Science home tutor in Loni for Classes 6 to 10: careful answers learnt early, in the language of the paper

Between Class 6 and Class 10, science slowly splits into physics, chemistry and biology, and every one of them brings new drawings, formulas and sums. Children in Loni meet that change on different books: the UP Board's syllabus, often in Hindi; CBSE in English, sometimes at a school across the Delhi border; or an ICSE school's chosen texts. A good science tutor teaches from the book on your child's desk and trains clean written answers well before the board year. We put forward two or three science tutors who fit the board, the medium and your colony. You see every fee in advance, and the first class is a free demo.

How does the science tutor's job change from Class 6 to Class 10?

Aaditya Kashyap writes the CBSE and ICSE guidance on this page. A tutor's job shifts every year, and one simple check per stage lets parents see whether the work is on track:

Science tuition in Loni from Class 6 to Class 10: what the tutor works on, and one thing parents can check
ClassWhat the tutor works onWhat parents can check
6 and 7Each activity in the textbook (NCERT's Curiosity in CBSE schools) put into one clear sentence and a neat, labelled sketchDoes your child use the science word, not the everyday one?
8Physics, chemistry and biology start to feel separate; the first numericals and word equations appearIs a unit written beside every number?
9A heavier book, with motion, matter and the cell arriving togetherAre weak chapters mended within the same month?
10Every chapter aimed at the board paper and its markingHas your child written one full section against the clock?

Until the board year, a single teacher for physics, chemistry and biology is usually sensible, because one person then sees whether a numerical went wrong in the arithmetic or in the concept. Read how we match on the national science home tutor page; Class 9, the year that surprises many children, has its own Class 9 science tutor page.

How are UP Board High School science marks shared out?

The UP Board (Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad) marks Class 10 science out of 100. Under the 2026-27 syllabus, 70 come from the High School written paper and 30 from practical work, and each part is passed on its own: 23 in the paper, 10 in practicals. The written 70 fall into five units of very different size:

UP Board High School science, 2026-27: written marks by unit, and the first thing a tutor should fix
UnitMarksFix first
Chemical substances20Equations balanced in writing, compounds named exactly as the textbook names them
World of living20Big diagrams with every label spelt correctly, and each process told in order
Effects of current13Standard circuit symbols first, then short sums on resistance and power
Natural phenomena12Mirror, lens and eye diagrams drawn with a ruler and arrowheads on every ray
Natural resources5A short definition list, read aloud once a week rather than left to the end

The chemistry and biology units together hold 40 of the 70. A child who fears physics can still do well if those two are secure, while steady work on circuits and light protects the other 25. For practice, the board's website carries model papers and a question bank for High School. Our UP Board tutors in Loni page covers the remaining subjects.

How should practice follow the UP Board science model paper?

The board's Class 10 science model paper is printed in Hindi, starts with a short reading time and then runs for three hours. Section A is objective, one mark per question, marked on an OMR sheet. Section B is written in full. Both sections come in three sub-sections, and the paper asks for each Section B sub-section to be answered in one go, starting on a fresh page.

Home practice can copy that shape. Work each objective question in rough before shading, since a wrong circle stays wrong. Give a whole sitting to one Section B sub-section, so related chapters are revised side by side. A child at a Hindi-medium school should write the textbook's Hindi terms, even if the tutor explained the idea in English.

How does CBSE mark Class 10 science?

The CBSE board paper is worth 80, and the school adds 20 in four equal parts of 5: periodic tests, a range of other assessments, the student's portfolio, and enrichment work based on practicals. Two units are large: Chemical Substances and World of Living, at 25 each. Effects of Current (13) and Natural Phenomena (12) carry most of the numericals and ray diagrams, and Our Environment (5) is quick to learn and careless to skip. By skill, half the paper rewards recall and understanding, 30% application and 20% analysis or evaluation.

