Tutoring in Ghaziabad: what to know

Ghaziabad has seven zones on NXTutors, split by the Hindon into a trans-Hindon side near Delhi and Noida and the older city to the east. Indirapuram's khands and pockets, Vaishali's numbered sectors, Kaushambi and Vasundhara mix apartment societies with builder floors and houses, so the address tells you whether to expect a guard or a doorbell. Sahibabad, Rajendra Nagar, Surya Nagar and Ramprastha are long-settled plotted colonies where you go straight to the floor. East of the river, Raj Nagar, Kavi Nagar and Old Ghaziabad are almost entirely plotted, while Raj Nagar Extension and the NH-9 townships are newer high-rise societies with visitor lists.

Rail links are unusually varied here. The Blue Line ends at Vaishali, with Kaushambi one stop before it; the Red Line runs above GT Road from Shaheed Nagar to Shaheed Sthal; and Namo Bharat stations at Sahibabad, Ghaziabad and Guldhar add another route in. Anand Vihar, just over the border, links the Blue and Pink Lines with the railway and bus terminals. Many homes are still an e-rickshaw ride from a platform, and the pressure points are office hours on Kala Pathar Road, the border roads, NH-9 junctions and shift changes on GT Road. Tutors from East Delhi and Noida can reach the trans-Hindon zones without a car.

CBSE is the most common board in Ghaziabad, ICSE and ISC have a steady following, and the IB and Cambridge IGCSE serve a smaller group. Ghaziabad is in Uttar Pradesh, so UP Board schools matter too, and UPMSP runs their High School and Intermediate exams. Home tuition suits the plotted colonies, where trips between homes are short. In Govindpuram, Madhuban Bapudham and parts of the NH-9 belt the metro is not close, so families often look for a tutor in the same colony or township and add online sessions for a specialist senior subject.

How you get tuition work on NXTutors

Six steps from applying to your first class. Swipe to see each step.

  1. Sign up with a one-time code

Start with a one-time code to your phone or email, then add your subjects, classes and boards, whether CBSE, ICSE or UP Board in Hindi or English, and the Ghaziabad zones you can reach.

  2. Upload your ID for the ID check

Upload a government photo ID. It is checked before the profile is marked Verified, and each ID number can sit on only one tutor account. It is an identity check, not police verification.

  3. Your profile carries the Verified badge

After review, the profile carries the Verified badge, listing your boards, the zones from Indirapuram to Raj Nagar that you cover, your free hours and your own fee.

  4. A family nearby sends a request

A parent in Vasundhara or Kavi Nagar sends a request. We shortlist two or three tutors: those living in that area first, then tutors who travel there, then the zone, the city and online.

  5. Free demo; the family sees your fee first

The parent sees your fee before booking. The first class is a free demo at home where we ask a parent to be present, so you can see the student's level and the route.

  6. Teach at home, online or both

Teach at homes near you, online for students in other cities, or both, perhaps a weekend visit to a Raj Nagar Extension tower and online classes during the week.

Boards you can teach in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad tutors teach CBSE most often, ICSE and ISC for a steady group, and the IB or Cambridge IGCSE for a smaller one. As the city is in Uttar Pradesh, UP Board schools matter as well: UPMSP runs the High School exam at the end of Class 10 and the Intermediate at the end of Class 12, with its own model papers and an OMR multiple-choice section. Families are asked for board and class together. Use upmsp.edu.in for UP Board syllabuses and model papers, cbseacademic.nic.in for CBSE, cisce.org for ICSE and ISC, and the IB and Cambridge sites for theirs.

Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP, UP Board)

High School (Class 10); Intermediate (Class 12)

UPMSP runs the High School and Intermediate examinations. High School Maths and Science are 70-mark written papers that open with one-mark multiple-choice questions on an OMR sheet, plus 30 marks of internal or practical work in school. Students register in advance in Classes 9 and 11. Ask the medium, Hindi or English, before the demo.

