Who lives in Sector 10 and what the homes are like

Sector 10 is one of the later sectors of Greater Noida West to fill in. The Greater Noida authority still runs schemes for commercial plots here, and listing sites show a mix of societies that are ready, partly occupied or still adding towers. For a parent, that means the sector feels quieter than the older tower belts near Gaur Chowk, with longer stretches between gates.

The societies

Property portals list a dozen or more group-housing projects in the sector. Mahagun Mantra is the one most people use as a reference point: its first phase has apartment towers, and its second phase adds what the developer calls villaments, villa-style apartments with rooms on two levels. ATS Happy Trails is listed with 12 towers on roughly nine acres. ABA Coco County, Amaatra Homes, Sikka Kirat Greens, Sikka Kanak Greens, Arihant Abode, Omson Nature Valley and Legacy Homes appear in the same listings. Flat sizes lean towards three bedrooms, with two-bedroom and four-bedroom homes also common.

The low-rise side

Not every home is in a tower. Square Yards lists villa and plot projects inside the sector, among them Sindhuja Greens, NCR Orchid Villa and Thv Vihaan Villa. In these lanes a tutor rings the doorbell instead of waiting at a guard post, and parking is usually outside the house, so the visit works more like a plotted colony than a society.

What this means for tuition

Larger flats often have a spare room or a study corner, which makes a regular class easier to host. Because the sector is newer, many families moved in recently and are still settling school, transport and activity routines. If you are new here, a tutor who already teaches in Sector 12, Sector 16C or the Mahagun and ATS societies will know the internal roads, which takes one worry off the first week.

Which tutor fits your child?

What Sector 10 families think about before booking a tutor

Public discussion of Noida Extension on property forums, petitions and listing reviews keeps returning to a few themes. We have turned each one into a practical point for tuition in Sector 10.

  • A sector still being built. Projects here have been handed over in stages across several years, and some towers are still going up. Construction traffic and unfinished service lanes can confuse a first-time visitor, so send a live location and name the gate rather than only the society.
  • Private vehicles over public transport. Residents across Greater Noida West have asked for a metro line for years, and many households drive for every errand. Ask each tutor how they travel and from where; a tutor on a two-wheeler from a neighbouring sector is usually the steadiest choice.
  • Distance between gates. Societies here are spread out compared with the dense township belt. A tutor may not be able to stack several students in one complex, so book a fixed weekly slot early in the term.
  • Monsoon roads. Local news has reported water standing on some Greater Noida West roads and gates after heavy rain. Agree in advance that a rainy evening becomes an online class instead of a missed one.
  • Room to study. With bigger flats common, parents often care less about space and more about a tutor who can keep a consistent routine through school tests and holidays.

How a tutor reaches Sector 10

Most tutors come to Sector 10 by road. There is no metro station inside Greater Noida West; the closest working one is Noida Sector 51, the first stop of the Aqua Line, linked by skywalk to Sector 52 on the Blue Line. In July 2026 the Public Investment Board cleared an Aqua Line extension towards Greater Noida West Sector 4 near Kisan Chowk, and it still needs the Union Cabinet's approval. An older plan sent to the Centre in 2022 had a second phase running on to Knowledge Park V, which is why some Sector 10 listings mention a proposed station nearby. Neither is open, so do not plan classes around them.

The roads that matter

Listings place Sector 10's societies along or just off the Greater Noida West Link Road, with Bisrakh Road, Kheri Road and Dadri Road named as other approaches. Knowledge Park V sits across the road from Mahagun Mantra and is a handy landmark when you give directions. Tutors coming from Noida usually take the road from Noida Sector 121 across the Hindon and then head along the link road.

Short rides and long rides

The easiest rides come from Sector 12 next door, Sector 16C and the village pockets of Vaidpura, Sadullapur and Saini. Tutors living around Gaur Chowk or Ek Murti Chowk can reach you too, but they cross the busier junctions on the way, so their timing depends more on the evening rush. If your preferred tutor lives in Noida or the Greek-letter sectors, consider two home visits plus one online class a week.

Inside the sector, the distance between one society gate and the next is longer than in the township belt, so ask the tutor to save your gate as a pin on their phone after the first visit.

Gates, parking and safety in Sector 10 societies

  • Visitor approval. Tower societies here use a visitor app or a register at the main gate. Add the tutor's name and phone number before the demo, and register them as a regular visitor once you decide to continue.
  • Which gate. Large projects such as Mahagun Mantra and ATS Happy Trails have more than one entry. Tell the tutor the gate number and the tower letter or number.
  • Villa and plot lanes. In the low-rise projects there may be no guard desk at your door. Share the house number and a landmark, and be home when the tutor arrives.
  • Two-wheeler parking. Ask security where a visitor's bike may stand, because new societies often change parking rules as more residents move in.
  • The room. Use a study or a dining table with the door open. Bigger flats make this easy; avoid a bedroom with the door shut for younger children.
  • An adult at home. Keep a parent or grandparent in the flat for at least the first few classes.

