Old Noida is the oldest part of Noida, the sectors nearest Delhi. Most families live in plotted houses and builder floors, with a few large managed colonies and village pockets. Four Blue Line stations run through it, so many homes are a walk or a short auto ride from a train. The things to plan around are evening traffic towards the DND and around the Sector 18 market, parking in older lanes, and monsoon water on low-lying roads.

| Sectors on NXTutors | 11, 12, 14, 14A, 15, 15A, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and 33 |
| Main housing | Houses, kothis and builder floors on authority plots; managed colonies of flats in Sectors 21, 25 and 33; authority flats in Sector 22; village pockets such as Jhundpura and Nithari |
| Metro | Blue Line: Noida Sector 15, Sector 16, Sector 18 and Botanical Garden (also on the Magenta Line); New Ashok Nagar just over the Delhi border |
| Main roads | DND Flyway (lands at Sector 15A), Captain Vijayant Thapar Marg, Dadri Main Road, Noida Road, Amaltash Marg, Narmada Marg, Swami Vivekanand Road, Kamal Marg |
| Known slow spots | The approach to the DND, the Film City Flyover, and the streets around the Sector 18 market in the evening |
| Entry routine | A doorbell in most lanes; a gate entry in managed colonies and societies |
| Next zones | Central Noida to the south and east; the Sector 62 belt beyond Sector 56 |
Noida was set up in 1976 and laid out in numbered sectors on a grid, and the sectors in this zone were among the first to fill. They are not all alike, though. For tuition it helps to think of five clusters.
These sectors sit by the border and the DND Flyway, which lands at Sector 15A. Housing is plotted: houses and builder floors in 14 and 15, low-density plots in 14A, and bungalows and villas on large plots in 15A. Noida Sector 15 station is close to all four.
Sector 11 touches Delhi at New Kondli and mixes houses with commercial and light-industrial plots and the Jhundpura village pocket. Sector 12 is plotted houses around parks. Sector 22 is denser, with Noida Authority LIG and MIG flats and small plots, and Sector 23 is a quieter mix of plotted homes, floors and a few societies along Kamal Marg. None has a metro station inside, so tutors often finish by auto.
These sectors surround the Sector 18 market, Noida's central shopping hub. Housing is a mix of houses, builder floors, low-rise flats and some apartment societies. The Sector 16 and Sector 18 stations and Botanical Garden are close, but the market streets are busy into the evening.
Much of Sectors 21 and 25 is Jal Vayu Vihar, a large colony of flats; Sector 25 was developed by the Air Force Naval Housing Board. Sector 33 is mainly apartment societies, including Rail Vihar. Here the tutor goes through a gate first.
Sector 30 has houses and kothis in lettered blocks and the district hospital. Sector 31 has planned house blocks and Nithari village, with narrow lanes. Both lie towards the Botanical Garden and Noida City Centre side.
Resident reviews on property portals for the sectors in this zone return to the same handful of everyday themes. We turn each one into a planning point, not a verdict on any sector.
The Blue Line enters Noida from New Ashok Nagar in Delhi and runs along Captain Vijayant Thapar Marg through Noida Sector 15, Noida Sector 16 and Noida Sector 18, all opened in November 2009, before reaching Botanical Garden. Botanical Garden became an interchange with the Magenta Line in December 2017, so a tutor from south Delhi can also arrive by train. New Ashok Nagar station connects with the Delhi–Meerut regional rail corridor.
Which station suits you depends on the cluster. Sector 15 serves the Delhi-edge sectors and is the usual station for Sectors 11 and 12, with an auto for the rest of the way. Sector 16 serves Sectors 17, 19, 20 and 21. Sector 18 serves 17, 26, 27 and 28, and Botanical Garden serves 28, 29 and 30. Families in Sector 31 and Sector 33 often look to the Noida City Centre, Golf Course and Sector 34 stations in the neighbouring zone.
By road, the DND Flyway brings traffic from Maharani Bagh and Mayur Vihar into Sector 15A, and its cloverleaf connects with the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway. Inside the zone, Dadri Main Road, Noida Road, Amaltash Marg, Narmada Marg, Swami Vivekanand Road and Kamal Marg carry most local trips. We do not quote travel minutes, because they change so much with the hour; ask each tutor which station or road they will use.
Most tutors who teach in this zone combine nearby sectors on the same evening. A tutor finishing a lesson in Sector 20 can reach Sector 12 or 21 on local roads; one in Sector 27 can move to 26 or 28 without touching the main market streets. When you send a request, say which sector and block you are in, because that is what lets us find a tutor already teaching close by.