CBSE

Classes 1–12

CBSE is the most common board in Ghaziabad, from Indirapuram's societies to Raj Nagar's plotted lanes. Teach from NCERT, practise with the sample papers and marking schemes on cbseacademic.nic.in, and drill full written working. A Class 9 CBSE Science student and an ISC Chemistry candidate need different tutors, so list classes precisely.

CISCE (ICSE and ISC)

ICSE (Class 10); ISC (Class 12)

ICSE and ISC have a steady following here. CISCE sets ICSE at Class 10 and ISC at Class 12, and both expect detailed, well-structured answers across a wide syllabus, with English literature and project work. Keep the current specimen papers from cisce.org to hand when you plan revision.

IB Diploma Programme

Diploma Programme (Classes 11–12)

The IB Diploma serves a smaller group in Ghaziabad. It combines externally marked exams with internal assessment, and Maths comes as Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation, at SL and HL. Tutors guide an IA without writing it; ibo.org has the subject guides, and online sessions reach families across the NCR.

Cambridge / Pearson Edexcel IGCSE

IGCSE (Classes 9–10)

Cambridge IGCSE here is largely about technique: command words, the Core or Extended route, and past papers worked against their mark schemes. A tutor near the Blue Line can reach Vaishali and Kaushambi students at home and teach others online. Syllabuses are on cambridgeinternational.org, and Pearson's site covers Edexcel.

Where in Ghaziabad tutors are needed

Zones marked "Tutors needed" have the fewest tutors living in or travelling to them, so families there mostly see online tutors today. Add them to your travel areas to reach those families first.

Indirapuram

Tutors needed

Pockets change from apartment societies to builder floors, so check which: a society needs your name and phone at security, a floor needs the pocket number and a landmark. Vaishali station suits the Nyay, Abhay and Gyan pockets and Noida Electronic City the Ahinsa pockets, and weekday lessons run better once the Kala Pathar Road and CISF Road office rush has passed. Keep an online session in reserve for specialist senior subjects.

Abhay Khand 1, Indirapuram, Abhay Khand 2, Indirapuram, Abhay Khand 3, Indirapuram, Ahinsa Khand 1, Indirapuram, Ahinsa Khand 2, Indirapuram, Gyan Khand 1, Indirapuram, Gyan Khand 2, Indirapuram, Gyan Khand 3, Indirapuram, Gyan Khand 4, Indirapuram, Indirapuram, Niti Khand 1, Indirapuram, Niti Khand 2, Indirapuram, Niti Khand 3, Indirapuram, Nyay Khand 1, Indirapuram, Nyay Khand 2, Indirapuram, Nyay Khand 3, Indirapuram, Shakti Khand 1, Indirapuram, Shakti Khand 2, Indirapuram, Shakti Khand 3, Indirapuram, Shakti Khand 4, Indirapuram, Vaibhav Khand, Indirapuram

Vaishali & Kaushambi

Tutors needed

Kaushambi and Vaishali are the last two Blue Line stops, so tutors from East Delhi and Noida can arrive on foot or by e-rickshaw. Sectors 7 and 9 and Kaushambi have society gates while the older sectors are builder floors, and the roundabout near Vaishali station is busiest at office hours, so mid-afternoon or later-evening slots hold up. Ask for the tower and flat in the society sectors, and the floor and a landmark in the older ones.

Kaushambi, Vaishali, Vaishali Sector 1, Vaishali Sector 2, Vaishali Sector 3, Vaishali Sector 4, Vaishali Sector 5, Vaishali Sector 6, Vaishali Sector 7, Vaishali Sector 9

Vasundhara

Tutors needed

No metro station stands inside Vasundhara: Vaishali serves Sectors 13 to 18, Mohan Nagar the northern sectors and Shyam Park Sectors 11 and 12, usually with an e-rickshaw after. The Sector 11 and 16 markets crowd the inner lanes in the evening, so a tutor who rides a scooter in from Indirapuram or Vaishali is often easiest to schedule. A weekend morning is another option when the inner lanes are busy.

