Tutors who join go through an ID check. Tell us the class, board and your area: we share two or three matched tutors, each with their fee, and the first class is a free demo, at home or online.
Book a free demo classAcross NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Commerce students in Classes 11 and 12 carry a bundle rather than a subject: accountancy, economics and business studies, usually English, and often maths or applied maths. Each peaks at a different point in the year, and each is marked differently on CBSE, the UP Board and ISC. The decision for a Noida family is rarely "do we need a tutor" and more often "one tutor for everything, or a numbers specialist and a theory specialist". Written by the NXTutors Academic Team, this page compares the subjects on each board, weighs up one tutor against two, places CUET and CA Foundation in the picture, and shows how tutors get to each part of Noida.
Every board calls it commerce, but the subject names, codes, textbooks and marking differ. We match on the exact names printed on your child's timetable, so it helps to have them ready.
| Board | Core commerce subjects | What the tutor needs to know |
|---|---|---|
| CBSE | Accountancy (055), Business Studies (054) and Economics (030), with 80 marks for the paper and 20 internal in each; a choice of Mathematics (041) or Applied Mathematics (241) | The maths option on the timetable, and any choices the school makes inside the accountancy course |
| UP Board (UPMSP) | Accountancy (156), Business Studies (157) and Economics (136) appear on the board's Intermediate syllabus list, with maths, English and Hindi among other options | The exact combination the school offers, the prescribed textbooks and the medium of the paper |
| ISC | ISC Accounts (858), ISC Commerce (857) and ISC Economics (856); English is required for all, maths is a choice | The school's maths option and the parts of the accounts syllabus it teaches |
| Cambridge and IB | Cambridge offers Accounting and Economics from IGCSE through A Level; in the IB Diploma the nearest options are Business Management and Economics, since accounting is not a standalone subject | The exact syllabus code, or the IB course and level, and when the exams fall |
Single-subject detail, including mark splits by board, is on our Noida pages for accountancy and economics. This page looks at the stream as a whole.
The Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh, prescribes the courses and textbooks for its Intermediate examination, and its syllabus list for Classes 11 and 12 includes accountancy, business studies and economics. The board's site also posts a Class 12 model paper for accountancy, which it lists under its Hindi name, lekhashastra, and a month-wise syllabus that spreads each subject across the school year. Class 11 students can also meet commerce-flavoured vocational subjects on the board's list, such as accountancy and auditing, banking, or marketing and salesmanship, so check which ones the school runs.
When matching a UP Board commerce tutor, we look for:
Check paper patterns and rules only on upmsp.edu.in. The board also publishes career-guidance notes for its commerce stream there, listing routes such as B.Com, BBA, and the CA, CS and CMA courses.
Think of the stream as two families of paper. Accountancy and maths are problem subjects: marks come from accurate entries and calculations, and skill grows with the number of questions solved. Economics, business studies and ISC Commerce are mainly writing subjects, where marks come from definitions, well-organised points and the right terms, plus graphs and some calculation in economics. A tutor who is excellent at one family is often only average at the other, which is why the split matters more than the number of subjects.
| Set-up | Suits | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| Accountancy help only | A student comfortable writing theory who keeps losing marks on adjustments or partnership questions | Writing subjects quietly neglected until exam month |
| A single tutor for the whole stream | Most Class 11 students, and parents who prefer one slot and one person to talk to | A demo that tests only numericals; ask for a theory answer too |
| Split: problem subjects with one tutor, writing subjects with another | Class 12 students chasing high marks across every paper | Two schedules; decide who keeps the overall plan |
| Accountancy in person, writing subjects on screen | A strong accounts tutor nearby, with the economics specialist living further off | Long answers still need detailed marking; send clear photos of the full answer |
Do not forget English, which nearly every commerce student takes and which counts in the result like any other subject. Our English and maths pages for Noida explain what to look for there.
Habits formed in Class 11 carry Class 12. The first year introduces bookkeeping from scratch, statistics and basic market theory in economics, and the language of management in business studies. The second year turns to partnership and company accounts, national income and macroeconomics, and then the boards arrive alongside entrance forms and college decisions.
CUET (UG). In the 2026 bulletin from NTA, the domain subjects available to commerce students include Accountancy / Book Keeping under code 301, Economics / Business Economics under code 309, and Business Studies. Each domain paper had 50 questions, all compulsory, to be answered in an hour, drawn from NCERT's Class 12 syllabus. A UP Board or ISC student should line up their own syllabus against those NCERT chapters to spot gaps. Get the current year's bulletin from cuet.nta.nic.in, and leave fast multiple-choice drills until written board answers are secure; our CUET preparation guide goes further.
