What home tuition costs in Noida

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Class 12 home tutors in Noida: one year, a board result and an entrance score

For a Noida student in Class 12, the board paper and the entrance test arrive in the same few months. The board might be CBSE, the UP Board's Intermediate, ISC or the IB Diploma; the test might be JEE, NEET or CUET. Treating them as two separate projects usually ends with two sets of classes, no time left to revise and a tired student in March. This page comes from Ajay Vatsyayan, the NXTutors author for ISC and IB maths, working with the NXTutors Academic Team. It explains what each board expects in the final year, why the board result still matters to entrance routes, how the calendar fits together, when one specialist per subject is worth it, how tutors reach your sector and what to ask at the demo.

What does each board expect in Class 12?

CBSE

The Class 12 board paper covers the whole syllabus, and CBSE has said its papers will carry more questions set in real-life situations. Maths is an 80-mark paper with 20 internal marks; physics and chemistry are 70 marks of theory and 30 of practical work, which means the practical record, investigatory project and viva carry marks worth chasing. The NCERT books are the base; our CBSE Class 12 physics guide and maths guide go chapter by chapter.

UP Board Intermediate

The Intermediate examination comes at the end of the board's 10+2 course and is conducted by the Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh, which prescribes the courses and books. For Class 12 the board's website carries subject syllabi, a month-wise syllabus and model papers for subjects including physics, chemistry, biology, maths and accountancy. A tutor should teach from the prescribed books in the student's medium, work the model papers until the board's phrasing feels familiar, and take the current paper pattern and any compartment-exam rules from upmsp.edu.in rather than from older guides. More on the board is on our UP Board tutors in Noida page.

ISC

In ISC Mathematics (860), the written paper is worth 80 and project work 20; the subject cannot sit alongside ISC Applied Mathematics. CISCE's scheme for the 2027 and 2028 papers has every one of seven units compulsory, with the old Section B and C options removed, and calculus makes up 35 marks out of 80. The project viva is taken by an examiner who visits the school.

IB Diploma, second year

Each subject is graded from 1 to 7, and the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge add up to three points, for a total of 45; 24 points is one of the conditions for the diploma. The maths exploration carries 20% of the grade at both SL and HL. The revised Extended Essay, first assessed in May 2027, allows up to 4,000 words plus a 500-word reflective statement.

On every board, coursework belongs to the student. Teaching the ideas, unpacking the marking criteria and challenging an argument are fine; choosing the topic, drafting or rewriting a project, IA or Extended Essay is not. Board pages for Noida: CBSE, ICSE and ISC and IB.

Do board marks matter if an entrance test decides admission?

Yes, for two reasons that families often forget once coaching takes over.

  • Eligibility. The JEE (Main) 2026 information bulletin required, for admission to NITs and similar institutes on a JEE (Main) rank, an aggregate of at least 75% in Class 12 (65% for SC, ST and PwD candidates), or a rank within the top 20 percentile of the student's own board for their category. The condition is restated each year, so read the current bulletin.
  • Understanding. Board answers have to be written out in full, which forces the kind of understanding that rapid multiple-choice practice can skip, and the CBSE, UP Board and ISC science syllabuses overlap heavily with JEE and NEET.

For 2026, the top 2,50,000 JEE (Main) candidates could register for JEE (Advanced), whose official site is jeeadv.ac.in. NTA holds NEET (UG) once a year. CUET (UG), another NTA test, feeds undergraduate admissions at Central Universities and other universities that sign up, and carries most weight for commerce and humanities students. Confirm each number in the current year's notice before relying on it.

How does the final year fit together?

Exact dates come only from official notices, but the shape of the year in Noida is predictable:

Class 12 in Noida, stretch by stretch
StretchWhat is happeningWhat tutoring should do
April to JuneNew session; coaching test series begins; summer breakTeach the heaviest chapters early, with board-style answers every week alongside entrance practice
July to SeptemberUnit tests and the first-term examClose each chapter in both styles; keep practical work up to date
October to DecemberSyllabus completion, practicals, projects and pre-boards around the turn of the yearFull board papers and practical preparation; ease entrance work for those weeks
January to MarchThe board papers, with the opening JEE (Main) session typically in the same weeksPaper-by-paper revision and doubt clearing only
April to MayThe later JEE (Main) session, then JEE (Advanced) and NEET (UG); May papers for IB and Cambridge candidatesTimed entrance practice and mock analysis

Our JEE home tutors in Noida and NEET home tutors in Noida pages go deeper into each test.

Why is one specialist per subject usually better now?

A combined maths-and-science tutor is sensible in Class 8 or 9. By Class 12 the demands per subject are heavy: this year's board paper, the practical or coursework rules, and frequently the JEE or NEET treatment of the same topic. Someone excellent at CBSE chemistry has not necessarily assessed an ISC project, and an experienced UP Board maths teacher will not automatically know the IB's IA criteria.

  • PCM: families most often ask for help with calculus, and with electricity, magnetism and optics. Our Noida maths and physics pages and the national Class 12 physics guide cover these.
  • PCB: physics tends to be the weak link, with biology needing regular NCERT revision rather than teaching; see chemistry and biology tutors in Noida.
  • Commerce: see commerce home tutors in Noida for how accountancy, economics and business studies fit together.

Two specialists is plenty for nearly everyone. Let school tests and mocks show where marks leak most, and spend there.

Should a home tutor work alongside coaching?

Often, yes, if each does a different job. A coaching batch brings the entrance syllabus plan, a test series and a sense of where the student stands against others. Working one to one, a tutor covers the gaps a big batch leaves: a backlog of doubts, one subject lagging behind, board-style writing and practicals. Signs that a coached student also needs a tutor: test scores flat for several weeks, school marks slipping, or solutions that make sense when explained but problems that cannot be started alone.