Vasundhara, Vasundhara Sector 1, Vasundhara Sector 2, Vasundhara Sector 3, Vasundhara Sector 4, Vasundhara Sector 5, Vasundhara Sector 6, Vasundhara Sector 10, Vasundhara Sector 11, Vasundhara Sector 12, Vasundhara Sector 13, Vasundhara Sector 14, Vasundhara Sector 15, Vasundhara Sector 16, Vasundhara Sector 17, Vasundhara Sector 18

Sahibabad & Rajendra Nagar

Tutors needed

Red Line stations above GT Road, from Shaheed Nagar and Raj Bagh to Rajendra Nagar, Shyam Park and Mohan Nagar, sit close to most colonies, and car parking in the inner lanes is tight. Most homes open straight onto the lane, so ask for block, floor and a landmark, and avoid slots that clash with shift changes on GT Road. Late-afternoon or weekend lessons usually start on time.

Lajpat Nagar (Sahibabad), Mohan Nagar, Pasonda, Rajendra Nagar, Sahibabad, Shaheed Nagar, Shalimar Garden, Shalimar Garden Extension, Shyam Park

Surya Nagar & Ramprastha

Tutors needed

This compact plotted pocket has no society gates and no station inside it, so tutors come from Dilshad Garden or Jhilmil on the Red Line, Kaushambi or Vaishali on the Blue Line, then an auto. Tutors living just across the border in East Delhi can serve it well, with one fixed after-school slot that avoids the border-road office rush. Ask the family for the block letter and house number, which is usually enough here.

Brij Vihar, Chander Nagar, Ramprastha, Surya Nagar

Raj Nagar Extension & NH-9 Corridor

Tutors needed

Raj Nagar Extension and Siddharth Vihar are mainly high-rise societies that want you on the visitor list before the demo, while Vijay Nagar and Pratap Vihar are older and largely plotted. Guldhar Namo Bharat station helps Raj Nagar Extension, the larger townships off NH-9 have no metro, and highway junctions slow down at office hours. Tutors living in the same township are the easiest match, and an online option helps for specialist subjects.

Crossings Republik, Pratap Vihar, Raj Nagar Extension, Siddharth Vihar, Vijay Nagar

Raj Nagar, Kavi Nagar & Old Ghaziabad

Tutors needed

Almost every home here is plotted, so you come to the door, but rail reaches only the edges: Shaheed Sthal, the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat station and Guldhar, then an auto. Evening traffic on Hapur Road, around Meerut Mod and near the District Centre is the main delay, and Govindpuram and Madhuban Bapudham suit a tutor who lives nearby. Specialist subjects can be taught online where the metro is not close.

Govindpuram, Kavi Nagar, Lohia Nagar, Madhuban Bapudham, Nandgram, Nehru Nagar, Patel Nagar, Raj Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, Shastri Nagar

Women tutors welcome

For women tutors: you set the terms

Women tutors are welcome on NXTutors in Ghaziabad for home lessons, online teaching or a hybrid week. You choose the zones and hours: a tutor in Vaishali might stay within walking distance of the Blue Line stations, another in Raj Nagar Extension within her own township, and teach other families online. Every tutor who joins goes through the same ID check, families meet you first at a free demo where we ask a parent to be at home, and the safeguarding policy applies to everyone. These are controls you can use, not a promise about anyone's conduct.