Three things affect how freely tutors move. The Sector 18 market is the hardest stretch to cross in the evening, so a tutor based on one side may prefer families on the same side. The DND approach affects anyone travelling between the Delhi-edge sectors and the rest of the zone at rush hour. And in village pockets such as Jhundpura, Nithari or the lanes near Chaura Raghunathpur, a two-wheeler is often easier than a car.
Metro tutors work differently: they pick families within walking distance or a short auto ride of a station. If your home is near Sector 15, 16, 18 or Botanical Garden, tell us, because that widens the pool to tutors living anywhere on the Blue Line.
In most of Old Noida, the tutor rings your doorbell. Send the house number, block, floor and a landmark, and say which bell to ring if several families share the building. In managed colonies such as Jal Vayu Vihar in Sectors 21 and 25, or the societies of Sector 33, give security the tutor's name and lesson days once before the demo, and ask where visitors park.
Keep an adult at home for the whole lesson, especially with young children, and use a room with the door open. Families who prefer a woman tutor can ask for one; see women home tutors in Noida. Anyone joining NXTutors as a tutor passes an ID check, made up of a one-time code sent to their phone or email and a government photo ID that our team looks over. It is not a police or background check, so read about the ID check and use the free demo to judge the teaching.
CBSE is the board most families in Old Noida ask about. UP Board requests come up more here than in the newer tower sectors, often for older children or relatives in a joint household, and ICSE, ISC, IB and Cambridge IGCSE also feature. In a plotted house, children on two different boards under one roof are not unusual; one request covering both can save a tutor a second trip.
With UP Board, the medium of answers (Hindi or English) decides which books a tutor brings. For ICSE and ISC, share the board's prescribed texts at the start. See UP Board tutors in Noida, and our board comparison guide for the full comparison.
Short, frequent lessons at a fixed table work well. In a joint-family house, agree with other adults that the study room stays quiet for the hour, and keep the school diary beside the books.
Many families begin with one tutor for Maths and Science, then add English or Hindi. Ask the tutor to check the school notebook each week, so lessons follow the school's pace. A home maths tutor in Noida is the most common request at this stage.
Fixed evenings matter more than long sessions. Pick slots that avoid the DND and market rush on the tutor's route, keep them through the year, and ask for a short timed question at the end of each lesson.
Seniors usually take one tutor per subject. Because four Blue Line stations run through the zone, a specialist living further along the line can still teach at home, and online lessons fill any gap. See Class 12 home tutors in Noida.
Board exams for most students fall early in the calendar year, after school pre-boards. Take dates only from the boards: cbse.gov.in, cisce.org, upmsp.edu.in, and the IB and Cambridge session pages. Book extra exam-month sessions early, and choose hours when the DND approach and market streets are quiet.
For school subjects, a home tutor usually fits Old Noida well. Plotted houses are easy to reach, and near the stations, tutors who do not drive are a real option. Further from the line, in Sectors 11, 12, 22 and 23, tutors from the next sector are the steadiest choice.
Online lessons suit flooded evenings, specialist subjects and senior students whose ideal teacher lives elsewhere. A coaching centre puts the travel on your child, often through the same evening traffic. Many families mix a home tutor for core subjects with one online or centre class.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, shown on the shortlist before the demo.
Class, board, subject, lesson length and the number of lessons a week move a fee the most. The tutor's route matters too: a tutor walking from a nearby station or riding over from the next sector has a short trip, while one crossing the DND approach or the Sector 18 market at rush hour may prefer fewer, longer lessons. Two children taught in one visit is worth raising at the demo.
We could not confirm a public library run by the Noida Authority inside the zone. Neighbourhood parks such as Panchsheel Park in Sector 12, L Block Park in Sector 11 and M Block Park in Sector 25 suit a break between study sessions. For most students, a quiet room at home is still the main place to study.
AI-first tutoring, with real teachers
You tell us the class, board, subject and where in Old Noida you live. Our AI does the slow part of the search and returns two or three tutors who fit, not a long list to scroll. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
Where AI stops and people start
The housing shows its age: kothis and builder floors on authority plots, large RWA-run colonies of flats in Sectors 21 and 25, Noida Authority LIG and MIG flats in Sector 22, and older villages such as Nithari in Sector 31 and Chaura Raghunathpur in Sector 22. In most lanes a tutor rings a doorbell; in the managed colonies there is a gate entry first.
Reaching the door is the easy part in much of the zone. The Blue Line crosses from Delhi at New Ashok Nagar and then stops at Sector 15, Sector 16 and Sector 18 stations and at Botanical Garden, where the Magenta Line also halts, so many homes are a walk from a train. What slows tutors down is the evening build-up on the approach to the DND and at the Film City Flyover, plus crowded streets around the Sector 18 market. Heavy monsoon rain can slow evening travel here, so agree an online fallback for those evenings before the season starts.
