Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

A commerce student in Class 11 or 12 carries three or four exam subjects that behave very differently. Accountancy is learnt by solving problems line by line; business studies is written theory with suggested answer lengths; economics mixes diagrams, definitions and some numericals; and maths or entrepreneurship may sit alongside. In Faridabad, the same stream is examined by the Haryana board, CBSE and ISC, each with its own papers. This page from the NXTutors Academic Team sets out the subjects and paper patterns by board, how to divide the help between one tutor or two, a weekly routine that keeps every paper moving, where CUET and CA Foundation fit, and how tutors reach different parts of the city.
Before we suggest anyone, we need the subject names exactly as they appear on your child's timetable, because the same word, "commerce", covers different papers on each board.
| Board | Main commerce papers | Detail to give the tutor |
|---|---|---|
| Haryana board (HBSE) | Accountancy, Business Study and Economics, with Entrepreneurship, Mathematics or Computer Science as further options; Hindi and English as languages | The medium (Hindi or English) and the Part B option in Class 12 accountancy |
| CBSE | Accountancy (055), Business Studies (054) and Economics (030), each 80 theory marks plus a 20-mark project | Which Part B option the school teaches in Class 12 accountancy |
| ISC | Accounts (858), Commerce (857) and Economics (856), with English compulsory | Whether maths is Mathematics or Applied Mathematics |
| Cambridge or IB | Cambridge has Accounting and Economics at IGCSE and A Level; the IB Diploma has Business Management and Economics, with no separate accounting course | The syllabus code or IB subject and level |
Single-subject detail is on our Faridabad pages for accountancy and economics. This page looks at the stream as a whole.
The board's model papers for the 2026-27 session show three quite different papers, which is why a single "commerce tutor" needs to be comfortable with all three formats.
| Subject | Paper | What it rewards |
|---|---|---|
| Accountancy | 3 hours, 60 marks, 30 questions; Part A for all, then Part B as either Analysis of Financial Statements or Computerised Accounting | Accurate formats and working across 1-, 2-, 3- and 5-mark questions; internal choice in some |
| Business Studies | 3 hours, 80 marks, 35 questions | Answers of the length the paper suggests: about 50 to 75 words for 3 marks, 150 for 4, 200 for 6 |
| Economics | 3 hours, 80 marks, in two parts | Part A microeconomics and Part B macroeconomics, each with objective items and written answers |
Papers are set for Hindi-medium and English-medium candidates, so tell us the medium; theory answers should use the terms your child's textbook uses. Practice should come from the board's own model papers and stepwise marking schemes on bseh.org.in. The board's FAQ also notes that Computer Science can be taken as an elective in any stream, and that a student who failed one subject in Class 10 can still join Commerce in Class 11 if that subject is cleared within the next two chances. Our Haryana board tutors in Faridabad page covers the board in full.
Commerce subjects come in two kinds. Accountancy, and maths where it is taken, are worked on paper and learnt through volume of practice. Business studies, ISC Commerce and much of economics are written theory, with diagrams and a few calculations in economics. Few tutors are equally strong at both, so this is the real choice.
| Arrangement | Suits | The risk |
|---|---|---|
| Accountancy tutor only | Students who manage theory alone but stall at adjustments, partnership or company accounts | Business studies left until the last month |
| One tutor across all subjects | Class 11, or families who want one weekly slot and one contact | Make sure the demo includes a theory answer, not only a ledger |
| Two tutors, numerical and theory | Class 12 students with a high target | Two timetables; agree who keeps the overall plan |
| Accountancy at home, theory online | When the accountancy tutor is local but the theory specialist lives far away | Theory answers still need line-by-line marking; send photos |
English matters too: nearly every commerce student sits it, and its marks count like any other paper. If writing is weak, see English home tutors in Faridabad; for maths, see maths home tutors in Faridabad.
The usual problem in commerce is not difficulty but neglect: whichever subject feels urgent takes the week, and the others drift. A simple routine prevents that.
| Day | Task | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Tuition day 1 | Accountancy: one new topic, then two full questions in the correct format | About 75 minutes |
| Next day | Business studies: two answers written to the suggested word length, then checked against the textbook | 40 minutes |
| Mid-week | Economics: one diagram drawn from memory and explained in writing, plus a short numerical | 40 minutes |
| Tuition day 2 | Theory answers marked; economics doubts; accountancy errors from the week reviewed | About 60 minutes |
| Weekend | One timed section from a model or past paper, rotating the subject each week | 45–60 minutes |
Adjust it to your child's board and target, but keep the principle: every subject touched every week, and every written answer seen by someone who marks it.
Class 11 sets up everything that follows. Accountancy starts the recording process from nothing, economics introduces statistics and demand and supply, and business studies builds a vocabulary of terms. Starting a tutor in the first term of Class 11 costs far less than repairing gaps later. In Class 12, accountancy moves to partnerships and companies, plus the Part B option; economics turns to the economy as a whole; and board exams, entrance tests and college decisions all arrive in the same season.
