Physics home tutor in Greater Noida: Class 11, Class 12, JEE and NEET

In Class 11 and 12, a physics home tutor in Greater Noida is worth paying for when they do three things a batch cannot. They find the exact step where your child's reasoning breaks. They know which paper that reasoning has to survive: the CBSE board, ISC, JEE or NEET. And they can reach your sector late in the day, often after school and coaching, whether you live in a Greater Noida West tower or a house off the Surajpur–Kasna road. NXTutors shortlists two or three physics tutors on those terms, shows each fee before you meet them, and the first class is a free demo.

Where do the marks sit in CBSE Class 12 physics?

Physics (042) is 70 marks of theory and 30 of practical work. The theory covers nine units in 14 NCERT chapters, which CBSE's 2026-27 curriculum groups into mark blocks. Knowing the blocks is the first step in deciding where a tutor's hours should go.

CBSE Class 12 Physics, 2026-27: where the 100 marks sit and what a tutor should drill
BlockMarksWhat costs marksWhat to drill with a tutor
Electricity and magnetism (two blocks, seven chapters)33Field and potential confused; sign errors in circuits; AC phase ideas half-understoodGauss's law set-ups, Kirchhoff's rules written in full, one consistent sign convention
Optics with electromagnetic waves18Ray diagrams without arrows or labels; lens and mirror signs mixedDiagrams first, then the formula; microscope and telescope magnification
Modern physics (dual nature, atoms, nuclei)12Unit slips in energy calculationsShort numericals done without a calculator, with units at every line
Semiconductor electronics7Studying topics no longer setOnly the current syllabus; transistors and logic gates are not in it
Practical examination30An incomplete record; a weak vivaAim, diagram, precautions and error sources for each experiment

Electricity and magnetism together are nearly half the theory paper, and optics is the largest single block. A student who is weak in either is carrying a large risk into the board exam. Our CBSE Class 12 physics strategies go chapter by chapter, including the derivations that matter.

How is the 2026-27 board paper set?

The paper runs three hours, with 33 compulsory questions in five sections and internal choice in some. Calculators are not allowed; the values of constants are given. CBSE's sample paper states there is no change in design for this session:

  • Section A: 16 one-mark questions, 12 multiple-choice and 4 assertion–reason.
  • Section B: five 2-mark very short answers, often a definition with one consequence or a short numerical.
  • Section C: seven 3-mark answers, such as a short derivation or a binding-energy calculation.
  • Section D: two 4-mark case studies built on a passage.
  • Section E: three 5-mark long answers that mix derivation, diagram and numerical.

Only about 38% of the marks reward recall. The rest ask students to apply physics, or to analyse and evaluate situations they have not seen before. That is why a tutor who only dictates notes is poor value in Class 12. Class 12 has one main board exam; the two-exam system applies to Class 10. The 2027 date sheet has not been published, so take dates from cbse.gov.in. For board-year planning by class, see the Class 12 physics tutor page.

How can a home tutor help with the 30 practical marks?

The practical marks are split as two experiments (7 each), the practical record (5), one activity (3), an investigatory project (3) and a viva on all of it (5). A home tutor cannot set up a metre bridge or an optical bench at the dining table, and should not try. What they can do is go through each experiment's aim, circuit or ray diagram, observation table, precautions and sources of error. They can also rehearse the viva questions that follow from them. Two or three such sessions before the school practicals, which have typically been held in January, turn a nervous viva into straightforward marks.

How much of JEE and NEET is physics, and what should tuition target?

The physics is largely shared with the board syllabus; the tests reward different habits. These are the 2026 patterns from the official bulletins. Check the current bulletin before planning around any detail.

  • JEE Main Paper 1: 25 physics questions (20 multiple-choice, 5 numerical-value) within a 75-question, 300-mark, three-hour computer-based test, scored +4 and −1. The tutor's job is speed on multi-step problems and a clear analysis of every coaching test.
  • JEE Advanced: for 2026, a candidate had to be among the first 2,50,000 in JEE Main to register. Tuition here means deeper, multi-concept problems and past Advanced papers.
  • NEET (UG): a pen-and-paper, 180-minute exam; physics was 45 of the 180 questions, worth 180 of the 720 marks, scored +4 and −1. Accuracy on NCERT-level concepts matters more than exotic problems, and cutting uncertain guesses protects the score.

Entrance syllabi are set by the conducting body, not CBSE, and can include topics the board syllabus leaves out. Our JEE physics topic-wise guide and the high-yield NEET physics guide help set priorities.

Why start with a physics tutor in Class 11 rather than Class 12?

Class 11 physics moves quickly from units and measurement into kinematics, laws of motion, work and energy, rotation and gravitation. All of them lean on vectors, graphs and early calculus, sometimes before maths class has taught them. The Class 12 blocks then reuse the same tools: electrostatics is force, field and energy again. Help in the first term of Class 11 is therefore the help that goes furthest. A few weeks on resolving vectors, reading graphs and treating a derivative as a rate of change make every later chapter easier. The physics home tutor page covers physics tuition across India.

Can a physics tutor reach your sector late in the evening?

Senior physics sessions often start after coaching, so the question is less about the sector number and more about the route at that hour. Greater Noida's two halves behave differently. Compare tutors sector by sector on our Greater Noida page.

