What home tuition costs in Greater Noida

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Who lives in Phi 2: employee societies and block houses

Wikipedia places Phi 2 in south-western Greater Noida, with Omega 1 to the north, Phi 1 to the west and Swarn Nagri to the east. What gives the sector its character is a set of large housing societies built for particular groups of employees. The most widely named is CGEWHO Kendriya Vihar, a gated complex from the Central Government Employees Welfare Housing Organisation, whose listings mention a gym, children's pool, jogging and cycling tracks, CCTV and a security gate. Anandashray Society is mapped in the sector with a Phi-II address, and property portals also list Jal Shakti Vihar, Jalvayu Vihar and HSCC Apartments in or beside Phi 2, around an area that addresses call the builders' area.

Alongside the societies are plotted blocks with independent houses. OpenStreetMap labels parks by block letter, such as Park 1 in Block D, and rental portals list independent houses in Phi 2 as well as two- and three-bedroom flats. So a Phi 2 family may live behind a large society gate or in a house on a lettered block.

Many societies here began as employee housing; fix the lesson slot around your own family's working hours. For tuition that can be a help: there is often an adult in the flat during the afternoon, which makes after-school slots easier to staff than in homes where both parents commute late.

The surroundings are practical. India Expo Mart Road runs just north of the sector, and two malls, The Grand Venice and MSX, stand a short way to the east near the Surajpur side, which makes them easy meeting points for a new tutor.

Which tutor fits your child?

What Phi 2 parents weigh

Reviews of Phi 2 on property portals are more upbeat about getting around than reviews of the sectors further south, with a few repeated worries.

  • Autos and cabs are easy to find. Residents mention cab and auto availability, decent public transport and well-kept roads. A tutor who comes by metro can usually pick up an auto quickly at Pari Chowk.
  • But the station is not on the doorstep. Some reviewers still find the metro a couple of kilometres away. Tutors who ride their own scooter are steadier for late slots.
  • Quiet nights. Some reviews say the sector feels deserted after dark, with stray dogs and the odd street light out, and suggest women avoid travelling late. That is a reason to end lessons in the early evening, especially for a woman tutor travelling alone.
  • Parking is tight. Reviewers mention limited parking. Ask your society desk where a visiting tutor can leave a two-wheeler.
  • Security and steady utilities. Reviewers praise security, cleanliness, steady water and few power cuts, all of which help a regular evening lesson run as planned.

Beyond these, families want what everyone wants: a tutor who knows the board, holds a fixed slot, and can tell when a senior subject would be better taught by an online specialist.

Getting a tutor to Phi 2: Pari Chowk is the key

Phi 2 has no station of its own, but of all the Chi and Phi sectors it is nearest to Pari Chowk station on the map. Pari Chowk sits in the Knowledge Park I area at Tugalpur village, on the Aqua Line that opened on 25 January 2019 between Noida Sector 51 and Depot. Knowledge Park II, one stop towards Noida, and ALPHA 1, one stop towards Depot, are the other options for a tutor already on the line. From any of them the last stretch is by auto, e-rickshaw or cab.

NMRC lists the last train from Pari Chowk towards Noida Sector 51 at about 10:08 pm, and towards Depot at about 10:37 pm. For a tutor heading back to Noida, a lesson that ends by about half past eight leaves a comfortable margin. Sunday trains start at 8 am from the end stations, so very early Sunday sessions suit tutors with their own vehicle. Check the NMRC site for changes.

By road, Phi 2 is reached from the north off India Expo Mart Road, and the big junction nearby is Pari Chowk itself, where the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway ends and the Yamuna Expressway begins. That roundabout is the usual cause of evening delays, so a tutor coming through it at office hours should allow slack. Tutors from Swarn Nagri, Omega 1 or the Kasna side approach without crossing the main junction.

The shortest trips come from next door: Omega 1, Phi 1, Phi 3 and Swarn Nagri. A tutor already teaching in one of these is the easiest match. Minutes are not given, as the same ride can double in the evening rush.

Society entry, blocks and safety in Phi 2

In an employee society such as CGEWHO Kendriya Vihar or Anandashray: guards log every visitor. Share the tutor's name and phone with the society office or app a day before the demo, give the tower or block and flat number, and ask where a visitor's scooter can stand.

In a house on a lettered block: send the block letter, house number and map pin. A block park makes a good landmark, for example the park in Block D. If the gate is locked, say who will open it.

