Home Tuition in Vaishali, Vasundhara and Sahibabad, Ghaziabad
In Vaishali, Kaushambi, Vasundhara and Sahibabad, home tuition is shaped by the metro more than anywhere else in Ghaziabad. Vaishali and Kaushambi sit on the Blue Line, the Red Line runs along GT Road through Sahibabad, and most homes in the older sectors and colonies are builder floors or houses where the tutor comes straight to the door. The main things to plan are the last leg from the station and a class time that avoids the office rush.
This guide covers four neighbouring zones on the trans-Hindon side near the Delhi border: Vaishali and Kaushambi, Vasundhara, Sahibabad and Rajendra Nagar, and the Surya Nagar and Ramprastha colonies. For each it sets out the homes, the stations tutors use, gate or doorstep arrival, and timing.

Vaishali and Kaushambi
Vaishali and Kaushambi stations opened on 14 July 2011 on the Yamuna Bank–Vaishali branch of the Blue Line. Vaishali is the terminus, standing in Vaishali Sector 4, a planned sector built by the Ghaziabad Development Authority; Kaushambi is the station before it. Many tutors simply walk from the station into Sector 4 or take a short e-rickshaw ride.
Homes vary by sector. Builder floors dominate Sector 6, and Sector 1 and Sector 3 mix floors with apartments; in a floor, the tutor rings the bell. Sector 5 is one of the larger sectors, with floors, apartments, houses and plots. Sector 7 is mainly high-rise complexes and Sector 9 is dominated by apartment complexes, so there the tutor needs a gate entry and, in Sector 7, the visitor-parking rules.
Kaushambi lies on the Delhi–UP border opposite Anand Vihar and falls under the Vasundhara Zone of the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation. Most families live in societies, so register the tutor at the gate in advance. Across the border, Anand Vihar Namo Bharat station opened on 5 January 2025; it is the only underground station on the Delhi–Meerut corridor and interchanges with the Blue and Pink Line metro, Anand Vihar Terminal railway station and the ISBT. Few parts of Ghaziabad are easier for a tutor to reach without a car.
Timing: roads near the metro and the main Vaishali roundabout fill up at office hours, so late-afternoon, post-rush or weekend slots run most smoothly.
Vasundhara
Vasundhara is a township of numbered sectors under the UP Housing and Development Board (Awas Evam Vikas Parishad), lying between Vaishali, Indirapuram, Mohan Nagar and Sahibabad. There is no metro station inside it; rail links sit around the edges, and tutors finish the trip by e-rickshaw or come by scooter.
- Southern sectors: Vaishali on the Blue Line is the usual station for Sectors 13 to 18. Residents of Sector 17 count the nearness of Vaishali metro as its biggest advantage, and many tutors walk in.
- Northern sectors: for Sector 1, the Red Line stations around Mohan Nagar are the handiest.
- Sectors 11 and 12: Shyam Park on the Red Line is among the closest stations, with an e-rickshaw for the last leg.
- Namo Bharat: the Sahibabad station, in Sahibabad Industrial Area Site 4 on the Vasundhara side, opened to the public on 21 October 2023.
Homes differ by sector too. Sector 1 is mainly low-rise builder floors, so the tutor comes to the door. Sector 13 is one of the more varied sectors, with apartments, floors, houses and plots. Sector 15 and Sector 16 are largely apartments, so register the tutor with security before the first class.
Timing: active markets in Sector 11, Sector 14 and Sector 16 make evening arrivals slower. Book a slot after the rush or a weekend morning.
Sahibabad and Rajendra Nagar
Sahibabad is a group of industrial, residential and commercial areas under the Vasundhara Zone of the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation, touching the Delhi and Noida borders. The Red Line runs overhead along GT Road. Its extension from Dilshad Garden to Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Adda) was inaugurated on 8 March 2019, and passenger services began on 9 March 2019. Its stations in this zone are Shaheed Nagar, Raj Bagh, Major Mohit Sharma Rajendra Nagar, Shyam Park and Mohan Nagar.
- Shaheed Nagar, right at the border, has its station beside the colony, so a tutor can often walk from the platform.
