Home Tuition in NIT and Central Faridabad: A Sector-by-Sector Guide
In NIT, Old Faridabad and the central sectors along Mathura Road, most homes are independent houses or builder floors, so a home tutor usually comes straight to the door. What decides whether a weekly class stays on time is the trip: a string of Violet Line stations runs through this belt, and a tutor who comes by metro and finishes by auto can skip the evening rush on Mathura Road. The slot that holds up most reliably is an early after-school one.
This guide covers three zones on the old-city side of the Agra canal in Faridabad: NIT and Old Faridabad, the Central Sectors along Mathura Road, and Sectors 28 to 31 with Sector 37. It shows how the areas group, which station serves which sector, doorstep and gate routines, and when to time a class.
How do these three zones fit together?
Faridabad grew along Mathura Road. The city was founded in 1607, and Old Faridabad is its historic core. The New Industrial Township, or NIT, grew out of the resettlement of families displaced by Partition. The planned sectors on either side of the road were laid out by the Haryana Urban Development Authority, now HSVP. The Violet Line follows the same road: its section from Badarpur Border to Escorts Mujesar opened on 6 September 2015, and the extension to Raja Nahar Singh in Ballabhgarh followed on 19 November 2018.

Which station serves which sector?
Many tutors do not drive, so the station nearest your home decides how many of them can reach you easily:
- Sarai for Sector 37, with Badarpur Border also close on the Delhi side.
- Mewla Maharajpur, inside Sector 31, and Sector 28 station for Sectors 28 to 30 and the Sector 21C side.
- Badkhal Mor, in Sector 19, for Sector 18 and the Sector 21 pockets.
- Old Faridabad, in Sector 16A, for Old Faridabad and Sectors 16, 17 and 18.
- Neelam Chowk Ajronda, inside Sector 15A, for Sector 15, NIT and Dabua Colony.
- Bata Chowk, on Mathura Road in Sector 12, for NIT and Sectors 10, 12 and 14.
- Escorts Mujesar and Sant Surdas (Sihi) for Sectors 7, 9 and 11 at the southern end.
Faridabad railway station is in Sector 20A, Old Faridabad, and Faridabad New Town, the next station, is close to Sectors 10 and 15A.
NIT and Old Faridabad: doorstep lanes
NIT is spread across numbered areas such as NIT 1, NIT 2, NIT 3 and NIT 5, with long-established markets and workshops between the homes, and Old Faridabad is just as dense. Market roads fill up in the evening, so early after-school sessions and weekend mornings are easier to keep regular. There are few gated complexes, so the tutor rings the bell, but lanes are narrow and parking near the markets is tight. A two-wheeler, or the metro and an auto, beats a car here.
- Jawahar Colony: closely built houses and small flats near Mathura Road and the main railway line. Crossing both is slow in the evening rush, so a slot soon after school suits it.
- Dabua Colony: an affordable colony within Sector 50. Lanes can confuse a first-time visitor, so share the block and the nearest landmark.
The central sectors along Mathura Road
Sectors 7 to 11: the southern end
These are plotted sectors, so most visits are to the door of a house and parking outside is usually possible. Much of Sector 10 is a Housing Board Colony laid out in lettered blocks and pockets that look alike on a first visit, so put the block and pocket in the address you share. In Sector 11, a few apartment buildings ask for the visitor's name at the entrance.
Sectors 12, 14, 15 and 15A: around Bata Chowk and Neelam Chowk
Sector 15A has a Violet Line station inside it, so tutors from anywhere on the line reach it easily. Sectors 14 and 15 have wide internal roads and busy main markets, and Sector 12 mixes apartments with builder floors and houses. In an apartment building, give the tutor's name to the gate before the first class; elsewhere, an address and a landmark are enough.
Sectors 16 to 21C: towards Old Faridabad and Badkhal
- Sectors 16 and 16A: houses and builder floors. Parking around the Sector 16 market is tight in the evening, while 16A sits close to both the Old Faridabad metro and the railway station.
- Sector 17: one of the more upmarket HUDA sectors, with villas and houses on wide, green roads. In its few gated societies, register the tutor with security before the demo.
- Sectors 18 and 19: houses, rental floors and, in Sector 19, mostly builder floors beside Badkhal Mor station. Share the floor number in advance.
- Sectors 21A, 21B, 21D and 21C: houses, builder floors and some apartments between Old Faridabad and Badkhal. 21B is closest to the stations; for 21D a two-wheeler is handier. Apartment buildings in 21C, along the Surajkund–Badkhal road, usually want the tutor's name at the gate.
Sectors 28 to 31 and 37
Three Violet Line stations, Sector 28, Mewla Maharajpur and Sarai, serve this zone.
- Sector 28: many older houses have been rebuilt as three- and four-bedroom builder floors, so expect a shared entry and an intercom rather than a gate.
- Sector 29: mostly plotted streets, with some flats in gated societies where security should have the tutor's name in advance.
- Sector 30: part of the sector is institutional, around the police lines, with residential pockets of flats and builder floors. A clear address and landmark are usually enough.
- Sector 31: homes mix with shops and offices, with Mewla Maharajpur station inside. Apartment blocks often ask for a gate pass.
- Sector 37: a green HSVP sector on the Delhi-border edge that draws tutors from south Delhi and central Faridabad. The metro to Sarai and a short auto ride avoids queues at the border crossing at peak hours.
When should a weekday class start?
- Soon after school. Mathura Road, the market roads and the Badkhal flyover are busiest at office hours, so an early after-school slot is the one most likely to start on time.
- After the rush, near the stations. In Sectors 28 to 31, where a tutor can come by metro, an evening slot once the office rush eases also works well.
- Weekend mornings for longer sessions, such as revision before tests.

Frequently asked questions
Which metro station is nearest to NIT Faridabad?
Bata Chowk and Neelam Chowk Ajronda on the Violet Line sit at the edges of NIT, and Old Faridabad station in Sector 16A is close to the NIT 5 side. Lanes inside the township are narrow, so tutors usually finish the trip by auto or come on a two-wheeler rather than by car.
Do tutors need a gate pass in the central sectors?
Mostly not. The central sectors are largely plotted, so the tutor comes to the door. Some apartment buildings in Sectors 11, 12, 21 and 21C, and the gated societies in Sector 17, ask for the visitor's name at the gate, so register the tutor before the free demo class.
When is the easiest time for a home class near Mathura Road?
A slot soon after school, before the evening office rush on Mathura Road and around the markets, is the most reliable. Weekend mornings suit longer sessions. Near Sector 28, Mewla Maharajpur and Sarai stations, a tutor who comes by metro can also manage an evening slot once the rush eases.
Is Sector 37 easy for tutors to reach?
Yes, from two directions. Sector 37 is on the Delhi-border edge, so it draws tutors from south Delhi as well as central Faridabad. Sarai is the nearest Violet Line station, with Badarpur Border close, and a short auto ride finishes the trip without queuing at the border crossing.
How much does home tuition cost in NIT and the central sectors?
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, which you see before the free demo.
