Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Sector 78 sits in the Sectors 70–82 zone of Noida, so the guide below covers what is particular to this sector: its large societies, the Aqua Line stations on either side, the busy junction near Sector 101 station, and how a tutor gets from the gate to your flat.
| What | Sector 78 |
|---|---|
| Zone | Sectors 70–82, the high-rise belt of Sectors 74 to 79 |
| Housing | Almost all gated group-housing societies with towers, clubhouses and shopping marts inside or beside them |
| Nearest metro | Noida Sector 101 on the Aqua Line (about 950 m away by a property-portal estimate), with Noida Sector 76 on the same line about 1 km away |
| Main roads | Vishwakarma Road, Golf Marg, Dadri Main Road and the Sector 116 main road; The Hyde Park sits on Community Center Road |
| Where tutors usually come from | Neighbouring tower sectors (76, 77, 79, 75), the Aqua Line corridor, and online for specialist subjects |
| Boards families ask about | Families here commonly ask about CBSE and ICSE/ISC, with IB and Cambridge IGCSE questions too, and UP Board for some households |
| Good session windows | Straight after school, before the evening office rush builds at the Sector 101 junction, or after it clears; weekend mornings |
Sector 78 is a tower sector. It is part of the Sectors 74 to 79 cluster that Noida laid out as large group-housing plots for builders, so most families live in flats inside gated societies rather than in plotted houses. Each society has its own gate, towers, parks and, in most cases, a clubhouse. Several also have a shopping mart at the edge of the complex, which is why the sector has shops, pharmacies and eateries within walking distance of most towers.
Property-portal reviews describe quiet internal lanes with a family feel, small parks inside the sector, and wide, lit internal roads that residents use for evening walks. They also note strong rental demand from families and office workers, helped by Aqua Line access. Eco City in Noida is listed as the nearest employment hub, and the IT and business parks further west are within commuting range, so tuition slots in many homes have to fit around office hours.
Ved Van Park, a Vedic-themed park built by the Noida Authority on what was once a dump yard, lies in Sector 78 and was opened in 2023. It has an outdoor gym, an amphitheatre and an evening laser show, and news coverage described it as a park for the societies of Sectors 74 to 79.
These are the main societies listed in Sector 78 by Wikipedia, credit-rating and property-portal sources. Listings disagree on tower and unit counts, so only the plainer facts are given here.
The range matters for tuition. A larger flat often has a spare room or a quiet corner for lessons; in a compact 1 or 2 BHK, the dining table is the usual study spot, and timing around family routines matters more.
Public reviews of Sector 78 on property portals return to a few themes, and each has a practical meaning for a tutor's visit.
Beyond these, the parent questions are the familiar ones: whether the tutor can come at the same time every week, whether the tutor knows the board's way of marking, and whether a home tutor or an online one makes more sense for a senior subject. The sections below take these one by one.
Sector 78 has no metro station of its own, but the Aqua Line passes close on two sides. Noida Sector 101 station, whose address is in Sector 79, is the nearest stop, and Noida Sector 76 station is also about a kilometre away. The Aqua Line runs from Noida Sector 51, beside the Blue Line's Noida Sector 52 station, through Sector 50, Sector 76, Sector 101, Sector 81 and NSEZ, and on to Greater Noida. A tutor who lives near any of these stations can ride in and finish the trip on foot or by e-rickshaw.
By road, residents use Vishwakarma Road, Golf Marg, Dadri Main Road and the Sector 116 main road. The pinch point that reviewers name is the junction near Sector 101 station at peak hours; the zone's other known bottlenecks are Vikas Marg at office hours and the Sector 71/51 crossing. A tutor coming from the Sector 50–52 side, or from the expressway side, will meet one of these at rush time.
The short rides are from the tower sectors around you. Sector 76 and Sector 79 are next door, with Sector 77 and Sector 75 close behind, and a tutor already teaching in one of them can often add a Sector 78 student on the same evening. We do not quote travel minutes because they swing so much with the hour; ask each tutor how they will come and at what time they usually pass the Sector 101 junction.
