Home Tuition in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad: A Khand-by-Khand Guide
In Indirapuram, the khand you live in decides how home tuition works. In the society-heavy pockets, such as Ahinsa Khand 1 or Abhay Khand 3, register the tutor at the gate before the first class; in the house-and-builder-floor pockets, such as Shakti Khand 3 or Niti Khand 2, the tutor rings the bell. Either way, a slot that starts after the office rush on Kala Pathar Road and Kaveri Marg is the one most likely to stay on time.
This guide walks through Indirapuram khand by khand: how the township is laid out, which pockets are gated and which are doorstep, which Blue Line station tutors use, how to time a weekday class, and when an online tutor makes more sense.
What is Indirapuram?
Indirapuram was founded on 28 February 1996 as a residential sub-city of Ghaziabad. It sits on the trans-Hindon side, between NH-9 (the old NH-24, Delhi–Meerut road) and the Noida border, with Vasundhara, Vaishali and Noida Sectors 62 and 63 as neighbours. Housing is a blend of high-rise group-housing societies, builder floors and independent houses.
The Ghaziabad Development Authority and the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation signed an agreement in September 2024 to hand the township over, making it Ghaziabad's sixth municipal zone, with civic services moving to the corporation from 1 October 2024. For parents, the practical point is simpler: Indirapuram is organised into named khands, and most are split into numbered pockets, which is how tutors and NXTutors area pages find your home.
How are the khands laid out?
There are seven khands: Ahinsa, Nyay, Shakti, Gyan, Niti, Abhay and Vaibhav. The table groups their pockets with the kind of homes you find and the Blue Line station tutors usually use.
| Khand | Pocket pages | Typical homes | Station tutors use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ahinsa Khand | Ahinsa Khand 1, Ahinsa Khand 2 | Mostly high-rise apartment societies | Noida Electronic City |
| Nyay Khand | Nyay Khand 1, Nyay Khand 2, Nyay Khand 3 | Societies in 1; houses and standalone buildings mixed with flats in 2 and 3 | Vaishali; Noida Electronic City also for 3 |
| Shakti Khand | Shakti Khand 1, Shakti Khand 2, Shakti Khand 3, Shakti Khand 4 | Builder floors and independent houses, with some societies; 3 is mostly houses | Vaishali; Noida Electronic City for 2 |
| Gyan Khand | Gyan Khand 1, Gyan Khand 2, Gyan Khand 3, Gyan Khand 4 | Builder floors, apartments and gated complexes | Vaishali, with Noida Electronic City as an alternative |
| Niti Khand | Niti Khand 1, Niti Khand 2, Niti Khand 3 | Independent houses and builder floors alongside apartments | Noida Electronic City for 1; Vaishali for 2; either for 3 |
| Abhay Khand | Abhay Khand 1, Abhay Khand 2, Abhay Khand 3 | Houses and small buildings in 1; gated societies in 2 and 3 | Vaishali; Kaushambi as a second option for 2 |
| Vaibhav Khand | Vaibhav Khand (one pocket) | Societies and builder floors among busy local markets | Noida Electronic City; Noida Sector 62 as another option |
Society pocket or doorstep pocket?
Where every class starts at a gate
Ahinsa Khand 1 and 2, Nyay Khand 1 and Abhay Khand 2 and 3 are largely gated societies. Here the arrival routine matters more than the trip:
- Before the demo: give security the tutor's name and phone number, or approve them on the society's visitor app.
- On the first visit: be ready to confirm the tutor by phone. In Nyay Khand 1 and Abhay Khand 3, a resident's confirmation is sometimes needed.
- Once you continue: register the tutor as a regular visitor, and share the tower, flat number and where a two-wheeler can park.
Where the tutor comes to the door
Shakti Khand 3 is mostly independent houses, and Niti Khand 2 is mostly houses and builder floors. Abhay Khand 1 is mostly independent houses and small apartment buildings. In these pockets there is no gate to clear, which makes short, frequent classes practical. For the first visit, share a clear landmark along with the house number.
