Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Senior physics students in Ghaziabad often have school, a coaching batch and homework before a tutor even rings the bell. A physics home tutor is worth the hour only if they can do what a batch cannot. They find the exact line where your child's reasoning goes wrong. They know whether that reasoning must hold up in the CBSE board paper, ISC, JEE or NEET. And they can reach your khand, sector or colony late in the day. NXTutors shortlists two or three physics tutors on those three tests, shows every fee before you meet, and the first class is a free demo.
The chapters overlap a great deal, but each test rewards a different habit. The figures below are from the 2026 official patterns; check the current bulletin before planning around any detail.
| Target | Format | Physics share | What tuition should build |
|---|---|---|---|
| CBSE Class 12 board | Three-hour written paper; no calculators | 70 theory marks plus 30 practical | Complete derivations, labelled diagrams, units on every line |
| JEE Main Paper 1 | Three-hour computer-based test, 75 questions, 300 marks, +4 and −1 | 25 questions: 20 multiple-choice, 5 numerical-value | Speed on multi-step problems; honest analysis of each mock |
| JEE Advanced | Open only to the first 2,50,000 in JEE Main (2026 rule) | Multi-concept problems | Depth, and practice on past Advanced papers |
| NEET (UG) | Three-hour pen-and-paper exam, +4 and −1 | 45 of 180 questions; 180 of 720 marks | Accuracy on NCERT concepts; fewer risky guesses |
Entrance syllabi come from the conducting body, not CBSE, and can include topics the board leaves out. For priorities by chapter, see our JEE physics topic-wise guide and the high-yield NEET physics guide.
Physics (042) has nine units in 14 NCERT chapters. For 2026-27, CBSE groups them into four mark blocks, which tell a tutor where the hours should go:
A student weak in electricity and magnetism or in optics carries real risk into the exam. Our Class 12 physics strategies post covers the derivations that recur.
The paper has 33 compulsory questions across five sections, with internal choice in some. CBSE's sample paper says the design is unchanged this session, and the values of constants are printed on the paper.
| Section | Questions | Rehearse by |
|---|---|---|
| A | 16 of one mark: 12 multiple-choice, 4 assertion–reason | Quick mixed quizzes at the start of each session |
| B | 5 of two marks | A definition plus one consequence, or a two-line numerical |
| C | 7 of three marks | Short derivations and numericals such as binding energy |
| D | 2 case studies of four marks | Reading an unfamiliar passage before answering |
| E | 3 of five marks | Long answers that combine derivation, diagram and calculation |
Roughly 38% of the marks reward recall; the remainder need application, analysis or evaluation of situations the student has not met. A tutor who only dictates notes is poor value here. Class 12 has one main board exam, since the two-exam system applies to Class 10, and CBSE has not yet published the 2027 date sheet. The Class 12 physics tutor page plans the board year.
Yes, though the help is on paper, not with apparatus. The practical examination carries 30 marks: two experiments at 7 marks apiece, the record at 5, one activity at 3, an investigatory project at 3, and a viva at 5 that can touch any of these. Setting up a metre bridge or an optical bench belongs in the school laboratory. At home, the tutor can make sure your child can state the aim of each experiment, sketch its circuit or ray path, draw up the table of readings, and explain what could make a result inaccurate and how to guard against it.
Then comes the rehearsal: the tutor plays examiner and asks the follow-up questions a viva tends to throw up, such as why a reading is repeated or what would change with a different wire. School practicals have typically been held in January, so a couple of such sessions in December fit well.
The first year of senior physics packs a lot into a few months. Measurement and units give way to motion in one and two dimensions, Newton's laws, energy, rotational motion and gravitation. Each topic assumes the student can handle vectors, read a graph and use a little calculus, and the maths syllabus does not always get there first.
Class 12 builds straight on that base. Electrostatics, for instance, is forces, fields and energy once more, now with charges. A student who spends the first term getting comfortable with components of a vector, the slope and area of a graph, and the idea of a derivative as a rate of change finds later chapters far lighter. Fixing those tools in Class 11 is much cheaper than patching two years of gaps in the months before the board exam. The Class 11 physics tutor page goes chapter by chapter, and our national physics home tutor page covers the wider picture.