CA Foundation. Under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India's new scheme, Foundation has four papers: Accounting, Business Laws, Quantitative Aptitude and Business Economics. School accountancy and economics give a head start in two of them; law and quantitative aptitude are largely fresh material. The institute decides eligibility, registration and exam windows, so read them on icai.org, and let the tutor know if Foundation is part of the plan.
There is no promise of a commerce specialist in every sector. Shortlists begin with tutors living in or close to yours, move to tutors who already come your way, widen to the whole city, and finally include online tutors from across India. Whether a tutor can come every week depends mostly on the route:
Every sector appears on our Noida home tutors page, and the Sector 62 and 70s guide covers that part of the city in more depth.
Accountancy is easiest to teach side by side. When the tutor can see each column being filled in, a debit posted to the wrong account is spotted straight away. Economics and business studies cope well on video: the lesson is explanation and discussion, and a written answer can be marked from a shared file or a clear photo. Class 11 and 12 students also tend to be free only after dark. Many Noida families therefore book accountancy in person once or twice a week with someone from a neighbouring sector, and the writing subjects online in the evening. Our online tutoring for Noida students page explains the set-up, and female home tutors in Noida covers requests for a woman teacher.
If the fit is wrong, another tutor from your list can come for a separate demo, and a later change is also free. The demo class checklist has further questions.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Each tutor prices their own time, and the rate is shown on your shortlist before the demo. A single tutor teaching three or four commerce subjects will need longer or extra sessions, so weigh the cost per week, not per hour. For budgeting, see home tuition fees in Noida and our pricing guide.
To start, share the class and board, the full name of every subject, which ones worry you most, your sector, whether lessons should be at home, online or a mix, and your free hours. Two or three matched tutors come back, and the first lesson with your choice is a free demo. All tutors complete an ID check on joining, and you can look through tutor profiles at any time. Accountancy and economics teachers based in Noida can find families looking for help on tuition jobs in Noida.
To start commerce tuition in Noida, share the class and board, the full name of every subject, which ones worry you most, your sector and free hours. We send two or three matched tutors, each fee shown before the first class. The first lesson with your choice is a free demo, and a later change of tutor is free.
Commerce home tutors in Noida set their own fees, shown on your shortlist before the free demo. Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. One tutor teaching three or four commerce subjects needs longer or extra sessions, so compare the weekly cost, not the hourly rate.
The UP Board's Intermediate list, followed by its schools in Noida, includes accountancy (156), business studies (157) and economics (136), with maths, English and Hindi. Class 11 also lists vocational options such as accountancy and auditing, banking, and marketing and salesmanship. Confirm the exact combination your child's school offers and check upmsp.edu.in before choosing a tutor.
One tutor suits many Class 11 commerce students in Noida, but in Class 12 or with high targets, splitting the subjects between two tutors often works better. Accountancy and maths are problem subjects, while economics and business studies are mainly writing subjects, and few tutors are equally strong at both. If you split, decide who keeps the overall plan.
Under CBSE's 2026-27 curriculum, Noida commerce students take Accountancy (055), Business Studies (054) and Economics (030), each with an 80-mark paper and 20 internal marks. They choose either Mathematics (041) or Applied Mathematics (241), not both. English is part of almost every commerce student's subject list and counts like any other paper.
A commerce student in Noida should ideally start tuition early in Class 11, between April and the summer break, while journal entries and ledgers are new. Weak foundations in accountancy are hard to repair once partnership and company accounts arrive in Class 12. A tutor starting in Class 12 should begin with partnership accounts and full past papers.
For Noida commerce students, CUET (UG) tests the same subjects as school. The 2026 NTA bulletin listed Accountancy / Book Keeping (301), Economics / Business Economics (309) and Business Studies as domain subjects. Each had 50 compulsory questions in 60 minutes based on NCERT Class 12. UP Board and ISC students should compare their syllabus with those chapters and check the current bulletin.
Yes, school accountancy and economics give a Noida commerce student a head start in two of the four CA Foundation papers under ICAI's new scheme. The four are Accounting, Business Laws, Quantitative Aptitude and Business Economics, so law and quantitative aptitude are largely fresh material. ICAI decides eligibility and exam windows, so read them on icai.org.
For Noida commerce students, accountancy is easiest at home, where the tutor sees each entry being made, while economics and business studies work well online. Written answers can be marked from a shared document or clear photo. Many Noida families book accountancy in person with a tutor from a neighbouring sector and the theory subjects online in the evening.
At a Noida commerce demo, check that the tutor confirms the board, subject titles and textbook edition before teaching anything. During accounts work your child should do the writing, and for economics or business studies the tutor should mark a short written answer aloud, point by point. By the end you should have a weekly timetable showing which subject comes on which day.
Tell us the class, board and your area. We share two or three matched tutors, and the first class is a free demo.
