Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Sector 28 sits in the Old Noida zone of Noida, wedged between two metro stations: Botanical Garden, where the Blue and Magenta Lines meet, and Noida Sector 18. That double reach is the main thing this guide builds on, along with the sector's mix of enclaves, houses and builder floors.
| Question | Sector 28 |
|---|---|
| Zone | Old Noida, on its southern edge next to Sectors 27, 29 and 30 |

| Named enclaves | Yamuna Enclave, Varun Enclave, the flats at Alaknanda Shopping Complex, and a part of Arun Vihar |
| Nearest metro | Botanical Garden (Blue and Magenta Lines), about 1.2 km; Noida Sector 18 (Blue Line), about 1.4 km |
| Roads round the edge | Lieutenant Vijyant Thapar Marg, Maharaja Agrasen Marg with its flyover and underpass, Maharshi Dayanand Marg, Kachnar Marg and Chameli Marg |

| Easy lesson windows | Late afternoon before the main roads fill, or weekend mornings |
Sector 28 is an older, settled residential sector. NoBroker describes it as residential apartments and gated communities, with 1 to 3 BHK flats the most common, and Square Yards lists builder floors for rent alongside independent houses for sale. It is not a tower sector: the buildings are low and mid-rise, and many homes open straight onto a lane.
A few names come up again and again on the property portals.
Arun Vihar gives this side of Noida much of its character. It is named after a 1971 war hero, began with the Army Welfare Housing Organisation, and was followed by navy and air force housing; a feature article on the area notes hoardings honouring the armed forces in Sectors 25, 28, 29 and 37. The same article describes Arun Vihar's residents as largely defence families, and in households like these a mid-year transfer or a change of school is a familiar event.
For a tutor, the useful part is the layout. In an enclave, the tutor checks in at one gate. In a house or a builder floor, there is no gate, but there is a staircase, a shared entrance and often a narrow lane, so the family's directions matter more than the sector number. NoBroker reviewers describe the inner lanes as peaceful, which is good news for a quiet lesson once the tutor is inside.
Public reviews of Sector 28 on NoBroker and Square Yards keep coming back to the same few points. Here they are, turned into tuition planning.
Beyond the locality, parents ask the usual things: whether the tutor can keep the same slot for the year, whether they know the school's board, and whether a Class 11 subject is better taught at home or online. The sections below answer those for Sector 28.
Few sectors in Old Noida sit between two stations the way Sector 28 does. NoBroker puts Botanical Garden about 1.2 km away and Noida Sector 18 about 1.4 km away. That gives a tutor three train options.
By road, Sector 28 is boxed in by Lieutenant Vijyant Thapar Marg, Maharaja Agrasen Marg, Maharshi Dayanand Marg, Kachnar Marg and Chameli Marg. Maharaja Agrasen Marg has a flyover and an underpass on this stretch, so a tutor driving in should know which side of it your lane opens onto. The main roads are where reviewers report evening jams; the internal lanes are calmer but narrow.
The shortest trips usually come from tutors in the sectors that touch Sector 28, such as 27, 29 and 30, who can use internal roads. A tutor who already teaches a child in one of those sectors can often add yours on the same evening. When you send the request, name the nearest station and your enclave or block, and we can look for tutors on the right line as well as nearby.
How the tutor gets in depends on where you live. In Yamuna Enclave, Varun Enclave or a gated part of Arun Vihar, tell the guard the tutor's name and lesson days before the demo, and ask how a regular visitor is added so each class does not start with a phone call. In a house or builder floor, the main job is directions: send a map pin, the house number, the floor and a landmark on the lane.
Builder floors share a staircase and an entrance, so tell the tutor which bell is yours and whether the main door stays locked. If a lane is hard to find after dark in winter, meet the tutor at the corner for the first visit.
Keep an adult at home during lessons, with the study room door open, especially for young children. Families here who prefer a woman tutor can say so on the request form, and we will look for a woman home tutor in Noida where one fits the class, subject and timing.
Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check. Each one confirms a phone or email by one-time code, then uploads a government photo ID for our team to review. This confirms who the person is; it is not a police or background check. Read how the ID check works, and use the free demo to judge the teaching for yourself.
Most requests from this part of Old Noida are for CBSE, followed by ICSE and ISC, with a smaller number for IB or Cambridge IGCSE and some for UP Board. Families with a service background sometimes move boards or schools after a transfer, so tell the tutor about any recent switch; the gaps usually show up in Maths and the second language.
The housing makes little difference to the board, but it does change the set-up. In a smaller enclave flat, the dining table is often the classroom, which suits the short, regular sessions most CBSE and ICSE students need. For CBSE, keep the NCERT books and the school's worksheets at hand; for ICSE and ISC, give the tutor the prescribed-text list from CISCE at the start of the year.
For a full comparison of how each board teaches and examines, read our guide on CBSE vs ICSE vs IB vs IGCSE. For board-specific help nearby, see CBSE home tutors in Noida.
