Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

The right maths home tutor in Noida is one who teaches your child's exact course (CBSE Standard or Basic, ICSE, ISC, IB or IGCSE), works at the right level for their class, and can reach your sector at your slot without fighting the evening rush on the Film City Flyover or Vikas Marg. NXTutors shortlists two or three maths tutors against those three tests, and the first class with the one you choose is a free demo. This page explains how that works across Noida's sectors, what each board asks of a maths student, and how to judge a tutor in one lesson.
"A good maths tutor" is too loose a brief to match on. A tutor who spends every evening on Class 12 calculus is rarely the right person for a Class 6 child who has gone quiet about fractions, and a tutor fluent in CBSE step marking may never have guided an IB exploration. Before we look at a single profile, we pin down three things: the course, the class band and the goal. The table shows how those combine.
| Student | The real job | Tutor to look for | Usual rhythm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classes 5 to 8, any board | Close gaps in number sense, fractions, early algebra; rebuild confidence | Patient, diagnostic, happy to go back a year | 1 to 2 sessions a week |
| Class 9 and 10, CBSE | NCERT exercises, competency-based questions, full working for step marks | Teaches from NCERT and CBSE sample papers; marks the way CBSE marks | 2 to 3 a week |
| Class 9 and 10, ICSE | A wide syllabus including commercial maths; speed and neat working | Knows the CISCE syllabus and specimen papers | 2 to 3 a week |
| Class 11 and 12, CBSE or ISC | Functions, trigonometry, calculus; board and entrance together | Strong in calculus; plans around coaching if there is any | 2 to 3 a week |
| IB DP or Cambridge IGCSE | The exact course and level; IB exploration guidance; IGCSE tier | Has taught that course recently; works from past papers and mark schemes | 1 to 3 a week, by level |
On this page Ajay Vatsyayan writes about IB, IGCSE and ISC maths, and Abhinandan Tiwary about Class 10 CBSE and ICSE maths. For how maths tuition works beyond Noida, see our main maths home tutor page.
Noida was laid out in numbered sectors on a grid, and the city's zones differ less in the maths students study than in how a tutor gets to them: plotted houses with a door on the street in the older sectors, gated towers with a visitor desk further out, and a different metro line depending on where you are. You can open any sector on our Noida page to see the tutors nearest to it.
Most homes here are houses and builder floors on Noida Authority plots, so a tutor walks in without gate formalities; the catch is parking on narrow lanes in the evening. The Blue Line runs through the zone, and Sector 15 has its own station, which widens the choice to tutors who do not drive. Weekday maths slots are easiest when the tutor already teaches in a neighbouring sector.
Largely plotted sectors with some group housing, served by the Blue Line at Noida City Centre, Sector 34 and Sector 52, and by the Aqua Line, which starts at Sector 51. In Sector 50, Blocks A to E are houses and Block F is group housing, so how a tutor gets in depends on your block. Dadri Main Road and Amrapali Road are the slow stretches at peak hours.
Sector 62 mixes offices, institutions and cooperative group housing along NH-9, with two Blue Line stations. Many parents here work in the same belt, so an early-evening maths slot that begins before the office traffic builds is usually the one that holds through the year.
Sectors 74 to 79 are mainly high-rise gated societies; Sector 76 has its own Aqua Line station. With many students in the same towers, a tutor can often teach two maths students in one society on the same evening. Vikas Marg and the junction near the Sector 101 station are the reported bottlenecks.
The expressway runs from the Mahamaya Flyover to Pari Chowk, lined with high-rise societies, and the Aqua Line follows much of it. Sector 137 has its own station. Evening traffic on the expressway is heavy in both directions, so a tutor from your own stretch, or a hybrid plan with some online sessions, is often the realistic way to get an IB or JEE maths specialist here.
Mostly large gated societies (one society in Sector 121 has around 2,600 flats), with plotted Sectors 116 and 122 alongside. There is no metro station in these sectors yet; an Aqua Line extension via Sector 122 and 123 has been approved. Tutors who already teach in the cluster are the steadiest match.
Maths needs regular, unhurried sessions; a lesson that starts twenty minutes late because the tutor was stuck at a junction is a lesson spent catching up. A few Noida-specific habits make the difference:
Most Noida students are in CBSE schools, with ICSE and ISC schools and a smaller number of international schools offering the IB or Cambridge IGCSE. The maths overlaps a great deal; the exam style does not.
Mathematics Standard (041) and Mathematics Basic (241) are both three-hour, 80-mark papers with 20 marks of internal assessment. Basic leans more towards remembering and understanding; Standard carries more application and analysis. CBSE's 2026-27 curriculum says about half of board questions are competency-focused: case-based, data and application questions. CBSE introduced two Class 10 board exams from 2026: a compulsory main exam and an optional second exam to improve in up to three subjects. Dates for 2027 have not been announced, so check cbse.gov.in. Abhinandan Tiwary leads our Class 10 CBSE guidance; see the CBSE Class 10 maths preparation guide and our Class 10 maths tutor page.
