Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Sector 4 is the busy commercial core of the old Noida Extension: the Gaur City 1 avenues, Gaur City Mall and the crossing at Kisan Chowk. That makes tutors easy to direct but timing harder to get right. This guide covers both, then boards, classes, exams and fees.
| Point | Sector 4, Greater Noida West |
|---|---|
| Area | Greater Noida West zone of Greater Noida; not Noida's Sector 4 |
| Main housing | High-rise flats, mostly in the Gaur City 1 avenues (1st to 7th Avenue); a few builder floors and houses |
| Commercial landmarks | Gaur City Mall, Gaur City Center, Galaxy Blue Sapphire Plaza on Greater Noida West Road |
| Key junction | Kisan Chowk, also called Gaur Chowk or Char Murti Chowk, where the 130 m road meets the 60 m road |
| Metro today | None; nearest working station Noida Sector 51 (Aqua Line) |
| Metro planned | An Aqua Line extension proposed to end in Sector 4 near Kisan Chowk; not open |
| Road plans | An elevated road from Sector 4 towards NH-24 via Shahberi approved by the authority; not built |
| Next-door areas | Sector 16C and Gaur City 2, Sector 16B, Techzone 4, Shahberi, Haibatpur |
Most households in Sector 4 live in high-rise flats. The biggest block of housing is Gaur City 1, the first of the Gaursons townships, whose avenues are listed from the 1st to the 7th. Square Yards shows apartments as most of the homes on sale, with a smaller number of builder floors and houses, and sizes running from studios to four bedrooms; two-bedroom flats are the most common rental size.
What sets the sector apart is what sits between the towers. Gaur City Mall, on the 130 m road, is a seven-floor building that opened in 2019 with shops, a food court and a multiplex. Gaur City Center nearby offers shops, offices and studio apartments, and Galaxy Blue Sapphire Plaza stands on Greater Noida West Road. Local markets line the main roads, and Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital is close by in Sector 1.
So Sector 4 houses a wide range of people: families in the avenues, young couples and single professionals in smaller units, and tenants who chose the sector because so much is walkable. Reviewers on Square Yards rate its lifestyle and livability highly, pointing to malls, gyms, clinics and supermarkets within reach.
For tuition, that range means requests vary a lot: a nursery child in a two-bedroom flat, a Class 12 student preparing for an entrance exam, a working parent who wants a late slot. A tutor who already teaches in the avenues knows the gates and lifts, which is a real advantage here.
Square Yards reviews and news coverage of Sector 4 return to a clear set of themes.
Reviewers like having shops, clinics, gyms and food nearby, but connectivity scores weakest of all, with bus routes and metro access towards Delhi named as gaps. In practice, tutors who rely on public transport find Sector 4 harder to reach than its central position suggests, so most arrive by two-wheeler or car.
News reports call Char Murti Chowk the busiest crossroad in Noida Extension, used by traffic between Gaur City, Pratap Vihar and Surajpur, and an underpass has been under construction there. A tutor whose route crosses the chowk at peak hour can lose time unpredictably. Ask each tutor whether their route crosses it, and pick slots that avoid it where you can.
Two projects are often discussed by residents: the Aqua Line extension proposed to end near Kisan Chowk, placed before the Public Investment Board in July 2026, and an elevated road from Sector 4 towards NH-24 via Shahberi. In September 2026 the authority approved the first phase of a double-decker redesign, because the road through Shahberi is only about 14 metres wide. Neither is open, so plan around today's roads.
Because the mall and plazas draw visitors, the roads around them are busier at weekends and in the evening. A Saturday morning slot is often calmer than a Saturday evening one.
Internal roads in Sector 4 feed onto the 130 m road and Greater Noida West Road, which meet the 60 m road at Kisan Chowk. The 60 m road links Surajpur with Ghaziabad and runs towards the Delhi–Meerut Expressway, so tutors can arrive from several directions: from Noida over the Hindon via Sector 121, from Greater Noida proper up the 130 m road, or from the Ghaziabad side through Shahberi.
No metro reaches Sector 4 yet. The nearest working station is Noida Sector 51, where the Aqua Line begins; it links by skywalk to Sector 52 on the Blue Line. A tutor using it finishes the trip by shared auto, cab or e-rickshaw. Once the planned extension opens, Sector 4 is proposed to be its last stop, but that is a future plan.
Everyone knows Gaur City Mall and Kisan Chowk, which makes first visits simple. Give the avenue number, tower and flat, and say which avenue gate faces your tower; the avenues each have their own entrances. If you live in a smaller society or a builder floor, use the mall or a named plaza as the reference point.
Tutors already teaching in Gaur City 1, Gaur City 2 and Sector 16C, or in Techzone 4 and Sector 16B, often reach Sector 4 without crossing the chowk at all. That matters for a weekday routine. Tutors from Noida or the Greek-letter sectors suit weekend slots or online sessions better.
