Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. Tutors set their own fee, and you see each tutor's fee before the demo class.
Monthly example: 3 one-hour classes a week ≈ ₹9,600–₹32,500 a month (12–13 classes at ₹800–₹2,500 an hour). An example, not a quote: your tutor's own fee decides the real figure.

Home tuition in Sector 79 works much as it does in any gated-society sector: you share the class, board, subject and the name of your society, and NXTutors comes back with two or three matched tutors who travel to Sector 79 or teach online. Fees show before booking, and the first class is a free demo in your own flat. Switching later costs nothing.
Sector 79 belongs to the Sectors 70–82 zone of Noida. What sets it apart is that it was planned as part of Noida's Sports City, so its societies carry sports names and sports facilities, and the Noida Sector 101 metro station of the Aqua Line has its postal address here. This guide covers what that means for a tutor's visit.
| Item | Sector 79 |
|---|---|
| Zone | Sectors 70–82; one of the sectors set aside for Noida's Sports City scheme |
| Housing | Gated group-housing societies, mostly high-rise towers with clubhouses and sports courts; one society also has a small cluster of villas |
| Nearest metro | Noida Sector 101 on the Aqua Line, an elevated station whose address is Sector 79; Noida Sector 76 is the next stop north |
| Main roads | Vikas Marg along the sector's edge towards the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway, Vishwakarma Road, and the FNG corridor close to the Civitech side |
| Where tutors usually come from | Neighbouring sectors such as 78, 77 and 76, other stops on the Aqua Line, and online for specialist subjects |
| Boards families ask about | Families here commonly ask about CBSE and ICSE/ISC, along with IB, Cambridge IGCSE and UP Board questions |
| Good session windows | Late afternoon after school, or later in the evening once office traffic on Vikas Marg and at the Sector 101 junction eases; weekend mornings for long sessions |
Sector 79 has a planning history unlike most of its neighbours. It was one of three sectors, with 78 and 150, that Noida earmarked for a Sports City, where roughly 70 per cent of the allotted land was meant for sports infrastructure and only about 30 per cent for homes and shops. That is why project names here lean on sport (Sportswood, Stadia, Golf Greens) and why listings talk up cricket pitches, tennis and basketball courts, and skating rinks inside the complexes. News reports have also covered long-running disputes over the sports component, so check with your own society what is open to residents.
Property portals describe the sector as low-density and planned, bordered by green belts on the Sector 78 and Sector 101 sides. Nearly all homes are flats in gated societies, and listing data shows 3 BHK as the type families look for most. Many residents commute to the office parks along the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway or to the Sector 62 corporate area, so evening routines in many homes depend on when a parent gets back from work.
These societies are listed in Sector 79 on property portals, RERA-linked listings and launch reports. The listings often disagree on tower counts, unit totals and possession dates, so those are left out.
For tuition, this mix matters in two ways. Most flats here are three bedrooms or larger, so a spare room or a quiet corner for lessons is often possible. And because sports facilities sit inside the societies, many children have evening practice slots, which the tuition timetable has to work around rather than against.
We found no Reddit or forum threads specific to tuition in Sector 79, so the themes below come from property-portal descriptions and news coverage of the sector. Each is turned into a practical point for planning tutor visits.
The other questions parents ask are familiar ones: will the tutor follow my child's board closely, can the timing stay fixed through the year, and is a senior subject better taught at home or online. The sections below deal with each.
Sector 79 has the advantage of a metro station on its own address. Noida Sector 101 is an elevated Aqua Line station that opened in January 2019, and Wikipedia lists its address as Sector 79. The next stop north is Noida Sector 76; the next stop south is Noida Sector 81, towards Greater Noida. The Aqua Line links to the Delhi Metro Blue Line through the Noida Sector 51 and Sector 52 pair, so a tutor coming from further away can change there and ride down.
How far the station is from your door depends on your society; one portal puts it at about 1.5 km from the sector. Tutors who come by metro usually finish by e-rickshaw or on foot, and tutors on a two-wheeler come in along Vikas Marg or Vishwakarma Road. Families on the Civitech Stadia side are close to the FNG corridor, which some tutors use from the Faridabad and Ghaziabad directions.
The short trips are from the sectors around you. Sector 78 is just across the green belt, and Sectors 77 and 76 are close by; a tutor already teaching in one of them can often fit a Sector 79 class into the same evening. We do not give travel minutes, because they change too much with the hour. Instead, ask each tutor where they will come from and when they usually pass the Sector 101 junction.
One small step saves time: send the tutor your society's name and gate, not only "Sector 79". The societies here are large and sit on different roads, and it is easy to confuse the sector with the metro station called Sector 101.
Every society listed in Sector 79 is gated, so a tutor's first visit starts at the security desk. Before the free demo, register the tutor as a guest on the society app or with the guard. Once you decide to continue, ask the society office how to give a regular weekly approval so the tutor is not held at the gate each time.
Tell the tutor your tower and flat number, the gate to use and where visitors can park a two-wheeler. Societies here include sports grounds and landscaped areas inside the boundary, so the walk from the gate to a far tower can be longer than it looks on a map; set the start time with that in mind.
In Sector 79, lessons mostly stay inside the flat. Sector 79 societies list clubhouses, multipurpose halls and, in one case, a day care centre, but whether a private tutor may use a shared room is a society rule, so ask before you plan on it. For younger children especially, keep an adult at home during the class and the door open.
If you prefer a woman tutor, say so in your request and we will look for a woman home tutor for Noida who fits the class and subject. Our ID check for joining tutors pairs a one-time phone or email code with a government photo ID, reviewed by the NXTutors team. This is an identity check, not a police or background check. See how the tutor ID check works, and use the demo to judge the teaching yourself.
Sector 79's Sports City societies, mostly 3 BHK flats and larger, ask about CBSE and ICSE/ISC first, with IB, Cambridge IGCSE and UP Board questions too. The local twist is the sports timetable: a board year has to share evenings with practice and tournaments.
To weigh the boards against each other, read our board-choice guide.
Young children usually do well with sessions of 45 minutes to an hour, three or four times a week. With sports grounds and play areas inside most societies, the pull to go outside is strong in the evening, so a slot soon after school and a snack, before play time, tends to hold attention better. A fixed, well-lit table away from the television helps, and an adult nearby keeps the session calm.
This is when Maths and Science become separate, heavier subjects. Many children here have one or two fixed evenings for sport, so build the tuition week around those days rather than adding a session after a tiring practice. A tutor who covers Maths and Science together suits many children at this age; a weekly notebook check keeps homework and tests together. A home tutor for maths in Noida is a common first request at this stage.
Board planning begins in Class 9. For CBSE students, plan for the main Class 10 exam first and treat the May sitting as a back-up for improvement. ICSE students carry more subjects, so tutors often divide them. Aim for two or three sessions of roughly 90 minutes on non-practice evenings, each with teaching and then a timed question. If your child is serious about a sport, talk to the tutor early about tournament weeks and how to make up missed classes.
Families usually move to one tutor per subject, such as Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, Accountancy or Economics. In a larger flat, a separate room for these longer sessions helps. Where an entrance exam is also planned, some families keep a home tutor for board subjects and use online classes for entrance practice; weekend mornings are often the easiest long block to protect.
Board exams for most Sector 79 students come early in the calendar year, with CBSE's second Class 10 exam in May and the IB and Cambridge on their own calendars. Use only each board's own site for dates, as listed in the sources. A few weeks out, agree with the tutor which sessions become revision and mock papers, and decide as a family whether sports practice should pause until the papers are done.
Home tuition suits Sector 79's large flats and gated societies: the tutor comes to you, the child stays home, and you can see how the class goes. The catch is that the tutor still has to cross Vikas Marg or the Sector 101 junction, so the slot has to suit their route too.
Online classes cut out the travel, which helps on wet monsoon evenings, in tournament weeks and when the right specialist lives far away. For senior IB, IGCSE or entrance subjects, online tuition for Noida students is often the most practical choice.
A coaching centre puts the travelling on your child, usually towards the busier commercial sectors, at the same evening hours when roads are slowest, and it eats into time that many Sector 79 children spend on sport. A mixed week is common here: a home tutor on one or two non-practice days for school subjects, plus an online slot for one specialist subject.
Across NXTutors, most home-tuition sessions fall between ₹800 and ₹2,500 an hour; Classes 11–12, IB/IGCSE and JEE/NEET sit toward the upper end; specialists for IB HL or JEE Advanced can charge more. The tutor sets the fee; NXTutors shows it before the demo.
In Sector 79 the fee moves with the class and board, the subject, the session length and the number of sessions each week. Distance counts as well. A tutor who already teaches in Sector 78 or 77 has a short trip; one coming from across the city at rush hour may ask for a higher rate or a longer minimum session.
Monthly cost equals the hourly fee multiplied by session hours and by sessions in that month. Agree early on holidays, classes dropped for tournaments or illness, and extra pre-exam classes.
We could not find a public library or community study room in Sector 79 itself. Ved Van Park, built by the Noida Authority in neighbouring Sector 78 and opened in 2023, was described in news coverage as a park for the societies of Sectors 74 to 79, and it makes a good walk between study blocks; check its timings before you go. The gardens and walking tracks inside the societies serve the same purpose, but for focused work most families depend on a quiet room at home.
All of these are in the Sectors 70–82 zone; the zone guide explains how the tower sectors and the older pocket sectors compare.

