Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Faridabad stretches a long way north to south, and the Agra canal splits the older city from the newer residential sectors of Greater Faridabad. A tutor who teaches your child's paper well is of little use if the trip to your sector falls apart every other Tuesday. NXTutors starts from both ends: the maths course your child is sitting, and the sector, colony or society you live in. We send two or three maths tutors who fit, you see each fee in advance, and the first class with the tutor you choose is a free demo.
The old city grew along Mathura Road, the historic Delhi–Agra route. The town itself dates to 1607, and after Partition the New Industrial Township, known as NIT, was built by families resettled here. Planned sectors followed along the same road, developed by HUDA, now HSVP. Across the Agra canal lies Greater Faridabad, also called Neharpar, where Sectors 75 to 89 are set aside for housing.
The Delhi Metro's Violet Line is the spine for tutors who do not drive. Its Faridabad section, from Badarpur Border to Escorts Mujesar, opened on 6 September 2015, and the extension to Raja Nahar Singh in Ballabhgarh followed on 19 November 2018. Every station sits on the old-city side of the canal, so Neharpar homes are reached by road, or by metro and then an auto. We use seven zones when matching:
| Zone | Housing you mostly find | How tutors usually arrive | Before the first class |
|---|---|---|---|
| NIT & Old Faridabad | Independent houses and builder floors in older colonies | Old Faridabad, Neelam Chowk Ajronda or Bata Chowk station, or by two-wheeler | Share a landmark with the house number |
| Central Sectors (Mathura Road) | Plotted HUDA sectors, floors and some flats | Violet Line stations along Mathura Road, then a short auto ride | Usually nothing: doorstep visits |
| Sectors 28–31 & 37 | Plots, builder floors, a few gated blocks | Sector 28, Mewla Maharajpur or Sarai station | Floor number and intercom details for builder floors |
| Surajkund & Sainik Colony | Houses and floors near the Aravalli, with apartment blocks | Mostly by auto or own vehicle; stations are further off | Agree a slot that suits a road journey |
| Ballabhgarh & Southern Sectors | Old-town colonies plus newer HSVP plots | Raja Nahar Singh metro or Ballabhgarh railway station | Say whether you are in the old town or a sector |
| Greater Faridabad (Sectors 75–80) | Mainly gated societies, some builder floors | By road over the canal, or metro plus auto | Add the tutor to the society's visitor list |
| Greater Faridabad (Sectors 81–89) | Societies, plus lettered blocks of plots in places | Across the canal via Kheri Road, or metro plus auto | Gate entry, or a doorstep visit in plotted blocks |
Compare tutors in any locality on our Faridabad page.
NIT Faridabad is spread over numbered areas such as NIT 1, 2, 3 and 5, mostly independent houses and builder floors beside long-running local markets. Bata Chowk and Neelam Chowk Ajronda stations sit at its edges, and a tutor on a two-wheeler moves through the older lanes more easily than one in a car. Sector 28 has a Violet Line station of its own name, and many older plots there have been rebuilt as builder floors. A tutor from Delhi or Ballabhgarh can ride the metro and walk the last stretch; share the floor and intercom details, as builder floors often have one shared entrance.
Sainik Colony, in Sector 49, was settled largely by ex-servicemen and their families and is mainly independent houses, floors and plots. Its nearest stations, Badkal Mor and Bata Chowk, are some way off, so most tutors come by auto or their own vehicle along the Gurugram–Faridabad road. Ballabhgarh, founded in 1739 and now a tehsil of the district, has two faces: old colonies round the main market and newer HSVP sectors on the bypass side. The railway station stands beside Raja Nahar Singh, the last stop on the Violet Line, which widens the pool of tutors who can come by train.
Sector 78 is largely apartments in gated societies in the middle of the southern Neharpar sectors. Because many families live close together, a maths tutor who already has one student there can often take a second. Sector 84 is organised into lettered blocks of plots and houses with block markets, alongside flats. In the blocks, the tutor comes to the door; in the societies, the gate will want a name. Tutors who live inside Greater Faridabad tend to be the easiest to schedule for evening maths here.