ICSE Class 10 Mathematics is one three-hour, 80-mark paper plus 20 marks of internal assessment, covering commercial mathematics (GST, banking, shares and dividends) as well as algebra, geometry, mensuration, trigonometry and statistics. ISC Mathematics in Classes 11 and 12 is an 80-mark theory paper plus 20 marks of project work, and the syllabuses CISCE has published for 2027 and 2028 list a single Class 12 paper with no Section B or C option. A tutor needs to know the syllabus for your child's exam year.
IB students take Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation, at SL or HL; HL adds a third paper, and every student writes an exploration worth 20%, which a tutor may guide but must never write. IGCSE Mathematics 0580 has Core and Extended tiers, with non-calculator and calculator papers; Core caps the grade, so a student aiming for the top grades must be on Extended. Ajay Vatsyayan leads our IB and IGCSE maths guidance; the IB Maths AA/AI, SL/HL guide explains the course choice.
Most lost marks in school maths are not about hard questions. They come from a short list of habits a one-to-one tutor can see and fix, which a large class cannot:
Many Class 11 and 12 students in Noida attend JEE coaching as well as school. JEE Main Paper 1 in 2026 had 25 questions in each of maths, physics and chemistry (20 multiple-choice and 5 numerical-value), 300 marks over three hours, with +4 for a correct answer and −1 for an incorrect one; check jeemain.nta.nic.in for the current bulletin. A home tutor alongside coaching works best on three things:
Our JEE maths topic-wise preparation guide shows how to split the syllabus across Class 11 and 12.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees. Within that range, the class and course, the tutor's experience with that course, the travel involved at your slot and the number of sessions a week all move the figure; online sessions with the same tutor can cost less because there is no travel. You see each shortlisted tutor's fee before the demo, and we shortlist only inside your budget.
The demo is a normal lesson on whatever your child is doing in school that week. Five questions to answer afterwards:
If the answers are mostly no, tell us and we set up a demo with the next tutor on your shortlist. Switching tutor later is free as well.
Tell us your child's class, board and exact maths course, your sector or society, the slots that work and a budget. Tutors who join go through an ID check; we send you two or three matched maths tutors with their fees, and you pick one for a free demo class. Where no specialist can reach your sector at your slot, we suggest a hybrid plan or online sessions; NXTutors offers online tutoring across India and is based in Sector 66, Gurugram.
Maths tutors who want to teach in Noida can find open requests on the Noida tuition jobs page.
To find a maths home tutor in Noida, tell NXTutors your child's class, board and exact maths course, your sector or society, the slots and a budget. We send two or three matched maths tutors with their fees, and you pick one for a free demo. Switching tutor later is free, and where no specialist can reach your sector we suggest online sessions.

NXTutors looks for maths home tutors across Noida's six zones: Old Noida, Central Noida, the Sector 62 belt, Sectors 70 to 82, the Expressway and near Noida Extension. We look at travel time at your slot, not just the sector number. Tell us your sector or society and the time you want, and a tutor on your metro line widens the choice.
CBSE Class 10 Maths Standard and Basic are both three-hour, 80-mark papers with 20 marks of internal assessment, but Standard carries more application and analysis. Basic leans towards remembering and understanding. Decide with the school, based on your child's comfort with problem-solving and whether they may want maths in Class 11, and tell the Noida tutor which one your child sits.
ICSE Class 10 Mathematics is one three-hour, 80-mark paper plus 20 internal marks, covering commercial maths such as GST, banking, shares and dividends. It also covers algebra, geometry, mensuration, trigonometry and statistics. A Noida maths tutor for ICSE should know the CISCE syllabus and specimen papers, because erased arcs and wrong scales cost easy marks.
Yes, IB and IGCSE maths students in Noida can be matched with a tutor who has taught their exact course and level recently. For the IB that means Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation, at SL or HL, and a tutor may guide the exploration but never write it. For IGCSE 0580, Core caps the grade, so the highest grades need Extended.
Yes, a maths home tutor alongside JEE coaching in Noida works on the doubt list, test analysis and board-style written working. The student brings unfinished coaching questions to every session, mistakes are sorted into concept, method, calculation and time, and the tutor keeps up the full working that CBSE and ISC papers reward.
Yes, home maths tuition works in a gated Noida Expressway society if you register the tutor at the gate once and avoid the evening rush. Expressway traffic is heavy in both directions after office hours, so a tutor from your own stretch, or one home session a week with online sessions, is often how families get an IB or JEE maths specialist.
For a Class 8 student in Noida who is losing marks in maths, a one-to-one home tutor usually helps more than a coaching batch. Most lost marks come from habits such as skipped steps and old gaps in fractions or factorisation, which a one-to-one tutor can see and fix but a large class cannot. One or two sessions a week is the usual rhythm.
Yes, the first maths class in Noida is a free demo: a normal lesson on whatever your child is studying that week. Watch whether the tutor finds out what your child can already do, keeps your child writing and corrects the working rather than ticking the answer. If the fit is wrong, we arrange a demo with the next shortlisted tutor.
Often, yes; many Noida families use one home maths session a week for hand-written practice and one online session for doubts and tests. Online sessions remove travel at peak hours, which helps in sectors far from the tutor, and a phone camera over the notebook lets the tutor see every line of working.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
