Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Yes, a home tutor can come to your house in Sigma 2. Most homes here are independent houses on plots, so the tutor walks from the lane straight to your door. Tell NXTutors your block, your child's class, board and subject, and the evenings that are free. You get two or three matched tutors, with each tutor's fee shown before you book. Your opening class is a free demo, and a change of tutor further down the line is free as well.
Sigma 2 is part of the Pi, Sigma and Sectors 36–37 zone of Greater Noida. It is a quiet plotted sector some distance from the metro, and that one fact shapes most of the advice below: how a tutor travels in, which hours suit, and when an online class makes more sense.
| What | Sigma 2 |
|---|---|
| Zone | Pi, Sigma and Sectors 36–37, south of Pari Chowk |
| Homes | Mostly residential plots and independent houses; one small apartment block (Gladiolus Apartment) appears on portals |
| Map name | OpenStreetMap labels the sector "Sector 43 Sigma 2"; Sigma 1 appears as Sector 42 |
| Blocks named on portals | Block C and Block D, among others |
| Edges | Second Meridian road on the north side facing Sector 37; Sigma 1 to the west; Sigma 3 and Sigma 4 to the south |
| Nearest metro | No station in the sector; GNIDA Office, Depot and DELTA 1 on the Aqua Line are the closest, each roughly three and a half kilometres away in a straight line |
| Daily shopping | Pal Market in Kyampur, listed about 0.3 km away; Rambhul Market a little further |
| Close neighbours | Omicron 1, Sigma 4, Sigma 3, Sector 36 (Rho 1) and Sector 37 (Rho 2) |
| Easier lesson windows | Late afternoon to early evening, so a tutor using the metro can make the last train home |
Sigma 2 is one of the planned residential sectors that the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) laid out south of Pari Chowk. Land was released here as residential plots, and families build their own houses on them. Square Yards lists only plots and independent houses as the property types for sale in the sector, and the only apartment project it names inside Sigma 2 is a single ready building, Gladiolus Apartment. The authority is still releasing land: a GNIDA plot scheme reported in January 2025 offered residential plots in four sectors, Sigma 2 among them.
That pattern gives the sector a particular rhythm. On one lane you may find a finished family home with a garden, an empty plot, and a house under construction side by side. Rental listings on NoBroker show three-bedroom independent houses let to families, so alongside owner families there are tenants who rent a whole house or one floor of it.
An owners' forum thread from 2011, one of the few public discussions of the sector, described Sigma 2 as a sector of larger plots, wide roads and parks that filled up more slowly than the older Alpha and Beta sectors. Much has changed since then, but the basic shape still holds: low buildings, open space and fewer people per street than in the tower sectors of Greater Noida West.
For tuition, the type of home matters more than the census. A full house usually has a room that can be set aside for an hour, and with no lift or society lobby, the tutor reaches your door directly. The flip side is that a house on a quiet lane can be hard to find for a first-time visitor, and the nearest shops and buses are outside the sector, which affects how a tutor gets in.
There are few reviews of Sigma 2 itself on the property portals; Square Yards, for example, shows none. The public material that does exist, from portal listings, an older owners' forum and city news, points to a handful of themes. Each one has a practical answer.
None of this rules out a strong tutor. It just means the timetable and the route deserve a five-minute conversation at the free demo.
No metro station lies inside Sigma 2. Measured in a straight line on OpenStreetMap, GNIDA Office, Depot and DELTA 1 stations on the Aqua Line are each roughly three and a half kilometres from the middle of the sector. GNIDA Office stands in Knowledge Park IV, between DELTA 1 and Depot, the line's southern end. A tutor who comes by metro finishes the trip by auto or e-rickshaw, so ask which station they use and how they cover the last stretch.
The evening timetable is worth a glance. NMRC lists the last train from GNIDA Office towards Noida Sector 51 at about 10:01 pm, from DELTA 1 at about 10:03 pm and from Depot at about 10:00 pm; on Sundays, services start at 8 am from both end stations. A lesson that ends by about 8:30 pm leaves a metro-using tutor enough time to reach the station without rushing. Check the online option if the slot you need is later than that.
By road, the sector's northern edge runs along a road that OpenStreetMap names Second Meridian, which separates Sigma 2 from Sector 37. First Meridian runs further west between Sector 36 and Sigma 1. A tutor on a two-wheeler from Sector 36, Sector 37 or Omicron 1 has a short ride; Square Yards lists Omicron 1 at under a kilometre and Sector 36 and Rho 1 at just over one.
Tutors from Pari Chowk, Alpha or Delta usually come south through the sector roads. Those driving from Noida use the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway, which ends at Pari Chowk, and then head south. We leave journey minutes out on purpose, because the same trip feels quick at 4 pm and slow at 7 pm.
Most Sigma 2 homes are standalone houses, so there is no society app or visitor pass to arrange. If your lane or colony keeps a guard at the entrance, give the guard the tutor's name before the demo. Send the tutor the block letter, plot number, a map pin and one landmark, such as the Second Meridian road or the nearest park.
If the stretch near your house still has empty plots and little street lighting, switch on the gate light before an evening lesson and tell the tutor where to park a scooter off the road. In a house where the family lives upstairs and tenants below, say which entrance to use.