- Shyam Park and Lajpat Nagar (Sahibabad) sit beside Shyam Park station. In Lajpat Nagar, inner block roads are narrow and parking is limited, so the metro suits tutors better than a car.
- Shalimar Garden is mostly low-rise flats above shops; Raj Bagh and Shaheed Nagar are the usual stations. Shalimar Garden Extension uses Raj Bagh and an auto along Wazirabad Road.
- Mohan Nagar station is one of the busiest in Ghaziabad and works as a transfer point, with autos and buses to Vaishali and Anand Vihar.
- Pasonda, near the border, is close to Sahibabad Junction and the Red Line; its lanes are narrow, so add a clear landmark to the booking.
Sahibabad Junction is on the Kanpur–Delhi section of Northern Railway, and the Sahibabad Namo Bharat station has linked the area to Ghaziabad since October 2023. Most homes are in plotted lanes with no society gate. Timing: GT Road fills up at office and factory shift hours, so late-afternoon or weekend slots are the easiest to keep regular.
Surya Nagar and Ramprastha
These are settled, plotted colonies on Ghaziabad's western border with East Delhi. Ramprastha is known for wide roads, parks and independent houses. Surya Nagar is mostly builder floors, many of them three-bedroom, set in blocks with parks. Brij Vihar is a quiet block-wise colony of builder floors, and Chander Nagar has independent floors with markets within walking distance.
Rail links sit around the edges. Dilshad Garden on the Red Line is the usual stop for Chander Nagar and Brij Vihar, Surya Nagar also uses Jhilmil, and Ramprastha looks to Kaushambi on the Blue Line and Anand Vihar railway station. Autos cover the last stretch. With plotted homes, there is no gate registration in most lanes, but a block letter and house number in the booking help the first visit.
Timing: the border roads are busiest at office hours, so a settled after-school slot or a weekend class works well.
Home or online across these zones?
Good rail links mean a wider pool of home tutors here than in many parts of the city: a tutor from East Delhi, Noida or elsewhere in trans-Hindon Ghaziabad can often reach you by metro. The gaps are specialist subjects and senior boards.
- Junior and middle school: a home tutor from your own sector or colony, twice a week.
- Classes 9 to 12: home classes for the main subject, with online sessions for revision before tests.
- IB, IGCSE, JEE or NEET: start online with the right specialist if none lives nearby, and add home classes later.
Our comparison of home and online tutors helps you split the week, and the guide to home tuition fees in Ghaziabad turns the fee range into a budget.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a metro station in Vasundhara?
No. There is no metro station inside the township. Tutors use Vaishali on the Blue Line for the southern sectors, Mohan Nagar or Shyam Park on the Red Line for the northern ones, or the Sahibabad Namo Bharat station, and finish the trip by e-rickshaw or scooter. A tutor from a nearby sector is simplest.
Which areas are easiest for a tutor who travels by metro?
Vaishali Sector 4, where the Blue Line branch ends, and Kaushambi, one stop before it, are both close to stations. On the Red Line, Shaheed Nagar, Shyam Park and Lajpat Nagar in Sahibabad sit beside their stations, so a tutor can often walk the last stretch rather than wait for an e-rickshaw.
Do tutors need a gate pass in Vaishali and Vasundhara?
It depends on the building. Builder floors and houses, common in Vaishali Sector 6 and Vasundhara Sector 1, get a doorstep visit. Apartment complexes, such as those in Vaishali Sectors 7 and 9 and Vasundhara Sectors 15 and 16, need the tutor registered at the gate before the first class.
Is Kaushambi part of Ghaziabad?
Yes. Kaushambi lies on the Delhi–UP border, directly opposite Anand Vihar, and falls under the Vasundhara Zone of the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation. Its Blue Line station opened in 2011, and the Anand Vihar hub across the border adds the Pink Line, railway, bus terminus and a Namo Bharat station.
When should classes near GT Road be scheduled?
GT Road through Sahibabad, Rajendra Nagar and Mohan Nagar is busiest at office and factory shift hours. A late-afternoon slot, a class that starts after the evening rush, or a weekend session is the easiest to keep regular. A tutor who comes by Red Line avoids most of the road.
