Home Tuition Fees in Greater Noida (2026): What Moves the Cost
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. That band holds in Greater Noida as well. What changes here is how a tutor's hour is spent before the class starts: at a society gate in Greater Noida West, on the road between two parts of the city, or in the evening queue at Gaur Chowk or Pari Chowk.
This guide explains what moves a home-tuition quote in Greater Noida, including Greater Noida West (Noida Extension). It compares West societies with the plotted Greek-letter sectors, covers the Aqua Line and the busy junctions, and gives a budgeting table built only on the range above.
What is the fee range for a home tutor in Greater Noida?
There is no single Greater Noida rate. Tutors on NXTutors set their own fees, so the figure above is the band most sessions sit in. Class, board, subject and the tutor's experience set the base: senior maths and sciences, international boards and entrance preparation sit higher, and a junior class with a newer tutor usually sits lower. The NXTutors pricing guide breaks this down class by class.

Why does location matter so much in Greater Noida?
Greater Noida is really two different places under one name. Greater Noida West sits on the Noida side, reached from Noida Sector 121 by a road that crosses the Hindon river. It takes in Sectors 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 12, 16B and 16C, Techzone 4 and villages such as Shahberi and Bisrakh, and most families live in gated high-rise societies. The Greek-letter sectors form the older planned city, where Alpha, Beta and Gamma are the oldest sectors and much of the housing is independent houses and builder floors on authority plots.
High-rise societies in Greater Noida West
In the West, almost every class begins at a gate: the tutor is logged on a visitor app, finds the right tower and waits for a lift, then repeats it on the way out. In large townships such as Gaur City 1 or the dense belt of Techzone 4, that adds minutes to every visit, and a tutor with several evening students may build it into a quote.
Density also works in your favour. Where towers are close together, a tutor who already teaches in your township can add your child with no extra travel. The opposite is true in sectors still filling up, such as parts of Sectors 2, 3 and 10, where fewer tutors live nearby.
Plotted houses in the Greek-letter sectors
In sectors such as Alpha 1, Beta 2 or Delta 1, the tutor rings the bell and starts, with no gate routine to absorb. The trade-off comes further out. In Xu 2 or Omicron 1A, residents say autos and buses rarely come inside the sector, so a tutor usually needs their own two-wheeler. That narrows the pool, which can nudge quotes up for less common subjects.
What the Aqua Line reaches, and what it does not
Many tutors do not drive, so metro access decides how many can reach you. The Aqua Line runs from Noida Sector 51 to Depot and has been open since 25 January 2019. Its Greater Noida stops, in order, are Knowledge Park II, Pari Chowk, Alpha 1, Delta 1, GNIDA Office and Depot. A home a short e-rickshaw ride from one of these is within reach of tutors who travel by train, which widens your choice.
Greater Noida West has no working metro station yet; the nearest is Noida Sector 51. An extension to Greater Noida West Sector 4 near Kisan Chowk is planned but not open, so budget on today's routes: most tutors reach the West by bike, car or shared auto.
Gaur Chowk and Pari Chowk
Two junctions shape evening travel. In the West, Char Murti Chowk, better known as Gaur Chowk or Kisan Chowk, has been described as the busiest crossroad in Noida Extension. The authority has issued a tender for an underpass there and has begun shrinking the nearby Ek Murti roundabout. In the Greek-letter sectors, the pressure point is Pari Chowk, where the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway ends and the Yamuna Expressway begins; traffic builds up around it at peak hours.
A tutor who lives in the West and teaches in the Greek-letter sectors, or comes in from Noida, usually has the longest trip, often through one of these junctions. Ask each shortlisted tutor how long the journey takes at your class time. That, more than distance, shapes the quote.
What moves the cost in each part of Greater Noida?
