14 of the 30, record and viva 5 apiece, and one activity plus the investigatory project 3 apiece. In the record file go a minimum of eight experiments and six activities, split evenly across the two sections, and the project report. The UP Board's practical is also worth 30, with its own pass mark of 10, so it cannot be left to the last month.
At home the tutor can read each record entry in the week it is written, talk through what could make a reading unreliable, and run a short mock viva. Why repeat a reading? What does the slope of this graph mean? Which way should the galvanometer needle move?
The layout of a solution says a lot about progress. Ask the tutor to insist on the same four steps until they happen without thought:
A mistakes notebook helps: copy the question, leave the failed try untouched, note in one line what went wrong, and solve it cleanly again later in the week. Take this notebook, or a pair of recent school tests, to the free demo. A good tutor reads a few pages and points to the shaky step before starting anything fresh.
Senior students often finish school, then self-study or a class, so physics lessons tend to fall later in the day. Whether a slot holds depends on how easily the tutor finds you. Find tutors by locality on our Loni page.
| Colony | Setting | Address detail | Tip |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lal Bagh | Against the Delhi border, with Loni Road through it and smaller pockets inside | Pocket, gali and house number; the lanes are narrow and alike | Tutors from either side of the border can come, so the choice is wide |
| Balram Nagar | A pocket inside the larger Lal Bagh area | Balram Nagar, then Lal Bagh, then gali; add NH-709B or the 100 Feet Road | A school-holiday morning gives room for a long written test |
| Indrapuri | A long-settled colony near Rampark and Jawahar Nagar | "Indrapuri, Loni", never just Indrapuri, to avoid confusion with Indirapuram | Two or three longer sessions a week suit a senior timetable |
| Jawahar Nagar | At Loni Border beside NH-709B | "Loni Border Jawahar Nagar" and a phone map pin | Weekday evenings fill fast; a two-hour weekend block helps in the board year |
| Rampark | Central Loni and the tehsil headquarters | Rampark or Rampark Extension, with a shop or park | Two longer weekly sessions and a weekend test fit Class 12 |
| Khanna Nagar | Inner lanes set back from the main road | Gali and house number, and a nearby shop | The quieter lanes suit a later lesson |
If an evening falls through, move it online with the same tutor. The Indrapuri and Jawahar Nagar zone page has more local advice.
Teachers for these courses are fewer near Loni, so name the course in your first message; an online specialist can cover the syllabus while a nearby tutor checks practice.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their rate. When comparing, ask which paper they taught most recently (UP Board, CBSE, JEE Main or NEET), how late they can come, and whether some lessons can move online. Fees appear before the demo; the Loni home tuition fees guide has more.
Tell us the class, board and medium, whether the goal is the board paper, JEE or NEET, your colony and a landmark, and your free evenings. You get two or three physics tutors with fees and pick one to meet at the free demo; if it does not click, another demo follows, and a later change of tutor is free. When no one suitable can manage your hour, we propose online or mixed lessons. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works).

Part A's electric and magnetic units add up to 35 of the 70 theory marks. Electrostatics, magnetic effect of current with magnetism, and induction with AC bring 8 each, current electricity 7 and electromagnetic waves 4. In Part B, optics is the largest single unit at 13 marks.
A Rampark student should write physics answers in the medium of the paper they will sit. The UP Board model paper is printed in Hindi, and many Intermediate students here answer in Hindi. A student who moved to English medium in Class 11 can hear an idea in Hindi but should write every line in English.
Class 11 physics on the UP Board is mostly mechanics, and those ideas return through Class 12 and every entrance test. Laws of motion, work and energy, rigid bodies and gravitation carry 7 marks each in Part A. A term spent on vectors and force diagrams now saves a rescue in the board year.
Under CBSE, two experiments earn 14 of the 30 practical marks, the record and the viva 5 each, and an activity and the investigatory project 3 each. The record needs at least eight experiments and six activities. A home tutor can check entries weekly and run a short mock viva.
In the 2026 papers, JEE Main Paper 1 had 25 physics questions, five needing a typed number, and NEET (UG) had 45 physics questions out of 180. Both gave four marks for a right answer and took one away for a wrong one. Check the next pattern on nta.ac.in.
Evening physics lessons are practical in Lal Bagh and Balram Nagar if the address is clear. Give the pocket, gali and house number in Lal Bagh, where lanes look alike. In Balram Nagar, write Balram Nagar, then Lal Bagh, and add NH-709B or the 100 Feet Road.
A Loni physics tutor should expect the same four steps in every answer the student writes. First a figure, then the law named in words, then units carried through each substituted line, and finally a check of the answer's sign and size. A mistakes notebook with a clean re-solve later in the week makes the routine stick.
A student in Loni can get ISC or IB physics help, though fewer local teachers take these courses, so name the course in your first message. ISC adds practical work and a project; IB papers count for 80% and an independent investigation for 20%. An online specialist can teach while a nearby tutor checks practice.
