Home Tuition in Ballabhgarh and Surajkund, Faridabad: A Local Guide

By NXTutors Academic Team 8 min read

In Ballabhgarh and the southern sectors of Faridabad, most homes are plotted houses or builder floors, so a home tutor usually comes to the door, and the Violet Line ends at Raja Nahar Singh, right beside Ballabhgarh railway station. Around Surajkund and Sainik Colony, at the foot of the Aravallis, the metro is further away, so tutors mostly arrive by auto or their own vehicle and the start time matters more. In both zones, a regular slot that avoids school, office and factory-shift traffic is the one that lasts.

This guide covers two zones: Ballabhgarh and the Southern Sectors, and Surajkund and Sainik Colony. It sets out how the areas group, which station serves which sector, doorstep and gate routines, when to time a class, and when an online tutor fills the gap.

How do the two zones compare?

Ballabhgarh: the southern end of the Violet Line

Ballabhgarh is the old market town at the southern end of Faridabad, founded in 1739 and today a tehsil of Faridabad district. The Violet Line reached it on 19 November 2018, when the extension from Escorts Mujesar added two elevated stations, Sant Surdas (Sihi) and Raja Nahar Singh. Escorts Mujesar itself had opened on 6 September 2015 with the rest of the Faridabad corridor.

Raja Nahar Singh is the southern terminus of the line and connects with Ballabhgarh railway station, which is on the New Delhi–Mumbai main line and the New Delhi–Agra chord and is served by EMU trains. For tutors, that makes Ballabhgarh reachable by metro or local train from much of the city.

The old town and its colonies

The older colonies around the main market, such as Adarsh Nagar and Chawla Colony, are built up with individual homes and low-rise builder floors on smaller plots. There are no society gates, but lanes are tight and parking a car in the inner streets is awkward. A tutor on a two-wheeler fits in easily; otherwise, agree a pickup point near the metro or the market and let the tutor finish by auto or e-rickshaw.

Sectors 2 to 5

These settled HSVP sectors are largely plotted, with independent houses and builder floors and a few apartment blocks. Sectors 2 and 4 sit near Tigaon Road and Mohna Road; Sector 3 lies along the Faridabad Bypass Road; Sector 5 is near the Mujesar and Sihi villages. Visits are simple doorstep ones. The Violet Line stations along Mathura Road, including Sant Surdas (Sihi) and Raja Nahar Singh, serve them, and tutors from Ballabhgarh or the next sector often ride over.

Sectors 22 and 23

Sector 22 mixes planned housing with commerce around a busy market, and Sector 23 takes in the long-established Sanjay Colony, where many homes are two or three storeys on small plots. Parts of Sanjay Colony have narrow streets, so share clear landmarks for the first visit. Industrial areas are close by, and traffic peaks at factory shift changes, so evening or weekend classes are easier to fix.

Sectors 55 to 65

Sectors 55, 56 and 57 sit along the Ballabhgarh–Sohna Road, mostly on HSVP plots, with a few low-cost group-housing projects in 56 and industry next to 57. Sectors 62, 64 and 65 form a cluster off Mohna Road. Sector 64 is largely plotted, while 62 and 65 add group housing and authority-built flats, where the tutor may need to be registered at the gate. Public transport inside these sectors is limited, so most tutors come by two-wheeler, or by metro to Raja Nahar Singh and then an auto.

Surajkund and Sainik Colony: the Aravalli side

This zone runs along the foot of the Aravalli hills. Surajkund itself is a tenth-century reservoir whose name means "Lake of the Sun", and the Surajkund–Badkhal Road links Sector 43 with both Surajkund and Badkhal. The Gurugram–Faridabad road passes through the Aravalli area nearby.

