Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Yes. Alpha 1 families can have a tutor visit the house, or study online when the subject calls for a specialist who lives further away. Message NXTutors with your block, the class, board and subject, and the hours you have free. We reply with two or three matched tutors, and each one's fee is on the shortlist before you book anything. Nothing is charged for the opening demo lesson, and nothing for swapping tutors if you need to later.
Within Greater Noida, Alpha 1 is one of eleven sectors in the Alpha–Delta and Pari Chowk zone. Two things set it apart: an Aqua Line station inside the sector, and a busy commercial belt of shopping plazas beside the houses. This guide covers what both mean for a weekly lesson.
| What | Alpha 1 |
|---|---|
| Zone | Alpha–Delta and Pari Chowk, the city's original Greek-letter core |
| Homes | Independent houses and builder floors on authority plots, with some flats and studio units |
| Metro | ALPHA 1 on the Aqua Line, in Block E; Pari Chowk is one stop north and DELTA 1 one stop south |
| Last trains at ALPHA 1 | NMRC's timetable shows about 10:06 pm towards Noida Sector 51 and about 10:39 pm towards Depot; Sunday trains start at 8 am from the end stations |
| Roads | Sector roads feed the Surajpur–Kasna road; the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway ends at Pari Chowk next door |
| Everyday landmarks | The C Block market, and plazas on the commercial belt such as Krishna Alpha Plaza and Meridian View Plaza |
| Neighbours | Alpha 2, Beta 1, Beta 2, Gamma 1, Gamma 2, Delta 1, Delta 2, Knowledge Park I and II, Tugalpur village |
| Boards families ask about | Mostly CBSE, then ICSE/ISC and UP Board, with occasional IB or Cambridge IGCSE requests |
| Easier lesson windows | Mid-afternoon to early evening; later slots suit tutors who ride a two-wheeler |
Alpha 1 was among the first residential sectors of Greater Noida. Wikipedia names Alpha, Beta and Gamma as the oldest of the Greek-letter sectors, and the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) still governs them. Land here was handed out as plots, and owners built on them over the years. Today the lanes hold independent houses, houses converted into builder floors, and a smaller share of flats and studio units, with sizes on property portals running from one room to large family homes.
What makes Alpha 1 feel different from its quieter neighbours is commerce. A commercial belt runs through the sector, with plazas such as Krishna Alpha Plaza on Commercial Belt 1 in Block E and Meridian View Plaza, home to bank branches, bakeries, couriers, grocers, photo studios and small offices. The C Block market covers daily shopping on the residential side. The metro station is also in Block E, so the sector sees office staff, shoppers and commuters through the day alongside the families who live here.
That mix shapes the household routine. Some families have lived in the same house for years, while portals show many floors and flats let on rent, so a lane can hold long-settled owners and newer tenants side by side. For tuition, the type of home is the bigger question. A full house usually has a room that can become a study room for an hour. A builder floor puts one household on each level, and lessons tend to happen in the living area or a bedroom.
Portal reviews describe Alpha 1 as central, with buses, autos and cabs easy to find, roads with footpaths, and parks between blocks. Those everyday features are why tutors from other parts of Greater Noida, and some from Noida along the Aqua Line, are willing to take an Alpha 1 address.
Public material on Alpha 1, mostly property-portal reviews and city news, keeps coming back to a few themes. Each one changes how you might plan tuition.
The rest follows the questions every family asks: whether the tutor knows the board, whether they will keep the same weekly time, and whether a Class 11 or 12 subject works better face to face or on a screen.
Alpha 1 is one of the few sectors in Greater Noida where a tutor can step off a train inside the sector. ALPHA 1 station on the Aqua Line is elevated, sits in Block E, and opened with the line on 25 January 2019. Heading north, the next stop is Pari Chowk, then Knowledge Park II and the long run of Noida stations up to Noida Sector 51, where riders change for Delhi Metro's Blue Line. Heading south, the next stops are DELTA 1, GNIDA Office and Depot.
The timetable matters for evening lessons. NMRC lists the last train from ALPHA 1 towards Noida Sector 51 at about 10:06 pm, and towards Depot at about 10:39 pm, with the first trains on Sundays starting from the end stations at 8 am rather than 6 am. A tutor who comes by metro for a 7 pm lesson has plenty of margin; one teaching a late Class 12 session may prefer to ride a scooter. Check the NMRC site for changes before you agree a late slot.
By road, the sector's internal roads join the Surajpur–Kasna road, and Pari Chowk, where the six-lane Noida–Greater Noida Expressway ends, is next door. A tutor coming from Noida by car usually arrives through Pari Chowk, which is where weekday delays build up. A tutor from Knowledge Park or Tugalpur village crosses only a short stretch.
The shortest trips come from the sectors that touch Alpha 1: Alpha 2, Beta 1, Gamma 1 and Delta 1, with Beta 2, Gamma 2 and Delta 2 close behind. Portals put DELTA 1 station under two kilometres away, so even a tutor who lives near the next station can arrive by e-rickshaw. Minutes are left out on purpose, since the same ride can feel short at 4 pm and slow at 7 pm.
Most Alpha 1 homes have no society gate, so the arrangements are simple. Send the tutor the block letter, house or plot number, the floor if you live in a builder floor, and a map pin. Lanes in the lettered blocks look alike to a newcomer, and a landmark helps: the C Block market, a plaza on the commercial belt, or the metro station in Block E.
If you live near the commercial belt, point the tutor to a spot where a scooter will not block a shop front, because daytime parking near the plazas fills up. In a builder floor, mention whether the street door is kept locked and who will come down to open it. In the few apartment blocks, a guard may ask for a name, so share the tutor's name with the guard before the free demo.
Most lessons happen at a dining table or in a spare room. An adult should be in the house during lessons, with the study-room door left ajar for younger children; holding the first few lessons in the same spot helps a child settle.
Families who want a woman tutor only need to say so in the request. NXTutors can then shortlist a female home tutor in Greater Noida where one is available for your class, subject and timing. Anyone joining NXTutors as a tutor passes an ID check first: a one-time code confirms their phone or email, and our team looks over the government photo ID they upload (read how tutor ID checks work). This is not a police or background check, so use the demo hour to form your own view as well.
Requests from this part of Greater Noida mostly name CBSE, with ICSE/ISC and UP Board after it, and now and then IB or Cambridge IGCSE. What changes for a home tutor is less the sector and more the board.

