What home tuition costs in Ghaziabad

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Science home tutor in Ghaziabad for Classes 6 to 10: the right book, the right slot

Science from Class 6 to Class 10 is really three subjects sharing one timetable. A home tutor in Ghaziabad earns their fee by teaching from the book your child's school uses this year, and by keeping biology, chemistry and physics in balance. They also need to reach your house or flat on a weekday afternoon without the lesson starting late. CBSE students need NCERT and the competency questions now set in the board paper; ICSE students face three separate science papers. NXTutors sends you two or three science tutors who fit the class and board, with fees shown first, and the first class is a free demo.

What does science tuition look like in each class?

Aaditya Kashyap writes the CBSE and ICSE science guidance on this page. We brief tutors by class, because what school asks of a Class 7 child and of a Class 10 board candidate are very different things.

Science in Ghaziabad homes, Class 6 to Class 10: the book, the usual stumbling point and a sensible rhythm
ClassBook or paperUsual stumbling pointSessions a week
6 and 7NCERT Curiosity, built around activities and observationVague words where a precise term is neededOne, sometimes two
8Biology, chemistry and physics start to pull apartUnits dropped; diagrams without labels; unbalanced word equationsOne or two
9 (CBSE)NCERT Exploration, new for 2026-27Motion graphs, valency and new biology terms arriving togetherTwo
10 (CBSE)An 80-mark board paper and 20 school marksApplication questions answered with memorised linesTwo or three
9 and 10 (ICSE)Separate Physics, Chemistry and Biology papersLoose definitions; numericals left half-workedTwo or three, often divided by subject

In the middle-school years the tutor's main job is habit: exact vocabulary, a labelled diagram every time, units in every answer. Those habits are what the board years test. See the national science home tutor page for how we approach the subject across India.

Which Ghaziabad localities make an after-school science slot easy?

Science tuition for a younger child usually fits between school, play and homework, so the hour is late afternoon or early evening. Whether a tutor can keep that hour each week depends on your housing and on the rail or road link into your locality. These six examples come from both banks of the Hindon. You can compare tutors locality by locality on our Ghaziabad page.

West bank: Indirapuram and Vasundhara

Niti Khand 1 mixes independent houses with apartments, and the nearest metro is Noida Electronic City. Few autos run inside the khand, so a tutor on a two-wheeler can fit several homes into one evening, which helps you get a steady weekday slot. At the northern end of the township, Vasundhara Sector 1 is mainly builder floors on a grid of streets. The tutor rings the bell rather than clearing a gate, and Red Line stations around Mohan Nagar are the usual way in.

West bank, on the Delhi border

In Shalimar Garden, most homes are flats above ground-floor shops rather than gated towers, so there is no visitor pass to arrange. Raj Bagh and Shaheed Nagar on the Red Line are the usual stops. Surya Nagar is a settled area of builder floors set in blocks with neighbourhood parks. Tutors often come through Red Line stations on the Delhi side and take an auto in, so put the block and house number in your request.

East bank: Hapur Road and NH-9

Govindpuram, in lettered blocks along Hapur Road, has limited metro access, so a tutor who lives there or in a neighbouring colony is the practical choice for twice-weekly lessons. Vijay Nagar stretches along NH-9 and the Delhi–Meerut Expressway. Its older sectors are plotted, giving doorstep visits, while its newer apartment blocks may ask for gate registration.

Across the city, a weekend morning is easier to fill than a weekday at six. For Class 9 and 10, one home session and one online session a week with the same tutor works well.

How is the CBSE Class 10 science paper marked?

The board sets a three-hour paper for 80 marks. The school adds 20 through internal assessment, split equally between periodic assessment, multiple assessment, the portfolio and practical work. The 2026-27 sample paper has 39 questions grouped into three subject sections: biology for 30 marks, and chemistry and physics for 25 each.

Half the paper tests knowledge and understanding. Application takes 30%, and the last 20% is analysis, evaluation and creation. So a large share of questions ask a student to use an idea in a new setting, not recall it. The tutor's timed practice should reflect that, and because each subject sits in its own section, the student can plan the three hours section by section. Three more points to know:

  • School-only topics. Periodic classification, evolution, and the electric motor, electromagnetic induction and the generator are assessed formatively in school and are not set in the board paper. Old guides that push them for the board need updating.
  • Experiments count twice. The curriculum lists 14 experiments, and questions built on them appear in the board paper, so keeping the practical file up to date is revision in its own right.
  • A second attempt, not a plan. From 2026 there is a compulsory main exam and an optional second exam to raise marks in up to three subjects, science included. The 2027 dates have not been announced; check cbse.gov.in and treat the main exam as the real one.

Chapter summaries are in our CBSE Class 10 science notes, and the Class 10 science tutor page sets out a board-year plan.

What changed in Class 9 science for 2026-27?

NCERT has brought in a new Class 9 textbook, Exploration, and CBSE's 2026-27 Class 9 curriculum follows it. The yearly paper is still 80 marks with 20 internal, spread over four units: Matter: its nature and behaviour (27), World of living (25), Motion, force, work and sound (23), and Earth as a system (5).

An older cousin's notes or last year's guidebook may follow a different chapter order, so the tutor should teach from the current book. The practical list is assessed in school. It covers stained onion-peel and cheek-cell mounts, separating mixtures, and distance-time and velocity-time graphs, and a tutor who explains why each set-up works helps with the theory as well. Our Class 9 science tutor page follows the new chapters.

How is ICSE science different?