The 2026-27 sample paper has 39 questions: twenty one-mark items (options and assertion–reason), six two-mark, seven three-mark, three four-mark case- or source-based questions and three five-mark long answers. This session the school alone assesses evolution, the periodic arrangement of elements, and electromagnetic induction with the generator and motor. Board questions also draw on 14 listed experiments, so the practical file doubles as revision. After the compulsory main exam, eligible students may take an optional second attempt in up to three subjects, science included, on dates given only on cbse.gov.in. See our CBSE Class 10 science notes and the Class 10 science tutor page.

Why does Class 9 science deserve its own plan?

On the UP Board, Class 9 science follows the Class 10 frame of 70 written and 30 practical marks. The largest unit is motion, force and work at 25; matter and the organisation of the living world bring 20 each, and food production 5. CBSE Class 9 uses NCERT's newer Exploration book in 2026-27, still 80 plus 20 internal, with matter 27, the living world 25, motion with force, work and sound 23, and the Earth as a system 5.

On either board, notes passed down from an older sibling may follow an older book, so compare the chapter lists first. And motion is where physics first turns into graphs and equations; secure it before the half-yearly exam. The move from Class 8 to Class 9 is exactly when many Khanna Nagar parents first ask for a tutor.

What is different for an ICSE science student?

In Class 10, an ICSE student sits three science papers rather than one, because CISCE examines Physics, Chemistry and Biology separately, each with internal marks of its own. Each school picks its own books inside the CISCE syllabus, so a tutor works from those books and from CISCE's specimen papers, not from an NCERT plan. Precise definitions and fully worked numericals are what score. Teachers with ICSE experience may take longer to find near you, so write to us early; adding online tutors gives you more names.

What should families in six Loni colonies arrange for a science tutor?

Younger students study in the gap after school and before the evening meal, so a tutor who arrives at the same hour every time is worth a lot. Here is what helps in six colonies from three parts of Loni; every locality is listed on our Loni page.

Ankur Vihar and Balram Nagar

Ankur Vihar is a planned township in lettered blocks on Loni Road, and many parents there want one steady maths and science tutor through Classes 6 to 8; give the block letter first. Balram Nagar, inside the larger Lal Bagh area, sends many Class 9 and 10 science requests. Write Balram Nagar, then Lal Bagh, then the gali number, since some tutors know only the larger name.

Gulab Vatika and Jawahar Nagar

Gulab Vatika, also spelt Gulab Watika, sits next to Jawahar Nagar on the Loni side of the border; families describe it by block and gali number, so send both. In Jawahar Nagar, write Loni Border Jawahar Nagar, because Delhi has a colony with the same name. Tutors from both sides of the border can reach these lanes.

Khanna Nagar and Rampark

Khanna Nagar has quieter inner lanes set back from the main road, which suits an early-evening lesson; add a phone map pin for the first visit. In Rampark, say whether you are in Rampark itself or Rampark Extension, and give the gali number with a shop or park nearby.

The Ankur Vihar and Lal Bagh and Rampark and Khanna Nagar zone pages add local tips, and the Loni home tuition guide covers every part of the town.

Which five habits should be automatic by Class 10?

On every board, careful children pick up these marks and rushed ones drop them. A science tutor should come back to each habit until it no longer needs reminding:

  1. Ray diagrams: an arrowhead on each ray, virtual rays dotted, and the image labelled real or virtual.
  2. Circuits: standard symbols, the ammeter in series and the voltmeter across the part being measured.
  3. Body systems: heart, nephron and digestive tract drawn large, with labels spelt right in the exam's language.
  4. Equations: balanced every time, with state symbols whenever the question asks for them.
  5. Crosses: each inheritance cross written out in full before the ratio is stated.

At the free demo, ask for the chapter your child is doing at school right now and notice whether the tutor brings up these habits without being asked. More signs are in the demo class checklist. A tutor who does not fit is simply replaced by the next name on your list for another demo, and changing tutor later costs nothing.