A useful habit: give the tutor your society's gate name, not only the sector. Large societies here have more than one gate, and The Hyde Park and the two Antriksh Golf View phases are big enough that the wrong gate costs real time.
Every major society in Sector 78 is gated, so the tutor's first stop is the security desk. Whether your society uses a visitor app or a guard's register, a resident usually has to approve or pre-approve a guest. Before the free demo, add the tutor's name and phone number as an expected visitor, and after the demo, ask your society office how to set up a regular approval so each visit does not wait on a phone call.
Tell the tutor your tower and flat number, which gate to use, and where a two-wheeler can be parked. In the larger societies, walking from the gate to a far tower can take a few minutes, so a start time that allows for it keeps the lesson whole.
Lessons usually happen in the flat, at a study table or the dining table. Many Sector 78 societies have clubhouses, but rules on using a clubhouse room for private lessons vary, so check with your society office before you plan on it. Whatever the room, keep the door open and an adult at home, especially for younger children.
If you would like a woman tutor, say so when you ask; NXTutors can shortlist a female home tutor in Noida where one is available for your class and subject. Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check: they confirm their phone or email with a one-time code and upload a government photo ID that our team reviews. It is an identity check, not a police or background check. Read how we check tutors, and use the demo to judge the teaching for yourself.
Sector 78 families commonly ask about more than one board, and what a tutor works on shifts with each. These are the points that matter for home tuition, taken from the boards' own sites.
CBSE now gives Class 10 students two board exam opportunities in a year. In 2026, the main Class 10 board exam ran from 17 February to 11 March and a second board exam was held from 15 to 21 May, according to CBSE's own press release. For a home tutor, that changes the plan for Class 10: the year builds to the main exam, and the second sitting is a chance to improve, so a family may want a few focused weeks of help after the first results. Look for a tutor who works from the NCERT books and the board's sample papers on cbseacademic.nic.in. Our CBSE home tutors in Noida page has more.
CISCE runs the ICSE exam at Class 10 and the ISC exam at Class 12, and it publishes each year's regulations, syllabuses and prescribed books on cisce.org. Share the prescribed books list with the tutor, since ICSE and ISC set their own texts for English and the languages. At ISC, families usually want subject specialists, one per subject, rather than one tutor for everything.
The UP Board, Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad in Prayagraj, runs the High School and Intermediate exams. Its notices and timetables are posted in Hindi on upmsp.edu.in, which has already posted the programme for the 2027 exams. Tell the tutor whether your child writes papers in Hindi or English medium, as that decides the books and the practice.
IB Diploma exams are held in two sessions a year, May and November. Cambridge offers IGCSE in India in March, June and November series. For both, a home tutor works to the subject guide or syllabus code your child's school follows, so share it at the first class. Senior IB and IGCSE subjects are where some families pair a home tutor with an online specialist.
Short sessions, often 45 minutes to an hour, three or four days a week, work for young children. In a tower flat, a fixed corner with good light and no television in view helps more than any worksheet. A slot soon after school and a snack, before the evening rush and play time in the society park, often works well. Keep an adult at home and nearby; most tutors prefer it too.
This is where Maths and Science start to separate, and where a weekly routine pays off. A tutor who covers Maths and Science together suits a lot of children at this stage, with English or a language added if needed. Ask the tutor to look at the school notebook each week, not only the textbook, so homework and tests line up. A maths home tutor in Noida is the most common request at this stage.
Board-year planning begins in Class 9. For CBSE, the two Class 10 exam opportunities mean planning for the main exam first, with a short improvement window afterwards. For ICSE, the subject spread is wider. Sessions of 90 minutes, two or three times a week, give time for both teaching and a timed question. Our Class 10 tutors in Noida page covers this stage in more depth.
