What home tuition costs in Faridabad

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.

Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Physics home tutor in Faridabad: diagnose first, then plan for the board or the entrance test

When a Class 11 or 12 student in Faridabad asks for physics help, the real problem is rarely "physics". It is usually one habit: skipping the diagram, losing a sign, or memorising a derivation without understanding it. A physics home tutor should spot that habit in the first session, know whether the target is the CBSE or ISC board, JEE or NEET, and reach your sector after school or coaching. NXTutors shortlists two or three physics tutors against those needs. Fees are shown before you meet anyone, and the first class is a free demo.

Where is your child actually losing physics marks?

Before any tutor is chosen, look at the last two test papers together. Most lost marks fall into one of four patterns, and each points to a different kind of tutor:

  • Numericals that start well and end wrong. Often an algebra or unit problem rather than a physics one. A tutor who insists on writing units on every line fixes much of it.
  • Blank or half-written derivations. The student has memorised steps without the reasoning. The tutor rebuilds each derivation from a diagram and one starting law.
  • Diagrams missing or unlabelled. Ray paths without arrows, circuits without current directions. These cost marks in every board.
  • Unfamiliar questions left out. The student knows the chapter but freezes on a new situation. That needs regular practice on case-based and multi-concept problems.

Bring those papers to the free demo. A capable tutor will read them and tell you which pattern dominates before teaching anything.

What does the 2026-27 CBSE Class 12 physics paper look like?

Physics (042) is split into a 70-mark theory paper and 30 marks of practical assessment. The three-hour theory paper has 33 questions, all compulsory, with internal choice in some, and calculators are not allowed; values of physical constants are given on the paper. CBSE's sample paper confirms the design is the same as last session. Nine units spread over 14 NCERT chapters are grouped into four mark blocks:

CBSE Class 12 physics theory, 2026-27: mark blocks and the slip each one invites
BlockTheory marksThe slip to watch for
Electrostatics, current, magnetism, induction and AC33Field and potential confused; signs in circuit loops; AC phase
Electromagnetic waves and optics18Mixed sign conventions for lenses and mirrors; unlabelled ray diagrams
Dual nature, atoms and nuclei12Energy units switched mid-answer
Semiconductor electronics7Studying transistors and logic gates, which are no longer in the syllabus

Section A has 16 one-mark items (12 multiple-choice and 4 assertion–reason). Section B has five two-mark questions, Section C seven of three marks, Section D two four-mark case studies, and Section E three long answers of five marks. Only about 38% of the marks are for recall; the rest ask the student to apply, analyse or evaluate. Class 12 has a single main board exam, and the 2027 date sheet is not out yet. Our Class 12 physics strategies article lists the derivations that keep returning, and the Class 12 physics tutor page maps the year.

How should tuition change for JEE or NEET physics?

Entrance tests draw on the same chapters but reward different habits, and their syllabi are set by the conducting body, not CBSE, so they may include topics the board has dropped. These are the 2026 patterns; check the current information bulletin before relying on any detail.

  • JEE Main Paper 1. A three-hour computer-based test of 75 questions for 300 marks, scored +4 and −1. Physics was 25 questions: 20 multiple-choice and 5 numerical-value. Tuition should build speed on multi-step problems and an honest review of every mock test.
  • JEE Advanced. In 2026 it was open only to the top 2,50,000 candidates from JEE Main. Its physics rewards depth across several concepts in one problem, so past Advanced papers belong in the plan.
  • NEET (UG). A three-hour pen-and-paper exam, +4 and −1, in which physics was 45 of 180 questions and 180 of 720 marks. Accuracy on NCERT concepts matters more than risky attempts.

See our JEE physics topic-wise guide and the high-yield NEET physics chapters for priorities, and the coaching or home tutor for JEE article if you are weighing the two.

Can a home tutor prepare a student for the practical exam?

Partly. The 30 practical marks are made up of two experiments at 7 each, the record at 5, an activity at 3, an investigatory project at 3 and a viva at 5. Apparatus stays in the school laboratory. At home, a tutor can check that the student knows the aim and circuit or ray diagram of each experiment, can draw an observation table, and can name sources of error and the precautions against them. The most useful session is a mock viva, with the tutor asking why readings are repeated or what would change with a thicker wire.

Can a physics tutor keep a late slot in your part of Faridabad?

Senior students often finish coaching before physics tuition starts, so the slot tends to be late. Whether a tutor can keep it depends on the route more than the address. Six localities from different zones show the range; compare tutors near you on our Faridabad page.

Beside the Violet Line

Sector 19 sits right next to Badkhal Mor station, so tutors from across the city can walk from the platform. Most homes are builder floors; share the floor number in advance. Sector 31 has Mewla Maharajpur station inside it and Sector 28 station close by, and it mixes homes with shops and offices along Mathura Road and Old Sher Shah Suri Road. The chhatri and old well at Mewla were notified as state-protected monuments in 2018.

Old city and the hills

Old Faridabad is the historic core of the city, dense with houses, builder floors and traditional markets, and has both the Faridabad railway station in Sector 20A and the Old Faridabad metro station. There are few gated complexes, so tutors come to the door. In Sector 43, on the Surajkund–Badkhal Road at the foot of the Aravalli, society flats sit beside builder floors. Metro users take an auto up from Mewla Maharajpur or Sector 28, and a slightly later slot often suits the road.

