Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Loni sits right on the Delhi border, and that shapes maths tuition more than most parents expect. In one lane a child writes the UP Board High School paper in Hindi; next door a cousin studies for CBSE in English at a school across the border; a third family has just moved from Delhi and changed board halfway through. Before anyone teaches a single chapter, NXTutors asks for the class, the board, the language of the answer sheet and your colony. We then suggest two or three maths tutors who fit all four. Each tutor's fee is on the shortlist before you meet, and the first class with the tutor you pick is a free demo.
Two named authors stand behind the exam notes here. Ajay Vatsyayan is responsible for the ISC, IB and IGCSE maths sections; Abhinandan Tiwary is responsible for Class 10 maths on CBSE and ICSE. Everything about the UP Board comes from the syllabus files and model papers the board itself publishes on upmsp.edu.in. Find the row for your child and keep the last column for the first phone call with a tutor.
| Paper | Set by | How the marks are built | Put this to the tutor |
|---|---|---|---|
| High School, Class 10 | UP Board (UPMSP) | Written paper 70; school assessment, including project work, 30 | Which two units will you secure first? |
| Intermediate, Classes 11 and 12 | UP Board | One written paper of 100 each year, with no school share | How will you train my child for the long, eight-mark parts? |
| CBSE Class 10 (Standard or Basic); CBSE Class 12 | CBSE | Board paper 80; the school marks the other 20 | Standard or Basic for my child: what evidence would you use? |
| ICSE (Class 10); ISC (Class 12) | CISCE | Paper of 80; internal or project work 20 | Which exam year is your syllabus copy for? |
| IB Diploma or Cambridge IGCSE | IB or Cambridge | IB papers plus an exploration; IGCSE entered at Core or Extended | How recently have you taught this course? |
UP Board is the common name for the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, founded in 1921 at Prayagraj; its first examination came two years later, in 1923. It prescribes the courses for, and conducts, the High School exam after Class 10 and the Intermediate exam after Class 12. Its 2026-27 Class 10 maths syllabus gives 70 marks to the written paper and 30 to the school's own assessment, which includes project work. A pass needs 23 in the paper and 10 in the school part, counted separately. This is how the 70 are shared, with the habit each unit should build at home:
| Unit | Marks | Habit to build at home |
|---|---|---|
| Algebra | 18 | Read the word problem twice, write "let x be…" in a full line, and only then form the equation |
| Trigonometry | 12 | A labelled right triangle for every question; in heights and distances the syllabus uses only 30°, 45° and 60° and no more than two triangles |
| Geometry | 10 | Each statement followed by its reason in brackets, as a marker expects |
| Mensuration | 10 | The unit written with every number, so a cone on a cylinder keeps its final mark |
| Statistics and probability | 10 | Grouped-data tables drawn with a ruler and each column totalled before any mean or median |
| Number systems | 5 | HCF, LCM and short proofs written to the last line |
| Coordinate geometry | 5 | Formula, substitution, simplification: the same three lines every time |
Algebra and trigonometry alone hold 30 of the 70, so give them the early months; the small units then separate a good result from a very good one. Class 9 uses the same 70-and-30 frame, which makes it the right year to repair fractions, signs and basic equations before the certificate year begins. Our UP Board tutors in Loni page covers the board's other subjects.
The board's Class 10 maths model paper begins with a reading period. Section A then sets twenty one-mark multiple-choice questions, answered by darkening circles on an OMR sheet, and the instructions rule out cutting, an eraser or whitener. One careless circle cannot be taken back. Section B carries the remaining 50 marks in five questions, and each question states how many of its parts must be attempted.
So the halves need separate drills. In Section A, your child solves each item in rough and shades only after a check, with a timed set of twenty every other week and every wrong option talked through. In Section B, the skill lies in picking the parts that suit you and writing them out fully. Practise from the UPMSP website's own model papers and question bank; a guidebook made for another board trains the wrong layout.