Families usually move to one tutor per subject: Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, Accountancy or Economics. Where an entrance exam is also in view, the hours grow, and some families keep a home tutor for school-board work and add an online teacher for the entrance side. In a busy household, a weekend morning block can be easier to protect than a weekday evening.
Board exams for most Sector 78 students fall in the first months of the calendar year. CBSE held its 2026 Class 10 main exam from mid-February to mid-March, with a second Class 10 exam in May. CISCE posts the ICSE and ISC timetables on cisce.org, and the UP Board posts its timetable on upmsp.edu.in. IB Diploma exams run in May and November, and Cambridge IGCSE in March, June and November series. Always take dates from the board's own site, linked in the sources, not from a forwarded message. Agree with the tutor in good time which weeks become revision-only, and whether extra sessions are needed before the exams.
Home tuition suits Sector 78 well: the tutor comes to you, your child skips the evening traffic, and you can see the teaching. The trade-off is that a home tutor has to cross the same roads, so the slot has to fit their route.
Online classes remove the travel completely, which helps on monsoon evenings, during exam weeks, and for subjects where the right specialist lives far away. Senior IB, IGCSE and entrance subjects are where online tutors for Noida students often make the most sense.
A coaching centre means your child does the travelling, usually towards the busier commercial sectors. That puts a teenager on the same congested roads at the same peak hours that make home-tutor timing tricky. A common middle path is a mix: a home tutor once or twice a week for school subjects, and an online session for a specialist.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, and NXTutors shows you every tutor's fee before the demo.
What moves the fee here is the usual mix: the class and board, the subject, how long each session runs and how many sessions a week you want. Travel matters too. A tutor who already teaches in Sector 76, 77 or 79 has a short ride; one crossing the Sector 101 junction at rush hour from further away may ask for a higher fee or a longer minimum session to make the trip worthwhile.
To read a monthly quote, multiply the hourly fee by the session length and by the number of sessions in the month. Ask the tutor how they count holidays, cancelled sessions and extra classes before exams, so the monthly figure holds no surprises.
Ved Van Park in Sector 78 is open all week, with an outdoor gym and an amphitheatre, and is good for a walk after a long revision session. Reports give different timings and entry details, so check before you go. Small parks inside the sector and the green areas inside the societies are other quiet spots. We could not find a public library or community study room in Sector 78, so for focused study most families rely on a quiet room at home or a society room where the rules allow it.
All of these sit in the Sectors 70–82 zone, whose zone guide compares the tower sectors with the low-rise ones.
Each link opens the Noida page for that board, subject or class. Tell us you are in Sector 78 and we look for tutors who can reach you, or teach online.
AI-first tutoring, with real teachers
You tell us the class, board, subject and where in Sector 78 you live. Our AI does the slow part of the search and returns two or three tutors who fit, not a long list to scroll. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
Where AI stops and people start
Move out to the wider area or in to nearby sectors. Tutors usually travel short distances, so the closest areas are the most useful places to look.
Distances are straight-line estimates between sector centres from OpenStreetMap data; the road route is usually longer.

Before the first lesson in Sector 78, it pays to think about what a good term would look like. Is the aim a stronger Class 10 result in English, a clearer start to Class 11 Accountancy, or steady JEE preparation? A clear goal, written in a line or two, helps us suggest the right two or three tutors.
Tell us your child's board as well. For UP Board, mention whether your child is at the High School or the Intermediate stage; for CBSE, mention the class. Add the school books and the chapters done. You will see each tutor's fee, and the first class is a free demo, so you can judge the teaching before agreeing to anything.
Sector 78 shares Sectors 70–82, an eleven-page zone, with Sector 70, Sector 73 and Sector 79. Tutors who live in Sector 78 or travel there are shown first, followed by teachers listed under the zone's other sectors, Noida generally, home tutors from Faridabad, and online teachers. A line on every card gives the reason. For a specialist need, such as Biology for an entrance exam, consider pairing a home tutor with an online teacher.
