Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Class 12 asks a student to do two things at once. One is to finish a two-year board course and write it out in full in the examination hall. The other, for many, is to sit an entrance test that rewards speed and accuracy under pressure. The two overlap a great deal, but not completely, and the weeks are short. In Ghaziabad the board may be CBSE, the UP Board's Intermediate, ISC or the IB Diploma, and the evening may already belong to a coaching batch. This page is by Ajay Vatsyayan, who teaches IB, IGCSE and ISC maths, with the NXTutors Academic Team. It explains what each board expects in the final year, why board marks still count, how the months fit together, how a home tutor works beside coaching, and how tutors reach each part of the city.
Maths is examined as an 80-mark paper with 20 marks of internal assessment, and physics and chemistry as 70 marks of theory with 30 of practical work. The Class XII board paper covers the whole syllabus, and the board's curriculum signals more questions set in real-life contexts. A tutor's job is to make sure every NCERT chapter is covered, not just the ones that suit the entrance test, and that long answers are laid out the way examiners expect.
The Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad holds the Intermediate examination after the +2 stage. Its files for the 2026-27 session show how the science papers are weighted, which is useful for planning revision:
| Subject | Paper | What it means for revision |
|---|---|---|
| Physics (151) | 70-mark paper in five sections, 3 hours 15 minutes, plus a 30-mark practical; 23 and 10 needed to pass. Optics carries 13 marks; electrostatics, magnetic effect and magnetism, induction and AC, atoms and nuclei, and electronic devices 8 each; current electricity 7; dual nature 6; electromagnetic waves 4 | Optics and the electricity-magnetism block deserve the most revision time |
| Chemistry (152) | 70 marks in seven questions: six one-mark multiple-choice items, then questions worth two to five marks; at least 8 marks numerical | Regular numerical practice, not only reactions and theory |
| Mathematics (131) | 100 marks, 3 hours 15 minutes, nine compulsory questions with parts | No practical cushion, so timed full papers matter most |
The board also runs a compartment examination; read its current notice rather than relying on what an older sibling remembers. Our UP Board tutors in Ghaziabad page has more on Intermediate.
ISC Mathematics (860) is an 80-mark paper with 20 marks for project work, and it cannot be combined with ISC Applied Mathematics. For the 2027 and 2028 examinations, all seven units are compulsory, with the older Section B and C choice removed, and calculus accounts for 35 of the 80 marks. A visiting examiner conducts the project viva, so the student must be able to explain every line of the project.
Each of six subjects is graded 1 to 7, with up to three further points from the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge, for a maximum of 45; reaching 24 points is one of the conditions for the diploma. The maths exploration is 20% of the grade at SL and HL. The revised Extended Essay, first assessed in May 2027, allows up to 4,000 words with a 500-word reflective statement. A tutor may explain criteria and question a draft's reasoning, but the work must be the student's own.

They do. The JEE (Main) 2026 information bulletin set a Class 12 condition for admission to NITs and similar institutes on a JEE (Main) rank: at least 75% aggregate (65% for SC, ST and PwD candidates), or a place in the highest 20 percentile of the student's own board for their category. The condition is restated each year, so check the current bulletin. Board answers, written in full, build the understanding that rapid multiple-choice practice can skip. JEE (Advanced) 2026 was open to the first 2,50,000 JEE (Main) candidates, and NEET (UG) is held once a year; see our JEE and NEET pages for Ghaziabad.
| Period | Board work | Entrance work |
|---|---|---|
| April to June | New chapters at speed; practical files started | Class 11 gaps closed, since entrance papers test both years |
| July to September | Steady teaching and first-term exams in many schools | Topic tests from coaching; the tutor clears doubts weekly |
| October to December | Syllabus finished; practicals, projects, IA or EE deadlines; pre-boards around the new year | Full mock tests begin; error logs kept |
| January to March | Sample and model papers, then the boards | JEE (Main) first session usually falls in this window |
| April to May | Results awaited; IB students sit their May series | JEE (Main) second session, JEE (Advanced) and NEET (UG) generally follow |
Official notices set the actual dates each year. Our guides to Class 12 physics and Class 12 calculus and algebra help with the board side.
By Class 12, each science or commerce subject is deep enough that the most useful help comes from someone who teaches that subject at this level week after week. A general tutor covering physics, chemistry and maths often spreads too thin, especially in the second half of the year when mock tests expose specific weak chapters. Many families start with the one or two weakest subjects and add help later only if needed. Our Class 12 physics, Class 12 chemistry and Class 12 maths pages explain each subject.