AI-first tutoring, with real teachers
You tell us the class, board, subject and where in Sector 79 you live. Our AI does the slow part of the search and returns two or three tutors who fit, not a long list to scroll. You see each tutor's fee before the free demo, and switching tutor later is free.
Where AI stops and people start
Move out to the wider area or in to nearby sectors. Tutors usually travel short distances, so the closest areas are the most useful places to look.
Distances are straight-line estimates between sector centres from OpenStreetMap data; the road route is usually longer.

Every child learns at a different pace, and a tutor in Sector 79 should notice that within the first lesson. When you ask for help on NXTutors, describe how your child studies: whether they need things explained twice, prefer to try first, or lose focus late in the evening. That helps us choose two or three people who suit them, not just the subject.
Sector 79 is part of Sectors 70–82; its eleven pages also include Sector 82 and Sector 71. Tutors who live in Sector 79 or list it as a place they visit appear at the start. Then come tutors from elsewhere in the zone, from across Noida, and home tutors who live in Delhi, with teachers who work online at the end. Each card states why it is shown.
For English, Accountancy or Biology in the senior school classes, Class 11 and 12, a home tutor once or twice a week may be enough; for JEE practice, an online specialist can add focused hours. Whichever you choose, the first class is free. If the fit is not right later, you can move to another tutor at no cost.