Almost every family in Sector 4 lives in a gated society or avenue. A little preparation saves the first ten minutes of the demo.
Families wanting a woman tutor can request one, and early-evening slots keep travel within busy hours. Tutors who join NXTutors go through an ID check of government photo ID; read about our tutor ID check. It does not include police records, so use the free demo to get to know the tutor first.
Sector 4's mix of families means a broad board mix: mostly CBSE, then ICSE and ISC, with UP Board and some IB and Cambridge requests. With so many homes in tall towers, the board matters less for logistics and more for matching. International-board families may find a specialist IGCSE tutor for Greater Noida teaches online while a home tutor covers other subjects. CBSE publishes curricula on cbseacademic.nic.in and CISCE on cisce.org.
Tower living does change one thing: a senior student who studies late may prefer a session after dinner on weekdays, or a long weekend block, for ISC or CBSE Class 12 subjects. Say which works when you request. Read our board comparison guide for how they differ.
Young children in the avenues often have a busy evening of play areas and activities. A short tuition slot just after school, before the play hour, keeps attention fresh. Ask the tutor to share one or two things to practise each week.
A combined maths and science tutor is common, with English added for children whose written answers need work. With the mall and plazas so close, screen and outing time can crowd homework; a fixed tuition evening gives the week a spine.
The Class 10 year brings sample papers, timed tests and longer sessions. Our Class 10 tuition in Greater Noida page covers what tutors focus on. Choose a tutor whose route avoids Kisan Chowk at peak hour, because a weekly routine depends on punctuality.
Many senior students here prepare for entrance exams. A home tutor can work alongside a coaching batch for JEE, covering board-level Physics, Chemistry and Maths; see our JEE tutors in Greater Noida. For medical aspirants, our NEET home tuition page covers Biology and Chemistry support. Weekend blocks at home work better than squeezing sessions between coaching trips.
Board dates come only from the boards: cbse.gov.in, cisce.org and upmsp.edu.in. For JEE and NEET, the National Testing Agency posts notices on nta.ac.in. Plan more sessions from the start of winter and agree them early. During exam weeks, a tutor who crosses Kisan Chowk can switch to online to save the travel, so arrange that option before the season starts.
Home tuition keeps your child out of the evening traffic around the chowk and the mall. With so many tutors teaching in the neighbouring avenues and sectors, a regular visit is practical. The costs are gate routines and a small study space in some flats.
Online tuition works for international boards, senior specialists and exam weeks, and it needs a quiet room and a steady connection.
A centre gives a timetable and peers. Sector 4's central position makes some centres reachable, but the child still travels at peak time. Many families pair a centre for JEE or NEET with a home tutor for board work.
A sensible test in Sector 4 is the travel: if a weekly trip means crossing Kisan Chowk at rush hour, home or online usually wins. If the centre is on your side of the chowk, it becomes a closer call, decided by your child's need for attention.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more.
Tutors set their own fee. In Sector 4, the class and board, subject, session length and number of sessions decide most of it. Senior entrance-linked subjects sit higher in the range. Travel also counts: a tutor coming through Kisan Chowk at rush hour may quote more or ask for longer sessions than one already teaching in the next avenue.
Two siblings in the same flat can sometimes take back-to-back sessions with one tutor, which makes the trip more worthwhile. Ask what the fee covers, including tests, notes and how missed sessions are made up. Every matched tutor's fee is shown on their profile before the free demo.
We found no sourced public library or reading room in Sector 4; its common spaces are commercial. Some avenues list clubhouses, and whether a room can be used for tuition is up to each society. For most children, a cleared table at home stays the quietest option.

AI-first tutoring, with real teachers
You tell us the class, board, subject and where in Sector 4 you live. Our AI does the slow part of the search and returns two or three tutors who fit, not a long list to scroll. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching tutor later is free.

Before the free demo, a little homework from parents goes a long way. For a student in Sector 4, that means noting the board, the class, the subjects that need support and the times your family can manage. Send those to NXTutors and we will suggest two or three tutors who fit.
Sector 4 sits within the Greater Noida West zone; on our site that zone has twelve pages, among them Gaur City 2, Sector 2, Sector 12 and Sector 16C. Tutors who live in Sector 4 or travel there lead the list. They are followed by teachers from the wider zone, then tutors from other parts of the city, then visiting tutors based in Faridabad or Delhi, and, at the end, tutors who teach online.
In the senior classes your child may need more than one kind of help. A Class 12 student may want a home tutor for Accountancy or Biology and an online tutor for JEE practice. CBSE holds its Class 10 and Class 12 board exams, while UP Board runs its own High School and Intermediate papers, so mention which applies. A recent test paper also shows the tutor exactly where to begin with your child.