Choose a table in a room close to where an adult is sitting, keep the door open for younger children, and use the same spot each week. Families who prefer a woman tutor just need to say so in the request; NXTutors then includes a woman home tutor in Greater Noida where one fits your class, subject and time.
Every tutor who joins NXTutors goes through an ID check: they confirm their phone or email with a one-time code and upload a government photo ID, which our team reviews (see how the tutor ID check works). It is not a police or background check, so stay home for the free demo and judge the tutor yourself.
In this zone, requests mostly name CBSE, followed by ICSE/ISC and UP Board, with occasional IB or Cambridge IGCSE. For a home tutor in a Sigma 2 house, the board changes what to keep on the study table more than where the lesson happens.
For how the boards differ, read our CBSE, ICSE, IB and IGCSE comparison.
Young children do better with short lessons several times a week than with one long weekend session. In a house with a garden or courtyard, keep the lesson indoors and away from the window, so passing construction work or street noise does not pull attention away. Leave the school diary on the table so the tutor can see what was taught that day.
These are the years to fix reading speed, tables, fractions and basic science vocabulary. One tutor for Maths and Science is common, with a short written test every week or two. A home maths tutor in Greater Noida can then be added as the school moves into algebra and geometry.
Class 9 sets the routine Class 10 relies on. Two or three lessons of about an hour and a half each week give time to teach, then test. In a plotted sector far from the metro, it helps to fix the same weekday slots for the whole year, because a regular route is easier for a tutor to keep than a changing one.
At this stage most students want a separate tutor for each subject. Many also attend entrance classes elsewhere, which from Sigma 2 means a road trip towards Pari Chowk or Knowledge Park. A home tutor then covers board-style answers, practical records and the chapters that a fast entrance course skips. Longer weekend lessons often fit better than squeezed weekday visits; our Class 12 home tuition page covers the subject choices.
Board exams fall early in the calendar year. Trust only the boards' websites for dates (CBSE at cbse.gov.in, CISCE at cisce.org, UPMSP at upmsp.edu.in), not forwarded messages. From about December, many families add a weekly lesson or switch to past papers. In a sector where most tutors travel by road, agree any extra winter slots early, because fog and early darkness push tutors towards earlier hours. Keep one or two online revision sessions in reserve for days when travel is hard.
A home tutor suits Sigma 2 well for school subjects: the child stays home, the parent can watch how lessons run, and there is no evening trip to arrange. The trade-off is choice. Fewer tutors live close to a plotted sector away from the metro, so the shortlist leans on tutors from nearby sectors who ride in.
Online lessons remove the travel question completely and widen the pool to tutors in other cities. They work well for IB, IGCSE, higher Maths and Physics, and for exam weeks.
A coaching centre means your child travels instead. From Sigma 2 that usually means a road trip north towards Pari Chowk or Knowledge Park, since there is no station nearby to walk to. Many families keep an entrance-exam centre for Classes 11 and 12 and use a home tutor for board answers and school tests.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors fix their own rates, and the rate sits next to each name on your shortlist ahead of the demo.
The figure moves with the class and board, the subject, how long each lesson is and how many lessons a week you book. Travel plays a part in Sigma 2: a tutor riding in from the next sector carries little travel cost, while one who comes by metro and auto may prefer fewer, longer sessions over many short ones.
Before you agree, multiply the hourly fee by lesson length and lessons a month. Then ask what happens on school holidays, on days you cancel, and when you want extra sessions before exams.
We could not find a public library or reading room inside Sigma 2 in any source we trust. A 2026 study-space guide lists paid study rooms around Alpha 1, Alpha 2 and Knowledge Park II and a library run by the Greater Noida authority at its office complex, all a road trip away. For most Sigma 2 children, a quiet room at home remains the study space.
Kyampur, with Pal Market, sits close by, and Sector 36 (Rho 1) is a little further west. The zone guide covers the full group.

AI-first tutoring, with real teachers
You tell us the class, board, subject and where in Sigma 2 you live. Our AI does the slow part of the search and returns two or three tutors who fit, not a long list to scroll. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
Where AI stops and people start
Move out to the wider area or in to nearby sectors. Tutors usually travel short distances, so the closest areas are the most useful places to look.
Distances are straight-line estimates between sector centres from OpenStreetMap data; the road route is usually longer.

A steady weekly rhythm matters more than the number of hours. For a child in Sigma 2, two well-planned sessions a week can do more than four hurried ones, so think carefully about which evenings are genuinely free before you ask for a tutor.
Share that timetable with us along with your child's class, board and subject. For IB or IGCSE, list the subjects and say whether the need is regular support or revision before exams. For Accountancy or Economics, mention the chapters already taught at school. Two or three tutors follow, and switching later costs nothing if the fit is not right.
Sigma 2 is part of the Pi, Sigma & Sectors 36–37 zone of Greater Noida, which also includes Sigma 1, Sigma 3, Sigma 4 and Swarn Nagri. On this page, tutors who live in or visit Sigma 2 are shown before anyone else. If there is no one yet, you will meet tutors from those other pages, then from the rest of the city, then home tutors from elsewhere in the NCR and online tutors. Our Accountancy home tutors page gives a wider view of the choices.