  • Sector 43: housing sits alongside a university campus and several large school campuses, with builder floors and group-housing societies. Tutors come by metro to NHPC Chowk, Mewla Maharajpur or Sector 28 and take an auto up towards the hills.
  • Sector 45: mid-rise apartment blocks, builder floors and some houses between Sectors 43 and 46. In apartment blocks, add the tutor to the visitor list before the first class.
  • Sector 46: a quiet, green sector near the hills with apartments, builder floors and plotted houses. Sector 28 is the nearest station, but an auto or own vehicle is needed for the last part.
  • Sector 48: an older area of independent houses and long-established apartment blocks near the Gurugram–Faridabad road. Old Faridabad and Badkhal Mor are the nearest stations.
  • Sainik Colony: in Sector 49, with independent houses, builder floors and plots. Badkhal Mor and Bata Chowk are some way off, so tutors usually come by auto or their own vehicle.
  • Charmwood Village: a large residential township off the Surajkund–Badkhal Road, close to the Delhi border, with apartment blocks, villas and houses behind guarded gates. The nearest metro stations are Badarpur Border and Tughlakabad on the Delhi side.

When should a weekday class start?

  1. Ballabhgarh and Mathura Road: the market area and Mathura Road are busiest at school and office hours, so late-afternoon or weekend slots are easier to fix.
  2. Industrial edges (Sectors 22, 23, 56 and 57): plan around factory shift changes; a steady evening or weekend slot works well.
  3. Surajkund–Badkhal Road: traffic builds at school and college timings, so a slightly later evening slot suits Sector 43 and its neighbours.
  4. Sainik Colony: afternoons and later evenings avoid the rush on the Gurugram–Faridabad road.
  5. Every February: the Surajkund International Crafts Mela draws crowds, so families near Surajkund may switch to online lessons on the busiest days.

Home or online in these zones?

A home tutor for school subjects often lives in Ballabhgarh or the next sector, and plotted homes keep visits simple. On the Aravalli side, where the last leg depends on an auto or a car, a tutor from a neighbouring sector is worth asking for. For specialist boards, senior-class maths or science, or entrance preparation, many families pair a local home tutor with online classes. Our comparison of home and online tutors helps you split the week, and the guide to home tuition fees in Faridabad turns the fee range into a year's budget.

How NXTutors can help

Tell us your sector or colony, the class, board and subject, and we shortlist two or three matched tutors, at home where tutors are available near you and online across India. You see each tutor's fee before the demo, the first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free. Frequently asked questions

Which metro station serves Ballabhgarh?

Raja Nahar Singh, the southern terminus of the Violet Line, serves Ballabhgarh and connects with Ballabhgarh railway station; it opened on 19 November 2018. Sant Surdas (Sihi) serves the sectors a little further north. Tutors usually finish the trip by auto or e-rickshaw, or ride in on a two-wheeler through the colony lanes.

Do tutors need a gate pass in Ballabhgarh's sectors?

Tutors rarely need a gate pass in Ballabhgarh's sectors, since Sectors 2 to 5, 55 to 57 and 64 are largely plotted and visits are at the door. Group housing and authority flats in Sectors 62 and 65, and a few projects in Sector 56, may ask for the tutor to be registered at the gate first.

How do tutors reach Sainik Colony and Charmwood Village?

Tutors reach Sainik Colony and Charmwood Village in Faridabad mostly by auto or their own vehicle, as both sit some way from the metro. For Sainik Colony, in Sector 49, the nearest Violet Line stations are Badkhal Mor and Bata Chowk. Charmwood Village is closer to Badarpur Border and Tughlakabad, and its gated blocks need the tutor registered with security first.

Does the Surajkund crafts fair affect home classes?

Yes, the Surajkund International Crafts Mela, held every February, builds up traffic around Surajkund and can delay home classes nearby. Families in Charmwood Village and the sectors along the Surajkund–Badkhal Road may prefer to move a class online on the busiest days, keeping the same tutor and the same time.

How much does home tuition cost in Ballabhgarh and Surajkund?

Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, which you see before the free demo, and the Faridabad fee guide turns that range into a year's budget.

When should a weekday home class start in Ballabhgarh?

In Ballabhgarh, late-afternoon or weekend home classes are easiest to keep, since the market area and Mathura Road are busiest at school and office hours. Near the industrial edges in Sectors 22, 23, 56 and 57, plan around factory shift changes. Around Sector 43 on the Surajkund–Badkhal Road, a slightly later evening slot suits.