  • Pick home, online or hybrid on your profile, and update it whenever you like.
  • Add only the zones you want to reach; if late trips along NH-9 or GT Road do not suit you, leave those areas off.
  • Mark the hours you are free so Ghaziabad parents know when you can visit or teach online.
  • The first lesson is a free demo where we ask a parent to be present, so you meet the family before committing.
  • In Indirapuram, Kaushambi and Raj Nagar Extension societies, ask to be added to the visitor list so every visit is recorded at the gate.
  • Settle timings, fees and messages with a parent rather than the student.
  • Teach young children in a shared room with an adult at home; keep the camera on for online classes.
  • Stop any arrangement that troubles you and tell NXTutors, marked Safeguarding; call 112 first in an emergency.

Read the safeguarding policy and how the ID check works.

Why tutors choose NXTutors

What is different from a directory listing or a tuition bureau.

  • You set your fee

Your fee per class is on your profile, and families see it before the demo, so there is no haggling after a good class.

  • Matched, nearest first

Each request goes to two or three tutors who fit it, nearest first, not to a long list of people chasing the same family.

  • Demo first

The first class is a free demo. Families decide after meeting you, not from a phone call or a price list.

  • No made-up leads

We never show invented requests. The only request details on these pages are real and anonymised, and only once there are three or more.

  • An ID check for everyone

Every tutor who joins goes through the same ID check. Real tutors who pass carry the Verified badge; sample profiles are always labelled.

  • AI-first, with real teachers

Parents can ask NXT AI about your profile and compare tutors side by side. The teaching is always yours.

Tutor plans and what each includes

Tutor plans are listed on our pricing page with what each one includes. Read them before you apply; we do not quote prices on this page. Tutors are independent: you set your own fee, and families pay you for the classes they take.

Questions from tutors

How does a Ghaziabad request turn into a class?

A parent tells us the class, board, subjects, locality or society and suitable times. We shortlist two or three tutors in a fixed order: people in that locality, then those who travel there, then the zone, Ghaziabad and online tutors. If you are picked, the family sees your fee, books a free demo and decides after it.

Can a Ghaziabad tutor teach students outside the city?

Yes, through online lessons. If you switch on online teaching, requests are not tied to your locality, so subject, board and class decide the fit wherever the family lives. Many tutors here keep home classes in nearby colonies on weekdays and take online students from other cities in the remaining slots.

Which Ghaziabad zones work well without a car?

Vaishali & Kaushambi and Sahibabad & Rajendra Nagar sit on the Blue and Red Lines, and Indirapuram has two Blue Line stations nearby. Vasundhara, Surya Nagar and Raj Nagar need an e-rickshaw or auto after the train, and Raj Nagar Extension is easier with a two-wheeler or the Guldhar Namo Bharat station.

Will I need a police verification certificate?

NXTutors does not run a police or background check. Instead, tutors who join confirm their phone or email with a one-time code and upload a government photo ID to be checked before the profile is marked Verified. Real tutors who pass get a Verified badge, explained on How we verify tutors (/how-we-verify-tutors).

What does it cost me to be listed?

Signing up and onboarding are free, and the Free plan gives you 160 lead credits a month. Paid plans (/pricing) are optional: they add visibility, AI tools and more credits, and no plan is a fee to apply for a tuition. Your own lesson fee is up to you and appears on your profile before a Ghaziabad family books its free demo, and families can change tutor at no charge.

Can I work as a woman tutor in Ghaziabad only near home?

Yes. You choose the zones you travel to and the hours you keep free, so you could take home requests only in your own township or near your Blue Line station and teach other students online. Each new family meets you first at a free demo where we ask a parent to be at home.

Which boards do Ghaziabad families need tutors for?

CBSE most often, ICSE and ISC for a steady group, the IB Diploma or Cambridge IGCSE for a smaller one, and the UP Board's High School and Intermediate, where the medium of teaching, Hindi or English, matters as much as the subject. Put board, class and medium on your profile.

Does a hybrid plan suit Raj Nagar Extension or Crossings Republik?

It can. Where the NH-9 junctions are slow at office hours, one home lesson a week for written practice plus online classes in between keeps a student on track. Tick both home and online on your profile, and agree the mix with the parent after the demo.
