Home Tuition in Raj Nagar, Raj Nagar Extension and Old Ghaziabad
In Raj Nagar, Kavi Nagar and the older colonies of Ghaziabad, most homes are plotted houses or builder floors, so a home tutor usually comes straight to the door. In Raj Nagar Extension, Crossings Republik and Siddharth Vihar, almost every class starts at a society gate, but many tutors already live inside the societies. Across both, the Red Line terminus at Shaheed Sthal and the Ghaziabad and Guldhar Namo Bharat stations decide how easily a tutor without a car can reach you.
This guide covers two zones: Raj Nagar, Kavi Nagar and Old Ghaziabad, and Raj Nagar Extension with the NH-9 corridor. It sets out how the areas group, which station serves which colony, doorstep versus gate routines, when to time a class, and where online tutoring fills the gaps.
How do these areas group?
Ghaziabad is split by the Hindon River into Trans-Hindon on the west and Cis-Hindon on the east. Raj Nagar is one of the older planned parts of cis-Hindon Ghaziabad, and the colonies around it make up the older city. Raj Nagar Extension lies north of old Raj Nagar, while Vijay Nagar, Pratap Vihar, Siddharth Vihar and Crossings Republik run along NH-9 (the old NH-24) and the Delhi–Meerut Expressway.
| Zone | Areas | Typical homes | Arrival |
|---|---|---|---|
| Raj Nagar, Kavi Nagar and Old Ghaziabad | Raj Nagar, Kavi Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Nehru Nagar, Lohia Nagar, Patel Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, Govindpuram, Nandgram, Madhuban Bapudham | Independent houses and builder floors in lettered or numbered blocks, with some apartment blocks | Mostly doorstep |
| Raj Nagar Extension and NH-9 Corridor | Raj Nagar Extension, Crossings Republik, Siddharth Vihar, Vijay Nagar, Pratap Vihar | High-rise societies in Raj Nagar Extension, Crossings Republik and Siddharth Vihar; plotted sectors in Vijay Nagar and Pratap Vihar | Gate in societies; doorstep in plotted sectors |
Which station serves which colony?
Three rail networks meet in this part of the city. The Red Line extension from Dilshad Garden was inaugurated on 8 March 2019 and ends at Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Adda), on GT Road near the New Bus Stand; the station was renamed in 2019 in honour of the martyrs of 1857. The first Namo Bharat (RRTS) section, from Sahibabad to Duhai Depot, was inaugurated on 20 October 2023, and its Ghaziabad, Guldhar and Duhai stations opened to the public on 21 October 2023.
| Station | Line | Areas where tutors use it |
|---|---|---|
| Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Adda) | Red Line terminus | Raj Nagar, Kavi Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Nehru Nagar, Lohia Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, Vijay Nagar, Pratap Vihar, Siddharth Vihar |
| Hindon River | Red Line | Lohia Nagar, Nandgram, Raj Nagar Extension |
| Ghaziabad | Namo Bharat, in Patel Nagar 2nd, interchanging with the Red Line at Shaheed Sthal | Patel Nagar, Raj Nagar, Nandgram |
| Guldhar | Namo Bharat, on Delhi–Meerut Road in the Meerut Road Industrial Area | Raj Nagar, Raj Nagar Extension, Sanjay Nagar |
| Duhai | Namo Bharat | Madhuban Bapudham |
| Ghaziabad Junction | Railway, operating since 1864 | Shastri Nagar, Lohia Nagar, Vijay Nagar, Pratap Vihar, Siddharth Vihar |
From any of these, tutors usually finish the trip by auto or e-rickshaw. Kavi Nagar also has New Ghaziabad railway station nearby. Two areas are harder to reach by rail: in Govindpuram the nearest metro is not close, and Crossings Republik has no metro inside the township, so tutors there mostly travel by road.
Raj Nagar, Kavi Nagar and the older colonies
This is doorstep tuition country. Most homes are plotted houses or builder floors, so there is no society gate to clear, and block codes make addresses easy to find.
- Raj Nagar is laid out in numbered sectors such as 2, 9, 10, 14 and 15, with a busy district centre at its commercial core. Roads around the centre get crowded in the evening, so an early-evening slot is easier to keep.
- Kavi Nagar is organised into lettered blocks of builder floors, independent houses and villas. Hapur Road can be slow at office hours, so set weekday classes a little before or after the evening rush.