Greater Noida West: no station, busy chowks

There is no working metro station inside Greater Noida West; Noida Sector 51 is the nearest. An Aqua Line extension to Sector 4 is planned, not open. In Sector 12, the 130 m link road gives good road access, but society security is strict and the chowks along the road are busy in the evening rush. A tutor who already teaches in the same cluster of towers is the reliable choice for a 7 pm start.

The Aqua Line sectors

Delta 1 station stands in Block A of Delta 1, between the Alpha 1 and GNIDA Office stations, so a tutor riding the metro can walk or take an e-rickshaw to your door. Residents of Beta 2 say local transport is easy to find, which helps with later sessions. Many tenants there are college students, so if a tutor comes by word of mouth, use the demo to check their board-exam experience.

The Chi–Phi belt and the edge of the city

Chi 5 borders Noida's Sector 150, with high-rise societies and limited public transport inside the sector. Most tutors come by two-wheeler, and late slots can slip when Pari Chowk is congested. Further east, Omicron 1 is the most apartment-heavy Omicron sector, with GNIDA Office the nearest station. There, an online session on the latest nights keeps the plan going.

What if your child studies ISC, IB or IGCSE physics?

ISC physics is set by CISCE, with a theory paper plus practical and project work and longer written numericals, so ask whether the tutor has taught the current ISC syllabus. IB Diploma Physics comes at SL or HL, with data-based questions, uncertainties and an internal investigation that a tutor may guide but must never write. Cambridge IGCSE Physics has Core and Extended tiers, and students moving from IGCSE into CBSE Class 11 usually need a few weeks on vectors, graphs and derivations. Specialists for these courses are fewer, so tell us the exact course early. An online tutor is often the practical route in sectors away from the metro.

What does a physics home tutor cost in Greater Noida?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee. Four things move a physics fee within that range: the target (board, JEE Main, JEE Advanced or NEET), the tutor's experience at that level, the travel involved in a late slot, and how many sessions you book each week. Online sessions with the same tutor can cost less. Every shortlisted fee is shown before the demo.

What should you ask a physics tutor before booking?

  • "Can you solve this with us?" Hand over a problem from this week's school or coaching sheet and listen to how the tutor reasons aloud.
  • "When do you draw the diagram?" The answer should be before any equation, whether it is a free-body diagram, a ray diagram or a circuit.
  • "What changed in the 2026-27 syllabus?" A current tutor knows what is out, such as transistors and logic gates, and which topics are qualitative only.
  • "How will you split board and entrance work?" Look for a month-by-month answer, with board-style writing before school exams.
  • "How will you get here at 7 pm?" Metro plus e-rickshaw, own two-wheeler or car: the answer tells you whether the slot will hold.

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, and every shortlisted fee is shown before the free demo.

How do I get matched with a physics home tutor in Greater Noida?

To get matched with a physics home tutor in Greater Noida, send the class, board, any JEE or NEET goal, your sector and your free slots. We shortlist two or three matched tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free.

Which CBSE Class 12 physics chapters carry the most marks for Greater Noida students?

For Greater Noida students in CBSE Class 12 physics, electricity and magnetism carry the most marks, 33 of the 70 theory marks across seven chapters. Optics with electromagnetic waves is the largest single block at 18 marks, modern physics carries 12 and semiconductors 7. The other 30 marks come from the practical examination.

Are transistors and logic gates in CBSE Class 12 physics for Greater Noida students in 2026-27?

No, transistors and logic gates are not in the 2026-27 CBSE Class 12 physics syllabus that Greater Noida students follow, though older guides still include them. A tutor should teach from the current curriculum, which marks some topics as qualitative only or without derivation. JEE and NEET syllabi are set separately, so check those too.

How many NEET questions and marks come from physics for Greater Noida students?

Physics was 45 of the 180 questions in NEET (UG) 2026, worth 180 of the 720 marks, for Greater Noida aspirants as across India. The exam was a 180-minute pen-and-paper test scored +4 and −1. NTA confirms the pattern each year, so check the current bulletin; with negative marking, accuracy on NCERT-level concepts matters.

Can a physics tutor come to Greater Noida West late in the evening?

A physics tutor can often come to Greater Noida West late in the evening if they already teach in your cluster of towers. There is no working metro station inside Greater Noida West yet, and the chowks along the link road are busy at peak hours. Register the tutor on your society app once, and keep an online option for the latest nights.

Should a Greater Noida student start physics tuition in Class 11?

Class 11 is usually the right time for a Greater Noida student to start physics tuition, because kinematics, laws of motion and rotation arrive early. They depend on vectors, graphs and basic calculus, which Class 12 electrostatics reuses. Fixing those tools in the first term costs far less than repairing gaps before the boards.

Can a Greater Noida home tutor prepare my child for the physics practical and viva?

Yes, a Greater Noida home tutor can prepare your child for the CBSE physics practical and viva, through preparation rather than equipment. The tutor goes through each experiment's aim, diagram, observations, precautions and sources of error, and rehearses likely viva questions. The practical examination is worth 30 marks.

Is home or online physics tuition more useful in Greater Noida?

For physics in Greater Noida, home tuition helps most when a student struggles to set up problems, since a tutor beside them sees where the working goes wrong. Online suits numerical drills, revision and coaching evenings when the tutor sees the page live. Many families mix a weekly home session with short online ones.