For any home: keep an adult in the house during lessons and leave the room door open for younger children. Because reviews mention quiet streets and stray dogs after dark, agree that an evening tutor sends a message when they reach the main road.

If your family prefers a woman tutor, mention it in the request, and NXTutors will shortlist a female tutor for home lessons in Greater Noida where one is available. Each tutor who joins goes through an ID check in which they confirm their phone number or email and upload a government photo ID for our team to review; see how the check works. It is not a police or background check, so take the demo as your own chance to judge.

Boards Phi 2 families ask about

As across this zone, CBSE comes up most in Phi 2, followed by ICSE/ISC and UP Board, with the occasional IB or IGCSE request. Families who expect to move cities sometimes ask whether a tutor can keep a child on track if the next school follows a different board. A tutor who knows two boards is useful here; mention any likely move in your request.

Use the official sites for material: cbseacademic.nic.in for CBSE syllabus and sample papers, cisce.org for ICSE and ISC, and upmsp.edu.in for UP Board notices.

For the full side-by-side, see which board suits your child: CBSE, ICSE, IB or IGCSE.

Phi 2 tuition by class

Nursery to Class 5

Little ones do well with short, regular lessons, three or four a week. In society flats an adult is often home in the afternoon, which makes an after-school slot easy. Use a quiet bedroom corner rather than the living room, and keep the school diary on the table. For this age, look at home tutors for primary classes in Greater Noida.

Classes 6 to 8

A single tutor for Maths and Science is common, with a short written test every fortnight. If your child may change school or board on a parent's transfer, ask the tutor to keep notes that will travel. English tuition at home in Greater Noida is worth adding in these years if reading and grammar lag.

Classes 9 and 10

Board preparation starts in Class 9. Plan two or three sessions a week of around 90 minutes for Maths and Science, with timed practice in each. Many families take a Greater Noida maths home tutor first, then add Science once the rhythm holds.

Classes 11 and 12

One tutor per subject is normal now. Phi 2's nearness to Pari Chowk makes travelling to entrance classes easier than from the southern Chi sectors, so the home tutor can focus on board answers, practical files and chapters that classes hurried through. Weekend sessions fit well around weekday travel.

Exam season in Phi 2

Exam timetables appear on cbse.gov.in, cisce.org and upmsp.edu.in, and those are the only dates to plan around. From December, many families add a weekly lesson or switch to past papers; book those extra slots early. In Phi 2, the risk on exam-week evenings is the Pari Chowk roundabout, so hold the last revision sessions in the afternoon or online if the tutor has to come through the junction.

Home, online or centre: the Phi 2 view

Home tuition saves your child time and lets you see each lesson, which is why it is the default for school subjects here.

Online lessons fit IB, IGCSE, rare subjects and families who may move on transfer, since the same tutor can continue from anywhere. See online tutoring for Greater Noida.

A centre is more reachable from Phi 2 than from the southern sectors, because Pari Chowk station and the Knowledge Park side are close. The trade-off is less personal attention. Many families use a centre for entrance courses and a home tutor for school work.

Phi 2 tuition fees

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and each one appears on your NXTutors shortlist before the free demo.

Class, board, subject, lesson length and sessions a week move the fee most. Travel is a smaller factor in Phi 2 than in the far Chi sectors, because Pari Chowk is close; a tutor who has to cross the junction at peak hour may still prefer longer, less frequent lessons.

Work out the month before you agree: fee per hour times lesson length times lessons per month. Settle in advance how holidays, cancellations and exam-month extras are counted.

Quiet study spots near Phi 2

A 2026 guide to Greater Noida study spaces puts the largest group of paid study rooms in Knowledge Park II, one metro stop from Pari Chowk, and lists the Greater Noida authority's public library at its office complex. Check timings and membership before relying on either. Within Phi 2, the block parks and society grounds are handy for a break between subjects.

Sectors close to Phi 2

  • Omega 1: directly north, gated colonies and the Yamuna authority's head office.
  • Swarn Nagri: directly east, a neighbour on the Pi and Sigma side.
  • Phi 3: to the south, mainly houses with block parks.
  • Omega 2: north of Omega 1, right beside Pari Chowk station.
  • Chi 3: south-west, plot houses and a few towers.
  • Phi 1 and Kasna: western and eastern neighbours without their own NXTutors page yet.

The Omega, Chi and Phi zone overview covers the rest.