After High School the school share disappears. Each year closes with one written paper out of 100, and the unit weights tell a tutor where the months should go:
The Class 12 model paper sets nine questions, none optional, and each one states how many of its parts to attempt. The parts climb from single-mark options to eight-mark answers, and the long ones pay the student who shows every step. A sound routine is one full long answer each week, marked against the model paper's layout. In Rampark and the colonies around it many Intermediate students write in Hindi, so the tutor should explain the derivation in the language of the paper. Check any change to the scheme, and every exam date, on upmsp.edu.in alone.
Families in the colonies along the border sometimes change school when they move house, and the move can mean a new board and a new medium at the same moment. The chapters may look familiar while the marking, the textbook terms and the layout of the paper are not. Three steps make the change easier:
Many children in the border colonies study for CBSE. Its 2026-27 Class 10 paper keeps last session's design, and the 80 board marks lean on algebra (20) and geometry (15), with trigonometry at 12, statistics and probability at 11, mensuration at 10, and 6 each for real numbers and coordinate geometry. Twenty one-mark items open the paper, two of them assertion–reason; the longer answers follow, and three four-mark case studies close it. Calculators stay outside, and π is 22/7 unless stated. Basic and Standard differ in depth: about three-quarters of Basic marks reward recall and understanding, near 54% in Standard, so keep Standard if Class 11 maths is possible. An optional second Class 10 sitting can now lift up to three subjects, maths included; cbse.gov.in alone gives its dates. See the CBSE Class 10 maths preparation guide and our Class 10 maths tutor page.
In CBSE Class 12, 38 compulsory questions make up the 80 marks, and calculus holds 35 of them. The 2026 JEE Main Paper 1 gave maths 25 questions, five of them asking for a typed number, at +4 for a correct answer and −1 for a wrong one; check the next pattern on jeemain.nta.nic.in. Read the Class 12 calculus and algebra guide and the topic-wise JEE maths plan, or open Class 12 maths tutors and JEE home tutors in Loni.
Fewer Loni teachers take these courses, so mention the course in your very first message. An online specialist can teach the syllabus while a nearby tutor checks practice in between.
These six run from the planned blocks on Loni Road, through Loni Border, to the town centre. Many lanes look alike, so send the right detail early. Compare tutors by locality on our Loni page.
| Colony | How the address is usually given | Send in advance |
|---|---|---|
| Ankur Vihar | A planned township on Loni Road against the Delhi border, laid out in lettered blocks | Block letter, house or flat number and the nearest corner park, because the blocks look alike |
| Lal Bagh | Often written Lalbag Colony; smaller pockets such as Shanti Nagar sit inside it, with Loni Road running through | Pocket name, gali number and house number; tell the tutor if your child changed board after a move from Delhi |
| Indrapuri | A long-settled colony near Lal Bagh, Jawahar Nagar and Rampark | Write "Indrapuri, Loni", so nobody heads to Indirapuram in Ghaziabad by mistake |
| Jawahar Nagar | The colony at Loni Border beside NH-709B, where the road enters Uttar Pradesh from Delhi | "Loni Border Jawahar Nagar" in full, a phone map pin, and a weekend slot if weekday evenings are taken |
| Rampark | Central Loni and the tehsil headquarters; Halwa Road is the usual reference | Rampark or Rampark Extension, the gali number and a shop or park nearby |
| Khanna Nagar | A colony near Rampark and Budh Nagar, where the Nagar Palika Parishad office stands | Gali and house number, a shop as landmark, and fixed weekdays for lessons |
The zone pages for Ankur Vihar and Lal Bagh, Indrapuri and Jawahar Nagar and Rampark and Khanna Nagar add local tips, and the Loni home tuition guide also covers Behta Hajipur, Tronica City and Mandola.
Quite a lot. Instead of a polished sample lesson, hand over this week's school chapter and the last marked test. Then notice whether the tutor:
Not right? Another tutor from the shortlist gives a demo, and changing tutor later is free as well. The demo class checklist for parents lists more questions.
