What home tuition costs in Greater Noida

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Biology tutors in Greater Noida: a steady slot for a heavy subject

Senior biology rewards regular work more than almost any other subject. A chapter left for a month becomes a pile of unfamiliar terms, and NEET preparation depends on recall that has been tested week after week. In Greater Noida, where a tutor may need an auto from the Aqua Line or a long run through Gaur Chowk to reach you, the question is not only who knows the subject but who can keep a steady slot. NXTutors shortlists two or three biology tutors who teach your child's course and can reach your sector reliably, or teach it well online, with every fee shown before you choose. The first class is a free demo.

What changes in biology from Class 9 to Class 12?

In Classes 9 and 10, biology is one strand of science, and our science tutors in Greater Noida page covers those years. From Class 11 the subject stands alone and grows sharply. On CBSE, the theory paper in each of the two years is 70 marks, and the units show the shape of the work:

CBSE biology theory marks by unit, 2026-27
Class 11 unitMarksClass 12 unitMarks
Diversity of Living Organisms15Reproduction16
Structural Organisation in Plants and Animals10Genetics and Evolution20
Cell: Structure and Function15Biology and Human Welfare12
Plant Physiology12Biotechnology and its Applications12
Human Physiology18Ecology and Environment10

Human Physiology in Class 11 and Genetics and Evolution in Class 12 are the two units where most students first ask for help: one for sheer detail, the other for the reasoning that inheritance problems need. A tutor who spends extra time there is spending it well.

The early warning signs are easy to spot at home: a first unit test in Class 11 that comes back well below Class 10 science marks, notes copied neatly but never revised, diagrams avoided in answers, or a student who says biology is "just memorising" and then cannot explain a process in their own words. Any of these in the first term is the right moment to bring in a tutor, not the month before the half-yearly exam.

Biology on each board taught in Greater Noida

CBSE

Each year has a three-hour, 70-mark theory paper and 30 practical marks. Questions range from multiple choice and assertion-reason to long answers and case-based items, and in Class 12 about 30% of marks are for application.

ISC

The Class 12 subject has 70 theory marks, a 15-mark practical, 10 marks of project work and 5 for the practical file. Answers reward named structures and full, labelled diagrams, so written precision is the tutor's main job.

UP Board Intermediate

UPMSP examines biology in its Class 12 Intermediate exam. Much of the content follows the NCERT-based curriculum, but the question pattern is the board's own, and lessons may be in Hindi or English. Check upmsp.edu.in for the current syllabus and tell us the medium.

IGCSE and IB

Cambridge 0610 has Core and Extended routes plus a practical or alternative-to-practical paper; Edexcel 4BI1 is untiered and graded 9 to 1. IB Biology is 80% exam papers and 20% scientific investigation, at SL or HL.

Our national biology home tutor guide compares every board in more depth, including the IGCSE papers side by side.

What a NEET student's week with a home tutor looks like

NEET (UG), conducted by the National Testing Agency, had 180 compulsory questions in three hours in 2026: 45 in physics, 45 in chemistry and 90 in biology across botany and zoology, 720 marks in total, with four marks for each right answer and one lost for each wrong one. The National Medical Commission sets the syllabus, and the 2027 bulletin was not yet out at the time of writing, so check neet.nta.nic.in.

For a Greater Noida student who also attends coaching, a home tutor fits into the week in three pieces:

  • A recall session. Rapid questions on NCERT lines, diagrams and tables from the chapters done that week, so gaps show up while they are small.
  • A mock review. The latest test paper sorted by chapter and by type of mistake: did not know, misread, or guessed wrongly.
  • A board session near exams. Written answers and diagrams in the school's style, because objective practice does not train long answers.

More on this on our NEET home tutor page and in NEET biology, NCERT first.

How a good tutor makes biology stick

The common complaint about senior biology is "I learnt it and forgot it". Good tutors plan against forgetting from the first lesson. The methods are simple, and you should see most of them in the first few weeks:

  • Explain it back. After teaching a process, the tutor has the student explain it aloud without notes. Gaps show at once, and the act of explaining fixes the idea.
  • Draw, then check. Diagrams are drawn from memory and compared with the textbook, not copied. Labels come before shading.
  • Flowcharts for processes. Cycles, pathways and hormone loops go onto one page each, in the student's own hand.
  • Old chapters come back. A few questions from earlier chapters appear in every session, so Class 11 topics are still fresh in Class 12.
  • Links across units. Cell membranes turn up again in nerve impulses, and variation in evolution. A tutor who points out the connections saves the student from learning the same idea twice.

A tutor who only reads the textbook aloud, or dictates notes, is not using the hour well, however much ground they cover.

Practicals, the file and the project

School-assessed marks are the part of biology families most often forget, and the easiest to protect. CBSE gives 30 marks a year to practical work, and ISC splits 30 marks across the practical exam, the project and the file. The work is spread across the year: experiments, slides, spotting, a written record and an investigatory project with a viva. Students lose these marks by letting the record fall behind or starting the project late. A tutor who checks the file every few weeks, and helps the student plan the project early, protects marks that no amount of theory revision can replace. The project itself must remain the student's own work.