The same logic holds outside science. A commerce student usually needs the most help with accountancy, where partnership accounts, company accounts and the analysis of statements reward steady written practice, and with economics diagrams and their explanations. A biology student preparing for NEET needs someone who reads NCERT closely enough to question every line. Our Ghaziabad pages for accountancy, economics and biology describe what to look for in each.
The tutor should not repeat the coaching lecture. If your child is too tired after coaching for a fourth hour of teaching, a shorter, focused session works better.
| Zone | How the tutor arrives | What to watch |
|---|---|---|
| Sahibabad and Rajendra Nagar | Red Line on GT Road, Sahibabad Junction, or the Sahibabad Namo Bharat station | Shift-change traffic; book weekend mock reviews |
| Surya Nagar and Ramprastha | Local or East Delhi tutors; metro to Dilshad Garden or Kaushambi plus auto | Border roads at office time |
| Raj Nagar, Kavi Nagar and Old Ghaziabad | Shaheed Sthal, Guldhar or the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat station, then auto | Hapur Road and Meerut Mod in the evening |
| Raj Nagar Extension and NH-9 | In-township tutors; road and expressway | Late slots after coaching are easiest online |
| Indirapuram, Vaishali, Vasundhara | Blue Line, e-rickshaw or scooter | Office rush on the border roads |
Partly, for most students. Online suits late doubt sessions after coaching, specialist IB or ISC help, and the final weeks before the boards when no one wants to lose time on the road. Home sessions remain worthwhile for long written practice in maths and chemistry, and for students who focus better with someone at the table. Our online tutors for Ghaziabad students page explains a blended plan.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Final-year quotes rise with entrance-level depth, IB HL and IA guidance, and with long trips at peak hours. Budget by subject and by month, since sessions often increase before the boards. See the pricing guide and home tuition fees in Ghaziabad; each fee is shown before the demo.
Off Wazirabad Road, Pasonda is a growing pocket of houses and small buildings with Rajendra Nagar station the usual metro stop, and Rajendra Nagar itself is plotted floors and houses beside GT Road, where a late-afternoon slot avoids the shift rush.
East of the river, Kavi Nagar and Shastri Nagar use lettered blocks off Hapur Road, and Nandgram, on the Meerut Road side, can be reached by Red Line or Namo Bharat and an e-rickshaw. Beside the expressway, Pratap Vihar has numbered sectors around Leelawati Chowk, easy for tutors driving in from Indirapuram or Vijay Nagar outside peak hours.

Yes, Class 12 board marks still count for a Ghaziabad JEE aspirant, because the JEE (Main) 2026 bulletin set a board condition for NIT-type admission. It asked for at least 75% aggregate (65% for SC, ST and PwD candidates) or a place within the highest 20 percentile of the student's own board. The rule is restated yearly, so read the current bulletin.
For Ghaziabad students, UP Board Intermediate physics (151) is a 70-mark paper of 3 hours 15 minutes plus a 30-mark practical, with 23 and 10 needed to pass. Optics is the largest unit at 13 marks; electrostatics, magnetism, induction and AC, atoms and nuclei, and electronic devices carry 8 each, so those deserve the most revision.
UP Board Intermediate mathematics (131) asks a Ghaziabad student to handle a 100-mark paper of 3 hours 15 minutes with nine compulsory questions, each with parts. There is no practical cushion, so timed full papers matter most. Chemistry (152), by contrast, has 70 marks with at least 8 marks numerical.
A home tutor in Ghaziabad works beside Class 12 coaching by clearing module doubts one to one, keeping the board course whole and reviewing mock tests error by error. Errors are sorted into concept, calculation and time. The tutor should not repeat the coaching lecture, and a shorter session suits a student tired after coaching.
One tutor for physics, chemistry and maths is rarely enough for Class 12 in Ghaziabad, because each subject is deep enough to need someone teaching it at this level weekly. A general tutor spreads thin once mock tests expose weak chapters. Start with the one or two weakest subjects and add help later if needed.
For Ghaziabad ISC students sitting in 2027 and 2028, all seven Mathematics units are compulsory, with the older Section B and C choice removed. Calculus carries 35 of the 80 written marks, and project work adds 20, with a viva by a visiting examiner. ISC Mathematics cannot be combined with ISC Applied Mathematics.
An IB Diploma student in Ghaziabad is scored out of 45, with each of six subjects graded 1 to 7. Up to three more points come from the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge, and reaching 24 points is one condition for the diploma. A tutor may explain criteria, but the work must be the student's own.
Partly, for most Class 12 students in Ghaziabad: online suits late doubt sessions after coaching, specialist IB or ISC help, and the last weeks before the boards. Keep home sessions for long written practice in maths and chemistry if your child focuses better with someone at the table.