If you want a woman tutor, say so when you ask, or start from our page for a woman home tutor in Greater Noida. Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check, explained on how we check tutors. It is not a police or background check, so meet the tutor at the demo and keep in touch with your child about how the classes go.

Boards Sector 10 families ask about

Most requests from Sector 10 are for CBSE, followed by ICSE and ISC. A smaller number ask for UP Board help, and some families who moved from abroad or from other metros ask about Cambridge IGCSE or IB.

What changes for a home tutor in this sector is mostly practical. Families in larger flats often want one tutor to cover two children on different boards or in different classes, back to back. If that is your plan, tell us both boards up front so the match covers both syllabuses. For CBSE, the board publishes its curriculum each year on cbseacademic.nic.in, and a tutor should follow that year's version; ICSE and ISC syllabuses are on cisce.org.

For a full side-by-side of the boards, read our guide CBSE vs ICSE vs IB vs IGCSE: which board.

What tuition looks like in Sector 10, class by class

Nursery to Class 5

Young children do well with short, frequent sessions at the same table each day. In a three-bedroom flat, a corner of the study or the dining area with a small whiteboard is enough. Look for a tutor who works on reading aloud, handwriting and number sense, and who sends a two-line note after each class. Our primary home tutors in Greater Noida page explains what to ask at this stage.

Classes 6 to 8

This is the stage where one general tutor starts to feel stretched. Many Sector 10 families keep a single tutor for maths and science through Class 7, then split the subjects in Class 8 as algebra and physics topics grow. Ask the tutor to follow your school's chapter order and to set a short weekly test. A specialist for maths tuition at home in Greater Noida is a common first choice.

Classes 9 and 10

The run-up to the board exam begins in Class 9, a year earlier than many families expect. A steady routine of two or three longer sessions a week, with past papers from the second term, works better than a rush in the winter. Because Sector 10 is spread out and some tutors come from further away, fix the slot at the start of the session so it does not keep moving. The Class 9 home tutor page covers the foundation year.

Classes 11 and 12

Senior students usually need a tutor per subject. Physics in particular is hard to find within a short ride, so many families here start with an online specialist and add a home tutor for a second subject. See our physics home tutors page. If your child also attends entrance coaching, use home sessions for board answer writing and practical files rather than repeating coaching material.

Planning exam months from Sector 10

Board timetables come from the boards themselves: cbse.gov.in for CBSE, cisce.org for ICSE and ISC, and upmsp.edu.in for UP Board. Wait for each notice before you plan. In practice, add sessions from early winter, and book them with the tutor before the rush of requests from other families. Because a tutor may be travelling some distance to reach Sector 10, keep two online slots in reserve for revision weeks, so a slow evening on the link road does not cost your child a class.

Home tutor, online tutor or a coaching centre?

Home tutor. Suits Sector 10 well for school years. Your child stays at home in a sector where most trips need a vehicle, and a parent can sit in on the first classes. The catch is that fewer tutors live within a very short ride than in the denser sectors, so plan the slot early.

Online tutor. Opens the choice to specialists anywhere in India, which matters for senior physics, chemistry or an international board. It needs a quiet room, a laptop and a child who can focus on a screen. See our online tuition for Greater Noida page.

Coaching centre. Gives a fixed batch and peers, but from Sector 10 it almost always means a drive and a pick-up. A workable split is the centre for JEE or NEET practice and a tutor at home for the school syllabus.

Tuition fees for Sector 10 families

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.

Tutors set their own fees, and each one is on your shortlist before the demo. In Sector 10, a few things move the quote. The class and board come first. The subject matters: a senior physics or chemistry specialist usually costs more than help with Class 4 homework. The tutor's travel matters too, because a tutor coming across Gaur Chowk or from Noida spends more time on the road than one from Sector 12. Finally, longer or more frequent sessions change the monthly total.

Two questions to ask before you agree: how a class you cancel is handled, and whether a class can move online on a rainy day instead of being lost.

Quiet study spots near Sector 10

We could not find a public library or community study room in Sector 10 from a reliable source. Society clubhouses here may have reading or activity rooms, but rules differ by society, so ask your maintenance office before planning a class there. For most families the study at home stays the most reliable place.

About this Area

Sector 10 is listed in the Greater Noida West zone of Greater Noida, one of twelve NXTutors pages there, alongside Gaur City 1, Sector 1 and Sector 2. From here you can request a home or online tutor for any class, from early reading to Class 12 board preparation.