The south and Neharpar

Sector 64, one of the newer HSVP sectors around Ballabhgarh, is largely plotted, with houses and new builder floors. Tutors from Ballabhgarh tend to ride over, and others take the metro to Raja Nahar Singh. Sector 83 in Greater Faridabad is mostly newer apartment complexes; Bata Chowk and Neelam Chowk Ajronda, across the canal, are the usual stations. Pre-approve the tutor at the gate, and ask whether they already teach in nearby societies.

The Violet Line has served Faridabad since 6 September 2015, and since 19 November 2018 it has continued to Raja Nahar Singh in Ballabhgarh. For a senior physics student that means a tutor living near any station, from Sarai in the north to Ballabhgarh in the south, can reach Sector 19, Sector 31 or Old Faridabad by train. Neharpar sectors always need a road leg over the Agra canal. On the latest evenings, one online session a week with the same tutor keeps the plan from slipping.

What about ISC, IB, IGCSE and HBSE physics?

A strong CBSE physics tutor is not automatically ready for another course, so we match on the course and level you name.

  • ISC. The paper is set by CISCE, with practical and project work besides theory, and it expects numericals set out more fully than a typical CBSE answer. Confirm the tutor knows your exam year's syllabus.
  • IB Diploma. Physics at SL or HL puts weight on data and uncertainties. The internal investigation must be entirely the student's; a tutor may advise but writes none of it.
  • Cambridge IGCSE. Core or Extended tier. Students moving into CBSE Class 11 afterwards often need early help with vectors, graphs and derivations.
  • HBSE. Students on the Board of School Education Haryana, based in Bhiwani, should work from the board's own books and check bseh.org.in for its current syllabus and exam arrangements.

Specialists for these courses are fewer, so name the course early. If none can reach you, an online specialist and a nearby tutor for practice work well together.

Why start physics tuition in Class 11?

The first months of Class 11 move quickly from units and measurement to motion in one and two dimensions, Newton's laws, work and energy, rotation and gravitation. Every one of these assumes comfort with vectors, graphs and rates of change, often before the maths class has covered them. Class 12 then reuses the same tools: electrostatics is forces, fields and energy again, with charges in place of masses. A few weeks spent on components, slopes, areas under graphs and the meaning of a derivative in Class 11 costs far less than repairing both years just before the boards. The Class 11 physics tutor page goes chapter by chapter, and the national physics home tutor page covers the wider picture.

How much should you budget for physics tuition in Faridabad?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own rates. The quote reflects the target, from the board paper to JEE Advanced, the tutor's experience at that level, the evening journey to your zone and how many sessions a week you want. Online sessions with the same tutor can cost less. Each fee is visible before the demo.

How do you book a physics demo?

Tell us the class, the course, whether the aim is the board, JEE or NEET, your sector or society and which evenings are free after school and coaching. We send two or three matched physics tutors with their fees, and you choose one for a free demo class. If it is not the right fit, we arrange the next tutor, and changing tutor later is free too. When nobody suitable can reach you at the hour you need, we suggest online or mixed sessions. NXTutors also teaches online across India from its office in Sector 66, Gurugram.

Physics Home Tutor in Faridabad: common questions

How much does a physics home tutor in Faridabad charge?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own rate, and all shortlisted fees are on screen before the free demo.

How are the 70 theory marks divided in CBSE Class 12 physics?

Into four blocks for 2026-27. Electricity and magnetism carries 33, electromagnetic waves and optics 18, dual nature, atoms and nuclei 12, and semiconductor electronics 7. The three-hour paper has 33 compulsory questions in five sections, and a separate practical examination is worth 30 marks, including a viva.

Are transistors and logic gates in the 2026-27 board syllabus?

No. The current CBSE Class 12 physics curriculum leaves them out, although older guidebooks still include them. A tutor who keeps up should know this without being told. JEE and NEET syllabi are published separately, so an entrance student should check those official lists before dropping any topic.

How much of JEE Main and NEET is physics?

In 2026, JEE Main Paper 1 had 25 physics questions out of 75: 20 multiple-choice and 5 numerical-value. NEET (UG) had 45 physics questions out of 180, worth 180 of the 720 marks. Both used +4 and −1 scoring, and NTA confirms the pattern afresh each year.

Which parts of Faridabad are easiest for a physics tutor coming by metro?

Sectors with a Violet Line station inside or beside them. Sector 19 is next to Badkhal Mor, Sector 31 contains Mewla Maharajpur, and Old Faridabad has its own station. In Greater Faridabad, including Sector 83, there is no station, so tutors come by road or by metro and auto.

Can a tutor help with the physics practical and viva?

Yes, on paper. The 30 practical marks cover two experiments, the record, an activity, a project and a viva. At home a tutor revises aims, diagrams, observation tables, errors and precautions, and runs a mock viva. The apparatus work itself happens in the school laboratory, not at home.

Is Class 11 a good time to start physics tuition?

Usually, yes. Kinematics, Newton's laws and rotation arrive early and depend on vectors, graphs and rates of change. Class 12 electrostatics reuses those same tools with charges. Fixing them in Class 11 is much cheaper than patching gaps in both years during the months before the board exam.

Do you have physics tutors for HBSE, ISC or IB students?

Yes. We match on the exact course and level. HBSE students should work from the Haryana board's own books and its notices on bseh.org.in; ISC students need a tutor who knows their exam year's syllabus; IB students need SL or HL experience. Online specialists fill any local gap.