Senior sessions often start after coaching, so what counts is the tutor's route at that hour, not just the name of your locality. The six localities below, from both banks of the Hindon, show how different the answer can be. Compare nearby tutors on our Ghaziabad page.
| Locality | Homes | Nearest rail link | For a late slot |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nyay Khand 2, Indirapuram | Independent houses beside apartment societies | Vaishali (Blue Line), then e-rickshaw | Doorstep in house lanes; start after the Kala Pathar Road rush |
| Vaishali Sector 7 | Mainly high-rise complexes | Vaishali (Blue Line) | Register the tutor at the gate; drivers should know visitor-parking rules |
| Shaheed Nagar | Independent houses and apartments | Shaheed Nagar station, the first Red Line stop in Ghaziabad after Dilshad Garden | A tutor can often walk from the platform |
| Ramprastha | Plotted houses on wide roads, a few small blocks | Dilshad Garden (Red), Kaushambi (Blue) or Anand Vihar railway station | No visitor pass; keep clear of border-road peaks |
| Patel Nagar | Independent houses, some apartment buildings | Ghaziabad Namo Bharat in Patel Nagar 2nd, linked to Shaheed Sthal (Red) | Tutors from along the Meerut corridor can come by train |
| Siddharth Vihar | Newer gated high-rise societies | Mostly by road along NH-9 | A tutor in the same or next society suits late sessions |
Where the tutor's route is uncertain on the latest nights, one online session a week keeps the plan intact.
A tutor who knows CBSE well is not automatically ready for another board, so we match on the course itself.
There are fewer specialists for these courses than for CBSE, so tell us the course and level at the start. If none lives within reach of your locality, an online specialist with a local tutor for practice is a workable split.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Every tutor decides their own rate. Where a quote lands depends on the goal, from board marks up to JEE Advanced; on how much experience the tutor has at that level; on the journey an evening slot involves; and on the number of weekly sessions. Lessons online with the same tutor may be cheaper. All shortlisted fees are visible ahead of the demo.
Share the class, the course, the goal, your locality or society and which evenings are free once school and coaching are done. You receive two or three matched physics tutors and their fees, then pick one for a free demo class. If it does not click, we line up the next tutor, and changing tutor later costs nothing. When no suitable tutor can reach you at the hour you need, we propose online or mixed sessions. NXTutors also teaches online across India and is based in Sector 66, Gurugram.

Electricity and magnetism decides much of a Ghaziabad student's CBSE Class 12 physics score because it carries 33 of the 70 theory marks. Optics with electromagnetic waves is the largest single block at 18, dual nature, atoms and nuclei carry 12, and semiconductor electronics 7. The practical examination adds 30 marks.
Ghaziabad students face 33 compulsory questions in five sections in the 2026-27 CBSE Class 12 physics paper. Section A has 16 one-mark items, B five two-mark, C seven three-mark, D two four-mark case studies, and E three five-mark long answers. Roughly 38% of marks reward recall; the rest need application.
No, transistors and logic gates are not in the 2026-27 CBSE Class 12 physics syllabus Ghaziabad students follow, though older guides still include them. The current curriculum also marks some topics as qualitative only. JEE and NEET syllabi are set separately, so entrance students should check before dropping anything.
Physics made up 45 of 180 questions and 180 of 720 marks in NEET (UG) 2026 for a Ghaziabad aspirant, in a three-hour pen-and-paper exam scored +4 and −1. With negative marking, careful work on NCERT concepts protects the score more than risky guesses. NTA confirms the pattern each year.
A Ghaziabad home tutor helps with the CBSE physics practical on paper, not with apparatus. The 30 marks are two experiments at 7 each, the record at 5, an activity and a project at 3 each, and a viva at 5. The tutor revises aims, diagrams, tables and error sources, then plays examiner for viva questions.
A Ghaziabad student gains most from physics help in Class 11, because motion, Newton's laws, energy, rotation and gravitation arrive in a few months. They assume vectors, graphs and basic calculus, which the maths syllabus may not have reached. Class 12 electrostatics reuses those tools, so fixing them early is far easier.
Ghaziabad localities beside a metro or Namo Bharat station make a late physics session easier for a visiting tutor. Shaheed Nagar has a Red Line stop next to the colony, Patel Nagar has the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat station, and Vaishali sits near the Blue Line terminus. In gated high-rise belts along NH-9, a tutor in the same or next society suits late sessions.
Yes, a Ghaziabad student can keep physics tuition going with one online session a week where the tutor's route is uncertain on the latest coaching nights. Home sessions still suit problem set-up, since the tutor sees where reasoning breaks. For ISC, IB or IGCSE physics, an online specialist plus a local tutor for practice is a workable split.