The table does not change the fee range; it shows where the extra minutes tend to come from.
| Zone | Typical homes | How tutors usually arrive | What adds time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Greater Noida West | Gated high-rise societies; builder floors in Shahberi | Bike, car or shared auto | Gate entry; Gaur Chowk and Ek Murti Chowk |
| Alpha–Delta and Pari Chowk | Houses and builder floors; societies in Sector P-4 | Aqua Line, then e-rickshaw | Pari Chowk; crowds near Jagat Farm market |
| Omega, Chi and Phi | Societies and plotted houses | Two-wheeler, or metro to Pari Chowk or Knowledge Park II | Pari Chowk; few buses inside the Chi sectors |
| Pi, Sigma and Sectors 36–37 | Plots and houses; societies in Pi 2 | Two-wheeler, or metro to Delta 1 and an auto | Surajpur–Kasna road; Pari Chowk |
| Zeta and Eta | Societies, villas and plotted houses | Metro to GNIDA Office or Depot, then auto | Weak last-mile links from the station |
| Omicron, Mu and Xu | Mostly independent houses | Own two-wheeler | Few autos or buses inside the sectors |
How much should we budget each month?
Choose a class length and how many classes a week your child needs, then read across. The table uses only the two ends of the NXTutors range and treats a month as four weeks. It shows the spread, not a price list.
| Class length | One class at ₹800 an hour | One class at ₹2,500 an hour | Two a week, per month | Three a week, per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 60 minutes | ₹800 | ₹2,500 | ₹6,400 to ₹20,000 | ₹9,600 to ₹30,000 |
| 75 minutes | ₹1,000 | ₹3,125 | ₹8,000 to ₹25,000 | ₹12,000 to ₹37,500 |
| 90 minutes | ₹1,200 | ₹3,750 | ₹9,600 to ₹30,000 | ₹14,400 to ₹45,000 |
| 120 minutes | ₹1,600 | ₹5,000 | ₹12,800 to ₹40,000 | ₹19,200 to ₹60,000 |
- The top of the range is not a ceiling. Specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more than ₹2,500 an hour.
- Longer classes can save travel. Where the trip is slow, two 90-minute classes may suit both sides better than three 60-minute ones for the same hours.
- Each subject is its own line. In senior classes, two subjects usually mean two tutors and two budgets.
Ways Greater Noida families keep costs sensible
- Choose a tutor from your own zone. In the West, someone already teaching in your township; in the Greek-letter sectors, someone who does not need to cross Pari Chowk.
- Set the gate up once. Register the tutor as a regular visitor and share the tower, flat and parking spot, rather than approving each visit.
- Time the class around the chowks. A slot straight after school, or after the office rush, can make a tutor from slightly further away workable.
- Take the second subject online. Keep one home tutor for the subject that needs most hands-on help. Our comparison of home and online tutors explains the trade-off.
What should we agree before the first class?
- Fee basis: per hour or per class, and how long a class runs.
- Arrival: which gate, how entry is approved, and where the tutor parks.
- Delays and weather: whether a late start at a chowk is made up, and whether a class moves online on a heavy-rain evening at the same fee.
- Cancellations: what happens when either side cancels, and how payment is recorded.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a home tutor cost in Greater Noida?
On NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour. Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end, and specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, and you see it before the free demo class.
Is home tuition dearer in Greater Noida West than in the Greek-letter sectors?
Not as a rule. Class, board, subject and experience come first. Location matters through travel time: gate routines and Gaur Chowk traffic add minutes in the West, while thin transport in outer plotted sectors narrows the pool. A tutor from your own zone usually keeps costs steadiest.
Does living near an Aqua Line station help?
It can widen your choice. Tutors who travel by metro can reach homes near Knowledge Park II, Pari Chowk, Alpha 1, Delta 1, GNIDA Office or Depot without driving, so you may get more quotes to compare. Greater Noida West has no working station yet, so tutors there travel by road.
Will the planned metro to Greater Noida West lower tuition costs?
It is too early to say, because the extension from Noida Sector 51 to Sector 4 near Kisan Chowk is planned, not open. If it opens, tutors who travel by metro could reach more of the West. For now, plan and budget on today's routes and a tutor who lives nearby.
How many classes a week should we budget for?
Two one-hour classes a week is a common start for one subject. Where the tutor's trip is long, two 90-minute classes may work better. Plan for extra hours in the months before pre-boards or entrance exams, and review after the first month once you can see progress.
