Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Sigma 3 sits in the Pi, Sigma and Sectors 36–37 zone of Greater Noida, on the southern side of the Sigma group near Kasna. The sector is in the middle of a change: its present homes are low-rise, while a large tower project is being built for completion around 2030. This guide explains what each means for a weekly lesson.

Sigma 3 is a GNIDA residential sector on the southern edge of the Sigma group. Today most families live in low-rise homes. Property portals describe villas and plots as much of what changes hands here, and an owners' forum from 2011 described the sector as a mix of authority-built bungalows and group-housing land, laid out around several parks. That gives many streets a calm, spread-out feel, with large homes behind boundary walls.
The sector's next chapter is already under way. In February 2024, GNIDA put two group-housing plots in Sigma 3 up for e-auction, and in August 2024 Godrej Properties emerged as the highest bidder for the 9.5-acre plot. The project on that land, Godrej Arden, is listed by the developer with three- and four-bedroom apartments, a clubhouse and a tennis court, and a stated possession date of May 2030. Square Yards also lists upcoming projects in Sigma 3 under the Prestige and Eldeco names, without details yet. Because these launches dominate portal listings, Sigma 3 can look like a tower sector online even though the homes people live in today are mostly houses.
So the families a tutor meets in Sigma 3 now are largely villa and house owners, often with room to spare for a study corner. Over the next few years they will be joined by apartment buyers, and the sector will have two kinds of tuition visit side by side: the doorstep visit to a bungalow and the gate-and-lift visit to a tower.
For parents in a villa or bungalow, that future does not change much today. For buyers who will move into the new towers, it is worth knowing that the tutor arrangements that suit a gated society, set out below, will apply from day one.
Public reviews of Sigma 3 are thin; Square Yards shows no locality reviews at all. Combining portal listings, news on the land auction and an older owners' forum, a few recurring concerns stand out, each with a simple planning answer.
The nearest public transport hub is a bus stand. OpenStreetMap shows a UP Roadways bus stand just beyond the south-western corner of Sigma 3, a short walk or e-rickshaw ride from most homes in the sector. A tutor coming by bus from elsewhere in Greater Noida may find it the easiest drop-off point.
The Aqua Line is further. In a straight line on OpenStreetMap, DELTA 1 station is a little over four kilometres north-west of the middle of Sigma 3, and GNIDA Office in Knowledge Park IV a similar distance north. NMRC lists the last train from DELTA 1 towards Noida Sector 51 at about 10:03 pm and towards Depot at about 10:42 pm. With an auto ride at each end, a metro-using tutor needs an early finish to make the last train comfortably.
Most tutors will come by two-wheeler or car. Riders from Sigma 1, Sigma 2, Sigma 4 and Sector 36 have the shortest trips; Square Yards puts Sigma 4 about 0.6 km from Sigma 3. Tutors from the Pi sectors and Pari Chowk come south through the sector roads, and those from Noida use the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway to Pari Chowk first, a stretch news reports describe as jam-prone at office hours.
The Honda car factory, mapped to the west of the Sigma sectors, and the Kasna side of the sector are handy reference points for anyone using a map app. We do not quote travel times, since the same ride varies widely through the day.
In a villa or bungalow, the arrival is simple: the tutor rings at your gate. Tell them the house number, which gate to use if you have two, and where a two-wheeler or car can stand without blocking the road. If a dog lives in the house, keep it in another room for the first visit.
Once residents move into the new tower project, the routine will look different. Expect visitor registration at the main gate, a flat and tower number to give security, and rules on visitor parking. A tutor's name logged in advance saves ten minutes on the first day, and a regular slot makes the guards familiar with the face.
Whatever the home, pick a lesson spot where an adult can see in, keep the door open for younger children, and sit in on the free demo. If you would like a woman tutor, mention it in your request and NXTutors will include a female home tutor in Greater Noida wherever one fits the class and timing.
On joining NXTutors, each tutor completes an ID check: a one-time code confirms the phone or email, and the team reviews a government photo ID (read our tutor ID check). It is not a police or background check, so your own judgement at the demo still counts.
Across this zone, families mostly ask for CBSE help, then ICSE/ISC and UP Board, with some IB and Cambridge IGCSE requests. In Sigma 3's larger homes, the main difference a board makes to a home tutor is the paperwork to have ready.
Our board-by-board guide compares CBSE, ICSE, IB and IGCSE in full.
Small children manage forty-five minutes to an hour, three or four times a week. In a bungalow, a corner of the dining room often works better than a separate study, because the child can see a parent nearby. Phonics, reading aloud and number games need no more than a table, a few books and a slate.
Middle school is where gaps in fractions, grammar and basic science first show up. A single tutor for Maths and Science, checking the school notebook each week, catches them early. If you need a dedicated subject teacher, look at our science tutors at home in Greater Noida.
From Class 9, plan two or three lessons a week of about ninety minutes, with a timed question at the end of each topic. Since tutors here mostly travel by road, a fixed timetable through the year is easier to keep than shifting days.
For senior classes, families in Sigma 3 usually hire subject specialists, one for Physics, another for Chemistry or Maths, and so on. Students who also attend entrance courses spend time on the road towards Pari Chowk or Knowledge Park, which leaves weekend mornings as the natural slot for a long home session on board answers and practical files.
Board exams for most students fall in the early months of the year. Check datesheets only on cbse.gov.in, cisce.org and upmsp.edu.in. In Sigma 3, winter fog and early dusk make long evening rides harder for tutors, so shift lessons earlier in the day from about December and book any extra revision sessions in advance. A mix of home lessons and one online past-paper session a week keeps the routine steady when travel is difficult.
A home tutor brings the lesson to a sector where travel takes effort, and lets you see how your child is taught. The cost is a narrower pool, since fewer tutors live this far south.
Online tuition widens that pool to the whole country and is the practical route for IB, IGCSE and advanced Maths or Physics. Our online tutors for Greater Noida students also cover exam-week revision.
A coaching centre suits students who want a classroom and a fixed batch for JEE or NEET, but from Sigma 3 every centre visit is a road journey. Many families use a centre for the entrance syllabus and a home tutor for school marks.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors choose their own rate, and NXTutors shows it to you before the free demo.
Class, board, subject, lesson length and how many lessons you book each week all change the bill. Distance matters in Sigma 3 too: a tutor riding over from Sigma 4 or Sector 36 has little travel to cover, while one coming from further north may suggest longer, less frequent lessons.
Work out the monthly total before you agree, and settle in advance how holidays, cancellations and extra exam-season lessons will be handled.
We found no public library or study room inside Sigma 3. The nearest options listed in a 2026 study-space guide are paid study rooms around the Alpha sectors and Knowledge Park II, and the Greater Noida authority's library at its office complex, all some distance by road. For now, a quiet room at home is the practical study space.
Kasna, which property portals list among Sigma 3's neighbours, is the nearest older settlement. The Pi and Sigma zone guide lists every member sector.