A quick self-check helps parents judge readiness for Class 12 accountancy. Ask your child to explain, without notes, what a trial balance proves and what it cannot prove, and to name two adjustments that change both the profit figure and the balance sheet. A student who answers both cleanly is ready for partnership chapters; one who hesitates needs a few weeks of Class 11 revision first, and that is the most useful job to give a new tutor.
CUET (UG). The NTA's information bulletin for 2026 includes Accountancy / Book Keeping (301), Economics / Business Economics (309) and Business Studies among its domain subjects, each tested with 50 compulsory questions in 60 minutes on NCERT's Class 12 syllabus. Haryana board and ISC students should check those NCERT chapters against their own syllabus; the bulletin on cuet.nta.nic.in is the reference for each year.
CA Foundation. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India lists four papers for the Foundation course under its new scheme: Accounting, Business Laws, Quantitative Aptitude and Business Economics. Accounting and economics overlap with school work; law and aptitude are new. Eligibility and timing are set by the institute on icai.org. Tell the tutor if Foundation is the goal so the school work is taught with it in mind.
The other zones work the same way: Sectors 28 to 31 and 37 along the metro, Surajkund and Sainik Colony towards the hills, and Greater Faridabad across the canal in Sectors 75 to 80 and 81 to 89. Our Ballabhgarh and Surajkund guide covers the southern roads.
Accountancy benefits most from a tutor at the table, watching formats and adjustments being written and catching errors as they happen. Theory subjects travel well online: the student writes on paper and sends photos, and the tutor marks the structure and length of each answer. Families in Faridabad often keep accountancy at home and move business studies or economics online, which also keeps lessons going on evenings when Mathura Road or the canal crossings are jammed. See our home or online guide for more.
We suggest two or three matched tutors and show each fee before the demo; the first class is free and switching tutor later is free. Tutor profiles are marked Verified only after an ID check. The demo class checklist has more ideas.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. One tutor across subjects or two specialists changes the weekly total; see the pricing guide and home tuition fees in Faridabad.
Send the class, board, medium, subjects, your sector and free slots, and book the free demo class, or browse tutor profiles first. If you teach commerce subjects, see tuition jobs in Faridabad.
To find a commerce home tutor in Faridabad, send the class, board, the medium for Haryana board students, the subjects, your sector and free slots. We shortlist two or three matched tutors who teach those papers and can reach you, each fee shown before the first class. The first class is a free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
For Faridabad commerce students, the Haryana board's 2026-27 Class 12 accountancy model paper is three hours and 60 marks, with 30 questions. Part A is compulsory, and in Part B the student answers either Analysis of Financial Statements or Computerised Accounting. Check your school's option and the medium before tuition starts.
One Faridabad tutor can sometimes teach all three commerce subjects, especially in Class 11, but few are equally strong at numerical and theory work. Accountancy is learnt by practice, while business studies and much of economics are written theory. Many Class 12 students do better with one tutor for accountancy and another for the theory papers.
On the Haryana board's 2026-27 model paper that Faridabad students practise from, business studies answers should run about 50 to 75 words for 3 marks. The guidance is about 150 words for 4 marks and about 200 for 6 marks. A tutor should time and count answers in practice so your child writes to length.
A Faridabad commerce student gains most by starting tuition in the first term of Class 11, because accountancy builds from journal and ledger to final accounts. Starting then costs fewer sessions than repairing gaps in Class 12, when partnerships, company accounts and entrance tests all arrive together.
Yes, board commerce preparation helps Faridabad students with CUET, because the NTA's 2026 bulletin lists Accountancy, Economics and Business Studies as domain subjects. Each has 50 compulsory questions in 60 minutes on NCERT's Class 12 syllabus. Haryana board and ISC students should compare their syllabus with those chapters and add timed objective practice.
For a Faridabad commerce student, CA Foundation's Accounting and Business Economics papers overlap with school work, while Business Laws and Quantitative Aptitude are new. These are the four Foundation papers the institute lists under its new scheme, so tell the tutor if Foundation is the goal. Eligibility and timing are set by the institute on icai.org.
A Faridabad parent can check Class 12 accountancy readiness by asking the child, without notes, what a trial balance proves and what it cannot. Then ask for two adjustments that change both profit and the balance sheet. A clean answer means partnership chapters can start; hesitation means a few weeks of Class 11 revision first.
Many Faridabad families keep accountancy at home and move business studies or economics online, because accountancy gains most from a tutor watching formats being written. Theory travels well online: the student writes on paper, sends photos, and the tutor marks structure and length. It also keeps lessons going when Mathura Road or the canal crossings jam.