Finding a biology tutor across Greater Noida's zones

All six zones are mapped on our Greater Noida page. For a subject that needs two or three sessions a week, these are the practical points:

  • Greater Noida West: Sector 10 and its neighbours are high-rise group housing with no working metro. A tutor living in your own or the next society is the steadiest choice.
  • Alpha to Delta and Pari Chowk: Alpha 2 is plotted, with no society gate; tutors on the Aqua Line use ALPHA 1 or DELTA 1 and finish by e-rickshaw.
  • Pi, Sigma and Sectors 36 to 37: Sigma 3 has newer premium towers; register the tutor with security before the first class.
  • Omega, Chi and Phi: Omega 1 is largely gated communities; trips here usually pass through Pari Chowk, so a slightly earlier evening slot helps.
  • Zeta and Eta: Eta 1 is mostly houses on authority plots; GNIDA Office is the usual station, with an auto for the last leg.
  • Omicron, Mu and Xu: Omicron 3 mixes societies with plotted houses; a tutor with a two-wheeler from a neighbouring sector is usually the most dependable.

Our local guides to Greater Noida West and the Greater Noida sectors have more on travel and timing.

Home or online biology lessons?

Distance makes online biology a serious option here, especially for NEET students whose evenings are already split between school and coaching. Recall tests, NCERT diagrams and mock reviews all work well on a shared screen, and an IB or IGCSE specialist who could never reach the Eta or Xu sectors twice a week can teach from anywhere.

Home lessons still earn their place for written answers, diagram practice and the practical file, which a tutor needs to see on the desk. For most senior students in Greater Noida, the practical answer is a hybrid: one home lesson a week and one or two online, all with the same tutor.

What to look for in the demo class

  • The tutor asks what your child has covered in school and coaching before starting.
  • Your child draws and labels at least one diagram from memory during the lesson.
  • By the end, your child can explain the topic back in their own words.
  • A NEET student is asked for the last mock paper, not only the score.
  • You leave with a plan: which chapters come next and how recall will be tested.

If the demo falls short, tell us and we arrange the next tutor on the shortlist. Switching tutor later is free.

Biology tuition fees and how to start

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fees, and you see each fee before the demo. The Greater Noida fees guide explains what moves it.

Send us the class, board and goal, your sector with tower or plot, and the evenings that are free. Tutors who join go through an ID check. Biology Home Tutor in Greater Noida: common questions

How does NXTutors shortlist a biology home tutor in Greater Noida?

NXTutors shortlists a biology home tutor in Greater Noida from your child's class, board and goal, your sector with tower or plot, and the free evenings. You get two or three matched biology tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first lesson is a free demo on the current chapter, and switching tutor later is free.

What does a biology tutor cost in Greater Noida?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Biology tutors in Greater Noida set their own fees, and each fee appears on your shortlist before the free demo. NEET preparation, the class, sessions a week and travel to your sector move the figure.

Should biology tuition be at home or online in Greater Noida's outer sectors?

In Greater Noida's outer sectors, a mix of home and online biology tuition usually works, often one home lesson and one or two online with the same tutor. Online suits recall tests, NCERT diagrams on a shared screen and mock reviews, and lets an IB or IGCSE specialist teach without the long trip. Home lessons still help with written answers and the practical file.

Can a biology tutor come to a Greater Noida West society?

Yes, a biology tutor can come to a Greater Noida West society, travelling by bike, car or shared auto, since the belt has no working metro station yet. In a large society, a tutor who already teaches in a nearby tower is often the steadiest choice. Approve the tutor on your visitor app and avoid the Gaur Chowk evening rush.

Which CBSE biology units do Greater Noida students need most help with?

Greater Noida students most often need biology help with Human Physiology in Class 11 and Genetics and Evolution in Class 12, the two heaviest CBSE units. Human Physiology carries 18 of 70 theory marks and is heavy on detail; Genetics and Evolution carries 20 and needs reasoning for inheritance problems. A tutor should also keep the 30 practical marks on track.

Can a Greater Noida tutor teach UP Board Intermediate biology?

Yes, you can request a Greater Noida tutor for UP Board Intermediate biology, which UPMSP examines in its Class 12 exam. Much of the content follows the NCERT-based curriculum, but the question pattern is the board's own, and lessons may be in Hindi or English. Share the medium with your request and check upmsp.edu.in for the current syllabus.

How does a home biology tutor help a NEET student in Greater Noida who attends coaching?

A home biology tutor helps a Greater Noida NEET student in coaching with what coaching has no time for: recall tests, mock reviews and board-style answers. Recall covers NCERT lines, diagrams and tables; each mock is sorted by chapter and mistake type. Biology was 90 of the 180 questions in NEET (UG) 2026, so this work pays off.

When should a Class 11 student in Greater Noida start biology tuition?

A Class 11 student in Greater Noida should start biology tuition in the first term if early warning signs appear, not the month before the half-yearly exam. Watch for a first unit test well below Class 10 science marks, notes copied but never revised, diagrams avoided, or a child who cannot explain a process in their own words.

How can a Greater Noida tutor protect the biology practical and project marks?

A Greater Noida biology tutor protects practical and project marks by checking the record file every few weeks and helping plan the investigatory project early. CBSE gives 30 marks a year to practical work, and ISC splits 30 across the practical exam, project and file. Students usually lose these marks by letting the record slip; the project stays the student's own work.

How can I tell in the free demo if a biology tutor in Greater Noida is right?

A biology tutor in Greater Noida suits your child if, in the free demo, your child draws a diagram from memory and explains the topic back. The tutor should first ask what school and coaching have covered, ask a NEET student for the last mock paper, and leave you with a plan for the next chapters.