Small children in Sector 28 homes tend to manage three or four short sessions weekly better than two long sittings. In a builder floor, pick the quietest room, away from the road side, and keep the school diary there so the tutor can follow the class. A tutor from a neighbouring sector can usually come early in the afternoon, which suits small children before play time. See our primary home tuition in Noida page for this stage.
This is where Maths and Science start to build on each other. One tutor for both is common, with English or Hindi added if the school reports a gap. Ask the tutor to look at the school notebook and the latest class test each week, not only the textbook. Children who moved school after a family transfer often need a few weeks of catching up first.
Board preparation starts in Class 9. Lessons of 75 to 90 minutes, two or three times a week, leave room to teach, practise and set a timed question. For CBSE Class 10, the tutor plans the year towards the main board exam; CBSE has added a second, optional sitting later in the year for improvement, which the family can consider after the first result. A maths tutor at home in Noida is the most common request at this stage.
At this level a Sector 28 family normally books a separate tutor for each main subject. Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, Accountancy and Economics are the usual list. With two stations nearby, Sector 28 families can draw on subject specialists who live further along the Blue or Magenta Line, not only in the next sector. For engineering entrance work, our JEE home tutors in Noida page explains how home lessons fit alongside a coaching timetable.
For IB, IGCSE or entrance-level subjects, the right specialist may live far away. A common plan is a home tutor for school subjects and an online specialist for the one demanding paper.
For a Sector 28 student, the board papers mostly arrive between late winter and early spring. CBSE, CISCE and UP Board each publish their own timetables on their websites; The IB sets its Diploma papers in May and November; Cambridge runs IGCSE series in March, June and November. Take dates only from the board's site. Agree with the tutor a month ahead when lessons move from new topics to past papers, and keep in mind that evening traffic on the main roads can make a long revision session late; an online session on those evenings keeps the plan on track.
A home tutor saves your child the trip and lets you see how lessons go. In Sector 28, two stations within walking or e-rickshaw distance widen the choice to tutors who come by train from further away.
Online lessons skip travel completely. They help on rainy evenings, in exam weeks and for subjects where the right teacher lives across the city. Online tutors for Noida students are often the practical route for IB, IGCSE or entrance papers.
A coaching centre puts the travel on your child. From Sector 28, the busy market roads around Sector 18 are close by, and a late class means a walk home after dark in winter. Many families mix the two: a home tutor for the school subjects, and a centre or online class for one specialist need.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, and you see it before you book the demo.
What moves the fee is the class and board, the subject, how long each lesson is and how many lessons you book in a week. Travel matters too. A tutor from Sector 27, 29 or 30 has a short ride along internal roads; one who comes by metro from further along the Magenta or Blue Line, or who drives through the evening peak, may prefer longer lessons or fewer days.
Before you agree, ask how the tutor handles holidays, lessons you cancel and extra classes before exams, so the monthly bill matches what you expect.
We could not find a public library or community study room in Sector 28 run by the Noida Authority. Reviewers mention parks and peaceful inner lanes, which are good for a break between study blocks but not for desk work. For most students, a quiet room at home, away from the road side, stays the main study space.
All five belong to Old Noida except Sector 37, which sits in Central Noida; the zone guide linked in the opening section compares them.
Each link opens the Noida page for that board, subject or class. Tell us you are in Sector 28 and we look for tutors who can reach you, or teach online.

You tell us the class, board, subject and where in Sector 28 you live. Our AI does the slow part of the search and returns two or three tutors who fit, not a long list to scroll. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
Where AI stops and people start
Move out to the wider area or in to nearby sectors. Tutors usually travel short distances, so the closest areas are the most useful places to look.
Distances are straight-line estimates between sector centres from OpenStreetMap data; the road route is usually longer.

A board exam year changes what you need from a tutor. For a Class 10 or Class 12 student in Sector 28, the useful starting points are how much of the syllabus is left, which chapters keep going wrong, and which weekdays your child can give to extra study. Begin your note to us with those three things, and add the school books in use.
If your child is with UP Board, the body behind the High School and Intermediate exams, say so plainly, so that the tutors we put forward know that syllabus. CBSE students are matched in just the same way. Every request brings two or three names, and each tutor's fee is visible before the trial lesson.
Sector 28 belongs to Old Noida, a zone with twenty pages on NXTutors. Anyone living in Sector 28, or willing to travel to it, heads this page. Sister pages like Sector 21 and Sector 22 supply the next names, followed by tutors across Noida as a whole, home teachers from Faridabad or Delhi, and online tutors at the close. A card always tells you why that tutor is in view.