What does a science home tutor in Loni cost?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor fixes their own rate. For the middle-school years, ask how much of the year goes on fresh chapters and how much on revision, and whether one lesson a week could happen online. Every fee is visible before the demo; the Loni home tuition fees guide lists more questions.

What happens after you contact us?

Write to us with the class, board and medium, the part of science that worries you, your colony and a landmark, and the free afternoons. Within the reply you get two or three science tutors, each with a fee, and you invite one for the free demo. Where no suitable tutor can manage your hour, we say so and offer online or mixed lessons. Tutors who join go through an ID check; the Verified badge appears only after the ID check is complete (how the ID check works).

Classes 11 and 12 in Loni have separate pages for physics, chemistry and biology. Families on the border can also compare science tutors in Ghaziabad and in Delhi. Science teachers who live in Loni will find open requests on the Loni tuition jobs page.

Science Home Tutor in Loni: common questions

How much does a science home tutor for Classes 6 to 10 cost in Loni?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each Loni science tutor fixes their own rate. Ask how the year splits between new chapters and revision, and whether one weekly lesson can be online.

How do I request a science tutor for my child in Loni?

Send NXTutors the class, board and medium, the part of science that worries you, your colony with a landmark and the free afternoons. We reply with two or three science tutors, each with a fee, and the first class with the one you pick is a free demo. Switching tutor later is free too.

How are the 70 written marks split in UP Board Class 10 science?

In the 2026-27 UP Board syllabus, chemical substances and the world of living carry 20 marks each, effects of current 13, natural phenomena 12 and natural resources 5. Practical work adds 30 more, and a student must pass the paper and the practicals separately, needing 23 and 10.

How should a Hindi-medium student in Loni practise the UP Board science model paper?

A Hindi-medium student should practise in the paper's own shape and write the textbook's Hindi terms. The model paper has an objective OMR section and a written section, each in three sub-sections. Shade a circle only after working in rough, and answer each written sub-section in one sitting on a fresh page.

Which three CBSE Class 10 science topics are assessed only by the school this session?

In 2026-27, the school alone assesses evolution, the periodic arrangement of elements, and electromagnetic induction with the generator and motor. They return in Class 11, so a Loni tutor should teach them properly but spend board revision on the five examined units, led by Chemical Substances and World of Living at 25 marks each.

Why do Khanna Nagar parents often start science tuition at Class 9?

Class 9 is when science gets noticeably harder, and the habits formed then carry into the board years. On the UP Board, motion, force and work alone is worth 25 of the 70 written marks. Many Khanna Nagar families choose one tutor for maths, science and English, or a single subject tutor.

Can one tutor teach physics, chemistry and biology to a Loni child up to Class 10?

Yes, one tutor for all three sciences usually works well up to Class 10. The same person can tell whether a wrong numerical came from arithmetic or from the concept. ICSE is the exception worth planning for, because CISCE examines Physics, Chemistry and Biology as three separate papers with their own internal marks.

What should Gulab Vatika families tell a science tutor about their address?

Gulab Vatika families should give the block and gali number, since the colony is described that way, and use the spelling on their own papers, Gulab Vatika or Gulab Watika. The colony sits next to Jawahar Nagar on the Loni side of the border, so tutors from Delhi and Loni can both reach it.

What changes in CBSE Class 9 science with the newer NCERT book?

CBSE Class 9 now uses NCERT's newer Exploration book in 2026-27, still marked 80 plus 20 internal. Matter carries 27, the living world 25, motion with force, work and sound 23, and the Earth as a system 5. Notes from an older sibling may follow the earlier book, so compare chapter lists first.

Which science diagrams should a Loni student be able to draw without help by Class 10?

By Class 10, a Loni student should draw ray diagrams with arrowheads, standard circuits, and the heart, nephron and digestive tract with correct labels. Balanced equations and fully written inheritance crosses complete the list. In the free demo, watch whether the tutor raises these habits without being asked.