AI-first tutoring, with real teachers
You tell us the class, board, subject and where in Sigma 3 you live. Our AI does the slow part of the search and returns two or three tutors who fit, not a long list to scroll. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
Where AI stops and people start
Move out to the wider area or in to nearby sectors. Tutors usually travel short distances, so the closest areas are the most useful places to look.
Distances are straight-line estimates between sector centres from OpenStreetMap data; the road route is usually longer.

Good tuition includes good communication with parents. When you speak to a tutor for a child in Sigma 3, agree early how you will hear about progress: a short message after each class, a weekly summary, or a call before school tests. Knowing this from the start avoids worry later.
Once you share the class, board and subjects, two or three tutors are put forward, and you can read each tutor's fee before the free demo. Sigma 3 is one of nine pages that make up the Pi, Sigma & Sectors 36–37 zone, so tutors listed for Sigma 4, Sector 37 or Pi 2 may also be open to coming here. Read their cards and ask.
For Science in the middle classes, ask the tutor how they explain ideas with everyday examples. For Economics or Accountancy in the senior classes, ask how they practise answer writing for board papers. IB and IGCSE students should mention their programme and subjects, and NEET aspirants can say how far the syllabus has been covered. Our Science home tutors page covers the whole of Greater Noida, which may help if you want a wider choice before you decide.