The mixed pockets
Most of Gyan Khand, Nyay Khand 2 and 3, Shakti Khand 1, 2 and 4 and Niti Khand 1 and 3 mix builder floors with society flats, so check which applies to your building. Vaibhav Khand, one of Indirapuram's busier pockets, adds active markets to that mix.
Which metro station should a tutor use?
Two Blue Line stations serve Indirapuram, and a shared auto or e-rickshaw covers the last leg from either.
- Vaishali: the terminus of the Blue Line branch, opened on 14 July 2011. It is the usual station for Nyay, Gyan and Abhay Khand and for Shakti Khand 3 and 4 and Niti Khand 2, and Abhay Khand 2 is one of the pockets closest to it.
- Noida Electronic City: opened on 9 March 2019, with an entry and exit on the Indirapuram side. It is the nearest station for Ahinsa Khand, Niti Khand 1, Shakti Khand 2 and Vaibhav Khand.
Two other links help tutors coming from elsewhere. The Namo Bharat station at Sahibabad is an option for Ahinsa Khand 2 from the Meerut Road side, and tutors from cis-Hindon Ghaziabad can use Mohan Nagar on the Red Line for Shakti Khand 4. Inside Niti Khand 1 public transport is limited, so a tutor with a two-wheeler fits in more easily.
When should a weekday class start?
Kala Pathar Road and Kaveri Marg are the roads most families use, and both are busiest at office hours. A few timing rules follow from the area pages:
- Kala Pathar Road pockets (Ahinsa Khand, Nyay Khand 2, Niti Khand 1, Shakti Khand 1): start the class once the evening rush has eased, or late in the afternoon.
- CISF Road side (Ahinsa Khand 2, Shakti Khand 2): mornings are heavy, so mid-afternoon and post-rush evening slots suit tutors.
- Near NH-9 and the Hindon Elevated Road (Abhay Khand, Nyay Khand 1, Gyan Khand 2): the Hindon Elevated Road, opened in March 2018, links Raj Nagar Extension to UP Gate, and traffic around the highway builds at office hours. Pick a slot a little after the peak.
- Vaibhav Khand and Niti Khand 3: markets make evenings slower, so leave a small buffer or pick a time before or after the busiest hour.
Weekend mornings are the easiest time of all for a longer session.
Home or online in Indirapuram?
With so many families in one township, a local home tutor is often close by. The gap is specialists: a tutor for IB, IGCSE or entrance preparation may not live in your khand.
- Junior classes: a home tutor from your own or the next khand, so travel stays short.
- Classes 9 and 10: home classes for the main subjects, with an online session before tests if needed.
- Classes 11 and 12, IB, IGCSE, JEE or NEET: start online with the right specialist if none lives nearby, and add a home class when a suitable local tutor is free.

Frequently asked questions
What are the khands of Indirapuram?
Indirapuram has seven khands: Ahinsa, Nyay, Shakti, Gyan, Niti, Abhay and Vaibhav. Most are split into numbered pockets, such as Shakti Khand 1 to 4 or Abhay Khand 1 to 3. NXTutors has an area page for each pocket, so give your khand and pocket number when you ask for a tutor.
Which metro station is nearest to our khand?
Vaishali on the Blue Line serves most of Nyay, Gyan, Abhay and Shakti Khand and Niti Khand 2. Noida Electronic City is nearer for Ahinsa Khand, Vaibhav Khand, Niti Khand 1 and Shakti Khand 2. Tutors usually finish the trip from either station by shared auto or e-rickshaw.
Do tutors need a gate pass in Indirapuram?
In the society pockets, yes. Ahinsa Khand, Nyay Khand 1 and Abhay Khand 2 and 3 are largely gated, so register the tutor with security before the demo. In Shakti Khand 3, Niti Khand 2 and Abhay Khand 1, most homes are houses or builder floors, and the tutor comes to the door.
When is the easiest time for a home class?
A weekday slot that starts after the evening office rush on Kala Pathar Road and Kaveri Marg is the most reliable, and mid-afternoon suits pockets near CISF Road. Weekend mornings are easier still. If your tutor lives in your own or the next khand, timing matters much less.
How much does home tuition cost in Indirapuram?
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end, and specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, which you see before the free demo.