Boards differ, so say which one your child follows. The Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, known as UP Board, is responsible for High School and Intermediate examinations, and you can browse tutors for that syllabus on our UP board page. CBSE and ICSE students are matched in the same way. Then add the school books in use, the chapters done so far and the times of day that suit your home.

Here, tutors who live in Sector 10 or travel to it come first. If nobody is listed for Sector 10 yet, the page turns to tutors attached to other Greater Noida West pages, then the wider city, then home tutors from Gurugram, followed by those teaching online. Every card carries a brief reason for being shown. Your first lesson with whoever you choose is a free demo, and their fee is visible beforehand.

FAQs

To get a home tutor in Sector 10, Greater Noida West, send NXTutors your society, tower, class, board and subject. We share two or three matched tutors who travel to the sector or teach online. Each fee is shown before the first class, the first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
No, Sector 10 in Greater Noida West is part of Greater Noida, in the area called Noida Extension, while Sector 10 of Noida is a separate place. When you ask for a tutor, write Greater Noida West or Noida Extension with the society name so the tutor heads to the right side of the Hindon.
Each tutor sets their own fee for home tuition in Sector 10, Noida Extension, and it is shown on their profile before the free demo. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Class, subject, session length and the tutor's travel shape each quote.
Yes, you can ask for a woman tutor in Sector 10, Greater Noida West, and we match with that preference in mind. Mention any timing limits too, for example finishing before late evening. Tutors who join go through an ID check, which is not a police check, so meet the tutor at the demo.
There is no working metro station in or near Sector 10, Greater Noida West; the closest is Noida Sector 51 on the Aqua Line. An extension towards Sector 4 was cleared by the Public Investment Board in July 2026 but is not built, so tutors arrive by two-wheeler, car or shared auto.
Most Sector 10 societies sit along or just off the Greater Noida West Link Road, with Bisrakh Road, Kheri Road and Dadri Road as other approaches named in listings. Knowledge Park V, across the road from Mahagun Mantra, is a useful landmark when you send a tutor directions.
Yes, tutors visit the low-rise villa and plot projects in Sector 10 as well as the tower societies. In these lanes there is usually no guard desk, so share the house number, a nearby landmark and a live location, and make sure someone is at home when the tutor rings.
Tutors who usually reach Sector 10, Noida Extension come from Sector 12, Sector 16C and the nearby villages of Vaidpura, Sadullapur and Saini, plus online tutors. We never claim a tutor lives in your society; we look for those who already travel this way, which keeps weekday slots more reliable.
Yes, a maths tutor for Class 8 in Sector 10, Greater Noida West is one of the more common requests we can match. Ask the tutor to follow your school's chapter order and set a short weekly test. If science also needs help, one tutor can often cover both subjects until Class 9.
For a Class 11 student in Sector 10, the choice depends on the goal: coaching suits entrance preparation, while a home or online tutor suits board subjects and weak chapters. Reaching a centre from here usually needs a drive, so many families pair coaching with one home subject and one online specialist.
Tutors who travel to Sector 10 can be matched for CBSE, ICSE, ISC and UP Board, and online tutors cover IGCSE and IB. If two children study on different boards, tell us both when you ask, so the shortlist includes a tutor comfortable with each syllabus.
Yes, one tutor can often teach two siblings back to back in a Sector 10 flat, which also saves the tutor a second trip. It suits families whose children's subjects overlap. If the children are far apart in class, two tutors or one home and one online tutor may suit better.
Yes, a Sector 10 class can move online on a rainy evening if you agree this with the tutor before the monsoon. Local news has reported water on some Greater Noida West roads after heavy rain, so keeping a laptop ready avoids losing the session altogether.
Possibly, and it is worth asking. Sector 1, Sector 2 and Sector 10 are all pages in Greater Noida West, so a tutor with students in one might travel on to the others. Check which weekday evenings they can come and whether they keep teaching through the board exam months, then book a free demo to see how the lessons feel.
Give us the class and board, plus the chapters your child is stuck on, such as journal entries or final accounts. Say whether school tests or the board exam is the main worry, and share a recent answer sheet if you can. With that, the tutor can use the free demo to work on one real problem.
Approve the tutor on the visitor app or gate register in advance and share your block and flat number. A one-time approval saves time at every later visit, starting with the free demo.
A clear pin location takes the tutor to the right gate on a first visit, which matters if the approach to your home is new or easy to confuse. Send it with your block number before the free demo.
Yes. You can keep a home tutor for a younger child and use online classes for advanced maths, sciences or languages. NXTutors offers both, with online tutoring across the country, and shares two or three matched tutors per request, each with the fee visible ahead of the free demo.