At the same desk a tutor spots a wrong sign as it is written, which helps younger children, geometry and anyone changing medium. Online lessons suit an ISC or IB specialist who lives elsewhere and the crowded evenings of a board year. Tutors from the Delhi side and the Loni side can both reach the border colonies, so home visits there are usually easy to arrange. Many families mix one visit with one online lesson a week; see the home tutor or online tutor article and our online tutors for Loni page.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees, and each fee is on your shortlist before the demo. Beyond the rate, ask how many lessons a week the tutor advises, whether homework is marked between visits, and whether exam weeks can move online. The Loni home tuition fees guide has more to ask.
A short message works if it covers five things: the class; the course by name (UP Board High School or Intermediate, CBSE Standard or Basic, ICSE, ISC, IB or IGCSE); the medium of the answer sheet; your colony with a landmark; and the hours that are free after school. Two or three maths tutors come back with their fees, and you choose who takes the free demo. If nobody suitable can reach you at that hour, we say so and suggest online or mixed lessons. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works).
NXTutors works from Sector 66, Gurugram, and teaches online across India; the national maths home tutor page explains how matching works. Families close to the border can also compare maths tutors in Ghaziabad and maths tutors in Delhi. Within Loni, see our physics and science pages. Maths teachers who live here can find families nearby on the Loni tuition jobs page; joining is free.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Loni maths tutors set their own rates. Ask each one how many lessons a week they advise, whether homework is marked between visits, and whether exam weeks can move online.
NXTutors needs the class, the course by name, the medium of the answer sheet, your colony with a landmark and the free hours after school. We then send two or three matched maths tutors, each with the fee shown in advance. The first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
Algebra and trigonometry carry the most, with 18 and 12 of the 70 written marks in the 2026-27 syllabus. Geometry, mensuration, and statistics with probability bring 10 each, while number systems and coordinate geometry add 5 each. A Loni tutor should secure the two large units early and keep the small ones regular.
Solve every OMR question in rough first and shade a circle only after checking it. The model paper sets twenty one-mark items on the OMR sheet, and cutting, erasers and whitener are not allowed. A timed set of twenty every other week, with each wrong choice discussed, builds the habit before the exam.
UP Board Class 12 maths is one written paper of 100, with calculus alone worth 44 marks. Vectors and 3D geometry bring 18 and algebra 15. All nine model-paper questions are compulsory, rising to eight-mark parts, so students in Rampark, many writing in Hindi, should practise one full long answer every week.
A maths tutor can lay the old chapter list beside the new board's syllabus and teach only the real gaps first. If the medium changes too, a two-column term list helps, and every written answer should follow the new paper's layout from week one. Name the old and the new board when you ask us.
Writing "Indrapuri, Loni" stops a tutor from heading to Indirapuram, a different place in Ghaziabad city. Indrapuri is a long-settled Loni colony near Lal Bagh, Jawahar Nagar and Rampark. Add the block, house number and a landmark visible from the main road, and the first visit starts on time.
A Loni student who may study maths in Class 11 should keep CBSE Standard. Both levels share the chapters and an 80-mark paper, but about three-quarters of Basic marks test recall and understanding, against about 54% in Standard. An optional second Class 10 exam can later improve maths, with dates only on cbse.gov.in.
In Ankur Vihar, give the block letter, the house or flat number and the nearest corner park, because the lettered blocks look alike. In Jawahar Nagar, write Loni Border Jawahar Nagar in full and share a phone map pin, since other cities have a colony with the same name.
Online maths lessons suit Loni students who need an ISC or IB specialist living elsewhere, or a board year with crowded evenings. Home visits help younger children, geometry and anyone changing medium. Tutors from both the Delhi and Loni sides reach the border colonies, and many families mix one visit with one online lesson weekly.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