- Shastri Nagar and Govindpuram, on the Hapur Road side, also use lettered blocks. With limited metro access in Govindpuram, a tutor from the colony or a neighbouring one is the practical choice.
- Nehru Nagar, close to the older centre, has busy commercial lanes, so avoid the busiest market hours.
- Lohia Nagar is compact, mostly independent houses, with evening traffic on Hapur Road the main thing to plan around.
- Patel Nagar is one of the most transit-friendly pockets, with the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat station in Patel Nagar 2nd. A tutor driving in should allow for peak hours around Meerut Mod.
- Sanjay Nagar, widely known by its Sector 23, has numbered blocks; weekend mornings suit longer sessions.
- Nandgram lanes are narrow and busy at peak hours, so parents often choose early-evening or weekend slots.
- Madhuban Bapudham is a large planned township developed by the Ghaziabad Development Authority and still filling up. Most homes are plots, so visits are door to door, though GDA flat blocks may ask for a simple gate entry.
Raj Nagar Extension and the NH-9 corridor
This zone is mostly newer society living. Raj Nagar Extension grew over the last decade into a belt of high-rise apartment societies, with some villas and builder floors. The Hindon Elevated Road, inaugurated on 31 March 2018, connects it with UP Gate on the Delhi border, and Meerut Road runs alongside.
Crossings Republik is an integrated township on NH-24/9, built on land around the village of Dundahera; with Indirapuram, it is one of Ghaziabad's two big sub-cities. Almost all homes are flats in gated societies. Siddharth Vihar, next to Indirapuram and Pratap Vihar, is a newer belt of high-rise societies, many recently completed or still being built.
Vijay Nagar and Pratap Vihar are different. Vijay Nagar is spread across NH-24 and the Delhi–Meerut Expressway and includes Old and New Vijay Nagar, Shivpuri and a UPSIDC industrial zone; its older sectors are plotted. Pratap Vihar is a planned colony with numbered sectors, including Sectors 11 and 12, and mostly independent houses. The Delhi–Meerut Expressway stretch from the Delhi–UP border to Dasna opened to the public on 1 April 2021, built as 14 lanes, and it makes driving in from Indirapuram or Vijay Nagar straightforward.
Setting up a society tutor
- Before the demo: add the tutor's name and timing to the visitor list at the main gate.
- Look inside first: in Raj Nagar Extension and Crossings Republik, many tutors live within the societies, so an in-society tutor can often be found.
- Once you continue: register the tutor as a regular visitor and share the tower, flat number and parking spot.
- Time it: expressway and highway junctions get busy at office hours, so agree a slot a little before or after the evening peak.
Home or online in this part of Ghaziabad?
- Plotted colonies near a station: a home tutor for most subjects, including one who travels by Red Line or Namo Bharat.
- Large townships: a tutor from inside your township for regular evening classes, with online sessions for specialist subjects.
- Areas with thin rail links, such as Govindpuram: a local tutor for the main subject, and online for IB, IGCSE or entrance preparation if no specialist lives nearby.

Frequently asked questions
Which station is nearest to Raj Nagar Extension?
The Guldhar Namo Bharat station on Delhi–Meerut Road serves Raj Nagar Extension, along with Raj Nagar and Sanjay Nagar. The nearest metro stops are Hindon River and Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Adda) on the Red Line. Tutors usually finish the trip by auto or e-rickshaw, or live inside the societies already.
Do tutors need a gate pass in Raj Nagar Extension or Crossings Republik?
Yes, usually. Almost all homes in both are flats in gated societies, so add the tutor to the visitor list before the demo, then register them as a regular visitor. Share the tower, flat number and parking spot in advance so the first class does not start late.
Is there a metro in Crossings Republik?
No. There is no metro inside the township, and tutors mostly arrive by road along NH-9 or from Vijay Nagar. Because the township is large, many tutors live within it, which makes regular evening classes easy to fit in. Online sessions cover specialist subjects or board-exam revision.
Do tutors come to the door in Raj Nagar and Kavi Nagar?
In most homes, yes. Raj Nagar's numbered sectors and Kavi Nagar's lettered blocks are largely independent houses and builder floors, so there is no society gate to clear. Give the block code and house number, and pick a slot that avoids the evening rush around Hapur Road.
How much does home tuition cost in Raj Nagar and nearby areas?
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end, and specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees, and you see each one before the free demo.