ICSE examines Class 10 science as three papers, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, each with its own theory paper and internal assessment. Marks go on the volume of content, on definitions written loosely and on numericals left unfinished, more than on case-based questions. Schools choose books under the CISCE syllabus, so the tutor must work from your child's own books and CISCE specimen papers, not NCERT. From Class 9, many families add separate help in whichever of the three is weakest. ICSE-experienced science tutors are fewer in any city, so let us know early; online sessions widen the pool if nobody can reach your locality.

Should one tutor cover all three sciences?

For a CBSE student up to Class 9, usually yes. One tutor means one timetable, and one person can see how a gap in one strand affects another. Bring in a specialist only when the evidence points to a single strand. Suppose a child keeps losing physics numericals at the step where the formula is rearranged. That can be a maths problem, and a short spell on algebra may fix it faster than a physics tutor. In Class 10 the single CBSE paper still suits one tutor who can divide time by section. For ICSE, splitting by paper is more common.

How might a Class 10 science year with a tutor be paced?

Schools order chapters differently, so treat this as a shape to adjust, not a fixed calendar:

  1. First term: each chapter taught as the school reaches it, with a short written test at the end of every chapter and the practical file kept current as experiments are done.
  2. Second term: mixed revision across the three strands, so a biology chapter sits beside a physics numerical in the same session, as it will in the paper.
  3. Pre-board season: full timed papers, marked against the section structure, with weak chapters repaired one at a time.
  4. Final weeks: diagrams, definitions and reasons revised in short, frequent rounds, with no new material.

For a middle-school child the same idea applies on a smaller scale: a test every fortnight shows whether gaps are closing.

What should you notice in the free demo?

Ask the tutor to teach this week's chapter as a normal lesson, and watch for these signs:

  1. They ask where the class has reached and open your child's current book.
  2. Your child draws, labels or writes during the lesson instead of just listening.
  3. Numericals go formula first, then values with units, then the answer with its unit.
  4. They ask your child to predict an outcome or explain a result, the skill competency questions reward.
  5. You finish with a short plan and a date for the first written test.

Our checklist for the demo class has further pointers. If the fit is wrong, we set up the next tutor's demo, and switching later costs nothing.

What does a science home tutor cost in Ghaziabad?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor fixes their own fee. For Classes 6 to 10, the board year normally costs more than the middle-school years, and a physics or chemistry specialist more than a general science tutor. Science Home Tutor in Ghaziabad: common questions

What raises a science tutor's fee for Classes 6 to 10 in Ghaziabad?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. For Classes 6 to 10 in Ghaziabad, the board year normally costs more than middle school, and a physics or chemistry specialist more than a general science tutor. How do I get science tutors for Classes 6 to 10 suggested in Ghaziabad?

To get science tutors suggested in Ghaziabad, tell us the class and board, the part of science causing trouble, your locality or society and suitable hours. We send two or three matched tutors, each fee shown before the first class, and you pick one for a free demo. Switching tutor later is free.

How is the CBSE Class 10 science board paper split for Ghaziabad students?

Ghaziabad CBSE Class 10 students face a three-hour, 80-mark science paper of 39 questions in three sections: biology 30, chemistry 25 and physics 25. Half the marks test knowledge and understanding, 30% application and 20% analysis and evaluation. The school adds 20 internal marks, including practical work.

Which Class 10 science topics stay out of the CBSE board paper in Ghaziabad?

Periodic classification, evolution, and the electric motor, electromagnetic induction and the generator stay out of the 2026-27 CBSE Class 10 board paper for Ghaziabad students. They are assessed formatively in school instead. They still count internally and matter in Class 11, but board revision should not spend extra time on them.

Which new NCERT book do Ghaziabad CBSE Class 9 students use for science?

Ghaziabad CBSE Class 9 students use NCERT's new science textbook, Exploration, from 2026-27. The paper stays 80 marks with 20 internal, across four units: Matter (27), World of living (25), Motion, force, work and sound (23), and Earth as a system (5). Older notes may follow a different chapter order.

Why do the 14 CBSE Class 10 science experiments matter for Ghaziabad students?

The 14 listed CBSE Class 10 science experiments matter for Ghaziabad students because experiment-based questions also appear in the board paper. Keeping the practical file current is revision in its own right. A tutor who explains why each set-up works strengthens the theory answers too.

How does ICSE science differ for Ghaziabad Class 10 students?

ICSE science differs for Ghaziabad Class 10 students because it is three papers, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, each with its own theory paper and internal assessment. Marks slip on volume, loose definitions and unfinished numericals. Tutors must work from the school's CISCE books and specimen papers, not NCERT, and are fewer, so ask early.

Should a single Ghaziabad tutor cover biology, chemistry and physics until Class 10?

For most Ghaziabad CBSE students, a single tutor can cover biology, chemistry and physics until Class 10, because the board sets one science paper. Add a specialist only when one strand keeps losing marks, and check first whether a maths gap, such as rearranging formulas, is the real cause. ICSE students often split help by paper.

Do science tutors need a gate pass to reach Ghaziabad homes?

Science tutors in Ghaziabad need a gate pass only in gated societies, common in Indirapuram and Raj Nagar Extension, so add the tutor to the visitor list once. In builder-floor areas such as Shalimar Garden or Surya Nagar, the tutor usually comes straight to the door. Put the block and house number in your request.

Should Class 9 and 10 science in Ghaziabad mix home and online sessions?

Class 9 and 10 science in Ghaziabad works well with one home session and one online session a week with the same tutor. Home suits diagrams, labelled answers and numericals worked line by line. Across the city, a weekend morning is easier to fill than a weekday at six, so plan the home visit around traffic.