For small children, a lesson of 45 minutes to an hour, three or four days a week, works better than one long weekend sitting. In an independent house, pick a corner away from the front door, since the doorbell rings often in a busy sector. Leave the school diary out for the tutor, who can then pitch the day's practice at what the class covered.
These years build the habits board classes depend on, particularly in Maths and Science. One tutor often covers both, with a short weekly test. Ask the tutor to look at the school notebook, not only the textbook, so gaps show up early. For a dedicated subject teacher, start with a maths tutor at home in Greater Noida.
Class 9 is the year to set a steady routine, because Class 10 leaves little room to catch up. Lessons of around 90 minutes, two or three times a week, give time to teach a topic and set a timed question on it. Many families move to separate tutors for Maths and Science here. Our page on Class 10 home tuition in Greater Noida covers the board year in more detail.
At senior level, one tutor per subject is normal: Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, Accountancy or Economics. Students preparing for an entrance exam often attend classes elsewhere, and Alpha 1's metro station makes that travel easier than from most plotted sectors. The home tutor then fills the gaps that classes move past: board-style answers, practical files and difficult chapters. A longer weekend session can suit better than short weekday visits squeezed between other classes.
Main board papers for Alpha 1 students come early in the year; CBSE's 2026 Class 10 main exam, for instance, ran from 17 February to 11 March. CBSE posts its datesheet on cbse.gov.in, CISCE posts ICSE and ISC timetables on cisce.org, and UPMSP publishes UP Board programmes on upmsp.edu.in. Take dates only from these sites. From about December, many families add a lesson a week or switch to past papers, so agree extra slots with the tutor before evenings fill up. On exam mornings, travel on the expressway and through Pari Chowk can be slow, so a home lesson the evening before is often more useful than a trip to a revision class.
A home tutor saves your child the travel and lets you see how lessons go. In Alpha 1 the choice of home tutors is wider than in most plotted sectors, because the station inside the sector brings tutors from along the Aqua Line within reach.
Online lessons skip the trip altogether. They suit specialist subjects, IB or IGCSE, and weeks when exams or rain make travel hard. If the right teacher lives in another city, online tutoring for Greater Noida students is often the practical route.
A coaching centre puts the travel on your child. From Alpha 1 that is easier than from most sectors, since a metro ride or a short auto trip reaches Knowledge Park and Pari Chowk. The trade-off is less individual attention. Many families mix the two: a centre for an entrance course and a home tutor for school subjects and board answers.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor decides their own rate, and it appears beside their name on the shortlist ahead of the free demo.
What moves the figure is the class, board and subject, how long each lesson runs, and how many lessons a week you book. Because a station sits inside Alpha 1, travel weighs on the fee less than in plotted sectors far from the metro: a tutor who rides the Aqua Line in faces a fixed trip, while one driving through Pari Chowk at peak hour may prefer fewer, longer lessons.
Work out the month before you say yes: hourly fee, times lesson length, times lessons per month. Then ask what happens on school holidays, on days you cancel, and when you want extra sessions in February, so the bill holds no surprises.
A 2026 guide to study spaces in Greater Noida lists a few paid study rooms in Alpha 1 and Alpha 2, and a larger cluster of private study rooms in Knowledge Park II, a short metro ride north. The same guide lists a public library run by the Greater Noida authority at its office complex. Check opening hours and membership directly before you plan around any of them. For most children, the quiet room at home is still the main study space, and the parks between blocks are useful for a short break between subjects.
Pari Chowk station, one stop north, serves Knowledge Park I and Tugalpur village. The zone guide compares all eleven sectors of this belt.

AI-first tutoring, with real teachers
You tell us the class, board, subject and where in Alpha 1 you live. Our AI does the slow part of the search and returns two or three tutors who fit, not a long list to scroll. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
Where AI stops and people start
Move out to the wider area or in to nearby sectors. Tutors usually travel short distances, so the closest areas are the most useful places to look.
Distances are straight-line estimates between sector centres from OpenStreetMap data; the road route is usually longer.

You can ask NXTutors, for Alpha 1, for a home tutor in any school subject, from early reading in the junior classes to Class 12 Chemistry. The block is one of eleven pages in our Alpha–Delta & Pari Chowk zone of Greater Noida, a zone that also takes in Alpha 2, Beta 1, Beta 2 and Delta 1.
When this page loads, the first cards belong to tutors who live in Alpha 1 or have said they will travel there. Behind them you will find people teaching elsewhere in this zone, then anyone in Greater Noida as a whole, then visiting tutors who are based in Noida, Ghaziabad or Delhi; online lessons come at the end. If nobody has signed up for Alpha 1 itself yet, those wider options are what you see, and each card explains why it appears.
A good first message tells us your child's class and board and the topic that worries them most. Families on UP Board can mention whether High School or Intermediate is the year ahead. Expect a shortlist of two or three tutors, and know that your opening lesson with any of them costs nothing. Our Maths home tutors page is useful if numbers are the main concern.