To make the week work, fix school hours, coaching days and real travel time first; book the tutor for days without a batch, either at home or on screen, so the student is not travelling twice; and keep two blocks a week free for mock analysis and the doubt list. Our guide on coaching or a home tutor for JEE applies to Noida families too.

Should Class 12 tuition be online?

Often, at least in part. Tutors for ISC, IB Higher Level or advanced entrance work are few in any one area, and a video lesson can start at nine at night after coaching ends. A tutor in the room is still better for a student who loses momentum alone during long problem sets. Whichever you choose, the tutor must see the written working live for maths, physics and accountancy.

Questions for the free Class 12 demo

There is no charge for the first class. Five questions worth asking:

  1. Which final-year courses are you teaching at the moment, and is mine among them?
  2. Can you show me one topic as a board answer and then as a JEE or NEET question?
  3. How will you work around my child's coaching days and school timetable?
  4. What happens in the weeks of practicals and pre-boards?
  5. Where do you draw the line when helping with projects, IAs or the Extended Essay?

A poor fit is easy to fix: another shortlisted tutor gives a separate demo, and changing later is free as well. All tutors complete an ID check when they join; the Verified badge appears only after our team has reviewed the ID.

Class 12 tuition fees in Noida

Where we match Class 12 tutors in Noida

Sector 12 is houses and floors on authority plots with busy local markets, so agree a parking spot with a tutor who drives. Sector 33, near Noida City Centre, is mainly apartment societies, and two nearby Blue Line stations make it easy for a tutor who travels by train. Also known as Arun Vihar, Sector 37 is a gated community near the Mahamaya Flyover, where security checks the tutor in at the entrance.

Sector 79 is large group-housing societies with green belts, closest to the Sector 101 station. In Sector 168, high-rise societies sit beside business parks, and a tutor from Sector 142 or 144 can reach you on local roads. Sector 121 is home to a very large society of many towers, where a tutor already teaching one family can often add another on the same trip.

For the year before, our Class 11 page for Noida sets out the first-term plan. To start now, share the board and subjects, which entrance exams are planned, when coaching meets and where you live; you get two or three matched tutors per subject with fees, a free first class and free switching later. Class 12 Home Tutor in Noida: common questions

How do I find a Class 12 home tutor in Noida?

To find a Class 12 home tutor in Noida, share the board and subjects, the entrance exams planned, coaching days and your sector. For each subject we send two or three matched tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free.

What do Class 12 home tutors charge in Noida?

Class 12 home tutors in Noida set their own fees, and each one appears on your shortlist before the free demo. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. The board, entrance-level content, the tutor's experience, travel at your hour and frequency set where a quote falls.

Do Class 12 board marks matter for JEE admissions for Noida students?

Yes, Class 12 board marks matter for Noida students seeking NIT-type seats through JEE (Main) ranks. The 2026 NTA bulletin required a 75% aggregate, or 65% for SC, ST and PwD candidates, or a place within the highest 20 percentile of the student's own board. NTA restates this every year, so read the latest bulletin before planning.

What should a UP Board Intermediate tutor in Noida use in Class 12?

A UP Board Intermediate tutor in Noida should teach from the board's prescribed textbooks in your child's medium, plus its Class 12 model papers and month-wise syllabus. Model papers on upmsp.edu.in show how the board phrases questions far better than guidebooks. Take the current paper pattern and any compartment-exam rules from the board's own notices, not from older material.

How is ISC Class 12 maths examined in 2027 and 2028 for Noida students?

For Noida students sitting ISC Mathematics (860) in 2027 and 2028, there is an 80-mark written paper and 20 marks of project work. All seven units are compulsory with no Section B or C choice, and calculus carries 35 of the 80 marks. The project viva is taken by a visiting examiner, and the subject cannot be combined with Applied Mathematics.

Is one tutor enough for every Class 12 subject in Noida?

Rarely; most Class 12 students in Noida gain more from one or two subject specialists than from one tutor covering everything. A final-year tutor must know the current board paper, the practical or coursework rules and often how JEE or NEET tests the same chapter. Let mocks and school tests show where marks leak most, and spend there.

Can a Class 12 home tutor in Noida work alongside JEE or NEET coaching?

Yes, a Class 12 home tutor in Noida works well alongside JEE or NEET coaching if each does a different job. Coaching supplies the entrance plan and test series; the tutor clears the doubt backlog, lifts a lagging subject and keeps board answers and lab work in order. Book tutor sessions on non-coaching days so the student does not travel twice in one evening.

How far can a Noida tutor help with an Extended Essay or an ISC project?

A Noida tutor can teach the content, explain the assessment criteria and question your child's reasoning on an Extended Essay or ISC project, but nothing more. A tutor must not choose the topic or write or edit the project, internal assessment or essay. The work must remain the student's own on every board, and good tutors say so at the demo.

Should Class 12 tuition in Noida be online?

Class 12 tuition in Noida often works online at least in part, because ISC, IB Higher Level and advanced entrance tutors are few in any one area. A video lesson can start at nine at night after coaching ends. A tutor in the room still suits a student who loses momentum alone, and for maths, physics and accountancy the tutor must see the working live.

How does the Class 12 year fit together for a Noida student?

For a Noida Class 12 student, the heaviest chapters should be taught early, from April to June, with board-style answers alongside entrance practice. July to September brings unit tests and the first-term exam, and October to December brings practicals, projects and pre-boards. In the final weeks before the board papers, tutoring narrows to paper-by-paper revision, and exact dates come only from official notices.