Ajay Vatsyayan writes the IB, IGCSE and ISC maths sections of this guide, and Abhinandan Tiwary writes the Class 10 CBSE and ICSE sections. Faridabad households follow several boards. Alongside CBSE, ICSE and ISC, some students take the Board of School Education Haryana (HBSE), the state board based in Bhiwani, and others take the IB Diploma or Cambridge IGCSE. Each sets its own syllabus and papers, and a tutor who knows one well can still trip over another.
| Stage and board | What the paper looks like | One habit worth building each week |
|---|---|---|
| Classes 5–8, any board | School tests; no board paper | Ten mixed questions on fractions, integers and simple equations |
| CBSE Class 10 (041 Standard or 241 Basic) | Board theory out of 80, school assessment out of 20 | One case-based question read aloud, then solved |
| ICSE Class 10 | One paper of 80 with 20 internal marks for the 2027 syllabus | A timed set with all working written out |
| HBSE secondary and senior secondary | Set by the Haryana board from its own syllabus | Practice from the student's own HBSE books and the board's current notices |
| CBSE Class 12 | 38 compulsory questions in five sections, 80 marks, plus 20 internal | A long calculus question every session |
| ISC Class 12 | 80-mark theory paper and 20 marks of project work | Questions from the syllabus for the student's own exam year |
| IB Diploma, IGCSE | AA or AI at SL or HL; IGCSE Core or Extended | Command-term practice; for IB, exploration advice without writing |
For HBSE students we keep advice general: the board announces its own syllabus, schedules and any changes on bseh.org.in, so the tutor should check there rather than assume the CBSE pattern applies.
Both CBSE Class 10 maths papers are three hours long. Standard puts more weight on application and analysis; Basic leans towards recall and understanding. A child who may take maths in Class 11 usually needs Standard, so settle it with the school early. For the 2026-27 session, around half of the board questions test competency through case studies, source passages, data and real-life applications.
From 2026, Class 10 has a compulsory main board exam and an optional later sitting in which a candidate can try to improve up to three subjects. The 2027 dates are not out yet; watch cbse.gov.in, and treat the main exam as the one that decides the result. Our CBSE Class 10 maths preparation guide goes chapter by chapter, the ICSE Class 10 maths guide covers the ICSE side, and the Class 10 maths tutor page sets out a board-year plan.
Chapter order varies by school, so treat this as a pattern, not a calendar:
If the arrangement is not working by then, tell us. We arrange a demo with the next tutor on your shortlist, and switching costs nothing.
A tutor at the table who can watch each line of working is hard to replace, but a blend can help:
Our article on a home tutor versus an online tutor weighs both sides.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor sets their own fee, shaped by the course, the tutor's experience with it, the journey to your zone at your hour and the number of weekly sessions. Online sessions may cost less. Every shortlisted fee is on screen before the demo.
Send us your child's class, the maths course by name, your sector, colony or society, the days and hours that suit you, and a budget. We reply with two or three matched maths tutors and their fees, and you choose one for a free demo class. If no specialist can reach your part of Faridabad at that hour, we suggest an online or hybrid plan. NXTutors also teaches online across India from its office in Sector 66, Gurugram. For maths help elsewhere, see the national maths home tutor page.

Yes. Sectors 75 to 89 are Faridabad's newer residential belt, and we match tutors there as well as in the old city. No metro line crosses the canal, so tutors come by road or by metro and auto. A tutor who lives in Neharpar is often the easiest to schedule for evenings.
Those beside a Violet Line station. Sector 28 has its own stop, and NIT has Bata Chowk and Neelam Chowk Ajronda at its edges. In Ballabhgarh, Raja Nahar Singh metro sits next to the railway station. Around Sainik Colony and in Greater Faridabad, most tutors finish the trip by auto or vehicle.
Yes. Some Faridabad students follow the Board of School Education Haryana, and we look for tutors who teach from the student's HBSE books rather than CBSE material. The board publishes its own syllabus and notices on bseh.org.in, so the tutor should check there for anything that changes from year to year.
Both are three-hour papers out of 80, with 20 more from school assessment. Standard carries more application and analysis, while Basic stays closer to recall and understanding. If maths is likely in Class 11, Standard is usually needed. Discuss it with the school early, before the registration deadline makes the choice for you.
Older ISC papers let students choose between Section B and Section C. The CISCE syllabus for the 2027 and 2028 examinations has one paper of seven compulsory units, with calculus worth 35 of the 80 marks, plus 20 for project work. Make sure the tutor teaches from your child's exam-year syllabus.
It can be, when each session has a clear purpose. One or two a week can cover unsolved sheet problems, patterns in test mistakes and board-style written answers. In 2026, JEE Main Paper 1 had 25 maths questions out of 75, so steady accuracy across the syllabus matters as much as speed.
Yes. A home session suits new chapters and handwritten practice, and an online session suits doubts or a timed paper. Online time also brings in IB, IGCSE or ISC specialists from other zones, and keeps the week on track when the tutor cannot travel that day.