NXTutors lists tutors for Old Noida starting with those who live in these sectors, then tutors who travel here, then others across Noida, then online tutors. Because so many homes sit near a metro station, tell us your sector, block and nearest station along with the class, board and subject, and a tutor who commutes by train becomes a realistic choice. You get two or three matched tutors and see each tutor's fee before the demo. The first class is a free demo at your home or online, and if the tutor stops suiting your child, switching later is free.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.
| Classes a week | Classes a month | At ₹800 an hour | At ₹2,500 an hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 8 | ₹6,400 a month | ₹20,000 a month |
| 3 | 12 | ₹9,600 a month | ₹30,000 a month |
In a coaching batch, one teacher's hour is shared by many students, so each family pays for a part of it. At home the whole hour is your child's: the pace, the questions and the homework check follow one student, and the tutor's travel to your home is part of the working day. A small group of two or three children from the same society usually costs less per child, with less individual attention.

The Old Noida zone covers Sectors 11, 12, 14, 14A, 15, 15A, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and 33. They are the oldest sectors at the Delhi end of the city, mostly plotted houses and floors with a few managed colonies.
To find a home tutor in Old Noida, send NXTutors the class, board, subject, your sector and block, and the nearest metro station. We suggest two or three matched tutors with their fees shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, and switching later is free.
Old Noida is served by four Blue Line stations: Noida Sector 15, Sector 16, Sector 18 and Botanical Garden, which is also on the Magenta Line. New Ashok Nagar sits just over the Delhi border. Sectors 11, 12, 22 and 23 have no station inside, so tutors finish by auto.
Across Old Noida, each tutor sets their own fee, and NXTutors shows every fee before the free demo. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. The tutor's route through the DND or market traffic can also shape lesson length.
Yes, families anywhere in Old Noida can ask for a woman home tutor when they send the class, board and subject. Being near a Blue Line station widens the choice, since tutors along the line can reach you. Tutors who join go through an ID check that confirms identity only.
For school subjects, home tuition is usually more practical in Old Noida, since plotted houses are easy to reach and your child avoids the evening traffic. A coaching centre helps for a specialist need, but the trip falls on your child. Many families combine a home tutor with one online class.
Evenings are the slowest time for tutors in Old Noida, especially on the approach to the DND and at the Film City Flyover, and around the Sector 18 market. Choose a slot before the build-up or later in the evening, or a weekend morning.
In most of Old Noida a tutor simply rings the doorbell, because homes are plotted houses and floors. In managed colonies such as Jal Vayu Vihar in Sectors 21 and 25, or the societies of Sector 33, give security the tutor's name and lesson days once before the demo.
Old Noida families mostly ask for CBSE tutors, and UP Board requests are more common here than in Noida's newer sectors. ICSE, ISC, IB and IGCSE also come up. For UP Board, say whether your child writes in Hindi or English, since that decides the books.
Yes, tutors in Old Noida often teach in two neighbouring sectors on one evening, such as 20 and 21 or 27 and 28. That is why your sector and block matter in the request: they let us look for a tutor already teaching close by.
Yes, tutors do reach village pockets in Old Noida such as Nithari in Sector 31 and Jhundpura in Sector 11, but the first visit needs clear directions. Send a map pin and a known landmark, and suggest where a two-wheeler can stand, since lanes are narrow.
Online tuition is useful in Old Noida for specialist subjects, senior classes and evenings when rain floods low-lying lanes. Many families keep a home tutor for core subjects and add one online lesson a week. Agree in advance that a waterlogged evening moves online.
If you live near Noida Sector 15, 16 or 18 station or Botanical Garden, a maths home tutor from anywhere along the Blue Line can reach Old Noida. Mention your nearest station in the request, along with the class, board and chapters done, so we can widen the search.
Sectors 11 to 33 at the Delhi end of the city, including 14A and 15A and the older sectors around the Sector 18 market, such as 17, 26, 27 and 28. Sectors 34 to 53, around Noida City Centre, form Central Noida, which has its own zone page and tutor list.
Often, yes. The DND Flyway lands at Sector 15A, and the Blue Line enters Noida from New Ashok Nagar at Sector 15, so a Delhi-based tutor has both a road and a metro route. Evenings on the roads towards the DND are slow, though, so a class before the rush suits such a tutor better.
Much of each sector is a managed colony of flats rather than plotted houses: Sector 21 is largely an RWA-run colony, and Sector 25 is a housing-board colony first built for armed-forces families. Expect a gate entry for the tutor, so give security the tutor's name and timings once before the first class.
Each tutor sets their own hourly rate, and NXTutors shows it on your shortlist before the demo, so there are no surprises after the first class. Rates tend to rise with the class and board, and for international boards or entrance-exam work; the free demo lets you judge value before you commit.
Pages for all of Noida: pick the board, subject or class you need.
