Home Tuition in Greater Faridabad (Neharpar): A Sector Guide
In Greater Faridabad, the Neharpar sectors across the Agra canal, most families live in gated societies, so home tuition starts with a visitor entry at the gate. There is no metro station on this side of the canal, so a tutor either lives in Neharpar, rides in on a two-wheeler, or takes the Violet Line and finishes by auto or cab. The canal crossings are busiest at office hours, which makes the start time of a weekday class the thing to plan.
This guide covers both Greater Faridabad zones, Sectors 75 to 80 and Sectors 81 to 89. It explains how Neharpar is laid out, which station tutors use for each sector, how to set up gate entry, when to time a class, and when an online tutor makes more sense.
What is Greater Faridabad?
The Agra canal is the landmark that separates Greater Faridabad, also known as Neharpar, from the older part of the city. On this side, Sectors 66 to 74 are industrial and Sectors 75 to 89 are residential. Most housing is multi-storey gated societies, with builder floors, plots and independent houses in some sectors.
A few roads shape a tutor's trip. The Faridabad Bypass Road links Neharpar with the older sectors across the canal. The DND–Faridabad–Sohna highway (NH-148NA) runs along the bypass and crosses the canal at Sehatpur bridge. Tigaon Road serves the southern sectors, and Kheri Road the northern ones. The Faridabad–Noida–Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway's Haryana section was reported as only partly complete in June 2025, so it is not a route to plan a tuition trip around.

Sectors 75 to 80: the southern belt
These sectors sit off Tigaon Road and the DND–Faridabad–Sohna highway, with villages such as Neemka and Badauli on their edges.
- Sectors 75 and 76: gated societies and builder floors, with some plots in 76. Tutors from the old city cross the canal, so plan the route before the demo.
- Sector 77: builder floors through to large gated townships. Townships usually issue a visitor pass; builder floors allow a doorstep visit.
- Sector 78: mostly flats in gated societies, in the middle of the southern sectors. With many families living close together, a tutor who teaches two or three students in the area can keep travel manageable.
- Sector 79: homes around a large open-air shopping, office and dining street, which makes the sector easy to find but crowded on evenings and weekends. Ask the tutor to allow a little extra time.
- Sector 80: mostly two- and three-bedroom apartments. It lies between the southern and northern sectors, so it can draw tutors from both.
Sectors 81 to 89: the northern belt
These sectors run along Kheri Road towards the canal crossings, with villages such as Bathola, Kheri Khurd, Budena and Tikawali alongside.
- Sectors 81, 82 and 83: gated apartment societies, including affordable-housing blocks in 82 and newer complexes in 83. Neelam Chowk Ajronda and Bata Chowk are the stations usually given, followed by an auto.
- Sector 84: lettered blocks of plots and houses with their own block markets, alongside apartments. In the blocks, the tutor comes straight to the door.
- Sectors 85 and 86: builder apartments and affordable-housing societies, with builder floors and some houses in 86. Sector 86 is one of the nearer Neharpar sectors to the old city.
- Sector 87: plots, builder floors, houses and newer apartment projects, facing Sectors 16 to 18 across the canal. Being close to the Kheri Road crossing, it is one of the easier Neharpar sectors to reach from the old city.
- Sectors 88 and 89: apartment societies with builder floors and plotted homes in 88, and relatively new housing societies in 89 at the northern end of the belt.
How do tutors reach Neharpar?
The Violet Line stays on the old-city side of the canal. Its Faridabad section, Badarpur Border to Escorts Mujesar, opened on 6 September 2015 and was extended to Raja Nahar Singh in Ballabhgarh on 19 November 2018. A tutor who comes by metro gets off at the station usually given for your sector and continues by auto, shared ride or cab across the canal.
- A tutor living in Neharpar: the simplest option, with no canal crossing. Evening classes are much easier to schedule.
- A tutor on a two-wheeler from the old city: the next easiest, especially for Sectors 86 and 87 near the crossings.
- Metro plus auto or cab: works for every sector, but allow a margin for the first few visits while the tutor learns the route.
Setting up gate entry in a society
Most classes in Greater Faridabad start at a society gate, and each society runs its own checks. A few steps save time at every visit:
- Before the demo: give security the tutor's name and phone number, or pre-approve them on the society's visitor system.
- On the first visit: be ready for a confirmation call from the gate before the tutor is let in.
- Once you continue: ask for a standing visitor pass, and share the tower, flat number and where a two-wheeler can park.
In the plotted blocks of Sectors 84 and 87, and in builder floors elsewhere, the tutor usually rings the bell, so a clear address and landmark are enough.
When should a weekday class start?
The canal crossings and the roads back towards Mathura Road fill up at office hours. A class that starts a little outside the evening rush is the one most likely to begin on time, especially with a tutor coming from the old city. Around the Sector 79 shopping street, avoid the busiest evening and weekend hours. Weekend mornings suit longer revision sessions everywhere in Neharpar.
Home or online in Greater Faridabad?
With so many families in large societies, a home tutor for school subjects often lives in a neighbouring sector. Specialists are harder to find locally: a tutor for IB, IGCSE, senior-class physics or entrance preparation may live across the canal or further away. Many Neharpar families keep a home tutor from a nearby sector for regular schoolwork and add online classes for the specialist subject, which also makes a handy back-up on busy days. Frequently asked questions
Is there a metro station in Greater Faridabad?
No. The Violet Line runs along Mathura Road on the old-city side of the Agra canal. Tutors who travel by metro get off at the station usually given for your sector, such as Escorts Mujesar, Bata Chowk or Neelam Chowk Ajronda, and cross the canal by auto, shared ride or cab.
Do tutors need a gate pass in Neharpar societies?
Yes, in most. Each society runs its own gate checks, so give security the tutor's name and number before the free demo and expect a confirmation call on the first visit. In the plotted blocks of Sectors 84 and 87, and in builder floors, the tutor usually comes straight to the door.
Which Neharpar sectors are easiest to reach from the old city?
Sectors 86 and 87 are among the nearest to the older sectors, and Sector 87 sits close to the canal crossing on Kheri Road. Tutors from the old city can serve them more easily than the southern sectors. A tutor who lives inside Greater Faridabad avoids the crossing altogether.
When is the easiest time for a home class in Greater Faridabad?
A weekday class that starts a little outside the evening office rush on the canal crossings is the most reliable, especially if the tutor comes from the old city. Around the Sector 79 shopping street, avoid the busiest evening hours. Weekend mornings suit longer sessions across all the Neharpar sectors.
How much does home tuition cost in Greater Faridabad?
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, which you see before the free demo.
